Service and front desk personnel were very nice and helpful. Breakfast buffett was delicious and very good quality. On the other hand, bathtub was very high and made it difficult to get in and out, somewhat dangerous. I wish swimming pool was open up later in the day. By the time we returned to the hotel in the evening, it was already close since 7:00 PM. Overall, it was great!

Hotel was clean and late check in went all good. Only issue was we stayed 4 of us in total in room (2 adult and 2 children) but only provided 2 bed. One bed wasn't comfortable at all and the blanket in one bed was for single person.

there was no AC in the rooms and the staff there tried to convince me that this is the Italian law to shut the AC in October, although i didn't find any law saying this. Moreover, they asked me to open the window despite my room was in the 6th floor and there is not safety film installed in the windows. I had a picture for insects that are on the window from outside.
Also, the staff don't speak English and even some of the signs in the rooms are translated incorrectly. I asked for one extra pillow, they brought me an extra towel.

A basic modern hotel with all the facilities you would expect. Let down by cost cutting such as small, disposable paper cups in the room instead of glasses, and mugs for tea etc. the infrastructure in the rooms is looking tired and worn, albeit serviceable.

The food was good - apart from the dried out focaccia (avoid) - and the breakfast staff were lovely

Location was ok, tons of tour buses. Shower access in the room was awful. Very limited space for the toilet. Server for the lunch buffet was useless. Food was sparse and cold, no desserts, you have to beg for a coffee or more water.
No service at the pool area during most of the day. The pool does not open till 11:00 and closed at 8:00. Not great if you want to get in a workout.

I had a great time at the hotel during my 3-night stay with my mother. The staff was wonderful—attentive and professional. The room was spacious with very comfortable beds, and the bathroom was also generously sized. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options.

I gave the hotel 4 stars because, in my opinion, it’s starting to feel a bit dated. The shower water temperature fluctuated between hot and cold, making it difficult to shower comfortably. The pillows were also not very comfortable; one was a thin, soft square, while the other was too hard (my mother had the same experience).

On the last day, I used the pool changing rooms before heading to the airport. While it was convenient that they offer this service, the changing rooms were disappointing—unclean and not up to the standard of a four-star hotel.

Overall, it’s a good hotel, and I’ll probably stay there again.

Save for some “Road House” restaurant, there is nothing out here. If you want to walk to the Meatre Square it’s about 25 and you will walk part of that stroll parallel to a high way. Stay closer to the train station and bus stop the Plaza, or Best Western. Their AC does not work.

The hotel was nice and smart, reception staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and useful for the kids as got very hot.
The bar and restaurant staff were not so friendly and didn’t feel welcome especially at breakfast when all the staff looked really fed up and super speedily whisked the breakfast away as soon as possible.
We had an ant infestation in our room because of food left under the bed from previous guests, the first day we arrived.
I think we were unfortunate and generally the hotel was good and perfect with kids.

The staff are useless, very impolite and unhelpful. I got sick my first night and late at night asked if they could arrange for some emergency medicines. They just said no. There was no public transport available around anywhere close to the hotel and I was left helpless.

The bar staff while nice but overworked, there was one bartender serving the restaurant and the swimming pool, took me 25 minutes to buy a bottle of water.

We was a great hotel stay. Hotel looked clean and modern. The air-conditioning worked. They had rentable umbrellas. The restaurant and drinks were wonderful at normal prices. The breakfast was great. They had fruit, bread assortment, sweet assortment, eggs, bacon sausage and great coffee. The staff was very accommodating to our needs and requests. They were also very pleasant. Highly recomend this hotel at this location. I would love to return.

I woke up with bite marks all over my legs. I’m freaking out that they may have bed bugs in their room. I attempted to call to speak to the manager regarding this, and was told that they weren’t in, that they were in a meeting etc. I told the front desk person what the problem was and they told me to call back, and then to send an email with my concern. I told them bed bugs are a SERIOUS issue that they need to check and address right away. They told me to write an email. I got a hold of the Expedia rep and they said they would advocate for me and that someone would follow up with them. It’s been 2 days and I have heard nothing. I will be disposing if my items upon returning home and hope to god no one else picks them up upon their travels. No feedback from hotel, no one reached out, no help whatsoever. Just stress for the whole family.

Primera vez que me sucede que a pesar que las habitaciones estaban disponibles, no nos entregaron las llaves porque el hotel cobraba 40 euros por early check in, nosotros llegamos a la 1pm y el check in era a las 2pm, sólo faltaba 1 hora. Éramos 4 parejas, y cada pareja su habitación, tuvimos que registrarnos y dejar las maletas, para no perder tiempo porque era nuestro último día y queríamos visitar Murano y Burano. Al momento de registrarnos nos dieron el número de habitación pero no las llaves, y la muchacha que nos registró me dijo, tu eres la ganadora, ganaste la suite, y todos lo celebramos y le dije regreso a mi suite cuando terminemos el paseo. Regresamos todos y a mis amigos les dieron las llaves de los cuartos que le habían asignado temprano, y a mi esposo y a mi nos cambiaron el cuarto, le pregunté al staff Lorenzo por la suite que me habían asignado temprano y me dijo que había sido un error, le enseñe el recibo con el número de la habitación que me habían dado y le comenté lo que la muchacha me había dicho temprano y no le daba la gana de darme la misma habitación, hasta que sus compañeros le dijeron que me la de, y yo le dije que era un maltrato y pésimo costumer service, yo no había pedido esa habitación, la recepcionista temprano me dijo que me la gané y mi error fue no preguntar porqué. Pero después de eso me dieron la habitación y todo muy limpio y muy cómodo.

