This enchanting establishment is set in the restored colonial Ruocco family home in Sorrento, at just a few minutes' walk from the city centre, where travellers can find an array of shops, restaurants, bars and other entertainment venues. Guests can travel by car, train or ferry to the many famous sights in the nearby area such as Pompeii, Naples or the beautiful Amalfi Coast.

Our stay in Sorrento was truly unforgettable — this accommodation is an absolute hidden gem.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such genuine warmth and friendliness that we instantly felt at home. The property feels like a true, traditional Italian retreat — peaceful and quiet, surrounded by beautiful lemon and orange trees that create the most magical setting. Waking up each morning in such tranquil surroundings was simply wonderful.

The rooms were spotless, beautifully presented, and incredibly inviting. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, making it both comfortable and charming.

Breakfast was a real highlight, delicious and plentiful, with eggs, yogurts, fresh breads, pastries, cereals, freshly cut cheese and ham, and the most incredible home-grown, freshly squeezed orange juice I have ever tasted. It was the perfect way to start the day.

We also really appreciated being able to store our luggage after check-out so we could continue exploring Sorrento before catching our ferry back to Naples later that afternoon. That extra kindness made our final day completely stress-free.

We cannot recommend this beautiful property highly enough and already can’t wait to return. Thank you for such a special stay! Claire, Marcus Niki and Holly

Sorento Stay

This hotel was excellent. The rooms are modern and spacious. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Great pool. The breakfast that was included was a perfect way to start our day. The location of the hotel is close to the train station with easy access to Pompeii etc. It truly is a unique and lovely property. We would definitely come back here and I would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in Sorento.

We felt like we were constantly being watched by the owner.
Ordered a burger at their pool bar, it was undercooked, I mentioned it to the lady, she took my original undercooked burger, refried it, and gave it back to me.
Not impressed.
Our shower light was not working, we mentioned it to the owner, but nothing was done about it.
It is definitely not a resort!!!!

Amazing stay with breakfast a pool and parking!

Amazing family run little property. Affordable for the area. A short walk into main sorrento around 20 mins via a main road. The pool and breakfast are a great addition to the stay and are just what you need in between exploring sorrento. All staff really helpful and the free parking is a bonus especially with how expensive this can be elsewhere.

This is a rustic and charming hotel set behind secure gates off the main and busy road through Sorrento. It’s set in beautiful wild gardens and a citrus orchard with a lovely pool area, private parking and view over the bay of Naples and Vesuvius. Despite its central location, close to the main road and rail stations, it it very quiet, an oasis of calm. Our en-suite room was beautiful and comfortable (although the shower cubicle was a bit small) and the simple breakfast more than satisfying. The owners, who also serve breakfast manage the reception, are lovely and welcoming. We will definitely go again if staying in Sorrento.

We were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us where to park. Then she showed us our room. It’s a cute little place. We walked down to Sorrento which was only a short distance. And WOW!! What a place this is. Lots of restaurants and the food is INCREDIBLE!! Everyone seems happy and friendly and it feels very safe. The views from our balcony are also worth mentioning. Simply stunning. A nice and quiet family run property with swimming pool and breakfast area built among lemon trees and rose garden. Distance is about 1.1 km from the train station along busy road. The city's side walks are ridiculously narrow and paved with cobble stones so it can be a struggle if you want to walk to the property with large luggage.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The staff were friendly and the rooms were comfortable and overall clean except for some mold in the bathroom. Breakfast was good with fresh pastries etc. we didn’t spend much time in the room or the hotel as we were in Sorrento for only two days and mainly did tours from early morning to the evening. We found a cute restaurant not too far from the hotel with good food and very reasonably priced.

