Snow-white clean sheets, comfortable pillows, pleasant smells in the shower. What do you need to relax after a busy day? Hotel \"White Horse\" By the way, the price per night was very surprising. It is centrally located in Romsey and is always a great place to stay. Rooms are clean and tidy and the hotel is very comfortable. Staff are friendly and I stay here on business.
The only negative is when you decide not to have your room cleaned , they do not replace the cups , coffees and teas unless you tell reception.
I did this on the first day and they replaced them but forgot on the second, ended up going to reception and getting them but would of liked them to have just replaced them

I would advise people to be careful on the Main stairs as it is an old building and these need to be taken with care.

All round a very good stay
Myself & a group of friends were staying at this hotel for a funeral not far away. Was a bit worried initially that they didn’t have anywhere to park but the info they provided regarding parking was really good and the longstay car park was really not that far away in the end, maybe a 3min walk at most. The rooms were clean & beds comfy. Staff were very helpful & grateful when you pointed out an issue(we had an issue with the drain in our shower). Breakfast was good. And the hotel was positioned very well with plenty of options for food if you didn’t want to eat at the hotel. Nice cafe close by also. All round a very good stay.

Another fabulous visit and wonderful stay. I would recommend a little light on the balcony table for late drinks. A few less spiders would have been better as well 😂. There was a table below very close to the balcony with people attending a wedding party including excited children. This did make the room less relaxing than hoped for. Apart from that the Abbey bells are lovely to wake up to, and the staff were very friendly as always.

The 2 rooms we had were on the top floor and oppressively hot. In excess of 30 degrees C. Whilst it was indeed a hot weekend weather wise, supplying a fan with windows which barely open will never cool down a room. The hotel should invest a small amount of its revenue into proper air conditioning for those rooms. Until they do i will not believe they really care about their customers

The only downside was no fridge in the room to keep our water and juice cold and as it was a very hot weekend it meant the bottles they supplied and supplies we took quickly got warm; although not sure where they would fit one in our room 🤔….

This hotel is as wonderful as they say. Absolutely beautiful. The restaurant is delicious and has the best coffee. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I cannot say enough good. We stayed here for 1 night, pre cruise out of Southampton. It was only a 30 minute taxi ride to port. Romsey is a small (1,000 people) town, the prettiest little English town you'll ever see. I wish we could have stayed longer. Not touristy and easy to navigate. One of those \"out of the way\" \" off the beaten path\" places I love to find. We are from Canada and I found this place on Expedia. You will not be disappointed. It's fabulous.

Down side, no rose wine (had run out) and came back for nightcap and coffee (before 10pm) but told no coffee available as machine switched off. Would have expected these things to be available on a Saturday night. Nevertheless would recommend and would go back.

Absolutely amazing stay. We went over New Year with two dogs. Nothing was too much trouble. There was a New Year’s Eve party going on directly below us and we didn’t hear a thing.

The room had everything, lovely robes and slippers. Coffee machine, water, biscuits but no mint tea sachets, I can cope with that 🙂 Very comfortable bed and I loved the pillow spray, which I used. Loved the fluffy towels. The note left by Sally was a lovely touch. Dinner in the restaurant was amazing too. Wonderful helpful staff who helped us find our room and carry our case.
