Really enjoyed staying in this hotel, excellent staff, very friendly and helpful too.
The breakfast was delicious.
The rooms very modern, comfortable and spacious.
No fridge inside the room.
The bathroom was great and really nice shower, specially after a long day of walking around town.
The location is a little far from the center but if you like to walk and enjoy walking and the joying the views, then is the perfect place to stay in Sorrento!
I’ll recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

The hotel was great, a little far from the town center but easy 20 min walk. Our only complaint is you can hear everything outside of your room. The cleaning staff would start early being loud so if you want to sleep in & are a light sleeper it may bother you. Besides that we had a wonderful stay & highly recommend!

All the staff were nice. Our room was regularly mopped as the floor is not carpeted which we appreciate. Our feet don't get dirty when barefooted in the room.
Breakfast is included. You have to request for your coffee all the time. There is no coffee machine to make yourself when you need it. The hotel has all day dining. No other restaurants around the hotel.
The only issue is you have to walk to the center for about 20 minutes to get to the Piazza for dining/shopping. I wish the hotel had a shuttle to/from Piazza Tasso/Corso Italia.

This is a very modern hotel within 20 minutes walking distance of the centre of Sorrento. The staff were delightful and could not be more helpful. It was very clean and the bedrooms were comfortable. Amenities were good, in that you could get food or drink from early morning until 10.00pm at night. I have only one criticism, and it is personal, in that it is so modern it lacks comfort in the main areas, no comfortable settees just hard seats and tables a bit bland. That said I couldn’t fault it in any other way

Rooms were fairly clean and very eco friendly. Not bad in terms of size. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. Be prepared for back problems. Also I was charged a cancellation fee after having two reservations since I noticed the price went down before my stay. Despite the fact that I canceled my first reservation when I made my new reservation and provided the hotel with my cancellation email, they still charged me one nights stay as a cancellation fee. I basically paid to stay one night in the same room twice. There was a lot of back and forth between front desk and back office. Never a manager to speak with. Overall this was a big inconvenience. Would not stay again.

Our stay was extremely pleasant at So’ Lifestyle. Greeted with very pleasant service and smiles on arrival as well as throughout our stay. Breakfast options were great for what we needed and available during our early and late morning starts throughout the holiday. The pool was closed for a couple of days for maintenance however we were promptly taken care of by allowing us to use the sister hotel pool and facilities at no extra cost or inconvenience. Location is about a 15 minute walk from the centre of sorrento however there are lots of good restaurants within a 5 min walking distance of the hotel - shoutout to Il Ruttino, we went there 3 times during our visit as the food and service was amazing!! This was recommended by the hotel again so massive thank you.

This hotel is located in a quiet area, but it’s quite far from the city. If you don’t mind walking about 20 minutes each way to reach the city center, it could work for you. However, if you want to save time and be closer to shops, restaurants, ferries, and boat departures, I would recommend staying somewhere nearer to the center.

We stayed here for three nights but eventually decided to transfer to a hotel closer to the city center. Although it cost us more, we were much happier with the location. The pool at this hotel is also quite small.

Rooms are really well appointed, spotlessly clean and the high technology spec all works well. The pool area is excellent too with plenty of beds and shade available. The pool staff are very good indeed. The staff in the hotel are also good, there are clearly a few newer staff in the restaurant that are still learning, and the more senior staff on reception etc are excellent, especially Antonia who was so helpful with her recommendations etc. We found the restaurant and bar area to be soulless however, with no atmosphere. Although it was super clean and had a good choice of items on the menu and at breakfast, it just felt like somewhere you didn’t want to stay for too long. I think the hotel could do much more here eg encourage customers to have drinks before going out for dinner,and maybe a nightcap before bed. It just didn’t feel like a bar, or a restaurant, it was more like a clinical space than a social space. I hope this helps as it is a great hotel overall.

Pleasant stay in a modern hotel

Stay was pleasant, great pool surroundings and staff were friendly and helpful (especially with bus to airport recommendation). Breakfast was good, especially providing gluten free options.
The hotel has made a conscious attempt to be modern which we enjoyed but there were some faults such as the electronic blinds being temperamental, rooms were not very soundproofed and we were woken up by others moving around in their rooms, closing doors and scraping chairs across the floor. Unfortunately the hotel did not accommodate our request to use facilities to freshen up on our last day as we were not flying home until late - they suggested we use the open shower by the pool. We would have paid a fee to use a room for an hour if this had been an option, but we were informed we’d have to pay a full nights rate if we wanted to do this.

