Definitely not as advertised. It was a very strange check in and check out process. The window into our room was broken and once fixed still had huge gaps in between panes that let in lots of sound and bugs. The staff were friendly, but I would never stay here again. I’m grateful my booking was for only one night.

We did last minute booking as our flight was delayed. Appreciated the authentic local experience, very friendly people. Our only issue is we don't speak much Spanish, there were some confusion, but not too bad.

Mediocre at best

The service at Morgan restaurant was great! The service from the front desk was not very helpful. We had to inquire about everything (after check in) and when requesting things, (shuttle) we were told \"ok\" only to learn they are not sending a shuttle. Not helpful individuals at front desk when we were there.
Room was very small, cramped. Clean. Muggy (not sure if air was working properly). door handle was broken, (in the room not to the room) bathroom old and dingy, toilet didn't flush well. Not a terrible stay, however would not choose to stay here again.

There were lots of pools and beautiful gatdens. The villa was a little casita with cooking pots and pans and dishes. Everything you needed was there except food. The breakfast served by the Captain Morgan restaurant was excelkent and included. They came by ro do an inventory of dishes shgets, towels, etc right after I checked in and asked me ro sin it. However, when I went ro check out they did not want ro give me a signed copy saying wverything was atill there. I had to make a fuss ro make it happen.

The room was very disappointing. It looked like they gathered furniture from a garage sale. It was sold as a \"2 bedroom villa\". There was a kitchen area with a table that looked like it came from a conference room. No couch or living area. Really old bathrooms with cracked tile/corroded fixtures. Pool area was cute with activities for kids but need umbrellas for shade.

Decent place w good food and many amenities. But they try to Nickle and dime you for any fee they can get. I had paid for breakfast inclusive but they charged me anyway. When I complained to front desk they said I didn’t get free breakfast even though I showed them e mail that said I did. Eventually it worked out but then when we checked out they tried to charge me for things we never used. We just drove off. A decent place but poor front desk service

To us the issue originally was lack of internet that after some insisting we changed rooms. We also thought that breakfast besides being very basic, we would have to pay to refill a second cup of coffee. It is about 4 km from coco beach and therefore away from shopping or restaurants. It is about 14 km away from diamond eco adventure park and matapalo beach. We were able to see the white faced monkeys on this beach. Beach is nice and not rocky

I would not recommend this facility to anyone. We had a very small room with no window to the outdoors, light from the hallway flooded the room all night, no coffee supplied with coffee maker initially and afterwards not replenished nor were the cups and coffee maker washed after first use, no room number displayed on outside of building we had to ask four or five staff members before finding it, no hand soap supplied, on check in we were supplied with a list of the room inventory including sheets, pillows, television, even remote control batteries with replacement costs in case we took anything, on check out inventory had to be taken again before we could leave. My list could go on... It was a very unpleasant stay.

Spent New Year's in this very clean Villa, doesn't have a living room with sofa bed. No elevators for top floor, only walk up. WiFi was ok. Overall, beds are comfortable, there is hot water and met our needs for the four nights. Rental car recommended to travel to beaches. Playa Brasilito and Conchal the best! 45min drive.

The Nacazcol complex is great with a variety of lodging options available. There is a small convenience store and restaurant in the complex. Nacazcol is a few miles outside of Playas del Coco, but there are routine buses that travel into and out of town that stop directly outside the hotel area. There are also buses from the hotel stop to the airport in Liberia, which makes it convenient for travel. We really enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint was the noise; the walls are thin, so we could hear neighboring rooms and people outside late into the night.

Close to the beach not good experience

It is more cheap that near hotels but it is not a good service and not clean hotel and villas. The water pools are not clean with bugs and leaves. We saw animals like bugs and worms dirty water.
The service personal entered to the room without call really strange service.

The area is good. Lots of wonderful restaurants and shops. Playa de Coca has a great atmosphere, good grocery shopping. Close to the beach, about 5 Kim’s from hotel. Captain Morgan restaurant at the hotel has good food. The location is quite and staff friendly. Our room with two beds did not have room to open our suitcases.
They need to redesign the layout or take out one of the beds.
Still good value for what we booked. Safe hotel.

Location was as expected and 5 kilos from the Coco Beach. The staff struggles with english to the point that you miss out on most instructions for things like check in and out, nearby restaurants, but mostly all the things that the resort has to offer. For example, they have a nice property at Playa Panama that you have access to. This info was passed on to me by Eddie, our waiter at the restaurant next door! If you know very little spanish, as I do, then this is probably not for you. A resort for locals for sure.

