Very nice hotel, easy parking in January although busy at weekends, Sea view room on 5th floor. Sockets by bedside, both sides. Choice of three resteraunts plus bar with coffee, cakes and drinks.Although buffet dinner is dependant on the hotel having enough guests or it is closed. Good acces for disabled except indoor pool as there is no lift and a significant starcase. Acess woul need to be had by travelling outside and having the emergancy exit opened for disabled access. overall good value hotel in nice location near Salini nature reserve, good for a nice walk. Launderette also available at a cost, coins only. Small games room for kids with arcade games is a nice touch as is the onsite gift shop. Would recommend winter stay.

I have stayed here quite a few times over the years and this hotel is great value for money in a good location for travelling around the island. The staff are very professional and do there upmost to make your stay enjoyable, the breakfast is exceptional and great value for money. Highly recommend you stay here if visiting Malta.

Had a brilliant 3 night stay at the resort, really enjoyed. Had sent an email of praise to the staff for the wonderful service. Would definitely go back again..

Have reached out via the same email to a member of staff *Reservations Executive to advise of a few issues noticed during the stay. Tables during breakfast not being cleared away quick enough and not being wiped down sadly. Steam room didn't work and the jacuzzi performance was poor. Loose floor short blocks in the spa.

A good thorough deep clean needed of an absolutely stunning hotel *pool sun loungers, lift mirrors, our room at least on the 5th floor and balcony eating area.

Room and staff all good, food great, but I have one complain and a suggestion. The complaint is about the coffee machines, not reliable at all, now it's working, come next person out of order, after a few minutes back on again, I also suggest you put a boiler for those who want just hot water so not to waste time in the queue, just for hot water

Like: excellent breakfast; nice pools; friendly staff and helpful; restaurants were various with good food; ocean view was wonderful.
Concerns: Adjacent to a large garbage dump and when the wind blows from land to ocean, you know it...the smell is unbearable; The power and AC in the room is controlled by a motion detector, and so, if you exit the room, all power is shut off including to those items you wish to charge in your absence, and the AC shuts off overnight...a continual \"battle\" with AC and energy supply; all sites of interest are not conveniently located to the hotel; the beach is across a 4 line road to the north of the hotel and is accessible only by a steep flight of stairs; the cheapest taxi ride anywhere was 20 euros, and is typically 25-30 euros.

Would not hesitate to recommend the property if it was not right beside a dump. The smell was so bad we could notveat breakfast on the patio. This is a shame because the resort was very nice and the breakfast was very nice. Will not recommend this resort with the smell.

I have spoken to 4 people already before this email (1 receptionist at C. 3pm on the 22nd, another receptionist at c. 2am on the 23rd, another receptionist at check out and (reservation executive) at check out.

But I will provide a timeline here

22nd c. 14:30:
Check in and go to room where we notice the bathroom floor is flooded, I dry it using our towels and also doing this notice the floor is filthy. The cleaner is still on our floor so I swap the wet dirty towels for fresh ones.

22nd c. 15:00:
Go back to the bathroom and it's flooded again. I go to reception and tell her the situation, she basically didn't listen to me and told me \"we will send someone to deep clean it and investigate the leak\" I explain my cousin is getting married and I am a groomsman so I am needed in his room to film getting ready with the videographer at 15:30 but she did not really seem to care and repeated the same suggestion - I didn't have time to debate so said OK.

22nd 15:25:
I leave the room and my girlfriend is still there until just after 17:00 - nobody shows up in this time to clean or check the leak.

23rd c. 02:00:
Wedding goes until after 2am and we return to the room to find our bathroom is like a swimming pool. I go back to reception and take the receptionist back to the room to show him the state of the bathroom. He calls house keeping despite me asking only for towels because I want to sleep.

Housekeeping finally leaves.

This was my second stay at Salini Resort this summer, and once again it was a beautiful experience! This time I came with my sister, and we both enjoyed every moment. I would like to give a special thank you to the staff for being so attentive and accommodating with my request to have the same (or similar) rooms as my previous stay — it made the visit feel extra special and familiar. The resort never fails to impress, from the stunning surroundings to the welcoming atmosphere. Looking forward to returning again soon!

Outdoor pool is quite deep for young kids. Small beach out front is nice.

Lovely hotel, staff were very friendly with our two children.
Shame there's not anything within walking distance though for those who like an evening stroll. Wasn't an issue for us as we had a hire car.
We ate at Guiseppes which was very nice and also the Italian pizza restaurant which was really good value for money.
The pools were lovely.
Games room-pool queues needed replacing as tips had gone on all of them, we still managed to play though 😁
We would be very happy staying there again, great for families.

