My experience was just wonderful! Geri and Steve were so welcoming and extremely helpful. Everything was clean and well maintained. Geri walked with us to a lovely restaurant nearby for dinner. In the morning she fixed a delicious breakfast and did it very early so we could make our flight.

I asked a glutton of questions and Geri gave me insight into local culture, transport, money, places to see and avoid, and many other tips that make it look like I had been living there for years.

There were cobwebs all over, the bed was hard and uncomfortable. Hair was under the bed like someone in the room and it never got cleaned. We were served with dirty forks, rusty spoons. Do better.

The people who run this little B&B are so sweet that I hate to say anything negative. And normally, for small things, I would let it go. But this place needs some serious work. Shabby old towels, shabby and threadbare stained sheets, dirty corners everywhere. If someone would just clean it properly, it would improve the experience exponentially.
But there were good things about it too-- the lovely proprietress, the homemade breakfast (and tea from a cup that was horribly stained on the inside though 😩), the natural breezes and location.

Quick layover on way to Bequia
I was flying from London to Bequia but my transatlantic flight to Barbados was re scheduled meaning I would miss my connection. I had to stay the night in Barbados and needed just a room for 1 near the airport. Found Gemini B&B for a reasonable rate and booked for 1 night. Was welcomed on arrival by Geri after have received excellent instructions regarding getting a taxi from the airport. I was shown to the room which had a big firm bed, tv, ceiling fan and air conditioning. The bathroom and toilet was next door which I had sole use of. Geri booked me a cab for the morning back to the airport and made me breakfast of an omelette, toast, juice, fruit and coffee. The room provided me with everything that I needed at a very reasonable price. My only suggestion would be to de-scale or replace the shower head as it was a bit clogged up.
Overall, an excellent stay and recommended. Many thanks to Geri and Steve.

Easy taxi ride from airport and hosts sent good instructions. Great home cooked breakfast on patio with sound of the ocean. Enjoyed chatting with Geri. Bed comfortable and room had both air conditioning and overhead fan. Bathroom had what was needed, a little worn but not a problem. As a solo female Traveller felt very safe and nice to be staying somewhere away from the tourist resorts. Perfect for what I wanted.

This well kept property is in an ideal location near the beach and the airport, in a quiet neighborhood with a local spot for food close by. The property is charming and the proprietor Gerri was the soothing balm needed after days of travel. She is a warm, welcoming host and talented cook. You feel you are home and valued. Cold water is in the fridge, there is plenty of storage space, the space is comfortable and super quiet! She also kept a friendly, caring eye out for us as we had to be up for an early morning flight and insisted we still get breakfast despite it being pitch black out still. Wish the stay could have been longer in this comfortable spot with a host who goes above and beyond.

We loved the location being within walking distance of the beach. Also walked to a convenience store and felt perfectly safe in the neighborhood. The hosts were the best part very friendly and stood up for us after a taxi driver tried to overcharge us on a ride to the cruise port. At the time of our stay in Jan 2023 the price was $35USD and while $10 doesn't make or break a person we greatly appreciated our hosts and how they treat their guests. Breakfast was delicious and we had no complaints whatsoever. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Hands down the best experience of my month in Barbados. Geri and Steve are amazing people who went way above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and at home. The breakfast was incredible. including home made breads, chutney's, spreads, omelettes, fish cakes and on and on. I extended my stay by 4 days. Thanks so much for everything Steve and Geri!

I was happy to find this gem of a place to stay in Barbados. The lady who runs the place is very sweet and accommodating. She made sure I was woken up at 4 am to catch my flight at 6:30 am. She made me a home-cooked breakfast including freshly baked bread and marmalade. No taxi showed up so she took me herself and told me some very interesting things about her past and her journey to the Gemini House. I'd love to go back just to continue our conversation.

Gemini House was the perfect respite for our travel needs. Geri was the perfect host. Our plane was delayed so we didn't arrive at Gemini until midnight. Geri was there to great us at the gate and showed us everything we needed to know before going to sleep. In the morning she cooked us a wonderful breakfast and left us to read and enjoy our morning before we left to continue on our travels.

I stayed a week at the room with the ocean view, Geri truly goes above and beyond for her guests, putting a lot of creativity and thought into the breakfast and always being at hand to ask questions. The house is wonderfully designed and the bedroom A/C is very good so you never feel too hot at night. A few minutes walk to the ZR bus route 11 which runs every few minutes to take you to Bridgetown. The area itself is quiet and residential, which I like, but means there are not a ton of restaurants or cafes nearby. Nevertheless, if you eat the filling breakfast and make your way into town during the day, you'll have a happy stay. There are two beaches in walking distance - they are public beaches but very secluded which I like. The waves are a bit strong for swimming but fine for a wade and certainly to watch the kite surfers and other watersports enthusiasts.
