The room was a complete studio with kitchen.... complete with microwave, hobs and crockery for self catering. The bathroom was lovely and clean. The beds were comfortable, bed linen and towels good quality. WiFi was very good. We had a first floor room overlooking the garden and it was very quiet. The room temperature was good which is controllable by the guest. Nice to be able to open the door to the outside garden view too. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. 10 minutes walk from Argonne metro for a quick ride to or from Linate airport. If anything at all the room is \"tired\" but for an overnight stay to be near the airport it is ideal.

Great location outside of Milan, and close proximity to bus and metro stations into the city. Hotel located in a gated area accessible by key/keypad. Quiet neighborhood surrounded by other locals. Staff members were wonderful and greeted us each time we came and left the hotel. The room has a small kitchen and fridge helpful for storing food. Would stay here again if we are coming to Milan!

Mr Francesca from napoleon was a good receptionist.
He is good as gold.
This IH hotel group need to have good look about the mosquito in surrounding hotel. My children got 100 of bite .
Staff was wonderful but hotel management or owner is rubbish to make more modern for British tourists.
I give 5 star to mr frencesca .

The place is little worn out, but okay to stay. The beds were missing blankets, only sheets to cover, kind of cold. The other room amenities including kitchen deserves a plus. However, the staff need discipline and customer service training. The front desk lady has a rude attitude toward customers. We requested a 30 minute late checkout (due to babies feeding time) and they were adamantly stupid enough to deny it, would never stay here again. The other day, we requested blanket and they seem to roil their eyes with a weird look as if no one has ever used a blanket while sleeping. The elevator/lift is congested if you are traveling with a stroller.

It was difficult to get to the hotel - at the gate, you need to find the buzzer for reception. The room itself was quite impressive for what it was - it had a kitchenette and a rather large bathroom. The area is okay, not much to do in the near vicinity, but it is close to a tram line and a subway which connects close to the heart of Milan. The lobby also had a nice coffee machine.

Property felt safe behind locked gates. Didnt like not having a 24 hour concierge. Building was a little tricky to locate as you cant see it from the street. You have to walk through a gate , down a hill, and it is the first building on the left. Staff was friendly. There is a bar across the street, people yelling, sounded like a rave was going on one night. Close to restaurants and grocery store. Easy ro get a parking spot on the road in front of the building.

You get what you pay for. The staff is very amazing but the property itself is ehhh. The room was outdated but pretty clean and I enjoyed the TV. The water pressure was basically zero and the water shot out weird so it started flooding the bathroom walls and floor but barely touched my body. The a/c is only used during spring and summer and the water is not complimentary. The outside is beautiful with so many flowers and plants but alittle under kept but I think it adds character. Overall it’s a good place for a few days and to save some money and spend it elsewhere.

MISSING PERSONAL ITEMS, BEWARE

We were checking out at 11am but wanted to explore Milan for a few more hours before our train left so we stored our bags at the reception. However, after we picked up our bags and were at the train station I noticed that my sunglasses and my Nintendo switch were gone from my backpack. This is the only place they could have gone missing as we took the taxi to the train station. This place did nothing to help even after reaching out. They just said they will \"ask the cleaners if they found anything\" but never followed up. They are slow to respond too. There was also a person clearly sleeping in the lobby of the place for some reason with blankets and their things scattered around but they didn't look like a tourist. Would not recommend staying here.

Room was comfy, with a little kitchen, everything was very clean. The issue was that they were doing some work which was very noisy and they started it at 8am… I mean that’s just not nice. Cleaning lady came into the room several minutes before check-out, did not understand a word in English and didn’t have any communication with reception about our late check out. So room was fine but there were issues.

I recommend against staying there.
1-My room was on the 8th floor, accessible by a single lift. The management recommended to NOT use this lift between 8pm and 8am.
2-The kitchenette did not have a convenient dish for heating water for a cup of tea or instant coffee.
3-The tap/faucet that controls the water in the shower was in very poor condition and could hardly be turned; it was a big nuisance every time I took a shower.

Also, the room is filled with ants and flies, I could find it anywhere in the room.

A little dated, but adequate

The apartment is on the east side of the city center, about 4km from the Duomo (as roughly the center of the city). It should be a nice walk when the construction along Viale Argonne is complete. Transport is straightforward, with the #54 bus and the #5 tram being the closest, and running frequently. Commuter rail stations Forlanini and Lambrate are nearby as well.