After reading some reviews we didn't know what to expect, but I can certainly say we had no issues with the resort.

Very clean comfortable rooms and common areas, Great choice for dining and drinking. The resort has two pools which were clean and tidy.

We enjoyed the \"Lagoon Pool\" more as the bar was open and it was generally a quieter, more relaxed vibe. The bar tenders made some absolute smashing cocktails, really delicious stuff.
The Spa is well worth a look too, we had the couples massage early doors and felt so relaxed for the remainder of our stay, the girls really know their stuff.

The gift shop stocks everything you need including snacks, drinks, sun creams and all the cosmetics / toiletries should you need them. The lovely lady in the shop was always happy and smiling. As were majority of the staff at the resort.

The only downsides to the area was the landfill nearby, but to be honest, it really wasnt that bad, they're capping it with soil so I am guessing the smell wont be an issue at all soon. We only got the odd smell on occasion and didn't detract from our stay. There is a fair bit of traffic noise but due to the infrastructure in Malta I don't think its a local issue, having said that our ocean view room was very soundproof so had no issues with the noise.

The beds were huge and very comfortable, air conditioning worked well and had all the amenities we needed in the room.

We will definitely recommend and will be returning 100%

The hotel is out of St Paul’s, you have to taxi everywhere as there is no accessible footpath. I tried calling for room service several times and had no response. Hotel is tired and the pillows felt like they were inflated and very uncomfortable. There is a small beach, however, there is a very busy road between the hotel and the beach. Land fill just behind hotel, which you can smell at certain times. We will not be returning to Malta.

The negatives:
* I requested a ground floor room due to disability well in advance, I received an email to say \"noted\", this was denied on checking in and I was put on the 5th floor.
* I was told i had been upgraded for free, but i was not upgraded at all.
* I was not given the free bottle of wine i was promised.
* I asked how to use the AC but was told it was switched off in the hotel and only the heating was on. I was promised a Fan instead but that was never given to me.
* The room was too warm, I had a balcony sea view room but i could not sit on the balcony or even have the door open due to the awful stench from the landfill site behind the hotel.
* I was only given one bottle of water in the whole 4 days i was there.
* I left the sign on the door for the room to be cleaned, the bedding wasn't changed and rubbish left behind.
* The noise from the main coastal road below is horrendous at weekends, non stop motorbike noise.

The Check in process was very low key but we were never approached with that welcome smile that is always welcome when checking in.
The room was very spacious and clean. It has a nice decor.

The breakfast…. What can I say. The worst breakfast I ever had in a 4 star hotel. Choice is very restricted and it was not so busy. The bread rolls were so hard and it was obvious they were not fresh at all. The sausages were also evidently reheated over and over again and were so hard to chew. Maltese pastizzi were as cold as ice and the chef should know better that these should be served warm.
Overall the breakfast was a huge disappointment and I would not be going back. There are better 4 star hotels on the island that give you better value for money and better breakfast

The staff were exceptional especially reception & concierge.
They did seem to be restricted by policies from above.
The hotel had exceptional rooms for some of our time we had a pool room which was lovely, great views but not heated. I only used once it was very cold.
If we had know we would have booked a hot tub room to get better use of the facilities.
To arrive we had executive room but no bath which was requested and pics showed a bath. I don’t use a shower and room couldn’t be changed that was disappointing but short term.

Nice self-standing resort in a quiet area. The quality of food was excellent, as were the cocktails and the staff by the adult only pool. The front desk staff did the minimum possible to help and made you feel like an inconvenience, which was the only negative service we experienced in Malta. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained, and while not particularly close to anywhere, is an easy taxi ride to everywhere. Be aware that it isn't possible to get food (other than dessert) at the hotel between 4 and 6pm.

For anyone thinking of booking however make sure you book a sea view as the view from the back of the hotel is really not good, all the beauty of this hotel is at the front. I also had the company of a large cockroach in my room, not exactly a welcomed guest!

We have stayed here a number of times, it is a large local hotel and they do cater weddings and events. Sometimes they do have large groups of students and large groups from France and Germany. Please dont let that put you off. The hotel is vast and the staff are well equipt to deal with all of this seemlessly. We always feel comfortable and welcome and enjoy our stay. There are two outdoor pools and one is adults only. There is a spa with an indoor pool which also has sea views. There are 4 restaurants so you have a great choice of where to eat. Located across the bay from St Pauls and Buggiba you do need to get the bus or use the hotel shuttle or taxi to get out and about. But the buses are cheap, reliable and have AC. Unless you have trouble walking its a great location, quiet with stunning sea views, you could spend an entire week in the hotel and not see it all! I would highly recommend this hotel.

