The safety of our customers is our priority and so in accordance with local health legislation, the breakfast service may have temporary changes (opening hours, products on offer, layout and service). This completely restored hotel is located on Calle Mesones Street, a pedestrian road and one of the most popular places in Granada city centre.

It is just metres away from great shops, outstaning tapas bars, restaurants and is the perfect place for exploring the city. In its immediate vicinity are some of its most famous sights, including the Alhambra palace and fortress complex, the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel, the perfect hub for discovering the magic and history of Andalusia.

The hotel's facade and interior have been completely restored and were created by interior designers Clara and Lorenzo del Castillo, who instilled a great mixture of colours and trendy furnishings. On its top floor there is a spacious terrace that opens to some of the most breath-taking views over the city and is the perfect place for watching the picturesque sunset.

The hotel room was modern with a large nice bathroom. The breakfast buffet was extensive and breakfast staff friendly. However our room was not at all what was pictured on the website. It was dark with the walls painted a muddy gray and there was only a small window facing a stairwell wall. However the biggest negative of the hotel was that the air conditioning system was turned off, so our room temperature ranged from 25-38 degrees with no means to cool it other than opening the window to the noisy stairwell

It was everything about it that made it special. As we entered the hotel we were greeted in a way that made us feel genuinely appreciated. Maps were shared and any other tourist information that might be helpful. We arrived early so our luggage was stored but when we checked in, the luggage was already in our room. The room was quaint and nicely appointed. We had an amazing terrace which was so inviting. The breakfast room was lovely and the breakfast itself involved a wide range of treats to get our morning started off on the right foot.i would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would gladly return anytime.

The hotel is absolutely fabulous, the location can’t be beat, the rooftop pool and views phenomenal and everyone that works there, especially Javier and Rafa, were amazing and so helpful.
If you are going to Granada, this is a MUST!!!! We are already planning to stay there again later this year.

We really liked the central location of this hotel, which made it easy to pop back in throughout the day to drop shopping off etc. The staff were friendly.

The room was a good size and it was very quiet at night. We had breakfast one morning which had a lot of variety.

There was no view out of room 416 (the window faces an interior wall and the lift), and the main lights in the room wouldn’t turn on. The floor of the bath tub was also very slippy and no rubber mat was available, I almost slipped a couple of times when having a shower. Not deal breakers but I would try and get a different room if I were to stay again! The pool area is a little on the small side, so it would be hard to get a lounger on a really hot day.

Overall I’d recommend Room Mate Granada.

We upgraded to a room with a private balcony with sun lounges, this was in the perfect position as you have the sun all afternoon and the view of a nice sunset. The room had good Wi-Fi air-conditioning and all other comforts require required for a good stay the rooftop pool area and bar which had free bathing towels was excellent. Couldn’t be better!

This was an amazing hotel! Large, well appointed newly renovated rooms and great facilities. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the location is excellent. It is in the old town but very close to parking and also close to roads to get taxis.

This renovated gorgeous hotel is right in the middle of the city center shopping so it’s very quiet at night after the shops close at 9. The tile in the shower is gorgeous and the roof top swimming pool/relaxing area is to die for! There are many options on the roof to sit as well as a honesty bar with soda, ice, beers/liquor. The rooms are huge for Europe and the AC is cold! Bed was also so comfy. I hope to come back someday. About a 10 minute walk to everywhere!

Amazing stay!

The hotel was well located. Room was very comfortable and the staff was great. They went the extra mile when there was an issue with air conditioning and brought us a portable air conditioning for our room and the problem was quickly resolved. The laundry service was also very convenient! They wash, dry and fold your clothes for 35 euros. The breakfast was also great!

There were several guests che king ay the same time and only one clerk available. A guest who already checked in tried complaining while the clerk was checking in those who were waiting. The irate guest continued to complain and the clerk raised his voise telling her to wait.

On Saturday i asked about cab service the next day and told there was no issue. I returned Sunday to request a cab and was told none were available due to a marathon. This would have been nice to know the day before.

The pool area is comprised of 4 decks. The first contain chairs in a shaded area, ut unuable if you want to lounge. The second is up more than a dozen stairs. It is composed ouf a couch and a couple chairs, but without shade. Up another 10 or more stairs is the sun deck. This has 2 unbrellas and 4 lounge chairs to lie on and 6 chairs to sit on. If you are there by 1000 to get an umbrella you cant stay long due to the heat.

Up 6 more stairs is pool. It is 3m x 3m x 60cm. Not large enough for 4 people.

I was underwhelmed by the hotel.

This is a little gem hidden in the centre of Granada. The staff are so lovely and very helpful. We loved the outside space, the terraces and pool area. What was really lovely was being able to use the pool up until 11pm with the fantastic views of Granada at night. Highly recommend.

Kevin was super friendly at the front desk!! We stayed in room 414 which was very nice. The walk-in shower was huge and clean. The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. The pool area was amazing, we didn’t take advantage during our 4 nights but definitely a bonus. One improvement to be made would be responding to the two messages sent via Expedia. This might have ensured a smoother check-in. We would stay again if we come back to Granada.

Service was excellent, although they were the only hotel on our two week trip that couldn't accommodate early check in.

Room was perfectly sized for two people.

Location was excellent, very easy to get around and to the shopping/restaurants we were interested in.

The hotel is really well kept. The rooftop area is still a jewel not well managed. It doesn’t have a real bar, staff or heaters. Rooms are spotless and staff is pretty friendly and available for help, even though the hotel is understaff for a 4 star hotel and most of the time they only count with one employee in the front desk to solve everything for everyone. The neighborhood is great, in the middle of Granada. I would give the hotel 3 stars, not 4.

Great three-night stay!

The hotel is so centrally located, every attraction is within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked an executive room. The room was big, with a king size bed, which was comfortable. The hotel and the rooms are beautifully decorated. The roof terrace has spectacular views of the Alhambra and Granada. The breakfast buffet offers many choices, all delicious. We will be back and recommend this hotel without hesitation.