The construction is a bit dated, and the walls are a little thin. Fortunately, my floor was relatively empty my first few days. The elevator is especially dubious, groaning like a whale every time it starts up. In fact, they recommend not using the elevator at night, when no one is at reception, but no one followed that recommendation.

It isn't entirely clear where to go when you arrive for the first time. When they buzz you in at the front gate, you'll walk about 100 meters, first bearing right, and then reception will be down a little hill to your left.

The wifi wasn't working on my floor for the first day and a half (my first full day was a Sunday), but it was fixed Monday morning. The problem was fixed satisfactorily.

Good public transport options to get to Duomo and get to Linate airport (Milan urban fare zone). Front desk works between 8 am and 11.59 am and from 5 pm in evening. Important to let the property know estimated time of arrival via Expedia message. Smooth check in at the reception. Staff polite and friendly and even lent us the adaptor to charge our phones for the stay. Property in a quiet neighbourhood. Clean property in good condition. Property equipped with cutlery, microwave, small kitchenette. Definitely will book the property again for the next visit to Milan.

The IH Hotel Milano is the best. Super accommodations, clean, comfortable, friendly staff and in a quiet residential neighborhood.

However, we will never use Expedia again because of their poor customer service when trying to rectify a billing issue. They would not correct their messaging errors which caused the confusion. Plus they made us call them 5 times from Milano and on the 5th call we were put on hold for 30 minutes! When we asked to talk with a manager, we learned that the representatives actually work for a Philippine call center contractor and do not work for Expedia! Amazing!

We have been a loyal Expedia Gold and Corporate client for over 10 years, but after this horrible experience, we will be taking our business to another on-line service.

5 stars for IH Hotels Milano! 0 stars for Expedia and the poor customer service!

The hotel is fantastic and a great value in the middle of Milan. However, Expedia does a bad job of informing customers that the hotel will do the billing and not Expedia. So, if you plan to pay in advance for someone other than yourself as the guest, if won't work because the hotel requires the credit card used to make the reservation.

Also, it should be noted that Expedia exhibited terrible customer service when trying to rectify the problems we had when reserving and paying for 3 of our company representatives. We learned that Expedia uses a contracted company in the Philippines to handle their customer service and they cannot handle these matters. When asked to talk with a supervisor, they said there were none in their Philippines office and that we would have to contact Expedia in the US by email.

Expedia exhibits poor customer service and although we have utilized their services for over 10 years as a Gold member, we will no longer patronize them.

So IH Hotel Milo is 5 stars! But Expedia is 0 stars!

Hotel stay was average .We use to come to hotel by 11 PM and go away by 7 AM in the morning.
There was few basic stuff missing like hair dryer which I have seen in all of the apartment hotel .

Excellent mini appartment - basically a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and balcony set in a private gated garden. The tram passes and takes you to the centre in 15 minutes. A good area to relax. Less frenetic than the centre and with cheaper restaurants and bars.

Great food in the local area and really friendly shops.

It's okay, not worth the price though

The hotel did not include any amenities like breakfast or coffee but was more than any other hotel on our 16 day vacation. The kids in the apartment behind are very, very loud and the smell of cigarette smoke woke us up very early even though it was not smoking hotel. When checking out, the staff didn't give so much as a hello before shouting the price of our stay from the back office.

For a city as expensive as Milan (at least for accomodation), this hotel is excellent value for money. It's decent, the neighborhood is OK, but there's a train station (not a metro station, be aware) close to the hotel. THe reception works from 07.00 to 23.00 and you cannot check-in or check-out if the reception is closed. Staff is very friendly.

Reasonable place to stay.

There is nothing fabulous or terrible to report about this hotel. It is close enough to the center of the city to walk and enjoy the beautiful buildings, but far enough away to feel like an escape from the touristy area. Very easy to access with public transportation. We were a bit surprised that the \"double room\" we booked only had one large bed, which was not ideal for our family of three, but we managed. We felt that the price was very fair, which makes it great when traveling on a budget. If we could get a second bed next time, we would definitely go back.

Great hotel, great location. Surrounded by personal residences so it feels like a little apartment. Lovely views out both Windows. The shower was awesome! Cute little kitchen. We didn't use it but would've if we were staying longer than two nights. Very clean. Very quiet. We were very comfortable and happy. Would definitely stay there again. Only negative is that there was no metro service but we were able to take a bus to the metro. Loved our stay!

