This was a one day stay for work. Hotels were all very expensive probably due to the Super Bowl. But this little hotel offered a decent rate. Check in was easy - allowed me into my room early. Nice people. The room was awful. Smelled of old cigarettes. Bedding was thin and made for minimal night comfort. Upstairs guests were very loud. No sleep to be had. It was not worth the price by any stretch. When I mentioned this at the front desk at checkout the young woman was less than impressed with my sleepless tales. Made my work day very hard to get through.

Check in/out staffs are great. Francisco very patience and friendly. Upon checkin-the Executive suite-room is not fully staffed for 3 person- 1pr of slipper/no dish soap/sponge/shower cap. Kitchen ware- 3 drinking glass instead of 4. Someone must have broke it, fork and spoon all odds sizes and all sizes for the fork and spoon.

Have to ask for whatever missing.

I have been staying here, off and on, for 45 years. The hotel is old and dilapidated. Shower barely works , water supply intermittent, sorry, but it’s a dump now and I will not be coming back until you do a much needed renovation. The rooms need to be gutted, not just recreated and painted. And they stink. Sad.

One of my favorite hotels on the planet, hands down. Beautiful grounds, spacious and comfortable rooms, warm outdoor pool, good food. My family lived right next door for several years and always recommended it to our visiting guests. Now that we’ve relocated out of state, we go out of our way to stay here when we travel back to the Bay Area. Go, swim, feed the ducks and koi. You deserve a break.

Great ambiance at Dinah's Garden Inn in Palo Alto. The room was delightful, clean and well appointed. Staff is lovely. Easy parking. Good menu at the restaurant, hearty breakfast. A stream meanders through the lushly landscaped property with ducks and Koi and encourages visitors to meander too. The artwork is awesome and quirky. A wonderful respite. Dinah's is my #1 choice among the many corporate hotels on ElCamino.

I have stayed at Dinah's off and on for over 20 years and have usually enjoyed my stay here. Nice property with good rooms and a relaxing pond with waterfall. Close to Stanford and Palo Alto but you will need a car. One restaurant on site but many nearby. They do have EV charging available for free.

My one complaint at this visit was the clerk at check out who came across as rigid and condescending.

I stay at Dinah’s garden probably twice a year and have been doing this for about 12 years. It is such a nice hotel! With a wonderful pool and pool bar and restaurant. Everybody is super nice that works there. The rooms are very, very nice and comfortable. And I feel very safe staying there when I’m by myself as a woman. Absolutely love this hotel and the grounds are incredible!

We stayed for a quick overnight in early August. The rate was good for the Palo Alto area. We enjoyed resting by the pool after a 5 am departure from Southern California. The rooms are nothing fancy, but clean and updated for an older property. We enjoyed the complimentary Wall Street Journal in the lobby. The staff was very professional and welcoming.

Good location, good parking situation. The room was spacious and clean. No complimentary breakfast, but the restaurant was good and A Good Morning is right down the street. Only one thing, the king bed was a bit lumpy. My wife had a \"hole\" on her side, hence a slightly less than perfect rating. Would def stay again.

My kids and I stayed here for 4 nights while they attended camps at Stanford. Overall, great place! 15 minute drive to Stanford. I used the workout room daily. It's small and basic - treadmill, recumbent bike, elliptical, and free weights, but that was fine. The equipment was in good shape. We didn't use the pool as the restaurant swating wraps around the pool deck, so you're on display at the pool. I had one meal at the restaurant and it was ok, but not great. I would recommend eating elsewhere with so many great spots nearby. The one thing that was very inconvenient was that housekeeping started so late. I put the \"early room make up\" on my door but housekeeping didn't get to it until close to noon. If you're gone all day, this doesn't matter, but I was hoping to have the room to relax in after my morning workouts.

We have been staying at Dinah's for over 20 years and love everything about it and especially the gardens and the cafe. The staff is excellent. This stay, the coffee maker was inoperative, there was no decaf tea available, lobby coffee was dry by 8:30 and the chocolates were missing from our room. They are all low cost items that have added to our stay for ever and are .missing

My partner and I love how tranquil it was. I really love that they are big on recycling - they had the different bins in the room and they even had them outside the rooms for your convenience too.

The toiletries they provide are great! My partner and I usually don’t use hotel toiletries since we carry our own but we ended up using the ones they provided. We definitely will be staying here again if we’re ever in the area again.
