The bed was itchy and very uncomfortable and it had a huge bulge in the centre.

The shower took over 20minutes to warm up and the tiles were hanging off the wall.

The jug of water in the gym had a layer of stagnant film across it and mould growing as it had been there so long.

The menu options were limited as the majority of it was not available.

The photos online are a lot better than the actual building.

I had stayed in this hotel last year, now under new management. The room was good, the food was good, the price was good, the staff very helpful & friendly, lots of space in the hotel. I did not make use of any facilities (I don't in any hotel). The place seemed to be rather empty and lacked atmosphere, hopefully that will come as the new team work the hotel up. I would stay here again.

A steady clean hotel away from the hustle of the city centre. The staff were super friendly, special mention to Kiran on the check in desk.
The room was tight for space but as it was only a one night stay that was perfectly acceptable. The bed was really comfy. The only thing I would knock it for would be there was a lot of dust around the TV area.
The gym area looked neat and tidy, I didn’t use them as I’d used a gym in the city prior to arrival. The restaurant area had a nice feel to it even though there were few guests. I ordered a steak burger with chips and a drink, came to approx £23 which was reasonable. Breakfast was everything you’d expect from a buffet style breakfast. A selection of hot and cold food and drinks including continental style.
Overall a comfortable stay and I would stay again.

Clearly the hotel has been just taken over, and it felt like the new people weren't quite up to speed. A couple of times it took a while for staff to eppear when needed.

The buffet breakfast on Saturday morning was very bad for this and a group of us had to wait quite a while for food to turn up. Sure: it's a busy time, but part of the job here is to anticipate and deal with demand.

I also didn't get on with the mattress and struggled to sleep.

Really nice hotel, we checked in early and Kiran sorted out finding us a room that was available so we didn't have to check in later on when we got back in.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was great with Claire making sure we were well looked after.

We stayed overnight to attend the Liverpool parade. The check in process was quick and easy. The bathroom could have been cleaner. It was a little dark in the room due to limited lighting. The bed was very comfortable. Parking is included so that was very convenient. We would stay again.

A very friendly hotel

Easy to find as there are brown road signs directing you in . Parking was great right by the door, on a cool wet day , always a bonus . This is one friendly hotel , the staff are just lovely , always saying hello when you walk past and with a smile too . This is a clean fresh hotel , everything is brand new within , with some improvements to the exterior too ( always looked a bit agricultural when you drove past in the past ) . The food we had was excellent and bar service spot on too . The room was warm , comfortable and quiet ( unlike a couple of guests who let their door slam after midnight and then again at 645 too 🙄) . The only minor gripe is the price of the excellent food ( £16 for a margarita pizza and £22 for a curry with sides) and the bar prices were a little steep at £7.30 for a pint of Guinness. That said there is nothing nearby , so you are a captive audience to the said pricing structure . I didn’t let that spoil my stay as we were off to a wedding nearby , and there prices were much the same. A recommended hotel stay , and would return without question in the future .

We booked months in advance with Hotels.com When we arrived there was no booking details for us! So they created a booking - just a good job it wasn’t full otherwise what would we do? Then there was no heating on in the room, and the shower was cold! The bed was uncomfortable and then in the morning we arrived for breakfast in plenty of time but they were only taking orders and no buffet breakfast available! Sadly, pretty poor all round for a booking made well in advance!

No Access To Room!

A poor experience due to room access not working. I went back and forth to reception at least 4 times and quite late but the entry key system had failed and so in the end I had to be let into my room with a physical master key and was left without a working card entry system. In the morning, the main hotel door was also not working! The got in duty said he would seek a discount for me and I believe some compensation on the rate that I paid would be a reasonable thing to do. So far, no contact or confirmation of any refund from the staff since my stay…

Needs more staff , one dedicated to running food and table service, and one bar person , as a bare minimum.
Hotel has been done up nicely awaiting to be an IHG hotel.

Ample free parking; friendly staff; poor room facilities. TV did not work even with remote replaced. Shower leaked through glass screen. Only one bath & hand towel left for 2 adults; bathroom basin did not drain well. Room very dark with poor lighting even with lamps. Need of repaint and decoration. Chef ill so restaurant closed. Only one night stay so didn’t pursue complaining.

Plenty of parking, pleasant reception, easy check in experience. Lift not working during our visit. Our room was clean, and had an iron, hairdryer and kettle. Unfortunately the only full length mirror was cracked from one side to the other and taped, one of the hand towels was really badly stained and the bottom of the bathroom door and architrave had peeling paint. Restaurant area was very plush and clean. Breakfast was buffet style with basic options, hash browns chewy from being kept warm, coffee lukewarm. We purchased coffee from the bar the previous afternoon and this was good, served by a friendly member of Staff. We had an enjoyable stay here and would recommend the Hotel.

We stayed here one night, Staff were helpful, there were one or two issues which could have been attended to in the room before we arrived e.g kettle leaked, curtain hanging off hooks, soap dispenser in the bathroom not working. Even though our stay was in August it was colder outside than expected for the time of year and was not particularly warm in the room and there was no heating at all in the room. Food was good but very limited menu. The lounge area and dining area were comfortable, the room was clean but felt there were one or two things which could have been dealt with before arrival.

It was a comfortable stay. The room was clean but some redecoration needed. The food in the restaurant was limited in the evening with no real healthy options and we waited a while though an apology was offered. The breakfast buffet had limited options unless a cooked breakfast was offered, and as we were eating at the start of the last hour of service some of the food options must have been there a while.
All the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. There were plenty of car park spaces. We would stay again if we needed to, and would recommend to others depending on requirements.

