I really am not a person that writes bad reviews, but this place is a mess. The employee that checked my husband and I in was rude. The room key wasn’t programmed correctly twice so it took about 20 minutes to even get in our room. We weren’t told the checkout time or that there was breakfast included with our stay. We booked a 2 queen bed room and one of the beds didn’t even have a mattress protector or fitted sheet on it. The other bed had a mattress protector on, but a flat sheet was used as the fitted sheet but it was too small to totally cover the mattress. The only saving grace was that the mattresses/room/bathroom was clean. If I wasn’t tired from traveling for 9 hours, I probably would’ve found somewhere else to stay.

While the morning staff was much more friendly, no one asked how anything was so I honestly didn’t even feel it would be worth it to complain to them.

This hotel is a really cool concept and the rooms are spacious and unique, but I can tell the focus is on the brewery/restaurant. I would love to see those responsible take more pride in the rooms and maybe invest in some hospitality training.

I will absolutely never stay here again.

A great place staff was amazing free breakfast room was clean and if you wanna get out of the hustle and bustle of the taproom, they have a bar right there in the hotel, which was perfect for an night cap. They also served fresh baked cookies and a beer between 7 and 9 PM.

We stay here twice a month We haven’t tried their restaurant as we go to Masseys Pizza next door each time but the hotel room and grounds are beautiful. Rooms are always clean, staff extremely friendly, and you actually get served a beer at check in! Always a great experience!

Be prepared to wake up on a bare mattress - as the room we stayed in did not have fitted mattress sheets / just a sheet laid on top of the mattress. The hotel charged our credit card for the room even though it was prepaid through hotels.com- so we were charged twice. I called the hotel asking for a receipt to sort this out, but they have yet to send it to me and did not offer me a receipt at check in or check out. The included breakfast was a joke and despite 24/7 advertised room service the options included only a “pretzel” or some bags of chips on a shelf you could buy. Their claim to fame is a beer fridge in the bathroom, but that is not enough to overlook the poor communication, failure to provide a receipt and waking up with your face on a bare mattress.

Everything was clean at the property except for my room. My door was left open, cleaning supplies in the bathroom but there was bowel movement on my toilet, old trash left from a previous guest. I cleaned my own bathroom. Curtains off of the track.
The staff was top notch, very friendly and accommodating.
I believe when this hotel first opened it was the bees knees, today maybe not so much.

The staff were amazing and helpful upon our arrival! The breakfast in the morning was delicious and hot! We were disappointed that we had booked this property for the amenities such as the brewery attached to it and sadly the restaurant was closed due to a private function and this was not communicated to us at the time of booking. The purpose of our stay was to use all the amenities and unfortunately we were not able to experience its full potential. With the price we paid to stay it was dissapointing. Due to the location if this occurs you would need to drive to another spot for food, walking is difficult. Only other issues as many said was soaps in bathroom were not stocked and some had been watered down! However bed was comfy and clean! AC worked great in the heatwave.

This hotel has gone downhill since the first time we stayed. They removed the treat jars from the elevators; the dog park is a disaster. They never have waste bags filled in the dispensers any time we have stayed. The gate on the opposite side of the park is completely off its hinges and was just lying on the ground. The whole point of a dog park is so dogs can't get out but with no gate they can get out. Not safe as an advertised dog park. The amenities for dogs are advertised as one thing on the site but then something different when you get there. There are not bowls in the rooms, so you have to ask for them. When we go to the front desk it's never the same person just somebody covering for the regular person. They can't answer any questions, or they don't know where something is like dog bowls. For the price not sure it's worth it anymore.

My husband and I recently stayed at Dog Brewery & Hotel with our Scottish Terrier, McKinley, and we had such a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about both their human and canine guests.

McKinley had an absolute blast and was treated like a VIP the entire stay. It was so nice to find a place that is truly dog-friendly and makes pets feel just as welcome as their owners.

The food was delicious, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the complimentary breakfast that was included with our stay. Everything was fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the day.

The atmosphere was relaxing, the accommodations were comfortable, and the outstanding staff made the experience even better. We made some wonderful memories with McKinley and will definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone traveling with their furry family members!I’d give it a solid 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This hotel is a unique experience, great for beer lovers or travelers with dogs.

We love being greeted with complimentary beers.

