Good location with adequate parking in hotel grounds. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Big supermarket within easy walking distance and other convenience stores/shops even closer. Bars, restaurants and other eateries all close by. Easy access to public transport due to being virtually on main road but not close enough to hear traffic noise. Easy access to public beach.
There was insufficient sunbeds for the amount of umbrellas available. This meant that sunbeds were reserved very early (0600). Beds without umbrellas were usually available at anytime but in general there should be more sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool.

The dining room was being refurbished while we were there but that meant more time at Worthing Square (loads of food trucks) or a short walk to St Lawrence Gap. Would recommend.

No Internet at outside bar and pool tough when you’re trying to do some work you have to go up to your room I asked about it and was told you have to go inside the building even inside the building there were areas where there was no Internet I know there was before because I’ve stayed there multiple times before TV stations are terrible ABC NBC CBS and several other channels are blacked out asked about that just got will see you about it. out of the ten or so channelsi left 4 of them were cartoon channels Which there are absolutely no children staying at this hotel The bar and pool close at around 6 PM all other hotels in the area close 9 pm - 10 pm. Also, because of no Internet, they can’t play any music at the bar or pool area quite boring. Looks like I will be staying at another hotel there next year. Found several hotels that have entertainment and pool open till later in the night stayed there for 10 nights had to go to other hotels at night for entertainment drinks or dinner.

Staff were incredible. Nikita and Jerry were so welcoming and lovely to talk to. Rooms were spotless. Location was fantastic. Kitchen had every pot and pan we needed. We r going back. Only complaint was there wasn’t any shampoo or dish soap. I’ll know now for next time. Loved Barbados.

Just got back after 10 days in beautiful Barbados. We luckily picked the Coral Sands Beach Resort in Worthing for our stay and couldn’t have been happier. Ocean front rooms - a nice pool - small but lovely beach with restaurants within walking distance as well as grocery stores. This hotel is about 25 years old and needs a bit of loving care, but we didn’t care. Depends what you need. If you Need Luxurious .. don’t stay here. But we thought it was luxurious to be in a room facing the sea, with a balcony, kitchen, lovely bathroom, nice beds. All the accoutrements that one really needs. The staff were tremendous. HOUSEKEEPING was amazing! A Very clean and welcoming place.
But like everywhere in this greedy old world, we know that the staff work hard but are very underpaid. What a surprise. So if you stay here - or anywhere- try and remember to leave a nice cash tip for those who work so hard so you can have a nice vacation.

We enjoyed our stay at coral sands. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were quite large with many dressers/closets to put away all of our clothes and hide the suit cases. The view from the balcony was amazing and we got multiple beautiful pictures of the sunset. The pool was a nice addition to swimming in the ocean. It would have been nice if the hotel had provided chairs for the beach. Overall we had a great experience.

This was our first experience at the Coral Sands and we will definitely be back! The staff and service was top notch and we felt like we were staying with friends. We appreciated the attention to detail by the housekeeping staff. Super clean hotel, and well maintained. Our only complaint was the fact that there were no assigned beach chairs, so you have to pay the locals for chairs. We actually walked (15 minutes) most days to the beach close to the Accra hotel, but the water is much calmer by the Coral Sands. Each room in this hotel also has a beautiful ocean view. I will be staying here again the next time I visit Barbados.

My only real complaint is that there was no shampoo, conditioner etc. Plenty of soap.
But as a business traveler used to virtually every hotel having shampoo at least, it was an unpleasant surprise. Bars of soap are terrible for washing hair, as I learned the hard way with no option available on the first morning. Then you have to find a place to buy some, and end up leaving an oversized bottle behind.
Other than that, a nice place and coming from someone who visit quite regularly on business.

This isn’t a review for coral sands but the staff who refused to cancel my booking that was made by Expedia which I didn’t approve - the choice of hotel was a forced choice to replace the Accra beach hotel which closed three days prior to my departure. I told Expedia no that it wasn’t comparable and I would have never picked a dated 70s hotel with a man sitting at a table with flurorescent colored walls . They didn’t want to give me a refund neither Expedia or coral sands because they are both crooks who work together to keep my money even though I requested a refund. BBB is no help because they just communicate for me. I could have booked this new hotel for cheaper a night on the website directly yet somehow Expedia thinks it was a great replacement for the hotel the had a closure. Do yourself a favor and don’t use third party crooks . Book though Airbnb or something like that and buy an airline ticket directly through the airline website. That way crooks can’t make up excuses why it’s not refundable even though the closure wasn’t my fault and ruined all my plans ! Screw Expedia and coral sands for their greediness!

