When I arrived on a very hot day, the hotel was like an oasis. My lovely light filled room looked out onto a shady, green courtyard (where breakfast and other meals were served).Dried apricots, raisins and walnuts were provided as a snack in my room on my arrival, which was a very welcome surprise.
Hich Hotel is also in a perfect location, being right next door to the Mevlana Museum.
Staff were brilliant. Super helpful with everything.

This is an utterly charming hotel! Bare bones, but comfortable, clean, welcoming and everything you would want on your visit to Mevlana. You can see the tomb from your room. The hotel is literally on the street of the tomb area. You can feel the sweetness of the ziyara right there. The beautiful patio is a perfect place to be quiet and reflect, read a book, write in your journal, or gather with your companions to enjoy the day. The staff are wonderful. The food is absolutely terrific. I know someone who did a retreat here for a longer stay and I can see why.

The Hich hotel is a beautiful hotel in a lovingly cared for elegant older building. The bathrooms are modern.

We had an amazing view of the breakfast garden and museum. Our room was stocked with free beverages, walnuts and art books. At bed time we were treated to warm milk and cookies.

I have rarely felt so welcome and comfortable in a hotel. Loved it.

Service was amazing, especially the older guy on late night shift. He was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel terrace is very nice, and perfect for late night Turkish Tea. The hotel actually provide a traditional local dinner, which we found out after we already had dinner. At late night, there was also a surprise service in the name of warm milk and cookie deliver to the room!

The view from our room was amazing, and the room itself was the very definition of boutique.

As for parking, there is a big lot near the hotel.

Highly recommend for those who is looking for hotel in Konya.

I have stayed in numerable properties world wide for last 40 years. I can easily rate my experience with Hitch Hotel as the worst ever.

Our 3 couple friends have the same opinion. We two were given roons without AC. On our complaint Hotel staff changed our roons. Means they had the rooms but they didn't allocate in first instance. Then Air Con was not working. I took quite an effort to get the hotel staff in room to check.

In shifting I forgot my Perfum in SU room. I immediately and then repeatedly brought to attention of staff but of no consequence.

My room was never cleaned during my 2 nights. I repeated pointed out to administrative staff but of no consequence.

There were many more frustrating monents.
I will never recommend anyone to stay in Hitch Hotel, ever.

Cute & quirky small hotel in an excellent walking location to many important places. Staff spoke a bit of English and were very helpful. Breakfast was lovely and served in a covered patio area. Since we happened to arrive there on a 3 day religious holiday many things were closed including all the “bazaar” area. But you could still walk around the mosque & museum. This is also the area the Whirling Dervishes are from but again because of the holiday they did not perform.

What a lovely setting, and what care the staff at the Hich took to make our experience lovely. we came to the Hich so that we could see the history, the culture, and the foundations of religion here. All of that was literally steps away. But what we did not fully expect was the beauty of this place and the care the the staff took to assure that every need was met. Our room was idyllic, we were so well cared for, and to cap our evening in Konya, warm mllk and fresh baked, warm cookies arrived in our room before bedtime, This place understands hospitality, detail, cleanliness, and service. Thank you to the Hich for making our family holiday so special.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel has a wonderfully positive vibe. The designs and architect of the building reminds you of the old ages but everything looks clean and well maintained.
The quietness and the atmosphere, in, and around the property provides an ambiance so you can enjoy your time in Konya.
The front desk receptionist and other employees were super nice and polite!
Their breakfast was amazing!
I highly recommend this hotel.

Very Disappointed

Though the hotel is located right in the heart of Konya and in a very walkable area, we were really disappointed with our stay. The property was not in great condition and our room smelled terribly when we walked in. We think it was the mothballs (?) in our bathroom sink. The door to our room was very hard to close and we woke up in the morning to leaks in our bathroom and bedroom—all of the windows were leaking as well. As a result of the leaks our room lost power (though the rest of the hotel did not) and so we woke up with no lights, wifi, etc. We were so disappointed we left without sitting down to breakfast, which was included in our room price.

Room with very low furnitures quality not even being commercial grade. Room door locks residential type and very unsafe. Took more than half an hour just for a shower due to water presure and not enough water available.

