Great property with amazing concierge
Having only stayed here for a brief period, arriving after midnight and departing in the morning, I must say the entire experience was truly delightful. The hotel, though rated as a three-star establishment, boasted a reception staff that provided a five-star level of service. The property itself was well-maintained, and the room was exceptionally spacious with lovely views. Furthermore, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was quite tasty.

Excellent communication from hotel staff to set this up and all went very smoothly. Room was clean and quiet although a bit dated. I was told that renovations are being undertaken. Within 5 minutes walk are many good restaurants, buses to other towns, a bakery, a fruit-shop and a small supermarket. Excellent hotel breakfast. All rooms have sea-view balconies. Paid parking is very difficult nearby, except overnight and at weekend. Nearest free parking 10 minutes walk away.

I received a warm welcome from a very nice young lady who had a great local knowledge and was able to point me in the direction of a nice place to eat. The hotel is nicely situated, clean, in excellent condition and the room was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed a very peaceful stay with superb views out over the street at the front. 5 fab days in Machico.
We really enjoyed our second stay at white waters hotel. Staff are really upbeat and friendly. Lovely room with comfy bed and great shower. Breakfast was very good, hotel is very close to all facilities in Machico. Not far from bus station, and a great Levada walk at the back of Machico. Not far from a golden sandy beach. Buses go to most places on the east of the island and Funchal via the airport. Would re and would return. Cheers 😁😁

5 days in Machico
Really enjoyed our stay in White Waters hotel. Staff really upbeat and chatty. Breakfast very good, room fab, bed really comfy. Lovely room with a great balcony. Everything was great. Machico is a great place to vase yourself as there is a lot to do and see in the area. It also has many eateries and bars, shops , supermarkets etc. Great bus service to Funchal and other parts of the East part of the island. Would recommend and will return. Cheers 😁😁

The neighborhood was beautiful anf had an easy access to beach. Also the area was very calm and so close to supermarket and pharmacy.
About the negative part I can say that I was very disappointed with the room condition specially bedcovers and bathroom. On my bedsheet there was a spot! Bathroom smelled like waste pipe and the sink had a lot of cracks on it and when I opened the water the bad smell got stronger. The balcony’s door was brocken so we couldn’t close and lock the door but thanks God the neighborhood was safe but still I wasn’t feeling comfortable. To sum up the facility and room quality was the very basic and not in a very good quality.

The hosts and all staff were amazing. Very spacious room, amazing views and comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious and well presented. This is a modern building located in the heart of Machico. There's a pebble beach 1 min walk away and a sandy beach 5 minutes walking distance. Thank you very much, hopefully will be back soon.

Excellent Family Run Hotel
We wanted a relaxing seven night break and that was exactly what we got. Machico is quite small and compact and thankfully is largely flat, with easy strolls to most restaurants nearby. This family run hotel is well maintained, within a couple of minutes walk from a wonderful sandy beach and provides excellent value for money. We could not have asked for a better break.

This hotel really gets a thumbs up. The room was great, large and comfortable, with a sea view. The breakfast was super, lots of choice and plenty of it. The staff were friendly and efficient and the location is great, right in the middle of the town.

The hotel's location was convenient (located in the town centre and close enough to the beach and airport). However, it was sometimes rather noisy. The room and toilet were clean but quite small. Breakfast was simple but good enough.

This hotel is truly beautiful and in the perfect location. Our hosts went above and beyond our expectations. We had to isolate in our room until our covid test came back they cooked evening meal just for us. The hotel is modern very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was avaliable each day included in the price of the room. lots of choice and a very attentive host. This is a family owned and run Hotel and is a 10/10. Brilliant wifi connection also included in price. The room we were in did not have air con we mentioned this and were immediately given a large oscillating fan. We will be visiting again and would recommend 100%

This is a small, family owned and run hotel in Machico, close to the seafront and restaurants, cafes and shops. Staff are really friendly and very helpful. Whilst it doesn't have lots of fancy facilities like pools, games rooms etc, there is a restaurant. The simple offering of a clean room and breakfast is reflected in the very competitive cost of a room ( with a sea view). Have stayed twice here and would return again.

I'd stayed here as an overnight stop for the airport (less than 10 minutes away by taxi), but the hotel would be good for anyone looking to spend time in Machico as well.

The hotel is a small modern building on four floors. The whole place is very pleasant and clean. The staff were among the friendliest I have ever come across and were eager to please. It has a lovely restaurant on site and the food was great quality and value. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms so bring your own if these are important to you. I would definitely use this hotel again.

Not a great amount of nightlife but a good selection of restaurants nearby as well as the restaurant within the hotel itself give good choices for guests.

My partner & I stayed here for a week. The Hotel is well placed in Machico for the seafront & Restaurants but has a good restaurant of its own, too. As the Hotel has only been open around 4 yrs, everything looks in good order & is kept to a high standard of cleanliness. The Hotel owners Manuel & Fatima, are around a lot & show interest in their guests & their experience of the Hotel & the Island. Breakfasts were 'continental' style & nicely presented with good variety. For the lover of the 'full English' that is available too (for an extra payment.)

Het inchecken ging goed, de dame was zeer vriendelijk. De kamer is erg basic wat op zich niet erg was. Wel vloerbedekking op de grond wat echt niet hygiënisch is. Eenmaal in bed voelden we het ijzer van de spiralen. Zo hard en zo pijnlijk! Dit moet echt vervangen worden. We hebben amper geslapen.
De douche is goed, wel echt oude handdoeken met zichtbare slijtage.
Het wasmiddel wat gebruikt wordt voor het beddengoed vinden wij ook niet lekker maar dat is persoonlijk.
Ik had bij het ontbijt erg veel zin in koffie maar na 1 slok hoefde het niet meer.
Het is best een hele leuke plek en heel erg vriendelijk personeel maar ze zouden de matrassen moeten vervangen en een andere koffie machine aanschaffen.