Great place to stay

They were very friendly and accommodating! We drove there, and the hotel parking was easy, and they let us leave the car there after we checked out for the day to explore the rest of the coast. It was the perfect distance from the center of town, and we loved our stay. The only thing that could have made it better was longer pool hours! Definitely a memorable experience and trip.

Great New Hotel

Really nice and new hotel. We had a fantastic welcome during our later check-in and given a tonne of information by the person at the check-in desk. Even some late night food recommendations (La Ruttino down the road).

The hotel is clearly new, and we did find that there was some construction noises around us on some of the mornings, but not until 10/11am, so not great if we needed a lie in.

The pool was great, and bar by the pool / food was great. Considering all the modern tech in the hotel, it would’ve been a fun addition if you could order from your phone straight to the sun lounger (considering the menu was already online via QR codes on tables beside sunloungers). Breakfast was a little limited, but expected continental options. Having a water fountain on each floor for hot and cold water was a game changer, would love to see this more in hotels overall.

The walk into Sorrento was manageable, but it was disappointing that there wasn’t a shuttle bus service for the hotel considering that nearby hotels have the same service.

I can’t fault this hotel or its staff. Having read previous reviews that stated about issues with the lighting systems in rooms I was slightly worried. However, we had no such issues and found our room to be extremely comfortable and the lighting easy to navigate.

I would like to thank the staff for their attentiveness after my daughter injured her knee in the hotel lobby. They showed concern and gave her ice to help with the swelling. In the following days they checked on her well being. This was very much appreciated.

Woke up at 4am to loud door knocking (no idea if this was wake up calls), 5am to trash being emptied, and 6-9am was consistent door slamming and yelling from the cleaning staff and a manager of all people. Couldnt check in until 3:30pm somehow, considering the rooms were being cleaned so early. Overall it was a clean, renovated hotel with a nice pool and good poolside service. Didn’t get any sleep however, which we expect when paying for a hotel.

Possibly slightly too far out of the centre of Sorrento for us (about a 20 min walk)

Some of the technology in the rooms is too complicated for its own good (bathroom light wouldn’t turn on in middle of night).

Pool is not heated so was freezing cold (it was May).

There’s no fridge in the rooms.

This was an ultra modern room, that was pretty quiet, except if you leave windows open in the morning when workmen and birds got going in early AM on back of property.

It wasn't very crowded in April, and since it was a good walk to other dining options, we generally ate in the hotel.

They had a great breakfast buffet (included) and many other meals we ate there, we frequently had the restaurant to ourselves, but there was a good variety of excellent options, including multiple vegetarian offerings and excellent service 👍

Pros:The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and it was a convenient walk into Sorrento.
Cons:Whoever rated this as 4 star was having a laugh, it was 3 star at best. From the moment you walk into the reception the only thing you can think is clinical. It was all white and just had really uncomfortable benches at the reception. No comfortable chairs, no soft furnishings. It wasn't welcoming at all. This theme carried on throughout the whole hotel. There were no amenities. There was still building work in the basement. The rooms were the same, clinical. The lighting was all by a weird panel with no actual switches. There was no instructions on how to use it and to get the air conditioning working, we had to get staff on reception to activate a switch from there.One day the wifi went down and the whole floor were locked out of their rooms. We sat on the floor in the corridor until someone came up with a key to let us in. There was hardly any storage or shelving, nothing at all in the bathroom. The bedside shelves were a joke. No room to put anything on there. Don't even get me started on the pathetic cupboard with the glasses and mugs. Utterly pointless when there was no kettle or fridge in the room. The 'light' under the bedside shelf was so dim it was completely pointless. It kept clicking on and off and was useless and infuriating. The breakfast was poor. The hot food was luke warm and the selection was limited and repeated every day.

Just had the best 5 nights at So Lifestyle , from the start the staff were all so friendly and helpful. I stayed in the classic room which was perfect , great size, large comfy bed and great bathroom. I loved that there was a strong WiFi connect all the time and I was able to connect my streaming services to the room TV.
It was a little further of a walk to the centre than I was expecting but I couldn’t be happier because I felt that the walk was really scenic and a nice way to get around Sorrento. The breakfast every morning had a great variety of options from hot food to pastries and fruit.

Fantastic stay at So Lifestyle Hotel

Fantastic hotel with parking at €15 a night. About 20 minutes walk to the square of Sorrento. Service was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The camera plus room was spacious and modern, great rainfall shower, we were very impressed that the TV had YouTube and Netflix. Safe was included without any extra charge.


If there’s something that could have been better, a small table on the balcony, slippers and gowns would be great additions to make the hotel experience 100%.
