We enjoyed our stay. One issue was the cleanliness of the room. The coffee maker was nasty and so was the pull out bed. We checked in super late and had no sheets for the bed but I called the emergency number and an extremely police and helpful young man helped me out. Also please put some curtains in the bedroom. The room was super bright first thing in the morning.

The layout of the room was really nice and quiet.

However, there was pet hair all over the bed cover & furniture. The room reeked of stale cigarettes. The air quality in the room was extremely stuffy. I’m assuming there may be mold somewhere in the room. My boyfriend had an asthma attack and had to go to Parkridge North E.R. - due to him not being able to breathe in the room.

There are also people living on the premises. As in this is their home. Tried to go to the courtyard to relax but the tenants had their room doors wide open and looking at your every move. So that was quite awkward.

Overall, the room was ok but it was not worth a trip to the emergency room- triggering an asthma attack.

I never write reviews, but this time I feel it is necessary! The receptionist at check in was awesome and the coffee in the lobby was delicious! At first glance the room is as pictured in the app. The building is secure, as you need your key card to open the outside doors. But that is the extent of the positive aspects of this hotel! For second floor rooms, the wagons they provide to assist in getting your luggage to the room are not helpful, as they don’t have an elevator. I couldn’t use the back entrance, because the key card sensor looked like it had been removed and had exposed wires hanging…. For the actual room itself, starting with the kitchen… The pictures only show the cabinets fully stocked with dishes for 4, however we only had a couple of each item. There was an oven in the room, but didn’t have a single baking sheet or oven safe dish to cook in. The coffee pot had a filter with moldy grounds and build up in the pot itself. One of the glasses in the cabinet looked like it had some brown, sticky soda spots in the bottom. As for the rest of the rooms, there were just a few things here and there…. We didn’t pull out the sofa bed, but the recliner had what I assume to be a red wine stain down the whole side of the arm rest. The shower curtain had some black and red spots on it. Other than that the linens and beds were clean. They didn’t enforce any quiet times as stated… kept up til after 2 and got woke up at 6. At check out we waited 15 minutes for them to show up.

Great If You Have Pets and/or Need Long-Term Stay

My stay here was great. They have large carts that help with bringing in belongings, and a Food Lion grocery store right across the parking lot to shop at.

The kitchen could use some updated kitchen utensils and pots/pans but it was adequate to cook a few meals.

My sofa was very uncomfortable because the cushions angled down a lot, but there was an armchair that was usable.

The bed was a little softer than average and comfortable.

I had internet issues (only in my room), and the staff went above and beyond to fix it.

Seems like a place with some long-term tenants and some short-term. No noise complaints from tenants or roads. I did occasionally hear a train horn, but it wasn't super close.

This property is pet-friendly.

Actaully we did not stay at Stay Apt Suites. We found out four days before the stay that our reservations was cancelled. We had called on Monday to pay for the rooms only to be told the they dont have any rooms for us. We had confimed and booked two rooms months in advance.

This was the second time, they cancelled the rooms. The last time we did not know until we arrived to check-in that

Sorry, but Stay Apt Suites needs to do a better job of communicating. I would not be booking at Stay APt Suite again.

We stayed at this hotel on our return trip from Florida. We don't need fancy but we do require clean and safe. I called ahead the day prior to ask if a pack and play was available. Deb was absolutely fantastic and her customer service was top notch on the phone, letting me know she had one for use.

When we arrived, check in was relatively swift and we went immediately to check out our room before loading up all of our stuff to bring it inside from our vehicle.

Upon entering the room, it had a musky odour and we could tell the cleaning job was sub par. No biggie, we travel with Lysol wipes so I could clean up fairly quickly. Upon entering the bedroom, immediately upon looking at the bed, it appeared made but the sheets and bedding were covered with hundreds of little black dog hairs. I went and spoke with reception and she apologized and said she would send someone to change the bedding immediately; which she did. The floors were filthy and upon wiping the counters, my Lysol wipes were nasty. We were exhausted and just wanted to sleep.

As my husband and I started to set up the pack and play for our baby, we realized it was missing its legs/wheels and could not be used as it would not unfold properly. This sucked because it should have been looked at prior to putting it in our room. There was no other for use.

This suite has SUCH potential, if only the cleanliness standards were taken up quite a few notches. We would definitely stay here again if that was addressed.

The room its self was nice and large and the sitting area was divided from the bedroom. Loved this! The bathroom was large, but as a lot of other reviews stated the soap dispensers were not filled & it was hard to get replacement towels. I don’t like having to use the same towel for more than a couple days, gorse. There were no kitchen utensils/pots as pictures led to believe & there was nothing stated as to whether these items could be checked out at the front desk & since the front desk had limited hrs this was pointless for me anyway. There were bugs in my sinks every morning. This is probably what bothered me the most. I don’t like seeing bugs in my sink. Especially when there is no food or dirty dishes in the sink. I will NEVER stay at this chain again or recommend it due to this.