It's very expensive when you travel by taxi to the hotel or travel towards the airport or anywhere else. It's hard for people who speak the English language to understand the signs and notices. Too much time is wasted discovering every thing.

After staying at the novatell, Inn Athens, I expected much more in the way of service and amenities. Unfortunately, at this location, they penny pinch everything or not super friendly or accommodating on any level the hours of operation for both the restaurant, and the pool are ridiculous as well as the fact that you can’t order drinks and sit outside by the pool in some areas without ordering food as well even when the restaurant is closed, this hotel needs to step it up a notch if they think it’s worth going out of their way to stay there when they’re not local to anything and taxis are fortune. I definitely would not go back to this location of novatell.

The staff was so helpful . Cleaners was great and we always had fresh towels . Because it was so hot the cleaners dropped water and fizzy drinks through out the day . Breakfast was excellent and kids ate free . Parking was so easy and 10min bus ride into the Venice itself was so easy and we was really worried about this . Excellent hotel and good location for those wanting to drop into Venice . There is also a good water park 20mins drive away which the kids loved .

We stayed for 3 nights overall both times that we stayed there were issues in the room first night. There was no power from the sockets nor from the USB sockets. We have the engineer visit the room and was told it was the adapter that was causing the issues and try not to move it whilst it was plugged in, also the phone in the room did not ring out to reception. Therefore when we want to call them later in the evening for an extra pillow, we couldn’t . the following week of stayed two nights the USB ports didn’t work in this room either. We wanted to call reception but there was no numbering on the phone. Also the safe did not work. We asked for the safe to be looked at but no one showed up so we couldn’t use this. Overall, we were not impressed.

The hotel is excellent with a great choice of food ror breakfast. The pancakes were very popular. There is not much to do near the hotel, however, there is a Lidl within about 4 minutes walking distance and within 10 minutes there is a bus stop to catch the bus to Venice (the number 2) and the number 13 take takes you to a large shopping mall. Mestre town also has a variety of restaraunts and there is a tram that takes you into the centre.

Wrong choice for Venice visit

The hotel was nice. Staff not so informed of their job. Room and bathroom were big. However, aircon was busted and noisy. Worst part, cleaning lady left room window opened so many mosquitos were in the room and we woke up with many bites all over. Location is really far from Venice. No shuttle to the bus stop.

We came in very late at night and the staff was very accommodating just make sure to bring everyone’s passport to include your child(ren) at check-in. There’s a burger place across the street and right next to a gas station. This was our favorite hotel for our dogs. They had their own dog park for them to include doggie poop bags and in the summer a small fountain. I just wish it was completely gated off rather than being able to access to docking area of the hotel. Parking was very convenient and free at the time. Just make sure you get a ticket from the front desk if you want to leave since you’ll need it to lift the parking barrier.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It is located 2 bus stops from the railway station Venice Mestre. The bus stop is around the corner (5 min walk). The stuff is very friendly, the room was clean. It is 20 min away from Marco Polo airport.

Clean hotel overall. But the check in experience was not the greatest. We had to wait for atleast 30 mins waiting for the room to be ready. Once they gave us the set of key cards (2cards in total) were both not working. We had to keep going back down the reception telling them it wasnt working. They kept telling us to swipe the card faster (which we did with video to show/prove them we tried everything). Maintenance had to give us 1 master key after an hour trying to open the our room. One of the girl from the reception just kept dismissing our issue, and wasnt helpful at all.

Awesome clean and well located property in Mestre, just a short bus ride away from Venice.

Hotel is clean, quite with professional staff, very nice modern looking building, fairly priced Parking and it's just steps away from Bus Stop from where you can take the bus to get to Venice in 20 minutes.

it's also located a block away from a discount grocery store.
Highly recommended and we look forward to stay again at this hotel.

As a chain hotel its good enough. I have filtered to have a swimming pool in hotels.com and this hotel came up but the hotel did not operate the pool and also the temperatures are quite high, the Air conditioning is not turned on..had to open the windows and traffic sound is clearly heard didn’t have a proper sleep for both the nights.

This hotel has a bit of chaos written all over it.
We always got different answers/instructions depending on who we asked.
The life guards all had different rules depending on who was working.
The receptionists also all had different answers/rules. Very strange vibe.
The positive aspect of the hotel was that it was clean and easy to get to. Easy access to Venice too. We also loved the pool.
The restaurant was totally under staffed and on the Sunday of our stay we had to wait in line for 40 minutes to get our breakfast.
During the wait time for breakfast a fight broke out between some guests in the middle of the restaurant and the hotel manager showed up to try to calm things down. Absolute madness.
The ladies in the breakfast restaurant working their butts off to serve everyone breakfast deserve a medal.
