Convenient hotel for sightseeing
Hotel is in great position for seeing all the sights and shopping. Easy access from airport on the bus, followed by 10 minute walk, we left by train and station is about 30 minutes

Overheated sleepless night!
Heating was extremely high so we could not sleep. We tried to turn on A/C in the room but it became even hotter. I called front desk to ask how to manage the situation and the told me it was about central heating that they could not manage. I could not sleep!

I thought it was a joke (from the previous reviews) or that management would have corrected the WIFI issue but as of end of May 2019 you will get full bars on WIFI but with EXTREMELY slow speeds. If internet is not a problem, would highly recommend just based on the location and cleanliness of the room alone. The hotel has about 8 or so rooms on each floor and is fairly quiet. Would definitely recommend.
Also not sure if it is our room but the AC system has a strange buzz when it turns on. Just something to note if you are a light sleeper.

Clean room, however the shower head was broken and water would spray throughout the entire bathroom. The quality of the room was much lower than portrayed onilne. The service was the worst we received in Spain - seemed the staff was consistently annoyed with the guests. The location was fantastic and convenient for shopping, visiting monuments, walking around, tapas, etc.

You feel at home in this cozy small hotel in the hub of Granada. The personnel take good care of their guests and always receive you with a smile. The place is clean and comfortable. Their reasonably priced breakfast adds even more value to your stay. The sound-proof room windows keep you isolated from the bustle of downtown Granada.

Adequate and Affordable
The room and the service were adequate. Nothing special to warrant a higher mark. However, the price and location were worthwhile. A few odd items: there was no Kleenex, no conditioner, and no washclothes/mini towels. Plus, the water was grossly marked up (compared to the complimentary water we received at other similarly priced hotels in Spain).

In the bathrooms the faucets are broken or not fixed properly. Nothing was corrected even after we complained.

Great customer service at the reception. The staff speak English fluently, which is a plus. The amenities are everything we could ask for and more. The hotel is clean. It's right on Calle Recogidas which in <2 km from the Alhambra (you can walk) and next to many many bars, cafes, restaurants, and many other Granada attactions!

This is right next to the Giralda / The Seville Cathedral and within walking distance of everything! We saw the Torre Del Oro, Plaza de Torros, Flamenco Dancing, and the Triana neighborhood. Love love love this place. It was in the middle of everything and so nice inside!

A little disappointing
We had high hopes for this hotel. The positives were the staff who were always friendly and the breakfast was fresh. I can't really think of anything else positive to add. When we got to our room (which was massive, another positive) we were shocked at how dated it was. There were scratches on the walls and floors everywhere. Normally we wouldn't care about this but there is more. We asked for a double/king bed and our room had two singles. Again, this is common, however the beds wete actually made as two separate single beds. The sheets and pillow slips had holes/rips in them and the shower had soap scum on the floor, making it sticky. The hotel is located almost directly across from a nite club so bring ear plugs as the windows provide no sound insulation.

Loved the style and decor of the hotel, the staff was also very professional. It is worth noting parking comes at extra cost and some services are more on the expensive side, such as laundry and local calls. The location is key as it is near many restaurants and tourist attractions. We walked to everything except the Alhambra.

A nice hotel with a very modern looking and confortable room. In walking distance to most attractions in the city. The street is very popular so there's some noise at night, but nothing annoying even for a person with light sleep as me. The only \"problem\" with the room is that it has close to 20 switches for lights... and they're not easy to operate-understand (lol! is crazy). The staff is very friendly and helpful, specially Maria at the front desk, she's great.

We stayed at Abades Recogidas for three nights in October. We were very pleased with the hotel. The location was great, the hotel was situated on one of the main shopping street in Granada. Plenty to see around the hotel and all the sights were accessible by foot from the hotel.
The staff was nice and helpful. The room was a good size, nicely furnished and the beds confortables. Would recommend !

City Hotel - Acceptable Location but disappointed
The bedroom we were given was comfortable but the Bathroom was NOT. The fittings in the Washbasin and Bidet Taps were loose, and the Fitting holding the Shower Head was loose, the Bathroom Door could not close all the way. After staying the first night, I gave a note to the Reception next morning to get their Maintenance Department about 2 of these problems. Regretably when we returned at night, NOTHING had been done, and we had to endure these problems for another night/day. VERY DISAPPOINTED with the attitude taken by Hotel People not to bother. Looks like we were given a sub-standard bathroom to begin with.

The location is not bad, at the shopping district. 10 mins walk to a bus station to go to la Alhambra and 20 mins walk to Albaicín. However, the room I had was horrible and did not match a 4-star hotel standard. The condition and decorations are all fine, but the air conditioner/heater was a absolutely disaster. It went off every 20-30 mins in a crazy noisy sound like a plane engine throughout the whole night. Even when I changed the setting from heat to cool and put the temperature to 15 degrees, it was still extremely hot that I woke up at least 5 times at night.

Best if you don't drive since having the car taken of during the stay is a bit of an ordeal. The city is best experienced by foot anyway, so leave the car at home. Also remember that on Sunday, everything is closed except restaurants.

The room was tiny and the bed was shorter than standard - my feet stuck out of the end. The hotel was well located for the cathedral and not too far from the Alhambra. The staff, including the manager, were very unhelpful and dismissive when I had an issue and for this reason I would not stay here again.

Hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes, etc would be helpful. Also, would be nice to have a bench in the lobby or 1 couch to sit while waiting for taxis, guests, help, etc
