A Home Away From Home – With a View to Remember.
From the moment we arrived, we felt less like a guest and more like family. The warmth and genuine hospitality of the entire team made our stay truly unforgettable. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for in every possible way.
A special mention has to go to Mario, an absolute gem. He was not only incredibly kind and attentive, but also a wealth of information. Whether it was offering insider tips, or even arranging bus tickets, Mario handled everything with ease and genuine care. It made our stay completely stress-free.
And let’s talk about the food, every single meal was a delight. Delicious, fresh, and clearly made with love. From hearty breakfasts to beautifully prepared dinners, it felt like eating at a friend’s table who just happens to be an amazing chef.
The patio view was nothing short of breathtaking. Sitting out there soaking in the scenery, it’s the kind of peace and beauty you don’t easily forget.
The rooms were spotless and every detail, from the décor to the service, was clearly designed with care and intention.

If you're looking for more than just a place to stay, if you want warmth, soul, great food, and truly personal service, this is it. We left with a full heart, a happy stomach, and memories we will treasure forever. Already dreaming of coming back.

We were 10 people and had 4 rooms. The rooms were very clean. The staff was wonderful. Mario at the front desk made our bus travel extremely easy for us. Vincenzo was a waiter who was wonderful and the owner was a great chef! The food was fantastic. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. We felt like family the 3 nights we were there.

Probably one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had.
The rooms were clean and full of character, and the rooftop restaurant served fresh, delicious food with incredible views.
The lemon groves gave the whole place a special charm. Even though the Amalfi Coast felt crowded and pricey, this hotel was a peaceful sanctuary with friendly staff, homely meals, and a calm, genuine atmosphere.

The overwhelming positive reviews are not exaggerating. This hotel was the best attraction on the Amalfi Coast for me.

We loved our hotel and private balcony that my wife and I had. The breakfast food was delicious and seeing the ocean while drinking coffee and eating was the perfect way to start the day. The staff was also very helpful with information on how to get around the area and fun things to do! We loved our stay here.

Great, quaint hotel, 20 min walk to Amalfi town center, bus stop right in front of it. Extremely helpful staff. Beautiful, spacious rooms. Great restaurant on site. Had dinner there 3 times out of 5 days that we stayed, so so so good.

It was a great base for exploring the coast. The staff are very friendly, plenty of dinner options if you don't get your fill of pasta or seafood during the day. Filling breakfast to get you going too. The walk to the port in Amalfi is mostly downhill, the bus back up stops right in front of the hotel.

My best friend and I stayed here for 6 days, and didn’t want to leave. It’s up above the Mediterranean with a beautiful view! The bus comes by about every 30 minutes and can take you into the main part of town within 10 minutes, or to other places along the Amalfi coast for a very small price. Breakfast is free with a variety of choices. Nightly dining is available on the rooftop terrace and the food is excellent. Private balconies, breathtaking views, and one can stroll through the lemon groves on the property. Excellent service, professional and friendly staff, very nice rooms with refrigerators and air conditioning. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is quiet, Just a beautifully maintained historical property. I give it 5 stars. We’ll be back.

This was by far the best place we stayed at in Europe. Hospitality second to none. Friendly accomadting staff from reception to dining. Rooms are gorgeous, we had a beautiful view. The dining was delicious. We did the lemon experience cooking tour whuch was wonderful. Convenient bustop right outside to go to Amafi town or opposite way to Sorento/ Positano.
The walk to the town is close and easy too. We absolutely loved our stay. Cant recommend it enough!

The condition of the hotel is excellent; it is clean, modern and well maintained. Staff, including Salvatore at the desk and Antonio in bar and dining room are professional, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and dinner we had one night was also very good. There is a bus stop right at the front door of the hotel which is good. The only downside to the location is that there is not that much close to the hotel to provide other dining or shopping options. Many patrons of the hotel do walk to other venues but the road on which the hotel is located (the main road) is somewhat dangerous for pedestrians IMO. One caution: taxis are expensive in and around Amalfi and the drivers will take advantage of any tourist or situation they come upon; ask the price before you get in the cab and don’t waiver or show weakness; you will be victimized.

We stayed for 5 nights and made this hotel our basecamp to see other places around Amalfi. The hotel seems to have been updated recently and we felt very comfortable. The room was nice, clean and has soundproof windows so it was very peaceful. The breakfast was fantastic, the staff was always helpful and friendly, the roof top terrace is amazing, the lemon grove is beautiful, but be ready to climb lots of stairs. We loved our stay in this hotel and we would book it again any time. The only suggestion I have for the kitchen is to add a simple pasta dish to the evening menu to cater to children, who prefer just pasta with butter or a no-meat pasta sauce.

