Location was great, and easily accessible from the station. The room was spacious and well furnished. It's next to the main shopping streets but not inside the main shopping streets, which makes it ideal as it's not too noisy. Would stay here again if I come back to this area.

Hotel location is very good. However the room is a bit small for a twin beds room. Also, I think is this hotel is upgraded from an old building, the corridor outside the room is smelly. Other than that, room is clean and good.
Overall service also good especially the gentlemen who greeted me upon checked in on Dec 25 evening is very nice and pleasant.

Stayed for 8 nights. Very convenient location. Won't run out of food idea. The lady staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a young male staff who is not so friendly, quiet surrounding away from the main street, there is washer and dryer but only 1 each so you may have to wait, was in 3 single bedder: not ideal layout, no natural light as windows are small, flooring is not carpeted, bring your own bedroom slipper if staying longer as the quality given is poor, water bottles replenished daily, auto bidet in WC, not much storage so you would have to leave things in your luggage, there is water dispenser in lobby, weighing scale for luggage on #2, only 1 lift operating, daily housekeeping, there is a safe and mini fridge in room. Appreciate that they allow us to check in early. For the price paid, can't expect more. I didn't like that its not carpeted especially during cold season. Easy check out... one great point is they rent free for wall adapters, hair straighteners. So this was beyond my expectation.

Property is in a very convenient location for shopping and dining, close to Meongdong Cathedral and is in Central Seoul. Rooms are small especially if you have large suitcases. Has fridge but no drawers for clothes, only small open shelves.
Basic toiletries, friendly, helpful staff. Karaoke and music can be heard until midnight.

This hotel is a quick 3 minute walk from the subway, and close to the shopping area of Myeongdong. Also easy location if you are planning a city tour or DMZ tour. There are 2 great bars right across the street from this hotel, Furoa and Objktt. Would recommend staying here.

Creto Myeong Dong ticked all the boxes for me. Simple no fuss hotel. Right location, nice hotel and friendly staff. It was probably the holiday season and it felt like the were tad understaffed.

If they could improve on the room cleaning, it would really be PERFECT and all 5 stars for me.

Need to be super creative to store your luggages especially anything bigger than 24\" bags
They provide water dispenser near the reception too and the self laundrette machine cost 3000W per wash/ dry.

It’s only conveniently located.

We were there for 9 nights and slept on the same bedsheet and wore the same bathroom slipper. Both sheet and bathroom slippers were so dusty and filthy. We threw a torn pair into the bin but they still did not replace. Basin is stained, vanity kit & shower cap not replenished.

The hotel was nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although it can get a little noisy towards the night from the bars across the street playing music out loud. So the water piping would creak and make noise whenever another guest room would run their water so that was a little bit unpleasant. Aside from that, hotel Creto was very nice and extremely conveniently located near the subway station, restaurants and myeongdong shopping street.

The owners/reception was very helpful, they all speak very good english, a lot better than the other hotels we stayed (Gimpo, Busan Jeju). We asked for directions/advise every time we're not sure, they're always very accomodating. We love the fact that we can always order breakfast the night before and it's ready the next morning at our prefered time, hence we don't need to walk far to get our coffee. Very very happy with this hotel, especially the staff.
Highly recommended. We will stay there again if/when we go back to Korea.

Wonderful and helpful staff. There was a smell on the 8th floor during our entire stay. My son and I stayed on the 8th floor where my wife and 2 daughters stayed on the 9th floor. They had no smell on their floor. They all noticed a bad smell on the 8th floor and even said it smelled in my room. I guess my son and I got used to the smell. Other than the smell, everything else was great. Very convenient to Myeongdong station and the tourist area.

Value for money in the heart of Myeongdong

Great location, 2-3 mins walk to the airport bus stop and myeongdong station. Lobby and room felt quite new and clean. Staff were quite friendly.
Toilet had a bidet and heated seat, good for winter! Room is on the smaller side but functional. There is self service laundromat on the first floor which was easy to use.
Not so great is that the bed seem to have some plastic sheet underneath and soundproofing is not good.
Overall at this price point, it is a comfortable stay for holiday.

Pros: Good size room with all the necessary amenities, mattress was comfy so we slept very well, opposite of a good coffee place (Leesar Coffee) and 711 and best of all we got a good deal as we booked in advance.
Cons: Slightly further away from the main Myeongdong shopping street so quiet but can be a hassle to walk back to after a tiring day

Hotel looks impeccable from the outside. The white/black color scheme really made me interested in booking with this hotel! The room itself was also very nice. It had a big bed and the bathroom had a tub.

The only actual thing that irked me was the bathroom in the lobby. It is a handicap accessible bathroom, but the doors were kept open. The smell of the bathroom was overwhelming in the lobby while checking in. Please remind staff to keep those bathroom doors closed, for privacy and cleanliness.

The Creto Hotel is a very clean, compact hotel in the heart of Myung-dong. The hotel has a cozy coffee shop in the lobby that sells Americano coffee for KRW 2,000 (less than USD 2!). My experience at the Creto was elevated from \"excellent\" to \"exceptional\" due to the staff member who went well over and beyond his duties to make sure that our needs were met. I would like to recognize Mr. H.L. Kim for the level of customer service he provided. His kindness will bring us back to Creto Hotel next time we visit Seoul.

Group was very pleased with the hotel. Room was clean and nice with modern furnishings and reasonable (but not large) space. Amenities provided and bed was comfy. Good location just a few minutes walk from the main Myeongdong shopping street and Myeondgong station. The service was excellent - all the receptionist/concierge (including one Mr. Cho) were very polite, helpful and knowledgeable (ask them for food recommendations). My favourite part about this hotel is the hotel manager (I believe he’s the manager because he knows how to handle everything) he is the best front desk staff i have ever dealt with in Korea. His English is perfect and he went out of his way (even walked us outside to a restaurant when we asked him where to find gopchang) to cater to our EVERY need. I asked him if we could extend our stay for a few hours and he gladly adjusted our key cards.

