Rooms are clean but tired, needs new mattresses, and pillows need renewed, these were awful. Towels were changed daily but also these were needing replaced. Air con is noisey as is the street outside, take ear plugs. Balcony is small but adequate, not somewhere to sit in evening. Hotel in general need of modernising.
Best thing about this Hotel was Maria in the breakfast room, she is a gem, cant do enough for you, kind and so helpful, full of information. Breakfast was limited but for 5 euros thats not a complaint.
Wouldnt stay here again but would pop in to see Maria.

I booked the Relax Inn Hotel as its within walking distance to Bugibba Square and there are plenty of different restaurants and shops to browse and have a snack or meal. The Relax was a nice friendly place and my room was very nice with a lovely balcony to sit out on and enjoy the sun.the aircon was great as it was 30 + degrees during my stay. There were plenty of channels on the tv if you wanted to relax and watch it..I will definitely be booking there again

Awful nights sleep.

Hotel staff was friendly enough. Somewhat helpful, but my stay was terrible had 2 night decent sleep out of 7 can hear everything that goes on in other rooms and people are not quiet there doors slamming all night long. We had very noisey people next to us and opiate us to the point we had to tell them to be quiet ourselves. Then they would come bk and do it all again around 5 am. I went for a break from my busy life and I had a lot less sleep then I normally get some mornings I was up from 4 am. Also beds was terrible to the point I had to ask for blankets just to put on the mattress to make it a little better.

Negatives- room not that clean on arrival and only tidied, not cleaned throughout stay (one day we were out until 4pm and it still hadn’t been cleaned), uncomfortable bed, very thin walls so it was very noisy and we got very little sleep, wifi was patchy, to get hot water in the shower meant the water pressure dropped and was barely a sprinkle

My stay was good, and staff are friendly and very helpful. however the bedroom door was my only problem, it was really difficult to open if I locked it from the inside. Then the same problem trying to get back into the room, others had the same problem with some doors. The hotel is basic yet rooms are newly done up and lovely large walk in showers. Location is perfect and sea view rooms are available. I would stay here again for sure.

Staff were very good and couldn't help enough ,rooms were basic back adequate.

The main problem with the hotel is its closeness to two bars across the street, very noisy which lasts sometimes to the early hours of the morning and one night until 3AM
making it impossible to sleep.

Jammer was dat het zwembad erg vies was. Daar durfden we niet in te zwemmen.

The receptionist was very nice. Rooms were cleaned every day. Location was good.
Rooms are advertised as soundproof. They are not soundproof at all. Why say so when they are not. It would have made no difference if I wasn't expecting this.
Satellite TV was not connected to the satellite. Every day they said they would fix it but they never did.
Drawers were falling off the rails. A little more effort from the owners and this hotel would be a gem.

I genuinely thought this was too good to be true, the room pictured on Expedia looked newly renovated with a big tv and a beautifully appointed bathroom.

I checked in around 1am with the checkin process to be seamless, however thats where the good stopped. The room I was given '505' was like something out of a horror film. Im not opposed to staying in a budget friendly hotel, however, this looked like something that has not been changed or updated since this place opened. The oder of the room left little to be desired and the decor did not help in the slightest. The bathroom was dirty with the toilet bowel being stained. I thought the redeeming factor could be the included air-conditioning, but no, the racket was so loud with the air-conditioning unit, not producing any cooling air whatsoever. The TV was smaller than my iPad and did not seem to turn on.

The moment I had a look around the hotel, I immediately started to look for other hotels in the area and was willing to pay to get out of that room.

I would never trust any 'local/one hotel brand' hotels on Expedia again.

The hotel was easy to find and location was also excellent. Two minutes to the seafront and some great restaurants and bars nearby. A bus stop across the road to Valletta. Five minutes walk to the main bus station and one can practically go anywhere. Last but not least I have to mention Maria who took great care of us all at breakfast time. Her hospitality was second to none. A great asset to Relax Inn Hotel. Her welcoming and friendly personality was one of the warmest I have encountered in many years, and I have travelled a lot. She really does go the extra mile to ensure the guests are happy with there breakfast. Thank you Maria and good luck with everything. Thank you so much for making me so welcome, as a sole traveller it meant a lot.

A nice hotel in the middle of the party area. Sometimes it's noisy around at night.
Rather nice breakfast, but you can try different cuisine in some steps.
Transfer service to the airport is not reliable, though it is not the hotel's fault. Taking taxi is preferred.
Overall, we were satisfied with our staying.

