We felt like we were staying in a castle from the 1600’s. So much preserved ancient beauty was merged with modern conveniences. We felt like royalty! Manuel coordinated airport pick up for us, and ensured his staff met our needs for our stay, including breakfast. We plan to stay again in our return to Cusco.

The property was very nice, extremely quiet at night and very clean! The staff was amazing and were available for any needs we might have had. Breakfast was available daily with a variety of options and delivered to our room.
The manager did an incredible job!! Called to check on us to ensure that we didn’t have any issues or problems with elevation sickness. He coordinated taxis, recommended restaurants, and ensured that every need was met!
I can’t say enough about how amazing our stay was and the excellent experience! Highly recommend this property for anyone traveling to Cusco.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Rumi Wasi. The hotel is so beautiful - the art niches, the flowers, amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful. From advice on dealing with the altitude to restaurant recommendations to storing our luggage, they were great. Breakfast was delicious with eggs cooked to order. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience - helping with airport transportation, advice for dealing with the altitude, suggesting restaurants, holding our baggage while we went to Machu Picchu. What a find. After a 5 day trek, splashed out and was delighted. Firstly, the concierge Manuel could not be more helpful and was happy to keep a bag in storage until I returned from the trek. The hotel is gorgeous - only a handful of rooms, peaceful, the breakfast deck has a superb view over Cusco. Breakfast cooked to order. The room was very comfortable, everything worked perfectly and the shower was absolutely fantastic - including the massage feature. Plus airport shuttle is included. Hard to imagine a better hotel. Thanks!!

What a adorable B&B in an old style stone building with a courtyard & a balcony overlooking the city. It’s only 3 minutes walk to the Plaza de las Armas. The rooms are cute & comfortable. The staff are so friendly & attentive, especially with instructions for what to do in our first 24 hours in Cusco to avoid altitude sickness.

Cusco has a lot of security and this hotel is located really close to plaza de armas which is a pickup spot for most of the tours. So very convenient!!

The setting is amazing! A 1700’s building with cobblestone streets next to the city center. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is the room we were in had the same sliding glass door for both the shower and the toilet. There is no privacy for the toilet. The other room we were in has a separate toilet room.

We had an excellent stay at Rumi Wasi. In particular, Manuel Amaut was outstanding, and his English language skills were super helpful! Upon arrival, Manuel provided wise counsel about acclimating to the altitude, which was spot on. Later, our son had to go to the hospital for what was diagnosed as a bruised rib, and Manuel made all the arrangements, including coordination with the hospital to ensure a short wait and an English-language doctor. Rumi Wasi was a charming, quiet and a super comfortable lodging!

Cute little property, up a steep hill which doesn’t help with the high altitude, but you get used to it, day 1 was hard. Close to restaurants and bars, there was always police presence in the street near the bars which helped. Breakfast is basic but cute, has a little communal area.

We really loved our stay at Rumi Wasi! I can't imagine a more perfect experience in Cusco for my family and I. Rumi Wasi is situated just a few minutes' walk up a small, quiet street from the main square, Plaza Mayor. We were able to easily walk to everything we did in Cusco. Despite an amazing (!!) and loud street festival on the main square during our stay, the hotel was always very quiet. Rumi Wasi is so beautifully restored and lovingly maintained and staffed by a few incredibly kind women who will welcome you and are happy to help with anything you need. Manuel, the owner/manager was able to help us to arrange all of our local transportation by taxi, to and from the airport, to Pisac for the day, and to Ollantaytambo. Breakfast was fabulous, with fresh juice, eggs, bread, oatmeal, coffee, etc. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cusco, it was such a special part of our trip.