I was impressed by the other reviews that said that the owners and staff here treat you like family,and that is exactly what we experienced here!! My daughter was wanting to do a cooking class and she was able to do that here! They have a wonderful breakfast and unlike some other hotels they have a roof top restaurant open for dinner as well.If my daughter was tired and wanted to get some rest I could go upstairs by myself in the evening without feeling uncomfortable as the staff was so welcoming! The walk to amalphi is about 20-25 minutes long with some hills however another perk of this hotel is that there is a bus stop right outside the front door!!And you can buy tickects right at the hotel!! AND when you are done your stay if you have tickets you did not use , They will REIMBURSE YOU!!! Also if you are in good shape to travel down a lot of stairs and back up again , there is a beautiful beach and excellant swimming! The hotel is a FAMILY run business. They do all the cooking and they work so hard for their customers every day! They DO treat you like FAMILY and you cannot put a price on that!! The rooms are not new BUT they are comfortable !! And coming from a flight attendant, I will tell you ..they are clean!!! I now a a picture of LA PERGULA with all its lemons...hanging in my kitchen!! The beach is close however, the climb up and down is not for everyone.

As other reviews say, this hotel is just so charming and mostly that is because of the upstairs staff. From housekeeping ladies to restaurant staff, the vibe is genuinely so friendly and attentive. We had a room with balcony facing sea which was a lovely retreat to return to because Amalfi in June, 91F and super-crowded isn't necessarily a pleasant experience. The hotel is out of the Amalfi town and you walk along an incline and then down into Amalfi to get anywhere. It was about 30 minutes. There is a bus stop outside the hotel but buses wouldn't stop because they were full by the time they got to it. This would be a problem no matter where you stay on the coast in summer I would think. Buses were full out of Amalfi. Ferries were full. Tempers were short and taxi fares were around 55euro from Amalfi town to hotel. If the roads get blocked by so many cars that time of year, then buses cannot get through. However, to temper this, there is a beautiful deck and restaurant with a magic view where you can relax. The food is sensational and again, the staff will spoil you. Breakfast was plentiful and so good!

Really enjoyed the staff, we loved the way they treated us like family. The grounds, a lot of lemon trees, are beautiful. It can be a little challenging to get down into town but the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. It looks scary, and it can be, but walking to and from the hotel to the town is quite doable for those accustomed to walking. All in all, a great place.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing lemon grove. Try their lemon happy hour or dining experience. Great staff ready to help with any service required. Also, very honest staff as I mistakenly, like a fool, left our safe open twice with cash, passports and belongings and not one euro or dollar was missing. Beautiful hotel with great restaurant, lemon grove, terrace bar and rooms. Overall would recommend. Amalfi on the other hand has transportation issues due to amount of traffic, you need to be flexible and willing to sit in long traffic lines to go only short distances or walk as an option. Some restaurants do provide shuttle service so ask, as taxi fares can be expensive. Would come back again to this hotel.

Amazing place just outside of Amalfi. It's a small business tightly run, you feel like you belong to a family when you are there. The staff is very friendly and so helpful. They have their own gardens with the lemon trees, the olive, the oranges and many other fruits. The breakfast was one of my favorite aspect of the hotel. There are a lot of options! There is a bus stop at the hotel so it's very easy to go to Amalfi or towards Sorrento. The dinners are also very good with a lot of different seafood options and the staff will guide you through the menu. They also have a wonderful patio with a superb view where you can relax after a big day of visiting or hiking. Also, we liked the fact that it was a bit remote from the main Amalfi area, we enjoyed how quiet it was at night.

Ant and bug infested made it impossible to enjoy the patio. Hundreds of bugs came when we turned on the light on the patio and there were thousands of ants. The room under the restaurant was noisy which didn’t allow for proper rest. The shower is extremely small, it will be a task for a big purse to shower. The shower head wouldn’t stay up - hotel need some improvement

All the staff and the owner were very accomodating and helpful, especially Mario who helped us arrange our trips to nearby cities. Accomodations were clean and comfortable with a feel like home. Although it is not walking distance to the center and port it is a short ride by bus or taxi. However buses don't always run on time and taxis are a bit expensive. If you arrive by car there is some parking available and the staff helps with that. On the whole it was a very pleasing stay.