Desperation caused us to book

We had to find accommodation for a couple nites due to change in plans and we took this option. Not one I would choose again. The villa has a bedroom with a double and single bed and a living space/ dining/ kitchen with a futon. The AC was only in the bedroom. If we tried to lower the temperature, it spat out ice pieces. There was no hot water in the shower.
There were no english speaking staff and so it was hard to tell them what was going on.
Overall a disappointing experiance.

Not too far from Coco.

Only stayed here two nights but it served its purpose. Would like to come back with the family and try out the pools. Had a rental car so it was a quick drive to Coco. Tons on great restaurants and shops. Friendly locals on the beach.

Would not stay there again.

I spend 1 night there thinking it was a decent hotel as the place I usually stay was fully booked. At first the room was okay, however the a/c did not work properly, there weren't towels in the room and the internet is terrible.

Had a confirmed reservation through Hotels.com for 4 days from 12/26- 12/29. Got there and they said you only have 2 nights 12/27- 12/28 and come back tomorrow, good buy. Now it's 11pm and looking for a hotel in CR,not a good time. Never got to check in or even see the place, got turned away. Found a very nice at the Palms down the road, It was great, very nice and friendly not like the Nacazcol.

RIP OFF ALERT

Our one week stay required pre-payment through hotels.com so full payment was made in advance to hotels.com. Upon arrival at the hotel they claimed to know nothing about the reservation - Even after showing them the hotels.com confirmation and receipt and insisted on Additional payment to check in. (so ended up paying TWICE). We've requested a refund of what was paid hotels.com but they are refusing. We feel RIPPED OFF BY BOTH HOTELS.COM AND THE HOTEL. Additionally, rooms had bugs, run down, air conditioning did not work, staff speaks Spanish ONLY. (or so they claim).

This is a hot spot for locals. The \"villas\" are very old and in need of much repair.

Our kitchen had only a hot plate and no hot water coming in out of the faucet--no water at all so it wasn't connected. We had to boil water to wash dishes. There were bugs everywhere because the place was pretty much wide open to the outdoors. There was in fact a birds nest in the kitchen and feathers in the dish rack. AC only in the bedrooms and very little space or furniture to do anything else. The staff however was excellent. Big parties went on the the Spanish speaking staff had entertainment going all the time for the children, which sounded like they were having a ball. I however was not.

Good if there are no more options

Every cab ride to Coco was expensive. I wish I had stayed in Coco town and thus have more options for dining and bars. The room was super tiny, very uncomfortable. Shower with no curtain or door. Big mess after a single shower. It is very loud. Restaurant was expensive. I paid for a stake what I pay at a nice restaurant in the US. Picture of the pool doesn't belong to that location. The pool belongs to another resort to which one can freely commute. I wanted to add and extra night because didn't want to bother moving to another hotel. They wanted to charge me more than a nice hotel in vegas for an extra night. The room was clean and had good cable TV. No windows. Very cloustrophobic. Ok, it had a tiny window by the door facing a hallway. If you have not a great option, this might be ok.

We stayed 3 nights here. Interesting concept (little gated village with pools, bars, grocery, etc. Definately a place for kids. However, an effort should be made on cleaness, as multiples gekcos, ants and other bugs were present with us, obliging us to tape windows, screens and vaporising numerous anti-bugs stuff all around. Service at restaurant so so but food excellent. Some renovation would make this place as pleasant as it probably was years before.

I personally did not like the location or the Hotel set up. I try to stay away from Resorts and this one reminded us of one. It is weird that when you check out the staff comes first (they make you wait) and then make a count of all the gadgets in the room. I had never seen this before. The cool thing was to see the monkeys in the mango trees! The Restaurant was good too.

Instalaciones con falta de mantenimiento y piscinas sucias, cuentan con apenas lo básico y sólo tiene una plantilla pequeña y lenta para cocinar, una habitación tiene 2 camas pegadas porque no hay más espacio, las fotos son diferentes a la realidad. Uso de piscina limitado según el color del brazaletes, literalmente llegaron a sacarnos. El check out super lento, hay que esperar que lleguen a inventariar el menaje. No hay espacio para tender ropa. Buena ubicación

Priblemas para la fauna del lugar

En general el lugar esta bien equipado, se ofrecen amenidas pero es muy limitado lo que desarrollan. Hay un grave problema con gatos callejeros, hay decenas de ellos y son peligro para la fauna del lugar: aves, iguanas pequeñas, lagartijas, entre otros se pueden ver afectados por el ataque de gatos. Deberian atraparlos y llevarlos a algun refugio para darlos en adopción, de lo contrario los efectos en la fauna de la zona van a ser dramáticos.