Had to do \"After hours\" check when arriving after 7 PM when the hours listed were 8 PM. Had to call twice to ensure I got my lock box code and knew what lock box to use. Room was dusty and shower felt like I may step through the bottom of the tub. Full kitchen but only utensils provided and one plate. Microwave worked but would not rotate because of a broken part. Will not stay at this brands hotels again.

A lot of little things weren't right

Our key cards didn't work to get us in the room. A maid let us in with her card. Went back to the office at 5:00 to tell them and no one was there...home for the day. We rigged up the door so we could go out for dinner and get back in. Room was dusty and there was no shampoo and soap in the dispensers in the shower. One remote control didnt work for the TV. A lot of little things werent right.

Property needs to communicate better

Office was closed when we arrived but had a sign posted that they were open till 8 pm. The key was in a lock box Asked for new sheets for the room but the cleaning staff had no fitted sheets only flat and we had to make up the bed our self. Asked for new towels and wash cloths towels were bought but never received wash cloths. In check out day no one was in the office no sign posted and the hotel door was locked to our room at 8 am when the check time was by 11 am. Just would have been nice if someone communicated to me about the things that were going on.

Our party of four did not get our two rooms as requested, two kings next to each other for a two-night stay, however, one was a king (accessible) adjoining a queen apt. Our king had no closet, no hangers, no luggage rack, no kleenex. The biggest problem was the shower....After my husband showered Friday night (5/24/24) water went all over the bathroom floor. There was no bathmat and we resorted to mopping up the water with towels and still we tracked water into other areas of the apt. slipping several times. We found that the bottom edge of the shower curtain was approximately 3\" above the lip of the shower and well outside the shower itself, so that water went all over the bathroom floor. I took pictures! The water continued dripping on the floor for quite some time and so did our mopping. NO ONE WAS IN THE LOBBY TO SEND HELP! I had to shower in the adjoining apt. bathroom to avoid another disaster! We needed more towels and couldn't get any until we reached Maurice Saturday morning. He brought towels and said he would tell the general manager our bad experience and the problem so that it can be corrected for the next party. Maurice offered a change of rooms, but we chose to stay put for one more night and forego showering.
This truly is an unsafe situation and needs to be corrected!
I asked for compensation in the form of a reduced price for our stay and was told the general manager would make that decision and I needed to go to Expedia with my concerns.

The positive:
Nice set up. Nice kitchen. We liked how quiet it was. All the doors face inside and open into a nice courtyard with a BBQ set up.

The negative:
There isn’t anyone in the office at night. If you arrive late they will text you with a lockbox code and if you have any problems you text that number.
There was a dead cockroach in the bathroom. The dispensers of shampoo and body wash were completely empty. There was no soap to wash your hands.
The mattresses were both very uncomfortable and lumpy. The blankets on my bed smelled like urine. So did the floor around my bed. It could be because they allow pets. I didn’t take a pet and we stayed on the top floor but it looked like all the pets were on the bottom floor. I wouldn’t stay again.

I loved the size of the unit that we stayed in, especially with kids. So much more roomy than a normal hotel room. Also, really enjoyed the courtyard area. It was nice to sit by the fire pit and relax while the kids played.

Only thing I was not a fan of was the beds. Our beds were a bit broken down.

Overall rooms appeared clean. However, the bathroom toilet had remnants of urine in the crevices of the seat. And it was loose from the floor. All of the floor boards were warped. One the boards in the bedroom was literally lifted out of its place and was a hazard for serious injury. The staff was very pleasant. The rear entry into the building was never locked which was a security concern. The entry door closer was completely broken and dangling off the back of the door. So the door would not close on its own which was another security concern. Disadvantage there is no one physically on the property after 7PM to talk with in person. I was away each day for meetings and didn’t return each night until after 7PM when the staff was gone for the evening. Wish there was a way to get a refund.

My room had a very strong paint smell in it. The smell was so strong I had to leave. I was originally booked for two nights but after inhaling the smell & getting sick I just canceled my stay. I called the next morning once the office was opened & explained what I had experienced to the manager, he agreed to cancel the stay and refund be for the time I was there. I only stayed 1 hour because of the smell. Well they didn’t refund my stay. So I paid to get sick basically.

I had a room upstairs, there are no elevators, had to lug heavy suitcase up/down stairs. Front desk staff are very nice. Bed was comfortable. Towels were not so nice and not very absorbent. Overall, it was clean and is in a great location near gas stations, Walmart, Starbucks, fast food and highway. I would stay here again.

I love the idea of having a full kitchen, so this place was perfect. It had a court yard with a grill and sitting area. The sofa and living area was separated by bathroom n kitchen so it was semi- private. After hours checking was super simple. Only 2 floors ..so no elevator( if there was a down fall, this would be) suggest requesting 1 st floor if you can't do steps. I have already made reservations to stay there again in January.

This would be a 5-star review, but there were some very avoidable issues with this unit (#109).
1) There was a bad odor in our unit that smelled like rotted fruit.
2)The entry door was broken at the top right of the exterior, so it was extremely loud opening.
3)The tub was cracked and CHEAPLY \"repaired\".
4)Toilet paper holder was broken, and unusable upon arrival.
5) Those are the SMALLEST, allegedly, \"Queen-size\" beds I've ever slept in. Fairly certain they are in reality full-size.