My home away from home. Perfect in every way. Beautiful garden, beach, pool, location and fantastic staff. Kudos to the cook Nikita who provided me with all of my dinners. Total satisfaction and quenched my taste buds with local dishes. Even if it wasn’t on the menu, Nikita made it happen. I also appreciate the kitchen in my room. I chose this hotel because it is on a beach. However, could not use the beach or go swimming, because the beach is/was severely impacted by seaweed, as well as the nearby beaches. This was quite a disappointment. I would advise anyone who likes to go to the beach and swim on their vacation, to check beach conditions before booking

Couple's Getaway!
Coral Sands was a wonderful resort for our Couple's Getaway! The room was spacious and tropically decorated. The balcony was perfect for viewing the evening sunset over the Caribbean. Jerry greeted us at the door upon our late arrival. Nikki was a wonderful hostess and cook for our breakfast in the restaurant. The area has many restaurants, grocery stores, and souvenir shop. We were there during the off-season and had the pool to ourselves most days. We will definitely be back!

Coral Sands is big in size but only has 21 rooms all with a balcony overlooking the ocean. This has to be the best hotel staff in Barbados. The hotel is convenient to everything. The rooms are bigger than most studios and you can walk 6 blocks to the supermarket and cook your meals back in the room. I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Barbados.

Great small hotel. Yes it looks a bit tired but the rooms are huge and its spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. June is the off season so the hotel was extremely quiet. Most days we were the only people round the pool. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

Check in was fast, we were early and didn't have to wait for our room. It is very central to the grocery store, restaurants, banks. Small resort on a small quiet beach, beside The Sands Resort. Able to walk the beach from our location to the public Worthing Beach almost to St. Lawrence Gap. The off-shore reefs provide shelter from the waves which made it easier to enjoy the water.
We had an oceanview room which was spacious and the view from our deck was amazing. Housekeeping and front desk staff were great. There is a pool bar and restaurant on site. We went off season in April/May and it was quiet and always able to find a chair by the pool. Would definitely go back to Coral Sands.

Big rooms and really clean. Good kitchen area. Nice balcony, swimming pool and beach loungers all good. Only big issue is there are not enough sun beds and therefore subbed wars occurs (plenty of room for some more subbed though) There are signs about not doing this but not enforced. Great location right on little beach but 2 mins walk to bigger beach. Lovely staff

First time in Barbados and was impressed with this hotel . Great location beside St Lawrence Gap which is full of restaurants and bars - opposite Worthing square and close to supermarkets/shops. Up the road from Oistins and Bridgetown.
Regular transport to anywhere on the island on the doorstep of the hotel (the minibuses are a fun experience and cost just 3.50 BD)
Room very spacious and nice relaxing pool area with access to the beach which was great for an early morning swim.
The staff are a credit to the hotel, all three staff members we met at reception were friendly, kind, helpful when we had queries and wanted to know how our stay was.
If I was to return to Barbados wouldn’t hesitate to say here again !

Coral Sands is a nice property with big rooms, great beds and quiet after 10 pm. The band next door stopped at 10. The hotel is on the south shore and the ocean can get rough. We did have problems with lots of Sargasum seaweed. One negative was the fence and barbwire around the back and pool. Made it look like a prison.

While the rooms and view were very nice, the limited dining options and poor hours for the bar and pool were a big drawback. Barkeep was almost never at the bar, so getting a drink was nearly impossible. The pool, bar and restaurant closed by like 6 or 7. The beach is extremely small and we could never find anyone to give us the chairs that were locked up. There is a good selection of bars and dining about a 10 min walk away, but the walkways are very close to the cars flying by. Overall, if youre willing to walk or drive to other beaches, it was an ok stay, but dont go expecting a great beachfront experience at this hotel.

