We felt very welcome with advice about places to eat, etc and service was good. Superb location for visiting the Rumi tomb and central Konya. The room was adequately sized for a few days stay, with plenty of storage. The beds were very comfortable and the room was surprisingly quiet though the hotel was located in the heart of town. Good bathroom as well. The lobby is spacious and a nice place to sit for a coffee or tea.

This hotel is very bad, dirty smell in the room and the WC.
There is no water in WC for many hours in morning.
The price compared to value is very high.
It must rated one star.
The Furniture is very old and broken.
The mattress causes back ache.

Great location. The window in our room needed to be replaced since it could not shut completely and the cigarette smoke from pedestrians in the street was constantly entering our room.
The hotel people were extremely nice.
Also there was a lot of noise from the street traffic. So if you don’t mind any of this then this is the the right hotel for you.

The building was old, and the bathroom had a strong sewer smell. The windows were worn out, and the noise from the street, even with the windows closed, made it hard to sleep comfortably.

The toilet is not cleaned when we checked in even though the clean ribbon was wrapped around the toilet seat. The bathroom also smells bad because there’s no exhausting fan. The parking guy is nice though

This hotel is situated in the city center, within walking distance to the Mevlana museum and the cultural center, as well as some authentic restaurants. We were pleased with the wide breakfast selection and the clean room overlooking the square.

It’s definitely not a 4 star quality hotel and I have stayed in many hotels around the world. The bathroom is archaic typical of a 2 star or 3 star hotel. I would not have booked it and paid that kind of money for this hotel.
Currently I am in the Crowne Plaza and intend to stay in other hotels in Turkey. Your rating of this hotel has cast a shadow on reliability on scoring!!

This hotel is directly across from the Mevlana Museum and within minutes of everywhere we planned to visit, by walking. The beautiful lobby was a great place to relax. Attentive staff and room cleaning daily, without requesting it. Although on a busy street, the room was very quiet.

Location, location, location... Can't beat it. In front of Mevlana Rumi, walk to Shams Tebriz... If that is not your reason to go to Konya, I don't know what is.
Great staff and helpful.
Useless breakfast and more cost cutting on various things (elevator gets stuck, dark corridors, etc...).

A great value budget hotel in a very convenient location right next to the Sultan Selim Camii and Mevlana Rumi Turbesi. Facilities/decor are slightly dated but I had no complaints. The staff are very helpful especially Mehmet (Ahmet?) who was especially helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this place it ticks many boxes. Note: There car parking outside which the hotel staff manage themselves for you due to the limited space.

Great location, near the major tourist attraction and close to shops and restaurants. Helpful staff and clean hotel. Only downside was that the Hammam and Sauna was under renovation when we arrived. Room sizes are small and there is no table, however Wifi was good. Great value for money.

Wonderful location almost 2 minutes walk for Molana Rumi mosque and tomb, hotels staff is very friendly and cooperative, rooms are clean but small, especially bathroom size was too small. Breakfast vareity is less as compared to a 4 star hotel. Most of the historic locations are on Waking distance. Overall it was a nice experience to stay at this hotel and visiting konya

The hotel is nice but our room wasn't great. We we're on the 1st floor facing the busy road. Our room was a triangle shape and next to the lifts and stairs. We only stayed 1 night but i wouldn't have stayed a second night inthat room. The plug sockets were either under a shelf or behind the mini fringe, for both you had to get onto the floor for access ans also the back of the fridge was hot to touch when gaving to move it slightly to use the sockets behind it. The communual areas of the hotel were lovely and the breakfast is great if your don't have any dietry requirements. Most of the staff were polite and friendly but there were 2 that just looked at you when you said hello and good evening even when we said it in turkish.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Best location in Konya if you’re visiting Rumi’s tomb and museum. Central and easy to find location. The staff and management treat you like family from the moment you walk in. Their indoor cafe makes the best lattes I’ve had in Turkey and has charming ambiance to entertain guests. What a lovely hotel! The staff are so friendly and helpful, from the moment I arrived in my taxi where I was greeted and helped with my bag, until I left and one young man crossed the square to get a taxi for me. Thank you.
I cheaply upgraded my room to one on the front with a lovely view of the square, it had everything I needed for a great stay, including housekeeping and a decent breakfast.
There is a major building project on the square, it has to be done I suppose. The hotel has very good double glazing so it didn't bother me.

This is a decent little hotel, if funny in some ways. It’s a quite dark, hard to make out exactly what decor they are going for, and the wi-fi is not up to my own expectations so if that’s an issue for you then this is a no-go.

On the plus side, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is very well located for touring around, cafes, and touristic shopping. And the price is right.

The hotel’s location is fantastic, best in the area, with direct view towards the Museum. The breakfast was very delicious, and the service, welcoming and professional.
The owner Mr Abdullah is very welcoming and ensures the satisfaction of the customers. Would recommend to anyone visiting Konya, as the hotel is quite affordable and upto standard.
Stay here is very convenient even for international visitors (those who dont know Turkish), as the owner, staff and managers here understand English, whereas most of the locals cannot speak or understand English.

We were traveling from the USA and stayed in Konya to visit the museums. We chose Hotel Baliklair because of its positive reviews and location. Hotel staff was very hospitable. We stayed here for 3 days with kids and we can say it was a comfortable stay. The hotel is located across from Mevlana museum which is hardly a 5 minute walk. Breakfast is included and they will make eggs according to your preference. Hotel provided any help we needed. Highly recommend this hotel.

I don’t think any hotel has a better hotel than this hotel. Steps away from the melvana museum, excellent dinning options around. Breakfast was lovely and the staff was the best I have even seen. Exceptionally kind and helpful, go out of their way to make you stay comfortable. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. Abdullah the owner is a treasure, extremely knowledgeable about food and Konya itself.

a short but memorable stay

We stayed just one night but we enjoyed the beautiful view of the mosque from the window. The manager offered us Turkish tea/coffee when we arrived. The hotel is perfectly located on the main square and the staff was very nice and helpful. Great value.