The staff were very helpful! On arrival they gave me and my friend a free upgrade to a seaview room which was amazing! The area was great. The only thing was that the balcony door didn’t lock and the main light switch didn’t turn off and there were a couple of things like this that could have done with fixing. However at the same we didn’t have a lot of money and the hotel was a good price so for the amount we paid for it was decent.

I had no problem with the food and Maria was very helpful. All other staff were ok plus room was cleaned daily. The main problem was the lift kept breaking down and as my wife and I were on the fifth floor it was very stressful having to go up and down the stairs. We are in our 60’s and have our problems. No one seemed at all concerned about the situation.

Staff were excellent. I booked hotel for the pool but it was not in use until May. Room door lock was broken, and balcony door had no lock at all. When I arrived in the afternoon the room was noisy, sounded like works, also furniture being dragged across floor perhaps in other rooms by guests or by cleaners. Hot water in bathroom was not working on arrival and running the tap left the sink full of debris.

Good to get around

Simple hotel but good enough if you want to explore around not stay indoors. Close to the bus station, restaurants, shops, cafe. It's not a fancy place but for the price we paid for Christmas really worthed it. There is also a good cinema close by. From the Airport by bus takes an hour, 30min. to the Ferry boat to Gozo and there are also boat trips organizing by locals.

Easy to get to Valletta or to Sliema. there are quicker busses from the bus station than from Halel street where the hotel is situated. It is worth the little extra walk or take another short bus from the sea front. The hotel is very basic. I book the most economical room so maybe the other rooms have a fridge. However for the low price it is clean and the staff are pleasant.

Staff were wonderful. location was perfect, close to busses and Bugibba Square. The hotel itself is in need of modernisation. the Rooms were quite shabby and the air-con wasn't great.

Overall, can't complain for a cheap hotel, I would stay here again.

Most things like staff, cleanliness, friendliness and attitude of staff are still brilliant on this trip, but this time our balcony door was difficult to open air con system was not working properly had problem with lift (we were on 5th floor)

Fine as a base for a short stay

The Relax is situated on a fairly busy street corner, across the road from a couple of bars which can get quite noisy at night. It is basic, but generally clean. We had clean towels every day and beds were changed once during our 5 night stay. The beds were new and comfortable, but I can't say the same for the rock hard, over stuffed, pillows. The safe in our room wouldn't lock, so we had to carry our valuables with us at all times. The kettle was a travel kettle, which took ages to boil, and there was no tea or coffee provided. On the plus side, there was 24hr hot water and the over the bath shower was adequate. The bath itself had seen better days, with a big brown stain under the taps. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. All in all, it suited us as a base for exploring the island for a few days.

I didn't know what to expect as the price for a week was very good. I was pleasantly surprised. Room was fine. Location was excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental which was very nice. Please don't expect 5* luxury, I tend not to stay in the hotel throughout the day as I like to get out and about, but value for money is outstanding.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

This hotel put my one luggage bag I had with me with all of my belongs in a room that was supposed to me secure and monitored with cameras. When I returned to the hotel to collect my bag it was gone. All of my belongings were stolen and when I asked for them to look at the camera to see what happened to my bag they apologized and said sorry that the sign on the door saying it was being monitored by cameras was just that a sign and that in fact there are no cameras. I spoke with the manager that night and he had nothing to say except sorry. I was left with no personal hygiene supplies and no clothes to wear in a foreign country and no one to take responsibility for what happened to my belongs by far the worst experience ever!!!!

Bit of a poor show all round.

Arrived late at night to check in after booking a twin room. Only given one key and on going into the room found that it had a double bed despite the booking confirming a twin room with two single beds. With the hotel fully booked reception told us we couldn't be moved. Their solution was to put a single bed in the room beside the double bed. I had to assist to bring in a bed frame, put a mattress on it and covers then request towels. We were then however moved to a twin room the following morning which was much better. Not ideal for the first night after arriving late following a days travelling. Also no remote control for the television in either room. There was a kettle and teacups but no tea or coffee!!!

probably the worst hotel i have ever stayed in and i visited over 50 countries in last few years and stayed in hundreds of hotels. extremely noisy at night, in the morning and from the other rooms as well, dirty, very old furniture and equipment, TV was not working, wifi was disconnecting every 30 seconds so it was unusable. the bed was so uncomfortable i couldnt even sleep properly, then i was woken up at 5:30 am from the noise outside. the swimming pool at the roof is a joke, old, dirty, terrible smell from ventilation.... the only good thing about the whole place is its close location to center of Buggiba. BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL or it will ruin your vacation like it did to us!