So glad we found this place its an absolute gem for a stay in Sorrento. Great value and the owners are so welcoming. We stayed for a week in room with side balcony which gave fantastic views across bay of Naples to Vesuvius. First impressions feel like it’s a bit rough around the edges but done be fooled. Rooms are clean comfy and have everything you need. Pool area is fantastic and a great extra for a B&B, we spent a couple of lazy days by the pool before going out, great beds, sun all day, bar, nice snacks and towels all provided. Location is ideal, although on the main road (Corsa Italia) it’s peaceful and quiet, especially by the pool, you do get used the cockerel crowing 👍. Main road gives you straight walk into Sorrento around 10-15 minutes, also 10 min walk to nearest Marina, explore the local area, there are some fantastic restaurants, Ruttino, Capanno, rooftop bar on hotel Mediterraneo is great, bit pricy but worth the views. In simple terms when we return to Sorrento we will book here. Can’t recommend it enough. A GEM.

This lovely B&B is all you need for your stay in Sorrento.
It's family run and the staff are always really helpful and welcoming. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the beds, which are made each day, are so comfortable .The pool area is clean and there are plenty of sunbeds with use of towels available. Hidden from the road you feel like you are in the countryside. There is also a poolside bar where you can grab a drink or spot of lunch which is freshly made.
The walk to town is about 15 minutes but there are many shops and lovley places to eat along the way. We absolutely loved our stay at Il Roseto and would highly recommend it to anyone.

This was the most incredible stay in Sorrento. Set back from a main road into Sorrento it is so quiet and tranquil at Il Roseto, with the most beautiful view of Vesuvius from the pool. Pool is easily the cleanest one I’ve seen on holiday and the loungers were very comfortable. Room was very nice and surprisingly comfortable bed. Breakfast was really nice and we had lunch by the pool which was so yummy. The owners were really friendly and remembered our room and orders, it’s the little things! It’s a 10-15 minute walk into Sorrento town and actually in the opposite direction we walked 10 minutes to the most incredible beach where there were barely any tourists and you could swim in the see. We will definitely be back!

An absolute joy!

We had an AMAZING experience staying here! The room was lovely. We asked for wine at 10pm, our friend at the front desk was at our room in two minutes with wine. It was raining and he offered us umbrellas to walk to the breakfast, which was in the garden! Free breakfast was delightful, meat and cheese, croissants, coffee, and FRESH orange juice. To top everything off, we left a window cracked in our car during a storm, he gave us a linen to put in the car to dry off. We felt welcomed and cared for, we will stay here again! Oh and strong wifi! Check reviews on Google, there are way more reviews, I'm glad I cross checked over there.

Our stay at Il Roseto was a little slice of Paradise! The staff was so kind and helpful. Our room and premises were kept neat and clean. Maria put together delicious and filling breakfasts, and one of the best insalata mistas in Sorrento! We had a great view of Vesuvius over the Bay of Naples from our balcony. The location made an ideal launching point for explorations of Pompeii, Capri and the Amalfi Coast.

A good little find

Good B&B on the edge of Sorrento so great for those that enjoy a walk into the main town. It is between Sorrento and Sant’ Agnello which is also worth a visit. Our room overlooked the garden and was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good with a good selection to chose from. The option of freshly squeezed orange juice was a lovely surprise. The pool and snack bar was well maintained. My only criticism would be there was no 4G signal and the WiFi was unsecure - a minor irritation though. It seemed to be used a fair bit by the English who can have a tendency to be loud at night but that’s no fault of the B&B owners. Would recommend.

Breakfast in the lemon grove was fantastic. We were in the vesuvio room which had been recently decorated and had a great view over the bay of naples. The pool area was very nice and for us the free secure parking was perfect.

Lovely room in a renovated villa. Great pool. Good wifi. Breakfast in a lemon grove was really excellent with freshly squeezed orange juice and the best coffee I’ve had in Italy. No street noise at all. Very close to the train station and a food supermarket. Easy walk to the centre and the port. The bar next door made a bit of music noise at night but otherwise this was a perfect stay. A real oasis in busy Sorrento.
