It was a good place to stay - the location is premium! Such a good place to be close to big subway stations and the hustle and bustle of the market nearby. Pillows in the room were very bad we had sore sleeps from the lack of the cushion only 1 per person to. Size of room is small but that didn’t stop us! You move around it. The spa upstairs is private it had an epic view good place to relax for 20$ can after a long day. Although the hot tub was not hot at all it was at maybe 78? And the suana was not warm at all. But still fun. Cleaning was great! They came daily and we felt safe with our things out.

Didn’t get good sleep here, they only give you one pillow which was way too soft. My friend also found a stain on her duvet, though staff were very apologetic and of course changed it that day. The room itself is very small. The breakfast is also a small selection and pretty random too, as usual there is a Asian and Western option but for the Asian option which there is rice and soup (which was always lukewarm unless you chose the cream option) there’s not really any other thing to accompany it. The chef with glasses makes a mean omelette though, that is definitely the highlight of breakfast. The location is decent, 5mins away from the bustling Myeongdong and Myeongdong station and about 10mins from Chungmuro and Euljiro 3-ga.

However, there is no elevator at the exit, hence got to carry the luggages up to the ground level. Other than that, it is close to the main shopping area. There is also a rooftop bar that offers great view of Namsan tower

Stayed with in this hotel with my mom, two separate clean rooms with daily room make up options; Great location and convenient, pretty much across from one of the entrances into Myeong-dong Street Market; Emart 24 store directly next to the hotel for snacks, beverages and other miscellaneous items; 5-7 minute walk to the subway station; lots of close eateries and coffee options; great views from rooftop bar and restaurant; laundry option downstairs; staff is super friendly at the hotel, especially the super friendly and beautiful Lilly and the courteous gentleman named Tom; will definitely stay here again.

Highly-recommended for family as we have assigned to a connecting room prior our checkin request. Separate toilet and standing bathroom, do not expect a big size. 2 big 28” luggage’s will be very tight constraint. Nice view on 21st floor where our breakfast is. A good view of Namsan tower.

The room that was provided was comfortable and had good amenities. Unfortunately, in the 16th floor hallway was not as comfortable when the heat and humidity was high. The hotel was near the Myeongdong Station which was important because it made traveling easier. It is also near the night market which gives us a lot of cheap eats.

The first day, i have mentioned to the staff about my ac not working. It took some time to get someone to fix it. Eventually they were not able to fix it abd rooms were switched. The property itself is OK but it’s a little bit dated.. The hotel attempts to be aesthetically clean, but if you look at it very carefully, you can tell that: the shower glass hasn’t been cleaned in quite some time nor the mirrors nor underneath the bed.. the hotel has only one washing machine, Which is underwhelming, considering the amount of rooms that they have.. The gym is kind of an afterthought.. The location is good if you don’t want to be in the heart of the action and take it easy at night.. The rooftop views are impressive.. Overall, the hotel has to do some major renovations Because the potential is there.. They just really need to update The rooms and work on deep cleaning them every once in a while..

Jun was incredibly assertive in making sure my items I needed refridgerated which was lei's from Hawaii stayed cool and I can't compliment enough how nice each person at the front desk were. The room was very clean and hotel was extremely quite. Perfect place to stay in Myeondong if you want to shop and get around. Will definitely book this hotel again. Love Love the STAFF.

location is excellent, its near to the following: bus stop to and from the airport, train station, shopping, street food, etc

hotel staff: not so friendly, prefers Caucasians and looks down on brown colored Asian descent. I heard this about South Korea but I did not believe it.

restaurant staff though were excellent. They treat everyone the same.

the food were good. a few variations every day.

to sum up, I probably won’t be going back to South Korea.

The front desk clerk forgot to charge my stay so they called my room twice at 12:30 am then 1:30 am , demanding me to cone down or I had to get out of the property. The next day I plugged the coffee pot in outlet and it blew the circuit with sparks and the whole electric out . Engineer came and fixed it later. They advised me not to use the outlet.

Generally this is a positive review, but first the major con, noise, you will need earplugs to stay here

My room was on the 19th floor (the highest), and was facing the street. The glass is single pane and:

- Seoul drivers blow their horn constantly

- Some vehicles have especially loud exhausts fitted

- At midnight, there is a someone manually directing traffic using a loud whistle

- This is a major road, so the traffic doesn't calm until about 2am

- Other odd noises

I did ask at the desk about the noise but was told that as I was on the 19th floor the noise would probably be worse on other levels.