The Airport bus station is close by for easy airport access. Myeong-dong Station is also very close where you will be heading into everyday to get to places.
Namsan Cable Car (To N Seoul Tower) is walking distance.
7-11 is only a few steps away.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. PLUS the myeongdong street market is only a block away where you can enjoy street food and shopping at night but this place is nicely tucked to the side where it’s not noisy at all. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!

I really don't understand why this place has such amazing reviews. Location is amazing, but the actual design of the hotel leaves much to be desired. There's very little security, with no passes required to access the room floors. Where I stayed on the third floor, the windows were not double glazed and you can hear every tiny little noise through the windows from people on the street, which, in myeongdong, doesn't really abate until 1-2am. The floors for the hallways and rooms are a polished concrete type material, which is great aesthetically, but did not help noise dampening at all. I had to sleep with a white noise machine and earphones plugged in for a week. Leading back to the third floor problem. The floor downstairs was the business/meeting room. I don't know what kind of meeting was happening but for the first two nights there was screaming going on most of the night. I guess reception was cool with that. I wouldn't stay there again unless necessary. If you are a very deep sleeper you'll love this place. If you're a light sleeper, bring something to block out the noise.

Choose this hotel based on Hotel.com review, which ends up very disappointed.
Besides location and staffs were polite, this hotel is not good for family to stay. Room small, very dusty, towels not clean, we stayed there for 5 nights, bed sheets had not been changed, if they have, then all of their bed sheets have stain on them!

Loved this hotel. Rooms are nice and comfy. Staff is hreat. Right smack in Myeongdong. Minute's walk from Myeongdong station exit 10 behind Sejong Hotel. Very close to KAL airport limousine bus stop. Restaurants just below but would recommend you walk further to the busier parts of Myeongdong where the food is better and cheaper.

It's a smaller hotel one street back from the main in Myeong-dong, and so a bit quieter. All the beauty shops are just up the street, with lots of street food! The train station exit is very close, too. The room was very comfortable and warm. The hotel staff were fantastic. When it was time for us to depart, they called a taxi that came very quickly. I would more than likely stay here again on my next visit to Seoul!

The hotel too small for family of 3 to stay. There was no extra space to move around in the room. Also just a small window on the side of the single bed. I think the room should be for 2 person instead of 3. The hotel should not just by adding one extra single bed to become for 3 person. The way the hotel charge the cost for 3 person was not acceptable. I would rather stay at Abnb which have more space n also lower cost.

The rooms were a bit small and tight but they are very clean. The hotel staff were very courteous, friendly and totally helpful. The hotel location is perfect... right by the main Myeongdong shopping/eating area but just off so that it is not noisy. It is also very close to the Namsan Hill cable car station and a stone throw from the Myeongdong Cathedral. If you are taking the bus from the airport, the bus stop at Myeongdong is just 3 blocks from the hotel.

5 days in Myeongdong.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect, in Myeongdong, near the main shopping/restaurants/night market area but far enough to have a comfortable sleep during the night. Subway station and airport limousine bus is less than 10 minutes walk. Unfortunately, aircon was undergoing maintenance but was up and running after 2 days. No worries.

Located around the corner from the Sejong Hotel (Myeongdong station, exit 10 - map on hotel website is accurate. There's a side alley directly after this, that will lead straight to the hotel and Nescafe shop), this was surprisingly a comfortable place to stay early April.

Rooms are small but as a solo traveler, I wasn't bothered by this at all. Staff were pleasant upon arrival and helped with any questions I had during my staff. The only funny issue I had was not knowing how to turn the lights on (key card has a slot on the wall when you walk in to activate all electricity in the room) Housekeeping was available every day, and everyone was close-by, yet still away from the bustle of the main Myeongdong shopping area to have a peaceful evening. There are free amenities, wifi, and water in the mini-fridge.

I had no real issues with the hotel itself, although the floors did look like there was dusk in the corners. So definitely wear something on your feet when in the room. Otherwise, it's a pleasant place to stay, and I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for something that's about a 5 minute walk to the main shopping area, and a quiet place to rest your head at night.

Convenient and clean.

We were given a room on 3rd floor. Stayed for 5 nights. 1 of the 5 nights was not pleasant because we could hear drunkards on the road, just right in front of the hotel entrance, which was directly under our room window. But overall, the area is quiet at night! (We were just unlucky for that one particular night!)

Our stay was good. The Queen size bed is big enough for my sister and her daughter. The bed is very comfortable as well. Also, their service was really good. On the check out date, the person at the check in counter helped us carry our luggage to the bus station. We were really thankful that they helped us. Excellent service!!!! I will definitely stay there again next time I go Seoul.

Rooms are quite squashy

The overall property is good as all amenities are new. And the older gentlemen at the front desk was very helpful with information. However the photographer who took the photos for the website deserves a award for making the room look MUCH bigger than it really is.

Superb location!!!

Stayed in room with 3 single beds. Quiet and spacious room with ample of space to put suitcases on floor. Perfect shower. Good hairdryer. Comfortable beds but feather pillows are not for me... one is too flat/ soft, two is too high. Plenty of tv channels eps Korean dramas!! Just a road away from airport limo bus stop no. 6015. Super convenient! Will definitely stay here again!

Rooms for improvement

The front desk staffs speak fair English and the Daytime staffs are more supportive. The floor underneath the bed is dusty. They have their standard of providing service e.g. if your room is a queen bed, they will not entertain your request for 2 smaller quit rather than 1 big quit UNLESS with a charge.
