Very nice hotel and a 30 minute walk from the airport.
Good room, very spacious .
Good enough breakfast , less choice for me as a vegan but still managed okay with fresh fruit and bread .
Hot water was supplied freely as no kettle in the room.
Good pool area.

Perfect for Airport!

Hotel was conveniently situated a couple of miles from Madeira Airport, perfect for an early morning flight! Although the restaurant was closed, l was given a discount voucher for sister establishment opposite the church and the food was excellent!
Left hotel by booked taxi before breakfast was served! 😢

This is a basic hotel. The showers need a thorough deep clean. The roof top pool is beautiful but there are no pool towels. The restaurant was closed which was not posted on their website when we booked. The positive was that it was near the airport for an early flight.

Not a 4-starhotel as advertised

We stayed here for two nights. The location was very convenient…easy walk to the ocean strip. This is not a 4 star hotel as advertised…3 star at the most. Room was small, refrigerator was noisy and had to be replaced, breakfast offering was sub-standard and parking was a tree-for-all exercise to get one of the very few spots on the street. The best part was the upper sun deck and pool that were very nice.

In a nice and quiet neighborhood. I was only there for less than a whole 24 hours. I went for a walk in the evening. Didn’t seem to be any shops or cafes very close, I just didn’t look into it too much. Nice, safe feel about the neighborhood. Taxi easily got me from airport, less than 10 minutes and to cruise ship, 20 minutes.

I read some reviews saying they don’t like it here. I had no problems. It was clean. It had great water pressure. A discount to a very good restaurant just down the street.

A great place to stay close to the airport. A walk to the town and the beach front is worthwhile to see the real Madeira.

It has a modern interior with traditional and historical possessions around to give it atmosphere

Out of season the restaurant had a limited menu (not the one on the outside wall) but there was a good crowd in for the food

Very nice indeed!

Stayed for a night before flying home. Hotel was really nice, the Aircon certainly worked on the 3rd floor, so well we turned it off. Very comfortable clean and modern. Pool looked nice. Their restaurant by the Church just down the road gave us the best meal of our trip and was 10% off. Exceptional steak on the stone, very cheap!

We were excited to stay here for one night to be able to get to the airport easily. They don’t provide a shuttle but it was a $10 taxi ride from the hotel. We unfortunately were given a room where the AC did not work so it was a hot box the entire night. My husband went downstairs to ask about the AC and they replied back that the cleaners were just in there and it is working. We said it’s not working so what should we do? She said try these steps and it will work. We said if we try these steps and it doesn’t work, what do we do? And she said it will work. We tried all the steps multiple times and it was still a hot box. Since we had to wake up at 3:30am for our flight we didn’t want to deal with it and tried to go to sleep. To say the least, it was not a good nights sleep that we needed before a long journey home. This hotel has so many good reviews and that’s why we chose it so that’s disappointing. Our bed was also poorly made and there were hairs (from previous guests) on the floor and the bathroom floor. Since we slept poorly, we wish we would have just paid a little more to stay in Funchal and wake up earlier to the airport.

The hotel was lovely, we were greeted at the door by a staff member and they checked-in to our room quickly. We were three travellers and booked a two twin bed room. The hotel installed an additional bed (regular bed not a cot) in the room for the third traveller so we all had a comfortable place to sleep. Overall great experience.

Could be a cute property if properly run. Building has charm. However, the AC didn't work and required multiple trips to the front desk where they never sent anyone to my room, just gave me instructions on how to reset it myself. My sister in a different room never got hers to work. They don't stock enough towels in the room and no shampoo or conditioner. The fitness center has not been cleaned in maybe a year and consists of a few broken pieces of equipment. The included breakfast consisted of sweet eggs and hotdogs and frozen orange juice and a automatic coffee machine. We went once and never went back. There is a tiny pool but no pool towel are provided so you have to take the only two towels they give you from your room.

Overall, staff was not friendly or helpful if you could even find them and the hotel was a disappointment. Stay somewhere else.

Il y avait une très forte odeur de moisissures dans la chambre, en particulier près du mur de la tête de lit. Il y avait des traces de moisissures blanches dans le bas des murs. Notre chambre était située dans un bout de couloir donnant sur la mezzanine qui surplombe le hall de réception. C’était très bruyant, on entendait toutes les discussions, mais surtout le son du piano joué par des jeunes enfants qui n’avaient rien à faire là à 1 heure du matin…je ne recommande pas cet hôtel.