Very good in just about every respect. Only very slight gripe would be pool is a bit small ( but the warm clear sea is a great alternative !) , also would have been nice to have teabags/coffeebags made available and refreshed each day, but hey, the supemarket is round the corner !

This was our first stay at Coral Sands Beach Resort, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. Rooms are very spacious, location very good, staff all very helpful and pleasant. However, one blight at the end of the stay when we were told that we would have to vacate the hotel at 15.00hrs !!! Usually flights to the UK are in the evening and in our case it was at 20.30hrs meaning that we would be picked up from hotel at 17.30hrs. Since this was a new rule and we were not advised at time of booking, the management on the day allowed us to stay. IF they had not, we would have had to walk the streets with two large cases and two small cases for 2.5 hours. I urge the owner to back down on this ridiculous rule or run the risk of losing business. It would put us off returning.

Corals sand is located on a fabulous beach close to all amenities, large rooms with a great balcony but slightly tired needs updating especially the bathroom.
Biggest moan is !!! not enough sun beds 16 loungers for over 60 people, lots of complaints whist there.
We had to pay for loungers on the beach daily as I refuse to get up at 6am to bag a bed.
This property has such potential would definitely stay again if they address the issues.I Hope they modernise and sort the issues out.

The rooms are large and very comfortable with a very nice kitchenette and double closets in the dressing area. Be aware that toiletries and tissues are not provided. We went out to buy at the nearby Massey’s. We really enjoyed the large balcony for eating and watching the ocean. The pool was refreshing and yes people do save chairs all day. That is on them. The bar was well priced. I would stay there again and wish I could find more places like this. A very good value with a friendly, helpful staff.

It is a great property with excellent beach and pool. The room is huge, like an apartment with full kitchen (utensils and appliances), huge balcony facing Carribbean sea in a peaceful and safe environment. It is great for families. There is a big supermarket (2 min by car and 7-8 min walk).

I loved it here - even though the interior could benefit from an upgrade/refurb, the overall feel of the place is one where you can relax. The balcony gives clear view of the sea and wonderful sunsets. One improvement - it could be worth airing the rooms with fresh air when vacant to halt the damp atmosphere present in the bathroom.

Poolside, limited supply of sun loungers though beach access is adjacent if preference is to be by the sea. We had a great stay here. The property is very clean a little outdated but the beach is amazing Sandy beach. The food was great we had breakfast with Nikki every morning she’s super sweet. We loved the breakfast options. The French toast was amazing, as well as pancakes eggs. We had lunch as well chicken fingers and veggie burger. Staff was great. Jerry was very nice and helpful up front manager. We had the best room, balcony view with full equipped kitchen fridge stove all the tools you need even though we did not use or cook. Staff was very attentive. If we needed more towels, toilet paper or anything for the room they were there right away. There is a walkable dining options. We mostly ate at the worthington square where there are food trucks. Food was awesome. We felt very accommodated here. Most of the guest are 60 . We are a younger couple in our 30s. Really enjoyed the stay to recharge and relax. If you are looking for a party atmosphere this is not the place for you. We had great weather here December 14-18. Locals were very friendly also. Thank you again to everyone at Coral Sands Resort. We loved Barbados and our time here. Happy Holidays to everyone and their families there!

Had a great stay at Coral Sands Beach Resort! The staff was very friendly and the room had everything we needed. We couldn't use the beach because of the hurricane but the pool was very clean and seemed like we had it all to ourselves. The hotel is in a great location, so we were able to easily walk to supermarkets, restaurants, and even a French bakery. Would definitely stay here again!

Very clean, pretty but older building that’s a little outdated. The staff was helpful and friendly. The property is waterfront and the view is gorgeous (gorgeous views all over the island!). Small beach but very clean. We didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and well maintained. The bar is tiny and we did not sit there either. It is walkable to the St Lawrence Gap area but the sidewalks are very narrow at times and it is a busy main road. We really enjoyed our stay and it was our first time in Barbados

We will return in a heartbeat. Walkable to many nearby attractions. Beautiful and clean property. The only surprise is the lack of property owned beach chairs, but they quickly facilitated a beach vendor who rented them at $5USD.