The lift wasn't working, we were on the top floor. Lots of stairs and much to carry from the car. The staff when we checked in helped to carry some of the gear to the room but the staff in the morning, despite being asked, didn't help until all but some jackets had been carried down the stairs. Really quite annoying and disappointing.

Modern if characterless hotel where everything is just nice, nothing outstanding. Dinner was order at the bar from a limited menu but food was good, service less so with only one guy doing everything. He was less-than-content and let it show. Room was cold but otherwise comfortable, with everything I needed for 1 night. In a word: adequate.

Beds comfy, pillows terrible. We had a very dark room which made it difficult when getting ready. Bathroom took an extremely long time to de-mist, bathroom requires attention as a whole. Housekeeping entered the room prior to checkout time without much notice, awkward for both parties.
Only stayed due to location as attended a wedding nearby. Wouldn’t return unfortunately

Lovely staff and room clean. I got a good deal for a one night stay, but my room was at the back of the hotel on a corner against bushes and trees and got no sunlight. It was dark and cold, I had to turn the radiator on as it also felt damp. The restaurant was closed for a couple of nights, so no food available. The breakfast was OK, but if I stayed again I wouldn't bother, it wasnt worth the money. Overall if I got the same deal I would use again, it was better than one if the big chain Prem/Lodge places as the rooms were a better standard.

Nice comfortable hotel, clean and quiet. Plenty of car parking spaces. Ordered room service for dinner as was told there was a big party arriving for the restaurant. Only down fall from the stay was at 8.30am there was virtually no breakfast items left, except stale bread/pastries. Guess you better get up earlier if you want a full english!

Carpet iñ the room was dirty and clearly hadn't been vacuumed before or during my stay. Had a meal in restaurant first night and moved the unused cutlery and napkin to one side. Sat at same table following night and cutlery and napkin were still exactly as left previous night, along with small sauce spillage. Floor was not swept either. If this is the cleaning regime front of house I dread to think what the kitchen might be like.
Place doesn't appear to have been updated in the last 20 years. Bathrooms are OK but some rooms need some good maintenance.

Room was cold, light bulbs had blown, remote for the heating did not work.
Had to pay a £25 pre authorisation fee even though I said I’d be paying for my food and meals and not booking them to my room. The £25 would then be credited back to my account 3 days after my departure!!!!!!
I’m guessing it was the duty manager that I spoke to and was told “not my idea, it’s policy” she then went on to tell me that all hotels do this.
Menu in the bar was different to the one in the room and had very little choice, ordered a burger with potato wedges but when my meal came it was with fries. I pointed out the error to be told “the menu is wrong and this is what it is now”. No apology. On the 2nd night the menu had changed again but even less choice. Ordered chicken with chunky chips & onion rings, it came with fries and no onion rings. I pointed this out and the food and beverage manager changed the fries for chunky chips but I was told they had run out of onion rings, I said that if the meal wasn’t complete then I shiver a reduction in the price only to be told very bluntly NO.
Buffet style breakfast was like warm at best with little choice.
Bar staff were good and help but the management are terrible and unhelpful.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS - TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND CUSTOMER RELATIONS.

The hotel is a 15 minute drive from the centre of preston.... the lobby is modern and clean and the reception staff friendly. Our room was a good size freshly painted and clean, free wifi a bonus.
We were disappointed to find the restaurant and fitness suite closed when we arrived, we should have been informed before we got there as we planned on using these facilities and the main reason we chose the hotel. There was no milk with the coffee making facilities and sparsely stocked coffee/tea.
The breakfast was delicious.... buffet style, hot and fresh and the restaurant is lovely and staff friendly and helpful.
All in all we enjoyed our stay, value for money and booked again for Christmas time, hopefully all facilities will be open then.

We booked the hotel for a quick overnight stay. £85 , inclusive of breakfast . Hotel has been refurbished, but done at very low cost, which is obvious. The outside looks ok at the front, but to the side, by the carpark it looks tired, and in need of updating or some tlc. Restaurant food was standard , not enough staff working -1 poor girl to do the bar, take orders, clear tables, and serve meals.
Room was nice enough, standard double, clean, good shower, decent bed, but no plugs at either side of the bed to charge mobiles, which I've never come across before. Breakfast was help yourself, selection of cereals,lightly cooked fatty bacon, undercooked cheap sausage, tasteless scrambled egg, and had to go through numerous plates before finding a clean one, as did other residents.
Reception staff friendly.
Don't honestly think I'd stay here again regardless of the price.

A few issues - I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it . Safe broken, No shower gel, dead bugs on window seal, Room to hot as couldn’t open window due to smell of sewage it was just vile. Crockery at breakfast dirty and breakfast was just passable.

It was a solo fishing trip. The hotel was fine for that and a full breakfast was useful to set me up for the day.
The only downside I would say was that both times I have stayed here I noticed that the bar can be unattended for long periods and the bell to alert the bar staff doesn't work. Other than that the hotel is perfectly acceptable with comfy beds.

Room wasn’t cleaned to a high standard, hairs in bed, carpet wasn’t hoovered enough, dirty mugs.
Room was too hot and the window didn’t open enough to let any air in.
Cleaner knocked just after 9am for room service this is way to early as we were both still sleeping.
Checking in and out we waited at least 10 minutes before someone came to the desk.
Overall didn’t enjoy the stay and wasn’t value for money.

The fire doors were off the hinges in a hallway; the quality and the choice of breakfast was very low: coffee was dirty hot water, apart from the sausages the food was tasteless. Even though there were only 10 guests we had to wait for new plates and food.
