This award-winning property enjoys a convenient beachfront location in the lively St. Lawrence Gap on Barbados' south coast.

It is the ideal choice for a fun-filled Caribbean holiday experience, offering the perfect base from which to explore all this beautiful region has to offer. Guests will find themselves just a 15-minute drive from Bridgetown, while the airport is a 17-minute drive away.

Designed to meet any kind of travellers' needs, a wide choice of different accommodation units is offered. They range from Traditional to Deluxe units and contain en-suite bathrooms and fully-equipped kitchenettes ideal for those wishing to enjoy the freedom of a self-catering holiday experience.

The onsite dining options include a gourmet poolside restaurant as well as a restaurant serving delicious international cuisine with touches of Caribbean flavours. A large pool, sunbathing and recreational area are also available for guests' convenience.

Please be advised that we will be doing work on our pool from July 3 – 20, 2024, and that the pool will be closed during this period. The hotel will remain operational although the pool will not be available.


When you stay at Rostrevor Hotel in St. Lawrence Gap, you'll be on the beach, a 1-minute drive from Dover Beach and 6 minutes from Carlisle Bay.

For the price I paid, this hotel was a great value especially since we went during the busy season (beginning of March). Yes, the room has not been updated like some of the other hotels but the room was clean and equipped with the essentials. The location, view from our ground floor ocean view room and the proximity of the pool was fantastic. The lounge chairs were occupied quickly but there always seemed to be a spot for the two of us.
We would definitely stay here again.

A truly lovely hotel. Great location, right on the beach. Such friendly staff and has the local traditional feel rather than a large corporate. Staff can’t do enough for you. Had breakfast there and used the bar area. All lovely. Only tip I would give is request a sea view room rather than one facing the road as there are some bars nearby. Short walk down the road to hop on a bus to other beaches or Bridgetown

The Rostrevor is a very nice older hotel. A little scruffy in places but very comfortable. Our room was large and clean and the well equipped kitchenette allowed us to defray costs of dining out. The view from our balcony was wonderful. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. The little private beach is a fun place to cool off. Several things could do with updating and sprucing up a little but the condition is commensurate with the room price.

Location is perfect if you don’t have a car rental. We like the access to the ocean for a quick swim. Staff is friendly and room is clean. Unfortunately not enough loungers or sun umbrellas. We had very poor water pressure in the shower. We did enjoy our stay and will return next year.

Rooms were well appointed. Each had a fantastic view of the ocean. Right in the middle of the busy St Lawrence Gap area, but very quiet and peaceful on the resort. Easy walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars.
The beach in friont is small, but a 3 minute walk takers you to Dover Beach. Large, excellent for swimming, not overly crowded beach

Clean room , great location. Was supposed to be a king bed, but was really two smaller beds sort of pushed together. Walls thin (noisy neighbors). Pool was great. Sunsets lovely. TV could not be turned off except by unplugging it (!). Kitchenette in the studio was fine for good cooked breakfasts

Hi, the staff were friendly, I did have a concern about communication, when we checked in , we were told a one time use there would be a 20percent discount on a meal, etc and when we went to use it, the restaurant staff wouldnt acknowledge it, also on the New year's Day lunch, drink specials said till 3pm, and at 2pm the Bar staff said it was over...so to me this is miscommunication with staff affecting service. Not a five star hotel but met expectations so giving it 5 stars for what is advertised. Staff were nice, room was clean. Prime oceanfront location - This is why you stay here. Restaurant on site. Recommend staying in the newer building, but not on the first floor. While nice to walk out to the ocean, people will use the loungers in front of your patio door so you have no privacy. Wish list: bigger tv’s, extra comforters, sheer curtains (not just black out ones), more light in the bathroom.

I enjoyed by stay at Rostrevor it's always a pleasure staying there. Room was vkesn with daiky housekeeping services. Restaurant on site. Its in the heart of St. Lawrence Gap with all the Nightlife, Food and Culture. Walking distance to Dover Beach and Public transportation. Ideal for solo travelers. The room was spotless, and watching the sunset from our 3rd floor deck was amazing. The pool was a bonus in case the ocean is too rough to swim.
One negative was the bars across the street were a little loud, but if you keep the bathroom door shut, it helps a lot. The sound comes in through the venting the bathroom.

The room seems to be clean however when I sat in one of the chairs the chair bottom fell out. This could have resulted in me getting hurt. There was also a lot of noise (music) coming from outside which is going to prove challenging to sleep. The staff were courteous .

Miserable reception following long flight from London etc. Not even a bottle of water or cup of tea available. Just told to go to supermarket. Thank goodness we were only booked in for one night before our cruise. Don’t bother with this place, there are much nicer places further along the road. Friendly staff, nice bars and lovely beach.

This property...the room was dirty, bathroom dirty. Room is oldfashioned and worst of all there was a roach a BIG roach in my room on the first night. Location of this hotel in the \"Gap\" is a real plus. Many restaurant options in the area at all price points. Food uniformly excellent in all, from beach shack (Daddy's) to high price (Tabu) as examples. Also, lots of shopping options. Help the vendors along the \"Gap\" selling their wares with a small purchase...it will make you feel good helping a Bajan!

Great hotel in great location next to everything you need literally, just didn’t like the two twin beds they put together when me and my wife was trying to sleep it get on separating and it was very uncomfortable, also the shower curtains aren’t long enough which make a lot of water get out on the bathroom floor while showering, and there is beach access but it isn’t meant for swim due to the rough water and the way it’s set up but it’s next to plenty beachew hotel could do a little upgrade breakfast wasn’t good in my opinion overall it was an ok stay and the perfect location with a lot of nightlife

The hotel was nice and clean. A little older rooms but good for the price. AC and shower was good. The staff at the front desk is very rude and not helpful. I saw them be very unhelpful and rude to many guests including myself. Laundry is another issue. The laundry is only 1 washer and dryer. They have a second room with 2 washers and dryers and they won’t allow others to use it. Asking the hotel front desk staff for any help isn’t worth your time. Better to speaking to a wall. Also the pictures of the beach are fake. There is no beach. There is 10 feet across by 2 feet of long of sand that is under water 90% of the time. You have to walk to the real beaches or Carlisle Bay which is the best one (need a taxi). I wouldn’t stay here again because there are many other hotels in the area where you don’t have to deal with a rude staff at the front desk.

The phone in my room gave a busy signal when I tried to reach front desk. This lasted the whole of yesterday. And,

Last night, between 12am and 1 am, my family and I were awoken by an alarm going off. It would stop for a few seconds and then continue with the piercing sound. Unsure what was happening, we went to the front desk and was told by security, she had informed the relevant people and it will hopefully be corrected soon.

The picture of this hotel needs to be updated; there is absolutely “no” beach! Food is only served from 7am- 2pm, no snacks or dinner after that. Bar closes at 6pm, should at least stay open till 9pm. Mark and Verna are great; front desk people are not very friendly. I had asked to be on an upper floor because I heard the bar across the way gets loud. The woman at the desk told me it was fine; I was on the first floor right across from the rum shop and it was

Property was nice and convenient to restaurants, bars and clubs. We had dinner at Tabu which is across the street from the hotel. We had lunch 2 time's at Sharkey which is directly across the street. There's a casino across the street and down the street as well. My husband won a few hundred dollars in there. I will advise that with the club across the street that you can hear the music that goes on till like 3 or 4am, that became a little annoying when you're trying to sleep. Other than that the hotel was nice overall. We had a mini fridge, microwave and stove with plate, utensils and glasses for your convenience.