Some areas of this hotel is nice but then others with issues. The room was shabby with stains and some of the staff where just rude. There should be an area of the pool that should not allow smoking. How can you relax when you have to breath on someone else’s smoke it’s rude and a health issue. Rather disappointed in the place.

Very clean ambient and rooms and highly attentive staff. However the number of English language students running about is not conductive to a 4* hotel. There was a lot of banging and running noises and the room above us sounded like a herd of elephants. In addition day visitors to the pool hogged most if the sunbeds. Again not conductive for a 4 * hotel. These bring the quality level down.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at the Salini Resort.
We had a sea view room which was extremely clean, spacious and quiet.
The bathroom was stocked with good quality toiletries and the bed was superbly comfortable. Tea and coffee were provided and were also very good.
We had the buffet breakfast which offered a wide range of hot and cold foods, breads, cereal, fruit, etc
But overall, what makes this place is the staff. Absolutely every member of staff we encountered were pleasant, polite and so helpful. In particular, a delightful young lady called Prisca on the reception desk who was so efficient and kind.
I will definitely go back to this hotel and I strongly recommend it.

The hotel is in a beautiful open space which says alot for malta. The hitel is very clean, rooms spacious with tea/coffee, toilettries, slippers and robes. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff throyghout the hotel were always at hand to help. The hair salon was fantastic too. I would recommend a car even though its not too far from St Pauls Bay. The infinity pool is brilliant. There is a smell sometimes from the tip but wirth staying here.

The property was unable to provide our room at the check in time of 3pm. (The time was critical for us as we needed to prepare for evening arrangements.) When I asked the Manager to explain why he couldn't manage to have the rooms ready in time for arriving guests - he told me that he didn't need to explain it to me. When I suggested some options (that were probably correct) - he decided I was rude and if I didn't like it he would provide a refund and I could leave. (This was not a fair or reasonable options - since I had travelled from the other side of the world and other accommodation in the area was most likely booked out).

As a result of this interaction - my stay at the resort was not enjoyable.

I paid to relax at a resort not a daycare. I would not reccomend the hotel at all due to the fact that the students are not monitered. They are extremely loud run down the halls, play with the elevator. Which makes it hard to go up to go to destinations.There needs to be a more secluded area for the kids to roam around and an active chaperone!! I understand kids are kids and of course they want to have fun and play with their friends, but there are paying customers who want to have a peaceful time.

Salini Resort it's a great luxurious structure on the coast, with great view on the sea and on the town on the other side of the bay, and provided with pools, shops and all conveniences.

When I was there they added real plants to all the corridors of the 1st floor, the magares take they're work really seriously with costant improments and ideas.

The people are very polite and respectuf, and they are alway at your disposal to find what you need and explain you about the islands.

Salini Resort is overall a great place to stay. All the staff are exceptional and friendly. We were only able to try one of the restaurants and the food there was also fantastic. The place itself is very clean. The only cons are that the room was extremely warm during the day and night, and when requesting for air conditioning they advised that the AC had been turned off for the season as it was cold at night. During the day it was between 23 to 25 degrees and the room felt very stuffy and hot, even at night. They gave us a fan but it did not really make our sleep and overall stay in the room any more comfortable, especially for our baby. Personally, if the AC is turned off for the season this should be advised at the time of booking as this would have been a deciding factor for us with our baby. Lastly the TV did not work the entire time during our stay which is fine as we were not planning to watch TV but would still have been nice especially for our toddler at times. Family garden view room is overlooking sort of a field not garden, and some construction and buildings. Though we overall enjoyed our stay, we will most likely try somewhere else next time in Malta.

Had a bizarre problem for check-in as my booking was not registered at the hotel.

This resulated in a 1 hour delay for check-in. Which was unpleasant to say the least.
Don't onow if it was an error from Hotels com or from Salini resort.

Apart from that it is a very nice resort , with good amenities, very nice outdoor and indoor pools.