Loved this property. The owner is also the chef and maintains the Lemon Orchard and other gardens on the property. The breakfasts and dinners reflect what is in season and it’s all amazing. The views for the Terrance and our room were spectacular. There is a bus stop literally in front of the front door that can take you wherever you want to go - Amalfi town and ports, or Sorrento or Positano. You can get bus tickets at the front desk. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is beyond any continental breakfast you could image - desserts, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella and the lemon shrimp risotto for dinner are so delicious I wanted to take some home with me! Would highly recommend the Lemon Experience and dinner offered at the hotel. The is also a convenient store with a restaurant on top right up the hill you can go for snacks and another dinning option. Rooms and bathrooms are good size too.

Definitely no soundproofing!

We had some really bad luck with the weather on our trip so this may have impacted on our experiences but we have to say that the advertising is not accurate and you definitely need to take ear plugs.
We have had issues in the past with noise disturbances, but mainly from the corridor or the above room moving chairs, so we were looking forward to some restful nights in the \"soundproofed rooms\". This was impossible.
The walls were so thin we could hear word for word what our neighbours were saying. We could even hear the person on the end of the phone word for word! I could still hear banging with earplugs in! We had at least 2 couples next door so it's not a case of just noisy people.
We had the normal scraaaapppping of the furniture, but this was made worse by the staff moving them for around an hour at 8am on a Sunday morning. Just not what we had hoped our holiday would be.
We had some more bad luck with the road right outside being resurfaced. Probably not going to be an issue for future travellers, not any time soon anyway, but just another night we couldn't sleep from the noise.
We also had a powercut 1 night for 3 hours so the emergency light was bright, then when we finally got to sleep were startled awake with the phone making a really loud noise!
With that being said the beds and pillows were relatively comfortable and the room relatively clean. Also the staff were all so lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was adequate and would be fine for a few days.

This stay was incredible!! I will definitely come back, we could walk to amalfi (although it was a beautiful walk, it did get to be a lot each day) the walk was around 30-35 mins. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The terrace was beautiful and they have their own private garden. The hotel is accommodating even with bad weather. We have only good things to say! Also, the food at the hotel was the BEST food we had during our entire stay. We HIGHLY recommend!

We had been travelling Italy for 2 weeks and decided to end our vacation at La Pergola on the Amalfi Coast. This ended up to be our favourite hotel of our three week vacation. The property is very clean and well maintained, the staff is excellent and so happy to help with any requests you might have. If you have the opportunity to take part in the cooking class it is a must. Danielle and Mama Rita were fantastic and so accommodating as well as loads of fun, this was a highlight of our vacation. Super people work here like Andrea and Roberto as well Salvatora (spelling?). Just go and enjoy this gem on the Amalfi Coast.

Very nice, beautiful view from patio bar and rooms. Very nice and friendly staff. It’s a great to stay, but keep in mind it’s away from town. Buses around the area are easy enough, but they always seemed to be crowded(even late April).

You have to try their Lemon Spritz! They were amazing!
Location great - walking distance to Amalfi town with fabulous views. Breakfast was generous and delicious and homemade cakes were provided too.

Open terrace on the 4th floor was great with it's own bar too. Great views.

The only thing I would say is take ear plugs with you. The hotel is right on the doorstep of a busy road and we had a drain hole cover which was being run over by traffic which made \"thud-thud\" noises when cars ran over it. Not the hotel's fault but if you're a light sleeper like I am, you'll appreciate this little nugget.

Bed and pillows were firm (just how we like them), everything in our room was functional, we had a giant terrace/balcony which was great for catching rays!

Staff were very friendly and helpful too!

Wonderful friendly staff, bus stop right outside the hotel that allowed easy transportation in either direction on the Amalfi coast. Wonderful cooking lessons available with Mama Rita and her son Chef Daniello. Great home base for exploring Amalfi coast and Capri.

The rooms here were very quiet from other guests however the Hotel is set on a very busy road. It is exceptionally clean with wonderful staff and excellent food in the dining room. The included breakfast is a great value with cappuccino and Mamma’s delicious desserts and torts. The beds and pillows were quite firm, but perhaps that’s how they are in Italy. We asked for extra pillows. It is within walking distance to Amalfi Center. We would stay here again.

We were very pleased with the staff and the service. Hotel also had a very good restaurant with home made dishes. It is about 30 min walk to the beach or to the Amalfi center but one can also take a bus and make it a 5 min ride down the hill. There is a bus stop right outside of the hotel door. We had a very good time. Thank you to La Pergola staff for making it easy.
