Bed was comfy and everything thing else from when we arrived to when we left staff were friendly.

Only thing that makes me not give 5 was the breakfast. Everything was empty and took a long time for everything to be topped up and I feel like this should be topped up more often

Very poor with regards the staffing levels. Two, very young females looking after reception, the bar and serving food. This led to long delays

The food i ordered took ages despite the ladies saying its next to come out. When i got it (a simple Pepperoni Pizza) it was under cooked and the base was very doughy and wet.

After call to the hotel I was told the room was in the middle of hotel near the lift, this was in correct after checkin. Also the sink press down plug was faulty and could not be fixed
at night send could not be sorted next morning. We were offered a gesture of good and i am awaiting . The toast machine worked ok. There was no apples for breakfast.

The room was advertised at over 400 sq ft with a roll in shower. The room was half the size. The first person I raised with said it was correct and the room was indeed over 400 sq ft. Then when I raised it with expedia the hotel lied to them and said they had spotted the mistake and moved me - they had not. Then I spoke to the manager who assured me it was just a mistake on expedia and they would come back to me and make sure the listing was changed. A week and a half after my stay and raising all of this I have heard nothing of consequence back and the listings (just checked it) still states over 400 sq ft and a roll in shower (also not true)

From the moment I walked in I regret booking this place .The reviews from previous people were ok and I decided to book the place. For the very first time ever I felt unsafe and worried parking my car there at night .The staff were very nice but they had no presence around so sitting around the bar felt unsafe .We were approached by someone wearing a hoodie inside trying to sell us perfumes. The soundproofing in the room was shocking, kept wake by the footsteps of people above us ,we could hear them moving around . The breakfast was cheap stuff and with that sort of crowd I felt I was at McDonald's. Bad experience, felt relieved when I left the place

Lovely stay, friendly staff and modern facilities. Clean gym. I believe the hotel should be rated higher than 3*s.
Pillows not quite to my comfort and quilt is a little limp but this really didn't impact my stay that much. Shower could be a bit more powerful too.
Finally, breakfast needs to be replenished and tables cleared faster.

The member of staff at check in (on 23.10.25) was extremely helpful as our room required to be changed. He telephoned to make us aware ahead of our arrival and dealt with everything professionally when we arrived to check in. Thanks to him our experience was very good and we thanked him for that. The food was all ideal and the room was clean, comfortable, safe and quiet. Would be happy to stay here again.

The shower flooded the bathroom floor, the drain was blocked. Water was flowing in to the bedroom area. We had to go to reception to get extra towels to mop up the water and to place on the floor so that we would not slip on the floor and to unblock the drain ourselves which was not very pleasant. Reception did say we should have called & they would have got maintenance, bit difficult when you’re soaking wet and very tired.

Disappointing Superior Room

Check-in was quick and staff friendly.
I was given a top floor room and first impression was it was big and had a nice looking shower room (no bath).
When I started to look round the room, I noticed the net curtain at the window had a stain. The tea & coffee area was definitely not up to standard, the tray had dust, the kettle and glasses needed cleaning and the wall at the back was not clean.
The shower looked great, but lacked water pressure.
The cooked breakfast was again below standard, the hash brown was the worst I've had in any hotel. The orange juice was almost clear water.
When I tried to check out, no staff on the desk, so I just left the key card on the desk and walked out.
All in all not a great stay and definitely not worth paying a premium price.

This hotel is on a service park and rather isolated but near a major road junction. Receptionist very friendly and helpful. Our accessible room was ok, clean but sparsely furnished. The hotel felt rather soulless. Breakfast was supposed to be available until 10am. We arrived at 9.30 most of the hot items were missing and not replaced. There was nobody around to ask for replacements. Very disappointing. I must say that our previous stay at this hotel was much better.

My DD went into the shower but the plug hole had some sort of blockage, water seeped out from under and the door side. It was about 6 cm deep. She couldn't open the door as room would have flooded. The phone in the room was not plugged in as no socket. I ended up going down. Someone came but was like I can't go in there. Room was changed as DD was still wet and needed to wash products of. They had to split up so both girls had to go in one room, twin and I into another. Upon check out not even asked if stay was good as it said 100% satisfaction guaranteed which it clearly was not. Just took the keys, no eye contact as staff had been told issue with the room. Not even a Good morning. Rudeness. Caused issue for my DD so was up a fair bit into the night with her. Don't stay there. Also emailed them but no response

Room was very very dusty and the shower was dirty with limescale, we arrived and straight away got stuck in the toilet in the room due to a known fault, maintenance were quick to arrive and get the door open, said they would fix it the next day but didn’t. The buffet breakfast was ok but food was not replenished quickly at all and plates were dirty as well as the cups. Staff were pleasant enough and the room was sufficient, comfy bed and good wee fridge, air conditioning was good also. Plenty parking available too.

A pleasant experience!

I recently travelled to Preston to attend my master’s degree graduation ceremony with my daughters . We spent one night in an apartment somewhere in Preston. This apartment was booked on another platform. We left earlier than scheduled,because we didn’t like the place . Fortunately.i visited Hotel.com in our desperation to leave the apartment due to its filthy state ,and thank God that there was an available room at Hampton by Hilton .

It was indeed a great experience! Marcella’s hospitality was top notch . She made us feel at home . She ensured that we were we happy during our stay Another staff called Fatima was extremely pleasant and hospitable. She was happy to help whenever we needed it. However, a particular female staff was somewhat rude and dismissive. Overall , it was a pleasant experience and I look forward to staying in this hotel in future.

I had a great stay at the Hampton by Hilton. My room was excellent, it had great facilities such as air con, a SMEG fridge and kettle and a seating area in the room which was good. I liked the floor to ceiling window over looking the lake but it could do with a clean. The breakfast wasn’t great, there was no cutlery, the juice machine was “Out of order”, there were no sausages left and the bacon seemed steamed. I fellow guest was complaining about the pastry selection and the chef said their oven had been broken for over three weeks. If the breakfast issues not have occurred I would have give the hotel a top rating.

The hotel is modern with reasonable facilities and the rooms are comfortable. Breakfast on this occaision was especially poor. The buffet was extremely poorly maintained, there were no pastries or croissants, no fruit. The hot food was not restocked, as vegetarians the menu is already limited, poor quality scrambled eggs, no tomatoes beans or mushrooms and the potatoes were cold. There was a clear absence of staff. In the past vegetarian sausages were offered.Tables are not cleared away. Staff should be visible during breakfast to ensure the buffet is stocked. The defence will no doubt be, it's a free breakfast, but the costs are of course covered by what is charged in the room rate.

Its the little things

It was excellent and one of the nicest I have stayed in for the money. 1 small thing at the end which made me a little frustrated. upon checking out and waiting for the breakfast I could see there was no tomato's left. I looked around the corner and could see one of the chiefs leaning against the drinks unit chatting to the reception ladies whilst they worked away. When very politely asked the gent (Dyed Red hair) if there was any more and he slowly pushed himself off the unit whilst rolling his eyes as if I was an inconvenience and getting in the way of him chatting to the ladies. He proceeded to say I will see what I can do and disappeared for 5 minutes then finally came out of the kitchen and serving them into the bowl. He didn't acknowledge me or say there you go sir, just poured them and walked away. Its the little things in service that stick with customers, up until this point my experience had been fine and everyone was very pleasant and a real peaceful environment.
