The staff was very helpful in checking us in fast. The room was very clean and had two queen beds. Also it had a roll in shower for my wife who has some disabilities. They don't serve breakfast but have a restaurant close by.This is our third stay here and enjoy the Ameswell Hotel location for the closeness to Stanford hospital Moya Moya reunion. That's Ameswell Hotel and staff.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, the property is clean, quiet, and feels modern and well-maintained. There is a bar downstairs with a large screen, which was perfect for watching the World Cup games. There is also a small convenience store on-site where you can easily buy water and other essentials.

Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money, and I would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

One small thing to note: the room did not have a traditional iron, but a garment steamer was provided instead. While it worked well, guests who prefer a regular iron should keep this in mind.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels, but The Ameswell Hotel in Mountain View, CA genuinely caught me off guard — in the best possible way. From the moment I walked into my room, I could tell this wasn’t your average hotel experience.

The Rooms: Let’s start with cleanliness, because the Ameswell absolutely nails it. The room wasn’t just clean — it was immaculate. You know that feeling when you walk into a space and the air itself feels fresh? That’s real here. You can tell they’ve invested in a state-of-the-art air filtration system, because the air quality is noticeably crisp and pure. No stale hotel smell, no stuffiness — just clean, breathable air from the second you open the door.

The Beds: I don’t say this lightly — sleeping in that bed was like floating on a cloud. The mattress, the pillows, the linens — everything about it felt intentional and luxurious. I genuinely had to drag myself out of bed in the morning, and I’m not a late sleeper.

The Convenience Factor: This is where the Ameswell really shows it understands its guests. The café is fantastic for a quality sit-down bite, but what I especially loved was the snack bar with the touch screen point-of-sale system. Midnight craving? Early morning flight prep? No prob Grabbing snacks 24 hours a day without having to track down a staff member or leave the property is a game changer. It’s a small touch that makes a huge difference.

The Ameswell isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s a place to recharge.

Cleanliness, staff, amenities were all on point. A pleasant surprise was the multi-use path that ran through the property out into the bay and the cool beach cruiser bikes the hotel made accessible to guests. It was very nice to step away or in my case, roll away from traffic and commerce for a peaceful excursion. To be clear, not the kind of excursion where you bomb another country.

Amazing dog friendly hotel with very well maintained facilities and grounds. Amenities such as the free bicycles were great for getting out and the close proximity to biking/walking trails made everything so easy and convenient. The rooms were clean and spacious, bright and comfortable, as well as having very nice body products provided by the hotel. Can’t wait to be back!!

Hotel was quite modern. Lots of electrical outlets to recharge and use your electronic equipment. Good working desk if needed. The baththroom area is nice, but would be better if a door separated the toilet from the sink area and the shower area would have a glass shower door instead of leaving it open. The location is quite isolated and wish more eateries were close to the hotel. I would stay there again if I needed a place to stay in the area.

My recent stay at The Ameswell was wonderful! The room was cleaned and maintained meticulously, the staff were all helpful, warm and friendly. The weather was warm, so the pool was very active, but in a beautiful setting with picnic tables and yard games just outside the pool fence. I would definitely stay here again.

The Ameswell is a wonderful hotel with all the amenities for a hotel its size and class and then some. Hotel is impeccably clean, from the outside grounds, the common seating areas, the restaurants, and the room itself. We were greeted by a warm staff and check-in was flawless without a wait. The room is well equipped with a small refrigerator with room to store your drinks/food. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large and the walk-in shower had a rainfall shower head. I prefer more water pressure so if I have a gripe about the room, that’s it. If TV is important to you, it’s a smart one so you’re all set. There are two restaurants on site BUT keep in mind, no room service. Outdoor saltwater pool was heated and clean. Loved it. The hotel itself is set in what feels like its own little area so it’s nice to be away from other hotels/businesses. It *is* right off the highway but we never heard a sound. Will definitely stay here again.

The property and amenities were great, and the pool was perfect! My only feedback for the management team would be to lean a bit more into the hospitality side of the guest experience. Some interactions felt a little transactional, and with such a beautiful resort and amenities, you naturally expect a warmer, more polished resort-style atmosphere. I unfortunately had to give it one star, as the air conditioning in our room was faulty and made for a miserable stay. My concerns weren't taken seriously and it left me unable to sleep.

After calling the front desk, it took three calls before anyone was even sent to the room, and all the technician did was turn it back on and tell me it was working fine, even though it clearly had not all day. I expressed my concerns but was told it was fixed, only to have it shut off multiple times during the night. During a heat wave, especially, this is inexcusable.

Add in that I currently am wearing a cast, which made the heat extra unbearable. I had to get up multiple times during the night when I woke up from the heat climbing in the room, to try in vain to restart the air. This was not only miserable, but also unsafe for my injury.

Not only did I waste much of my evening trying to deal with this, and miss a whole night of sleep, but my concern was not even taken seriously. The next day the front desk said they would email me about doing something to compensate but I never heard from them. They did cover parking, but a $20 discount for wasting both my evening and my night of sleep does not feel like nearly enough. I also don't trust that they even fixed anything, since they ignored my concerns so fully. I wonder if all of their rooms have faulty air.

While the facility is beautiful, we will not be back and would urge you to skip this choice as well.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The lobby area, restaurant and outside area was so pretty. The room was nice but body wash in the shower was completely empty, they use it for hand soap too so had to keep going in and out of the shower to use it, it feels gross though, like your scrubbing and it never comes off. The bed was decent but the pillows were terrible. There is a saltwater pool that we never used but looked cute and the fitness center was actually quite impressive.

Room was excellently appointed and the hotel itself is new and beautiful. Music in the restaurant Saturday night and fire pits outside in beautiful ambience. We really enjoyed the well appointed exercise room and the complimentary bikes. We rode 45 minutes along the Bayview Trail to Stanford University from the hotel and loved it. Will definitely stay again.