The food is not as good as when we stayed five years prior. It used to be the best breakfast we have had at a hotel, but now is a lot more standard.

Hotel staff are friendly, the rooms are clean except for a few small details like vents. Someone had been smoking outside and the scent was getting brought in by the A/C unit in the night.

The room cleanliness was very disappointing. When we arrived, the trash from the previous guests had not been thrown out, and there was even a half-empty can of Red Bull left in the room. It immediately made the room feel unclean and poorly maintained.

The TV was also not functioning properly. At first it would not connect because of Wi-Fi issues, and even after it eventually connected, there was still a pop-up message saying it was not connected. The message stayed on the screen the entire time and blocked the view, so the TV was basically unusable except for the sound.

Unfortunately, the reception staff were also not very solution-oriented when we brought these issues up, which made the experience even more frustrating.

Overall, this was not the level of cleanliness, maintenance, or service I expected, and it negatively affected the stay.

We stayed in a suite which was supposed to sleep 4 but there was only a bed and a very uncomfortable couch, which was not a sleeper sofa. Had to ask for a roll out bed but I had to sleep on the very uncomfortable couch. Room was only for 2 not 4 as stated in the description.

Hotel was OK but could be better. Staff was not very helpful or friendly. Breakfast was terrible. Parking was great but be prepared to haul your luggage a significant distance. There were 5 or 6 groups waiting to check in since they would not check anyone in before 3:30. They made no announcement when they were ready to check people in, just checked in the next group that walked through the door, leaving those who were waiting quite surprised and a little upset. Overall nice idea but poor execution. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.

Rooms and accommodation were great. Staff was great only issue was bartenders in restaurants blew us off every time we went up to the bar to spend plenty of money as we did over the 4 days we were there. To the point we ordered pizza from somewhere else to be delivered to patio. All other staff was great. Very polite and accommodating. We loved the atmosphere and set up. Great concept. I paid more for a dog-free room that was available but it still smelled like dogs. I am sensitive to allergens and had to take medicine to sleep there without an asthma attack. It also smelled like the vets office, they must use the same cleaner. Such a bummer because otherwise this place would be a top hotel imo. I think they probably launder all the linens together because the bed smelled like animals had slept there. I really don’t see the point of having a dog-free room if they are going to use linens that dogs sleep on across all rooms. I get wanting to cater to pet owners but if you’re listing a dog-free room at a higher price then make sure it’s like…. All dog free. About 20% of the population has pet allergies, it’s not like I’m the only person that struggles with this. Finding a hotel that doesn’t make me physically sick is so annoying.

Our Golden Doodle loved being on the 1st floor with direct access out thru the patio door, The employees were all very attentive to him and made sure he had water and biscuits available. So... we didn't get breakfast because we had to leave at 7:30 and the poor guy was being run ragged trying to get everything done. He deserves a medal.

The place was really cool. I found hairs in the bed adn when i asked to change rooms I found more hairs in the next room so I went back to my original room. Initially the place looks great but as you are in the room you start to really notice the wear and tear. Peeling wallpaper, spills, hairs, lots of dust and dust bunnies, empty complimentary candy jars, empty complimentary dog treats for the entire stay and the soap, shampoo and conditioner look like it has never been changed rinsed and refilled. Super slimy. The staff was AMAZING! I would come back and stay just because the service was top notch. The ping pong table, the outdoor setting and the nightly cookies were great. The breakfast was great and once again the service at breakfast was top notch. The people who work there love their jobs and it shows. I would return for them.

This is our second stay at Doghouse, Columbus, the first time being in 2022.
The room was clean but a little tired this time but the breakfast was better and the stay was worthwhile.
Staff went from excellent to very poor. We had dinner in the main bar and Lily was outstanding. In the hotel bar/reception on the evening of our stay, 2 staff were sitting in a corner on their mobile phones and then they disappeared. My husband waited 25 minutes to get a drink and still no staff. He eventually went to the fridge and helped himself. When the receptionist finally came back, he told her what he had done and wanted to pay. She then expected a tip!!
The hotel staff in the morning were absolutely fine but I suggest the evening staff find a job that they actually like.

The issues that I had caused me to not even spend the night. I had pre paid and it was nonrefundable. Not staying was a loss I was willing to take under the circumstances described below.