This hotel is not in downtown, but still is convenient because it has bus number 54 less than two block going directly to the Duomo and the touristic places, and it goes every 5 minutes. It has secure parking for about 7 euros per night, and a little kitchen and fridge and it has good space. This is not a luxury hotel, but has all I needed. The bed is a little hard, and the elevator's floor is a little loose, but it is in a good location and has a good views and he internet works well. There is no breakfast, but there are plenty of stores and restaurants, drug stores, bakeries, etc around. It is a little tricky to get in and out because there is a gate and they also lock the lobby door at night. If you are getting there late, call in advance. From the street, use the intercom the button and find \"Reception\" since there are a lot of buttons. The kitchen has some utensils missing like big spoons, forks, so it was a little difficult to use. Front desk staff spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. I would stay at this hotel again. Good experience.

Review for a two week stay

Overall the hotel was O.K. for a long term stay. The bathrooms were run down and there was a lot of dark build up around the showers. I was extremely allergic with the air conditioner running so the ducts are likely very dusty. That being said, it is nice to have your own kitchenette to cook meals, and it was very secure/safe. I think it is good value for what your paying. I stayed in a double room and single room - the double room was almost twice the size and well worth the extra money per night if you are planning a long stay, even by yourself.

It is a Residence, but a Hotel!!

I would say to Expedia: Please, take it off your list!! It was a residence, but Hotel. It was a nine floor building , where my opinion is that just the 8th & the 9th floor working as a Hotel, the rest was rented out. AC was not working, noises , water running, you hear everything all night long. The A/C unit did not work.The worst experience I had which made me to stay woken up all night was that at the 11:00 PM the receptionist went home, nobody on charge and no security. There, You are in the fate's hand! The room's door has a simple key to get looked, no security on the door. My beautiful vacation ended in a scary way.

We were able to easily get to downtown (about 3 miles, but great transportation systems), and only a 15 euro ride (3 plus luggage) to Linate Airport. Hotel in residential area, with plenty of shops and restaurants, but hotel doesn't offer any food, but does have drink and snack vending. Room walls paper thin, so you hear lots of noise.

Free Internet Access In Room Which Worked Well

I chose this hotel due to the Free Internet Access In the Room which worked really well. It was very difficult to find somewhere in Milan close to transport links, at a reasonable rate, offering good quality free internet access (all of them had surcharges or bad connections from reviews) but Residence Biancacroce provided this. The place was extremely clean and the reception staff really friendly. I will be back to stay again here on my next trip to Milan.

This apartment is set amongst residential flats in a gated community. It is not a hotel so do not expect a hotel service (no restaurant, very few staff).The rooms were basic but adequate, the beds were reasonably comfortable, the bathroom was clean and there was a very tiny kitchenette. There is no supplies in the room so make sure you bring your own water, tea and food. The neighbourhood is boring, there is nothing to do and nowhere to go, not even any nice restaurants, you will have to drive to find a decent place to eat. Only stay at this hotel as it is conveniently located near to Linate Airport.

I would definitely stay there again.

Very nice place. The best cost-benefit ever.
Good location: you have to take a bus to the closest subway station, but it is not a big deal (about 7 minutes). The same bus takes you to Duomo in about 10 minutes and the ticket costs €1,50 (valid for 90 minutes, including the subway use).
Many grocery stores around the block.
The Linate Airport is not far and it takes 10 minutes by car (€13 by taxi).
The employees are nice and attentive. The rooms are simple, but clean and have everything you need for a nice stay.
The Internet is free and fast. If you rent a car, there is a parking lot inside and costs €7 a day.

The hotel was a bit difficult to find. As you need to call reception to get through a gate, then walk along a path to find the front desk. But once found it was nice. Quiet neighborhood. I found the hotel excellent value for money, especially considering that Milan tends to be quite an expensive city for hotels. Our room was clean and provided a good amount of storage, which along with the kitchenette where we could prepare some basic meals and store food, meant we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Free wi-fi was also available, which proved handy.

The hotel is in a good location, with the surrounding neighbourhood fairly quiet and some excellent coffee shops, bakeries and ice cream shops close by. It also has good transport links to the city centre - the Amadeo Paladini tram stop is less than five minutes from the hotel and provides a convenient link to the city and the rest of Milan's excellent public transport network.

Overall I found the hotel excellent value and would have no hesitation in staying again.