I suspect the main issue is because of the single pane glass, the window is the same size as the room. NB I also had a hotel in Busan which I noticed had the same kind of glass so I suspect that's a Korea thing

Now the list

Pros:
- location. You couldn't ask for better, it's a 5 min walk to the tube, and the tourist part of Myeongdong is pretty much right there
- I had issue getting a taxi on my last day but the staff were very helpful and sorted me out straight away
- The rooftop is nice (and is open)
- Breakfast was great
- Shower was fantastic, full size and powerful

Cons
- It has an ice machine in name only. There's just one, and on the ground floor, and dispenses something like 15 cubes every 30 or so minutes (there's a sign on it to that affect). It didn't work once in the time I was there
- Gym. Tiny
- Noise! NB none from inside the hotel itself

Location wise: the hotel is near the end of myeong-dong street so you do need to walk a bit to get to it.

The room was a bit small, so just a heads up. There was also construction outside, but the hotel gives you earplugs if the noise bothers you, which I thought was a nice gesture :)

It is a little over five minutes from the last stop of airport bus 6015, which departs from ICN. 24-hour Emart is right next door and also in the central shopping district of Myoungdong. The hotel room was a small business type, but it seemed like a brand new carpet and bathroom. It was a good shower, the AC was working great, and there was fast front desk service in & out.

Awful experience, had booked for 10 nights but left after the first.
Room photos are totally inaccurate, our room had a window totally blocked by a wall a foot away that seemed to house an enormous air con unit, the humm was so loud, we both woke up with splitting headaches. The air con in the room would not adjust the temp so we were sweating all night and the bathroom was impossibly small, been in korea for a month and it was the worst so far.

To add to all this the main reason we had booked the hotel was because of the rooftop bar as it was my husbands birthday but when we arrived found it was closed for renovation (no mention of this or any of the other issues on expedia where we booked.)

Thankfully left after the first night and have just checked into the Moxy Insadong and it is incredible and only slightly more expensive! And has a beautiful and open rooftop bar to save the day!

I stayed here with my 6 year old daughter. Very close to Myeongdong market and easily accessible. Continuous flow of public transport and good connection with other parts. Plus airport limousine stops close by. The hotel have amazing roof top bar and restaurant. Evening time you would get and awesome view of Seoul city. The restaurant serves good food. Not too many options but delicious. Had a pleasant stay. Thank you.

Good and central hotel

I stayed for 8 nights in March 2024. The hotel is easy to find and is very close to the subway lines (5 minutes to Myeong-dong on line 4 and then 15 minutes to the Euljiro on line 2). It’s very easy to get around Seoul because of this. I also got the Airport Limousine and that dropped me off and picked me up at Myeong-dong station so it was really easy to get too and from the airport.

The room itself was nice, a bit of wear and tear on the walls but nothing too bad. The bed was comfy and the room had everything it needed. The staff were also nice.

The only issue is there is construction close to the hotel (at the back) which starts around 8am until 6pm. I wasn’t too bad for me as I was out all day but on the days I did want a lie in it woke me up. This isn’t the hotels fault though and I’m and guessing it will only be temporary.

Regardless of this there were more positives so I’d recommend staying here.

This hotel is very convenient to any public transportation to get around Seoul! Also a convenient store right downstairs and a really good beer and chicken restaurant next door. They do have some construction going on right now during the day but it was no issue for us since we were out exploring during those hours. Overall we had a great stay and would stay here again!

It was a nice location to stay (Myeongdong market, shopping, food, subways) but the cleanliness is terrible. My towels regardless if I get new ones there’s always stains on them. The hallways are dark and same as my room. They had 4 broken bulbs and didn’t change it. The chair covering is old, blind for the bathroom and walls are yellow.

The location is still a long walking distance from the myeongdong streets. Need to cross a big junction to get to the Myeongdong side. Not very convenient.

The breakfast is the same everyday. We stayed there for 3 days but they only changed fried egg to scrambled egg or fries to wedge potatoes. Limited food options also.

I reached airport and realised that my phone went missing. I called the hotel reception and they found a phone left behind. I asked if they could help me arrange for an express shipping service to the airport and I will pay for it. However they said I had to arrange for the service myself. How could a foreigner know how to do it. So I asked them to keep for me and I will find a way to send it back to my country the week after. They took very long time trying to retrieve my information but still could not. I only checked out 4hrs before that and they already lost my data. Wow.