Rumí wasi served the best breakfast! You order it to what you like, have an option to be delivered to your room as you wish.
The staffs are wonderful. All of the 3 ladies I've encountered with are very helpful. I was greeted with coca tea while waiting to check in.
There is no early check in or late check out.
The room is wonderful and quiet.
Except some occasional times when the door bell rings or guests slammed the door.
Hot water is not consistent but not the end of the world.
I was able to leave my luggage when went to Machu Picchu and stayed overnight.waiting to buy ticket. When I returned, they were so kind giving me the same room I had stayed with my luggage waiting in it. It feels like I was coming home sleeping in the same bed.
Highly recommended if you look for a nice quiet place to rest from a daily tour while in Cusco

Manuel and the staff were nice and helpful. Just take note that the airport shuttle service is not totally free of charge contrary to what’s posted online. The free shuttle is a shared service with other hotels. There’s a charge if it’s private. Also, some tour companies may not pick you up or drop off from/ to this hotel even they say they do.

We had a room with a private rooftop. It had an amazing view of the city. The location is very walkable. We checked in late, and the staff was welcoming and even held our bags for us when we checked out to be able to walk around and explore more!

It is a beautiful hotel. It is very close to the Cusco square which is awesome. The room was lovely and spacious. Note: it is a very small hotel so depending on what type of assistance you need i.e. carrying your luggage upstairs may not be offered.

We were only there for a night and a short night (late arrival early check out).

even though we had to check out before breakfast they packed us breakfasts to go and sent them with us before we left!

The room is also really cool and the location can't be beat.

When we come back to Cusco we will be booking with them again. Thank you for the hospitality

Rumi Wasi is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. Staff truly go above and beyond to help out and make guests feel comfortable, not to mention the property is very well kept and simply gorgeous.
The breakfast is amazing, the location is amazing (right by Plaza de Armas), staff members are amazing - not a single negative thing about this place.

The hotel is built into a historic colonial building and has lots of character. If you want stay in a place that is not a typical hotel, this is it. The staff cooks a great breakfast and was extremely friendly and helpful, allowing us to store bags for a night and getting us an early morning car to the rail station with lots of bags.

The hotel is easy walking distance to the plaza, historic sights, museums and shopping.

To be fair, the hotel is located on a narrow, steep street. Also some of the rooms can be a bit small and there is no elevator.

Overall I highly recommend this hotel for it's character, fantastic staff, and location.

My only hesitation in leaving a glowing review is that others will find and swarm it. This is the most goegeous, considerate, warm, inviting, concenient hotel I could have found. I felt I was in a fairy tale staying here! They even pre-lit beautiful candles just before we entered the room, and delivered breakfast personally in the morning. I will stay here any time I go back to Cuzco!

I stayed in this hotel 2 other times the same week...choosing this hotel when I needed to adjust my plans. The building is adorable, the ladies who tend to you are incredible. I was prepared to give this another 5 star rating until the manager, Maguel, made some not so nice statements.

The 1st two visits were paid through Expedia however this last one was not and I didn’t realize it. This was my fault and I left without paying. He contacted a friend of mine to advise of this and in the same message threatened to take the payment from one of the ladies if I didn’t pay. He said this before we had even responded to ask how we could make the payment.

All is paid for now and I hope Miguel learns how to be a decent human and a good manager.

We stayed one night then came back after climbing Machu Picchu. They kept our stuff in our rooms safe for us until we returned a couple days later.
We did book 2 rooms with Queen beds but the first night one had 2 twin beds. We put them together so it wasn’t a huge deal plus they fixed the issue when we were back. The building was beautiful , close to everything. Only complaint would be that it advertises free shuttle to and from airport, but when you reach out to ask about it they recommend getting a car for you at $10-$15US.
We were unable to take advantage of all the free things, but they packed us a lunch to make sure we got something.

We checked in late and the lady who meet was very helpful. Walked us through the process she was very accommodating to our lateness. Our request for a boxed breakfast since we were leaving so early the next day (3am)was meet with understanding. She had our box breakfast in our hand before we closed our eyes to sleep. The room was very warm , bed firm, plenty of pillows. The property was very welcoming . The only downside is the toilet and shower had see-through doors . Which my sister and I did not care for.