Hotel close to the Linate airport

We stayed overnight on our way to Barcelona during our transit in Milan. Due to the flight delay, we reached at midnight rather than 2300 hours.
The reception was closed by the desk guy was available to provide us with the keys at the unearthly hour. Although he was not very happy (understandably) to be kept awake he was professional.
We were asked to deposit our Passports for the night which we found bit wierd. However otherwise we have no complaints about the stay.

A Hidden Gem

Although this hotel is off the beaten path, it is truly a wonderful place. Clean, large room, very nice bathroom, small kitchen stocked with everything you need to prepare a quick meal. The hotel staff were great and very quick to help us. Trolley 5 takes you from the central train sation to within a block of the hotel which makes it very easy to transfer to the M to get around town. Great price, great hotel.

But, it is close to nowhere. The only option to train station (airport) is taxi in the early morning. But it is good if you want to experience the local life in Milan.

Good for price for a short break to Milan

Taxi from Milano Linate airport only about 10 minutes away and cost 12.50 euro. Gates closed in the evening so secure, residents are given a key to get in and out.
Went for the Italian Grand Prix & was about 30 mins walk to Milano Lambrate train station where you could catch trains to Monza.
Staff friendly, and spoke varying degrees of english. Maids even folded our PJ's!
Room just right for a short break. Small kitchen with a sink & hob, but fine for a small bit of cooking/heating water in pan for a cappuccino! Utensils were provided along with some cleaning products.
Was grateful for the chilled bottles of water in the fridge on our arrival as it was late evening.
Hotel based in a quiet area, mainly amongst other apartment blocks probably housing the students from the many colleges/universities in the locality.

Enjoyed stay, clean and comfortable. More relaxed than a hotel, apartment style. Set in great gardens with a huge water wheel. Amazing churchbells within earshot. Great room and service. Free wi fi is really handy.

You really feel off the beaten track in with real life Milasians, the surrounding shops and cafes are great. Trolley busy lines nearby direct to city centre.

Would stay again, great easy place to stay.

O quarto apesar de antigo tinha tudo o que precisávamos, tudo muito caprichado, shampoo, sabonete, toca de banho, toalhas e etc. a cozinha é um diferencial, mesmo pequena atende a necessidade. Além disso, a estação de metrô fica muito perto o que facilita demais os deslocamentos na cidade. Recomendo!

Hotel pratique pour un séjour d'une nuit à Milan

Hotel pratique dans une zone à proximité d'une bouche de métro. Vous pouvez laissé votre voiture dans la rue (gratuit) ou dans le parking de l'hotel (10€).
Le mobilier de l'hotel est ancien mais propre et bien entretenu. Simplement, il n'y a pas grand chose pour cuisiner ou pour le petit déjeuner.

Cercano al metro. Instalaciones muy antiguas. La habitación cuatriple en la que estuvimos, justa de espacio y la limpieza regular/ mal.
Camas cómodas. Hay un Carrefour Express a 10 minutos andando.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in! The apartment itself was okay, location also good. However, on first day there were 3 electricity outages - last one happened around 22:40, the reception was already closed despite closing time at 23. So me and few other guests had to spend the night without electricity, we weren’t able to charge phones, cook, use fridge etc. And communication with hotel was just horrible. After 3 electrical outages it was ME who had to ask for another room on another floor. We were given a room, but for 3 days no one cleaned there, even though I talked to reception and they assured me they will clean. I am disappointed with the service provided and especially with communication with management (to this day they have not answered my emails with complaints). Absolutely horrible!

Muy buena recepción por parte del personal, muy atentos en la comunicación previa a la llegada. La habitación muy cómoda, fresca, a 4 estaciones de metro del duomo, comercios cerca. También es fácil aparcar en la zona. Además el cuarto cuenta con una pequeña cocina y un balcón

Ótima estadia!

Tivemos uma ótima estadia. Chegamos fora do horário da recepção, mas entramos em contato, enviamos o dados por msg e recebemos as instruções para a entrada no quarto. Ele é bem confortável, as camas eram boas, tem uma pequena área no quarto com pia, utensílios de cozinha e frigobar, além de um microondas, o que foi ótimo! O prédio do hotel fica mais afastado da rua, pois possui um lindo jardim o que deixa o local bem tranquilo. Apesar de ser mais afastado do centro foi fácil de chegar, por tram.
