I stayed a week at the Adobe Belconnen for business travel, and it was good in all areas except for the bed. It was way too soft. I'm not sure if it was meant to be like that or it was old. After the second night I asked to change rooms, but the staff said that they would change the mattress. I was then disappointed to find the second mattress was no better. Apart from that the Hotel was good.

the room and reception were great just a general complaint about the design of the lifts, who in their right minds decided that the parking requires you to change lifts to get to reception or rooms, i find this bizarre as the lifts go to the parking floor but its staff only, NO common sense in this, and why don't you try configure so that its user friendly, as we pay for the services

Great hotel - good family room at a great price. It's a huge hotel - a long walk between room ane elevator, make sure you don't forget anything on your way out ha ha! We'd like to go back when the restaurant is open - that would have made it even better.
The car park is soooo confusing with so many different lifts, but you will eventually get the hang of it. Easy walk to Belconnen mall and easy walk to the beautiful lake Ginninderra walking path.

The airconditioning in the room was not working properly, meaning that despite all curtains being closed and the aircon turned on, the room was still sweltering hot even at 8pm at night. We had booked for 2 nights but given the unbearable heat in the room, we did not stay the second night and instead opted to make the drive back to sydney late at night. When checking out, the reception was VERY understaffed (despite the hotel being near capacity due to summernats) and my husband was waiting over 20minutes to return the room cards as, despite the reception staff seeing a large group push in front of my husband, said they would "just check their IDs first" and were very dismissive when my husband told them that his wife and toddler waiting in the car to leave.

The bed is too soft and worn out. Very uncomfortable especially when joint with 2 single beds to make a queen.
Pillows were high, stiff and very odd shape. They only able to offer 2 regular size pillows when requested for a group of 5.
Overal the room and space were good, but definitely can improve on sleeping arrangement.

The disconnect between parking and hotel access is a nuisance. You have to use 2 separate lifts and if you have suitcases to drag around, it's inconvenient. Upon check-in i was informed that each morning when i left for the day, i was to let front staff know, presumably for housekeeping. I did this but on my last day my bed was unmade and the kitchen area was not cleaned - so what was the point of that exercise?

However, on check in, how to use the lift with the swipe card was not explained and this lead to some confusion and frustration on my part. The hotel is located close to Belconnen and within walking distance to Lake Ginnindera. Public transport is close by making access to the city easy. For a short stay I would recommend this hotel.

The drain the shower is inadequate as the water ends up flowing into the rest if the bathroom making it dangerous to walk on the tiles. The place itself is nice; the staff were good and polite. I just felt my request for an early check-in was answered by a generic, robotic response and never followed up, and my request for a late check-out was ignored entirely. It made me scramble to change my plans, and my friend ended up staying elsewhere because they were extremely tired and needed rest. Anyway, the place was clean, and the decor is nice. The outdoor spa and sauna are shared with residents of the surrounding towers, which is not advertised and meant I ended up not using them at all in the evening because there were too many people. Early in the afternoon, I used them quickly, but at night the sauna and spa were always full, so I gave up. Oh, and there were many dogs on my floor. The Q&A here says they are restricted to level 6 or something; well, I was on level 4 and saw more than three different dogs with people on my floor and heard them barking early in the morning, so that's not true either. I love dogs, but not in my hotel room. However, the room didn't smell like animals and was very clean. I would stay again, just FYI, but not if animals are on the same floor as me. I would have given 5 stars had I felt more looked after regarding the early check-in and late check-out, which I mentioned I would have paid extra for. I had to leave at 6:30 a.m. instead because my requests weren't fulfilled or were ignored. Thanks.

Fire alarm evacuation & lost item no contact
I checked in late at night 8pm, and the building has fire alarm triggered where all guest has to be evacuated at night, my baby got woken up and cries all the way out. I left my Tshirt in the bathroom when leaving, contacted reception twice and someone promised me will let me know about lost item but never did…