Suffice it to say the hotel is approximately 1-1 1/2 city blocks away from parking where I had to park. I had equipment that I had to bring in as well as my luggage on a dolly that itself weighed more than it should that the hotel provided. I had to attempt to walk through a crowded restaurant because that is 1 of 2 only access, or, take the dolly across 20 yards of Fieldstone. These were my options just to have access to the hotel. The unseasonably warm 85 degrees made it worse.

it was too much of a hassle, they had no options other than the above. I went across the street to a hotel that I could drive up to the front door and unload baggage and equipment, by the way, which is normal. I paid less for it than the discounted amount through Expedia that was non refundable.

For me, when traveling, convenience is important. The write up on the hotel and brewery is a cool concept and sounded enjoyable, in reality it wasn't.

I'm sure the libations and accommodations are suitable, having to lug any luggage or any work equipment to get there is more a challenge and hassle than I was not informed of and was not in any descriptions!

The bed didn’t have a fitted sheet so it was a plastic. Floors were unfortunately quite dirty. But overall didn’t affect our stay and we definitely love this place. The morning staff unfortunately made it clear they dislike their job. The food in the morning was completely gone by 9:30am. Waited an hour for some dried eggs and they never brought anything else out. I had to ask for forks and plates three times. Not sure what’s going on with quality control in the morning, but that really needs improvement.

The staff was great and the hotel, restaurant, and rooms are really cool. Probably the coolest hotel we've ever stayed at. The food was great and they even offer a free \"check in beer\" which I thought was a nice touch. I loved the pet friendly environment, too. The room decor was awesome and I even liked the cable set up on the TV. It's much easier to navigate than other hotels. My only critique would be putting a sign near the front designating the way to the hotel. That part was confusing. And even though I love the idea of the snacks in the room, I don't like the honor system. I got charge apparently for a snack when we didn't take any snacks. I don't have any way to even dispute it. It's not a big deal, but I didn't like it. But the bureau for the clothes was so cool. One thing I wish they had was a small fridge in the room. The only one they have is for the snack bar drinks. Other than that, a great experience and we will return every time we're in town.

Even though I got an email asking if I wanted my room serviced and I replied yes (plus put the sign on the door requesting service) the room wasn’t cleaned. The staff was prompt with requests but the room was dirty and in general had a poor aesthetic, holes in the wall, dirty baseboards with bugs, and the door would not close unless the keycard was used. There was no hot water for showering, the hand soap was milky water that seemed to be watered down soap, and the Apple TV did not work, even after requesting for it to be addressed. We were given another remote without the staff ensuring it worked properly, which it did not, but chose not to call again because the staff said they weren’t exactly sure about the remotes. I discussed these things at checkout but staff did not seem concerned or apologetic.

Nice hotel. Good beds and close to lots of fun stuff. Pet friendly which is the main reason i picked it.

Had to stay up here during a snow storm for a couple days and this place was amazing! Not only the unique experience but they really took care of the guest. Everything was closed in the area and they even provided dinners for the guest which was a life saver

Staff was great and the place is an experience! Nice room. Great beer. Breakfast would have been great if it had been hot. Want to return in the warmer weather to experience the outdoors as well.

First off best hotel ever. Staff is incredibly nice and friendly. We had a 3 hour drive and furnace issues arrived at 9pm. We’re welcomed with a welcome beer and hotel staff called over to th kitchen to stay open so we could eat even though the kitchen was about to close. Meant the world to us. If you’re going to Columbus you have to stay here. Your room is right in the brewery. Rooms are comfy and fun.

The room was clean. We were going to get a glass and when I went down stairs to ask if I just take it out of the room or if I just take it out of the room she said she would get me one at the desk and it will be $10. were in the room the paper said $5. I said something to her about it and she said prices have changed. Then take the paper out of the room and put the new prices in the room.

This was really a nice small quaint hotel. The only thing I didn’t like was the flooring in the rooms and the guest above me on the 3rd floor were loud and bumping, maybe heavy footed. I would definitely say again and bring slippers!

The staff is wonderful and so accommodating. We extended our stay because of weather and they made it seamless. We loved all their little touches, like stout and cookies, sugar 24/7, and we adored the room and all the fun. We can’t wait to come back for a stay in the summer.