I would not choose another hotel in Konya

This was my 2nd time in Hich. Undoubtedly one of my best experiences. A beautiful old house, converted into a classy & tastefully decorated small hotel with spacious rooms (that get a lot of light and air), Hich gives you a wonderful & peaceful experience in Mevlana city. I have stayed in 3 different hotels in Konya, and Hich BY FAR takes lead. It's located right across from Mevlana Muzesi. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard with very nice light music being played throughout the day. There are many great books in different languages placed in different areas of the hotel. Breakfast is delicious and generous. On top of all this, another factor that multiplies your blissful experience is the welcoming attitude of the staff.

The Manager - Gizem always has a smile on her face and strives to provide you the best experience. She took care of me from the check in to check out, in an unprecedented fashion. I reached 3 hours before check-in time just to see which room I'll be able to get. She immediately offered me check-in since the room was ready. The check-in process was seamless and literally took 2 minutes. She also ensured that all my requests were attended right away. One can see sincerity in her attitude and a real aim to do the best for her guests. Unlike other hotels, she ensures you do not get a commercial type experience. Rather it's very personalized and homely.

Hich feels like a second home and I would love to stay there everytime I visit Konya. No brainer!

A very good location to stay when visiting Mevlana, if u get Mevlana view. I had trouble in getting room I paid for. Glad I went there 2 days b4 check-in (while staying in Araf hotel). However, the guy at reception did not offer me what I had paid for. He did not know English so we communicated via Google. He kept on saying the room I booked for wsn't available. I kept on insisting. He refused but another employee Umair helped me out. He called the GM but they still refused. They offered street facing room- I refused. I did not give up & asked 4refund. They refused - I said I m going to cancel with Expedia or dispute with bank. It was then, Mevlana view room suddenly became available & they showed me. GM talked to me & said that actually it was due to language issue (even though it was not as we were very clearly communicating via Google). This just gave a bad taste. While staying there I saw a very commercial attitude esp compared to Araf where I saw reflection of LOVE which is in air due to Mevlana.

Service is very slow- perhaps because they are understaffed. The shower stall door was broken and they did not fix it.

Other than above, the hotel is good. Great breakfast. Nice old building. Next to Mevlana museum. Nice, white, tastefully decorated rooms. I would like to stay again but hoping the commercial attitude is replaced with that of love and care to match Mevlana's city.

Our short stay felt like an episode of 'Faulty Towers' (For those old enough to remember). The hotel receptionist was also the cook and the waiter. It seemed there were only maximum 4 staff members for the entire hotel. Most of the time we only had two, thus the duel roles. As you can imagine, service suffered as a result.

Our room was clean but very basic and a little inconvenient. The blinds have gaps to each side which means you need to be a bit careful when getting changed. There are no ceiling lights so the room is dark, despite the few spot lights and wall lights. The bathroom was spacious, but the toilet bidet didn't turn off and there was a constant noise in the room which I think was coming from the pipes. The key to the door is cumbersome. It is a normal lock but the hotel decided to attach a giant iron key to it, but it's just annoying to carry around.

The breakfast was okay when they didn't run out of things like cereal, or when the bread is not stale because its been out from the day before or when you ask for fried egg and get scrambled egg instead.

There are lots of books to read, but only if you can read in Turkish. There is a projector in the canteen that has a few plush tables with cushioned wooden seats, whilst the rest of the canteen has metal tables and chairs.

Friendly hotel with nice rooms. The garden is lovely and was the perfect place to enjoy an extensive, lazy breakfast. The hotel is five minutes walk from the Mevlana Museum and ten minutes walk to the Mevlana Culture Centre. Abdoz, the Manager, was very happy to provide local advice ... and an extra cup of coffee. Taxis at the airport know the hotel. Getting back to the airport with a taxi from the hotel is easy.

My wife loves Persian poetry and mystic and Rumi is her favorite. This hotel is less than 5 minutes walk to Rumi's mausoleum where she visited few times during our 1.5 day visit to Konya. Hotel has young and friendly staff.