Die Betten waren leider sehr unbequem, der Lattenrost anfangs teilweise kaputt, dies wurde jedoch sofort repariert.
Die Türen waren total verbogen und verzogen, sodass man sie nur mit lautem Knall ins Schloss ziehen konnte. Dadurch war alles sehr hellhörig und man hörte alles, was auf dem Flur geschah.
Wenn es draußen sehr windig war, ziehte es im Zimmer.
Das Frühstück war in Ordnung und mit der Lage in direkter Nähe zur Promenade hat uns gefallen.

Kurz und knapp: Das Bad verbessert die Bewertung. Dieses ist relativ frisch renoviert und macht einen sauberen Eindruck.

Die Zimmer sind eher spartanisch eingerichtet, und die Matratzen unbequem.
Die Zimmer sind jedoch groß, und man hat Platz seine Koffer auszubreiten.

Den Balkon hatten wir leider in einen Innenhof.
In der Umgebung wurde gerade sehr viel gebaut, somit hatte man teilweise viel Baulärm.

Der Weg zum Strand ist super kurz (max. 5 Minuten zu Fuß) und in der Umgebung gibt es viele Bars und Restaurants, die zim Verweilen einladen.

Das Frühstück ist klein gehalten und an einem Tag hatten wir leider ein schimmliges Brot im Brotkasten, welches am nächsten Tag ausgetauscht war.

Alles in Allem ein guter Aufenthalt, bei dem man aber den niedrigen Preis deutlich gemerkt hat.

Desværre var sengene rædsomme . Fjedrerne generede min ryg. Det var svært at finde en sove position hvor jeg ikke mærkede en fjeder . Der var larm fra gaden . Men det var forventeligt pga weekend . In die Jahre gekommen es Hotel. Die Zimmer waren sauber und freundlich eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war für mich ausreichend, wobei der eine oder andere sicherlich ein größeres Angebot haben möchte. Das Personal beim Frühstück war sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit, wenn es Frage gab. Für uns wurde extra früher Frühstück bereit gestellt, da wir sehr früh zum Flughafen mussten.

The room was basic, the position was great, it was everything as expected in terms of those conditions.
Let’s get to the appalling part. After the first day we found a big cockrouch in the bathroom and luckily I was fast enouch to kill it with my slipperies. I got downstairs to ask explanations to the receptionist and I was met with laughs and inappropriate comments like “it’s normal” “I see them too in my apartment” and so on. Of course no one did not want to check my room to see if there are others. Imagine, I had to beg him to lend me a broom to remove the dead animal myself. What kind of hotel is it? Where is the service? Basically, I was lucky to have killed it alone and fast, if not I would have slept with the cockrouch whole evening and more 😂
I asked to change the room for an upper floor and of course the guy did not write anything for the receptionist of the day before (he told thousands time he would). Of course, they did not change the room and the day after the other receptionist laughed at me again with comments like “it was not that big, I have seen of bigger size”. Believe me, it was big. Anyway disturbing comments.
I had to wait 2 additional days to first hear from a receptionist “I am sorry for the inconvenience”. I had to write myself on a paper in my room to the cleaning staff to not open windows when cleaning (cockroaches came from the bathroom window which we kept close) because the hotel staff was useless.

The property is located very close to shops, restaurants and the seafront. It is located less than 10 minutes walk from the bus station and the very convenient Wileg station.
The bathroom was new and functional, the room was on average new and large. On the terrace of the room there was no drying rack and the chairs were not very clean.
The roof terrace has a beautiful view, the swimming pool is small but is equipped with a toilet and shower. The very kind and friendly staff satisfied our every need and provided all kinds of information. A special greeting to Rachele, Maria and all the staff.

Rengøringen på værelset er helt som den skal være, men der er meget larm ude fra vejen om aftenen. Poolen er ret lille og vandet var ret beskidt. Rengøringen på gangene på hotellet er ikke til stede og hele hotellet er meget slidt

Hotel essenziale con tutti i principali servizi nei pressi di San Paul Bay. Purtroppo la scarsa coibentazione faceva sentire tutti i rumori della strada sottostante. Buono il bagno. Colazione modesta in una sala angusta. Personale comunque gentile. Prezzo giusto.

Aceptable para pasar un día

Baño renovado, pero las paredes no estaban muy limpias, tipo de haber matado mosquitos.
Habitación normalita,tampoco se puede pedir mucho más para lo que cuesta, así que para hacer una noche es más que suficiente.
Ésta muy bien situado y en los alrededores, al menos en el mes de octubre, encuentras sitio para aparcar.