Started on the wrong foot but ended up running 😉

First day was kind of a let down, the room had no tv working, then maintenance staff spent more then 1 hr in the room. Then they shifted room because the cable wasn't working, n'we ha to move our clothes after dinner at Giuseppie's (which was very nice).
The new room had no extra armchair and no phone. Then the safe was not working.
Anyway after all this, we contacted reception several times, and they offered a free meal from vecchianapoli which was also very nice.
Then we were offered also a free night to compensate for the first night.
All in all it was handled very professionally.
So thumbs up for the management.

Nice hotel but organisation could be better

A mixed review. Lovely hotel and very personable staff. Partcular Kudos to the receptionist Hilde who check us in and did her best to resolve the issues. I went with my wife for a pre Valentine over night. Hotel and room were lovely. We wanted to use the pool and spa but were told we needed to book. First available slot was at 12 the next day, and hour after check out. The hotel kindly let us have a 2pm checkout but it left us with nothing to do on our arrival. Next the hotel has two restaurants. The one restaurant was booked up for the next 3 days. The other restaurant we were told after much debate only had a 6.30 booking. So we took that. Excellent food.

We tried in vain to order breakfast to our room being told the restaurant was expecting 300 covers so they didn’t have the staff to do room service, so we skipped breakfast.

Better management organisation required and regarding the dinner restaurants, maybe prioritise hotel guests over outside bookings.

Salini we will be back

Great stay. Initially had a problem with our room which lost all power. Hotel was nearly full to capacity. Also had a 2 hour delay in checking in as short staffed due to sickness and Covid so they was behind on room cleaning (wasnt a problem as we all should understand this is worldwide)

Reception where great. Very apologetic.

In the end we had an upgrade and the Manager came out to personally speak to me. At no point did I ask for anything from them and when I spoke to reception it was all pleasantries and calm adult talking

Manager offered me a few options and I went with the room upgrade (but it wouldnt be till the next day as hotel was full) Not a problem.

I think because of the way we talked about the situation and my understanding is why I was surprised with the next part.

On changing rooms the next day I was amazed at our new Executive Suite.

Huge bedrooms, Living room, Kitchen, Ensuite Bathroom, shower and Bath. Proper Coffee machine with all the Pods, Breakfast, Slippers and Robe and 3 Balcony's.

One of the balconys was the same size as the room with amazing views out at sea and the pool. 4 sun loungers. A 6 seater patio set and a Dining Table out side. Outdoor lights and plants too

So yes very grateful and happy. And a reminder to all Travellers that whenever you stay somewhere and you have issues......don't kick off! Talk like adults. Hotels and Staff don't go out thier way to give u a bad experience, things happen

I booked 5 rooms for a family stay. The hotel was ok but the facitilites were not great. The kids games room had pretty much nothing, the pool could only be used by kids at certain times and then in those times was completely packed so we did not even bother with it. The wifi kept cutting out which was very frustrating.

Fantastic view of St.Paul's bay and the hotel is one of the best we have visited.Large rooms with a nice private balcony.The only negative would be the traffic noise from the road,motorbikes can be especially loud at night.

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights. We paid for a sea view room and instead we only got part of the sea view and the rest was looking into a restaurant in front of our room. When we arrived at the hotel, we took the lift to our floor and were greeted by a horrendous smell on the entire floor and in our room. We requested the hotel staff to change our room and were told that it would be changed the next day. When we asked the following morning, we were told it would be changed tomorrow. Having already asked twice for our room to be changed, the staff made no further effort to contact us to change our room. The room itself was mediocre and by no means what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. There was mould all around the shower basin. The flooring in the room was tiled and hence we could hear a lot of noise of chairs being moved around from other rooms next to us and above us. Furthermore, we used the indoor hotel spa facilities (pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room). We were extremely disappointed because the pool had cloudy dirty water and the sauna and steam room were not working at all. The jacuzzi only partially worked. Furthermore, I asked the bar staff to put my own ice pack in their freezer and I would come and collect later. The man at the bar was extremely rude to me and refused my request and then ignored me as I continued talking.
Overall, an extremely disappointing stay and will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Perfect hotel for a few days relaxing in the sun. Fantastic facilities and lovely modern room. Only down side is that a taxi ride is necessary to get to restaurants and bars.

We had booked a room described as having a 'tub/shower' combination. We just a had a shower. This was quite disappointing as we chose hotels on the basis there is a tub. When we brought the issue up with management, they were able to provide us with a satisfactory solution. However, I would advise you confirm with them in advance, as you may be stuck with the wrong room.

Overall, we had a standard double room which was clean and the bed was comfortable. We rented a car and were always able to find parking space on the hotel grounds (we did go off-peak however, during the May bank holiday).