The hotel is beautiful. The location is great. The staff are very very helpful. The only issue is that some o the rooms (especially on the courtyard) are not well insulated against noise and this can make it impossible to sleep past 8am. Some of the issues the hotel can't control (mosque nearby) and some they can (music in the courtyard). Overall a fantastic hotel but not a good place for sleeping in late.

I had been fortunate to travel so many places and stayed in so many Hotels. Hotel Hich and the staff been beyond my expectation. The hotel was spotless clean and the interior design was warm and inviting. Staff made sure they took care of each of us, food was so fresh and clean. If I could, I would give 6 star to this hotel . Its very unique, cozy and precious gem right walking distance to Mevlana. I want to thank all the staff specially Mahtab and Dogan for treating us as a family member and made this trip a memorable one. I highly recommend Hotel Hich to all my friends and will be back if I go to Konya.

Stellar! Home away from home. It's magical!

I stayed at Hich for few days and rank it as one of the best places I've EVER stayed at (and I travel extensively). The rooms are beautiful and spacious, the staff is above excellent, especially Abdoz, who made sure that everything was as I needed it to be and gave suggestions and recommendations always with a smile! The food was really good and the breakfast was such a wonderful surprise (go in hungry!), the location is perfect as you are in the heart of Konya. More than all this though Hich manages to make you REALLY feel at home. It goes beyond what a boutique hotel is. I will be back again and you would make a mistake if you went to konya and stayed somewhere else!!! :)

The hotel is so beautiful and cozy, from the beautifully decorated rooms, to the view on the Mevlana and the beautiful courtyard and the delicious breakfast. The staff is so caring and welcoming, and I would like to say thank you to Abdullah in particular, who was so nice and helped us book our bus ticket to our next destination. The cutest kittens live in their courtyard and the overall atmosphere is so peaceful and relaxing. The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance of konya's centre. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and I would highly highly recommend it.

Will definitely stay there again

I stayed at Hich for two nights. I absolutely love the simplicity and originality of the hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the location is ideal. It is within a three-minute walk to Rumi's mausoleum.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside, the hospitality is amazing and the reviews/ratings make sense. Loved the room and the fusion between old and new. Spacious and clean. Really close to the Mevlana museum - which is what we came for. Didn't have any whirling dervishes on that day though (Monday)

Most Amazing Hotel in Konya

Our room had a beautiful view of Rumi's tomb, the hotel's breakfast is by FAR the best we've had anywhere in the world, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel's name and theme are based on the last stage of a Sufi's spiritual attainment where they achieve oneness with God and become 'hich', or nothing. The amazing, healthy and very generous breakfast is served in the basement cafe, which also has a library boasting all kinds of books (we left a book we were reading behind accidentally, and it was added to the library after we contacted them about it).

The hotel is wonderfully retro and has an amazing decor, a comfortable blend of modern and classic. It is located just steps away from Rumi's tomb and museum and the rest of the attractions of downtown Konya.

We were extremely pleased with our experience at Hich Hotel Konya and highly recommend this hotel for anyone to stay.

A boutique oasis and haven for travellers!

Perfect location opposite Mevlana Museum and near city centre and grand Bazaar.
Gorgeous thoughtfully designed, fitted and decorated boutique hotel. Excellent tea and coffee making facilities in our room with REAL coffee and a pod machine! Bliss!
Breakfast was stunningly presented on fitted trays for two. Coffees made to order with hot milk on the side. A library, music and complimentary mineral water supply: sparkling and non sparkling. Gorgeous garden area. Very thoughtful and helpful manager who helped me with putting credit on a Turkish SIM card !

Its a very artistically done hotel, with lots of care about details, loved the clock that runs backwards, and the dinning hall is quite something, not to mention the scrumptious breakfast. The staff is wonderful!!

why go to konya?

don;t go to konya- they are milking sufism and turning the place into a disneyland. I was there in January and it was hideously cold and icy. Terrible food, nothing worth a visit.

Best Accommodation in our 16 days trip

Was pleasantly surprise by the hotel interior setting and the very beautiful and comfortable room. Very homely and well equipped. The breakfast and the cafe was really great. Regret that we can only stay 1 night. Would really love to return to this place again. It's the best hotel so far for the price we paid. Excellent place.
