I've seen some of the \"negative\" comments but don't understand why. My room was large, especially for one person and seemed updated. The only little thing I would say is that the bathroom fixtures need updating more from age. The housekeeping was great so the room was always cleaned.

The main reason for my choice of this hotel, was it's proximity to the Santagiula arena where I went for Olympic hockey. A 15 minute walk that avoided the crowds of people waiting for transportation.

Thank God it was just for one night. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport and the airport shuttle. Check-in was fine, but the shuttle for the time we needed was already fully booked.

The common areas are decent, but that’s where the positives end. We stayed in room 816 and, for nearly 300 euros, expected much better. The carpet was cheap and dirty, the room and bathroom were small with dirty walls, the bed was just okay, and the hair dryer didn’t work. There was also no complimentary water in the room.

Novotel Milano Linate is a hotel I would not return to.

There were bugs inside the room, the hair dryer didn’t work, the bidet spray was broken, and even the safe box was out of order.
The service was extremely poor, and the staff were not helpful at all.
When I reported the issues, they simply ignored them.
I strongly don’t recommend staying here — it doesn’t deserve even one star.

Would not recommend - NO KING BEDS at property.

We were charged for a King-sized bed (upgrade) and only got a double. When asked at the front desk, the employee was rude and told me they did not have king-sized beds anywhere on the property. The restaurant and bar were closed on a Friday night. The TV would not cast internet-based services and the telephone did not work (or wouldn't be answered). It would ring 3 times and then go to fast busy. Overall staff very rude. Would not recommend.

The hotel is easy to check into and has plenty of parking. It needs a little work and it a little dated. We rented motorcycles at HP Motorad nearby and they have a sign inside (presumably because of the safety of the hotel) that renters are prohibited from parking at Novotel. The staff is nice and the room was clean.

First my wife was told that she need to pay a amount higher than the actually Hotel stay Price per Person to use the Pool, than I called Expedia, Expedia called the Hotel and all of a sudden the Pool was free to use. When my wife and daughter went to the Pool, the were not allowed to enter the Pool without a Bathing cap. Of course you can purchase one at the Hotel for a ridiculous amount. This is just not tight

Poor experience, bad shuttle, pool inaccessible

First, the airport shuttle service was useless. When we landed we rang the hotel reception to request a shuttle. We arrived at 11.15am, and were unhelpfully told that the next shuttle would be at 12.45pm. We said we didnt want to wait 1.5 hours, but the person on reception made no attempt to help us get from the airport to the hotel. One of the selling points of this hotel was the airport shuttle, without which we would have opted for another hotel in the city centre, so this was very frustrating.
When we arrived at the hotel (by Metro), the staff were dismissive and unhelpful, for instance they were unclear about how to access drinking water.
The hotel had a swimming pool which we were looking forward to, but we were told on arrival it was only open from 10am-5pm. If you are visiting a city like Milan it's likely you'll spend the day in the city, so not having access to the pool in the morning or evening makes this offer useless. To make matters worse, one evening there was a private party with people in the pool at 11pm, but we were told we weren't allowed access to the pool or the garden. Please don't advertise a pool if you plan to restrict access in the evening for some customers but not others.
The room itself was okay, but the TV connection was faulty, the toilet roll holder was broken and the wifi was very weak, working for 1 out of 3 devices. Again, we expected more.
For a hotel that looks good online, we were extremely disappointed with the staff and services

The staff was very supportive and nice. However, nobody informed us that we have to pay for beverages in the fridge ( in Rome were free). In addition, the carpet does not look clean in the room. I got a new room because of it. Than, the green area after 7.30 was closed for some events. Lastly, breakfast was very good.

I booked a king size bedroom for 2 nights this based on the availability available on the site. When I arrived in the hotel I found out that the hotel doesn’t have a King Size bedroom. They shouldn’t advertise the options. Especially when there is a price difference between the queen bedroom and King bedroom.

Chose this property due to its proximity to Milan Linate Airport as we had an early morning flight. Property was clean and staff were pleasant. Our stay was in the middle of an extreme heat wave and the AC would not cool our room. The hallways and lobby was cooler than our room. I went to the manager and he moved us to another room but it was no cooler. Regardless, we appreciated his attentiveness and willingness to help. The pool was nice as were the grounds around it. Do understand, the hotel charges a fee to use towels and chairs. The bar served great drinks. We did not eat at the restaurant. We were told at check in the restaurant closed at 230pm so we made our way there around 205pm. Staff told us the kitchen was already closed. We ended up eating vending machine sandwiches for lunch and ordered delivery pizza later that night. Overall, I would give this property 3 out of 5 stars due to lack of adequate AC.

We were checked into a room with holes in the carpet, dirty gray walls that should be white, black marks on the wall, and curtains that were starting to come apart,along with coming down from the ceiling. It seemed everything was an extra fee, including a bottle of water. As we inquired about breakfast or other options, we were told our room number didn't allow us to have access to breakfast. We paid for a shuttle for the next day to the airport. We stressed we had to leave right at 9 am to be on time. Our party along were two other groups were waiting for any staff to arrive to take us, thinking they would be there early a few minutes before 9 am to let us load our luggage. At five minutes till 9 am, we went into the front desk to ask if someone was coming because we needed to have time to make our flights, and we were told they would be there at 9 am. We were watching other visitors getting taxis and leave as we were waiting. Finally, after 9 am, a man came out from the front desk and unlocked the van. It seemed he was not pleased to have to be driving us to the airport. I will not recommend this hotel and will not return from another stay.

Suitable for transit, not for holiday

The hotel falls short in terms of cleanliness and overall quality. It fails to meet the standards expected of Novotel hotels. The rooms have a lingering cigarette odour, and the towels, which have an unpleasant vinegar smell, are not soft. During our stay, the swimming pool was out of order, and the gym was relatively small, lacking weights and functional machines. It becomes crowded by 6 am. While the breakfast was enjoyable, the options were limited, with no choices for egg-white omelettes or gluten-free bread and pancakes, and no sugar-free syrup was available. There are no coffee shops for quick snacks or coffee, and other dining options are nonexistent. The hotel is situated in a remote area, with no nearby shops or restaurants, and the surroundings have a neglected feel, making walking unsafe. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for families on vacation, but it may be suitable for a quick transit stop.

The lobby looked clean and modern, however, our room was in a poor condition. The air conditioner was leaking to the floor and kept dripping on us every time we walked into the bathroom. We complained twice and the staff were not responsive. Overall, the property was good, however, our experience with the leak and the non-responsiveness from the staff was disappointing.

One of the worst hotels experiences I've had, showers had mold in them, a/c stops and starts working again and we had more than 24 hours with no wifi.
If you go to reception and ask for a key to any room they don't even check for your name or passport and just give it to you.
I asked for a refund and did not get any.
Avoid at all costs.

We were offered a room (two adults one child) on the ground floor. The room was average at the best! The shower, and the washroom area was quite old and looked not as clean as expected. At some point the shower drainage got clogged and the water flow stopped. Once we reported the problem a gentleman cam and unclogged the drain but he did not pay any attention to the cleaning and sanitizing after he left. He had stepped in the shower area in his boots and left jumping onto the carpeted area to avoid stepping onto the tiled section. However, he did not clean and sanitize after himself, no one else came to do that either. We had to just shower it down and hope we got it cleaned up! Overall, not the best attention to cleanliness and sanitization. Also, the room would get quite damp and soggy after anyone took a shower. Not great ventilation, and most likely a potential for mold growth?!!