My friend stayed in another unit and it was perfect, so it may just be luck of the draw,. All I can tell you is 109 is in bad need of some TLC.

Perfect for our weekend needs

This was our first stay at this hotel, and it was exactly what we needed to make our visit pleasant. The staff alerted me on check-in day when the office would close and was willing to set up a lockbox with our keys if necessary. The suite was clean when we arrived. The beds were comfortable. We did occasionally hear a siren-like blip sound which we couldn't quite figure out, but it wasn't so loud that it interfered with our stay. We appreciated that quiet hours are recognized and seemed to be respected by the other guests. Our only inconveniences were having three towels when there were four of us on the reservation (and the offices were closed once we arrived, so we could not request more) and a lack of hot water early on our check-out morning. We were visiting our son and his family who live nearby but don't have room for four extra people at their house. The location of the hotel is perfect--close to them as well as lots of food/shopping nearby and easy-access to I-75. We will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The room was clean and inviting. They are very friendly and even got our room ready early for us so we could rest after our 9 hour trip! The only complaint, which isnt really a complaint on the property, is that certain guests with their pets are super irresponsible and not respectful of others. There was a ton of people not picking up their pets poop and not leashing their dogs. We had our ESA dogs with us as well and otherwise, it is very dog friendly.

Overall, a good experience. The amenities are good, fitness room, full kitchen, granite countertops. My only complaints:
1. The was a little dirty, nothing world ending but one of the chairs had a little food residue on them, a few dust bunnies under the bed, and little things like that.
2. The walls were thin, I could hear the family next me laughing and talking at night. In APT Suites defense this violated their quites hours policy and I could have called the front desk if I wanted to get out of bed.

I'll stay there again, but come with different expectations.

Overall, I would rate our stay a 6 out of 10. The grounds were nicely kept and the staff was extremely courteous. The rooms come with complete full size kitchen appliances however, very limited kitchen supplies. We had 3 forks and 3 spoons for a family of four. NO paper towels for the kitchen no baking sheets or baking pans. We ended up having to buy most things for the kitchen just to use it. It rained while we there. The bottom of the floor under the bedroom window was covered in water while it rained. From the kitchen to the wet floor there were several things that made it hard to feel comfortable with our stay.

It was ok. The biggest problem for stay ATP is there’s no elevator. Stairs only. If you need to stay upstairs, it’s not easy to bring your stuff. Also the cleaning was not really good. My room’s trash bin was in the under the kitchen sink and there’s lots of prior customer’s trash.
Also there’s one small roach in my room. I had bug spray so it was ok but not really perfect.

This was the worst experience ever! They never answered the phone so I could get the lockbox code. We even messaged them through the app and eventually replied with \"I'm sorry, your reservation was cancelled\". No explanation or communication. I have yet to receive a refund because I can't get in touch with anyone.

APT was clean, comfortable, well set-up for stay. Only negatives I can say was the shower soap/shampoo containers were empty (but there was alternate stuff available) and no elevator.

We had a great stay at stayAPT Suites! I didn't receive any types of instructions or paperwork when we checked in, so I was unsure of what to do about trash and dishes before leaving. We also had an issue with the TV in the sitting area, but it was fixed within an hour of reporting to the front desk! Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful and we will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. There are tons of dining options for every taste and budget. If you decide to check out the square with restaurants, don't go on Sunday and most restaurants are closed or close early.

Lots of restaurants and shopping around the area. Manager was great! Common area was wonderful. Definitely needed a deep clean but the rooms were nice and spacious.

Hotel management cancelled our reservation the day before we were to arrive. They did nothing to find substitute lodgings, leaving it up to us to find a pet friendly hotel for labor-day weekend. We managed to do so, at an additional cost of $197.48. No compensation, (and as mentioned above, no assistance), was provided.
Though I understand they had a plumbing problem, that they simply washed their hands of us, (pun intended), is inexcusable.

We love this hotel/mini apartment. This was our second time staying. The location is convenient, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff is wonderful. We had an issue with our door latch, but it was already on the manager's list to repair. We were offered another room the next day after we checked in. Things to note when considering staying, there is no elevator. There are only 2 floors, but if you have a hard time climbing stairs, you will need to request a bottom floor room. There isn't a daily breakfast. I assume because you have a full kitchen. We saved money by not eating out. Things you need to bring with you, or buy when you get there: paper towels, hand soap, salt & pepper, etc. There is a Food City right next door (within walking distance) which is very handy. Because of the set-up, there are people that live there. It is dog friendly. There is a grill & courtyard, and we were able to use it each night. The laundry facilities are nice. It ook us about 30 m If you are staying the week, or several nights, I would highly recommend it. It isn't quite 2 years old, but there were some things my friends and I noticed that might need attention, like the lock, and some items missing. For instance my room didn't have a pizza cutter, but my friend's did. My room had a cooking sheet, but hers didn't. Our toilet ran sometimes & we would have to fix it. My friend's oven never stopped preheating. Not major things, they wouldn't keep me from staying again.
