Water from the shower would spill onto the floor. Looked like a mini pool inside the room. We were given towels to soak up the water which wouldn’t help. People would slip and fall from how wet the floor would be. The water would spill outside the bathroom on to the room we would sleep in.

The staff, though nice, couldn’t stop the all night parties in the pool beside our room. Like 10pm to 6am.
Security was sent a couple times and they quieted down for a bit, but because they were drunk, they just carried on.

No TV in the room, no glasses (we had to beg for them in the hotel’s restaurant), no windows in the room (only on the entrance door), no mats on the concreted floor, no room cleaning service till you ask for it. The check in process was very slow. There is a lot of staff around, but they are not really efficient. The property is in need of renovation for sure.

Breakfast was fantastic and varied. Property was very clean though busy with loads and loads of guests. Amanda was very helpful to me. Location was a few minutes walk to the tram going to Christ the Redeemer Statue. Local transport bus station was also nearby.

This is a beautiful restored hostel, but as the same with hostel average cleanliness is not a priority even if you are in a private room. Specialy my room had a vintage door not sealing the frame, allowing all kind of mosquitoes get in to the room, not a pleasant night!

The building itself is a very interesting piece of historic architecture that has been modernized to house this hotel/hostel-complex. I especially loved the breakfast buffet, close to the pool area which invites you to chill during the day but you can also get some remote-work done in the quiet areas with excellent wifi. Last nut not least, the staff is very welcoming and helpful! It's been an absolute pleasure! Muito obrigado!

Amazing location and wonderful breakfast. A gem away from the buzz and stress of the city that is also within walking distance from the Cosme Velho station heading to Christ the redeemer. Check-in was extremely slow - it took us more than one hour to get our room - but I guess it was due to the high season situation. I would definitely stay here again! Totally recommend it.

It’s was the worst experience ever staying at this hostel. It’s a place run by inexperienced staff, rude to the point of insulting the guests, offering bad quality food, bkfast with rotten fruits, no daily cleaning in the rooms, no face towels or soap in the washing basin. Fire alarm went off 5 times during the night till 4 am. Pool is used by non guests, rain water comes inside the room, no restaurants or shops nearby. Avoid this place !

Mas alguns pontos negativos são bem graves, o horário de check in é bastante tarde e o de check out bastante cedo, totalizando horas inferiores às 24 horas.
O café da manhã é satisfatório, mas o preço cobrado separadamente, eu achei elevado.
Achei um absurdo o hotel não oferecer toalhas e devendo ser pagas separadamente no valor de 15 reais. Entendo que a proposta do local é ser um hostel, mas o valor da diária do quarto compartilhado não foi tão baixo, paguei um valor considerável na data em que fui e se eu quisesse teria que alugar uma toalha. ???, também só forneceram um lençol, logo você cobre a cama e se cobre com o quê? É tão absurdo que chega a ser surpreendente quem achou essa política uma boa ideia.
Por sorte eu basicamente não dormi. Então os problemas foram um pouco minimizados.
Enfim, voltaria a me hospedar no local, mas sabendo desses defeitos bem graves.

O quarto (privativo) tinha bastante areia (inclusive nas camas) e não ficou claro quando/se ocorriam limpezas durante a minha estadia. Os preços praticados pelo hotel em itens de conveniência são bastante elevados (um energético na praia é mais barato que no Jo&Joe). Não há um local adequado para trabalhar, caso você precise (os espaços permitem uma boa conectividade, mas não são silenciosos o suficiente, caso você esteja na cidade exclusivamente para trabalho). Os quartos não possuem um frigobar (o que dificulta quando você precisa manter medicação refrigerada).

Todo bien en general, la recepcionista que nos atendio en la noche creo estaba un poco de malas y lo 2do, el buffete se termina entre semana a las 10am y si tienes hambre pues ahi no te pueden ayudar ya que la cocina abre de nuevo a las 12 del dia.

Em janeiro de 2026, nos hospedamos em um quarto privativo para duas pessoas. O quarto era ótimo e, embora não seja grande, atende bem. Porém, sentimos falta de ventilação natural (ficamos no quarto 23). Além disso, nem todos os quartos possuem frigobar, o que era uma necessidade para nós. Por isso, acabamos ficando em um quarto que não permitia ventilação natural e tivemos que depender do ar-condicionado para manter o ambiente minimamente ventilado, o que deixou a estadia desconfortável.
No geral, a equipe deixou a desejar, com exceção da Mariana, que ficava no hall de entrada durante a noite/madrugada — ela foi impecável. O serviço de quarto também não atendeu bem: solicitamos duas vezes e só vieram na terceira solicitação.
Além disso, houve divergência no preço de uma garrafa de água de 1,5L: em um dia cobraram 10, no outro 12 e, em outro, novamente 10 (com atendentes diferentes). Por fim, a máquina de secar é muito cara e frequentemente apresenta bugs, o que atrapalha bastante.

Sugiro fazer isso após o almoço, visto que, estamos no verão, numa cidade turística, as pessoas chegam tarde da rua. Achei desnecessário! Fora isso, achei que o valor cobrado não vale a experiência!

No dia 01 pela alta demanda ficou em falta várias comidas do restaurante, mas pelo menos a água foi rápida a reposição.. tirando esses dois detalhes foi tudo perfeito!

Ficamos em quarto compartilhado e em um quarto duplo no último dia, tudo muito bem organizado, limpo e com um ótimo atendimento, recepção e café, pessoal muito educado e solícito, padrão hotel! Áreas comuns e piscinas são a cereja do bolo, o melhor hostel em que já me hospedei!

Achei quase tudo impecável, porem a Internet no quarto 78 era impraticável. Também achei que o quarto privado poderia ter tido um pouco mais de conforto, sobretudo uma mesinha para decorar os pertences pois ficaram quase todos no chão (éramos duas pessoas). Fora isso foi tudo maravilhoso!

Un lugar amplio, tranquilo y bonito, pero con una higiene deplorable, no te cambian ni te dan diariamente sábanas, los baños muy sucios, en el tiempo que estuve ahí no se veía limpieza, habia un pelo pegado en la pared de la regadera de un metro desde que llegué, que a mi salida, seguía ahí, hay telarañas en el techo, te dan una sábana a tu llegada y un \"cobertor\" con cobertura (que huele mal), me percate de que no habían hecho la limpieza ya que al mover el colchón cayó un frasco con polvo color blanco vacío y basura de dulces, el personal de cafetería y bar muy groseros, pedí comida a las 20 (cerraban a las 21) y me dijeron que ya no me podían atender.
No hay contenedores de basura en los lugares principales, encontré unos en la parte trasera y ahí depositaba mi basura.
La chica de recepción que me atendió a mi llegada fue amable, al salir el chico también fue amable y el checkout fue muy rápido, los demás parece que disfrutan burlarse de los extranjeros (principalmente de los que no hablan portugués).
Tiene excelente ubicación, me pude transporta a muchos lados ya que está a 3 minutos de la terminal Cosme Velho (autobuses), también está a 10 minutos caminando de la estación de Trem do Corcovado (te lleva al monumento Cristo Redentor) lo malo es que está lejos del aeropuerto.
En general sería un lugar mejor si cuidan el factor principal que es la higiene y atención al cliente, al tratarse de un hostel (entrada continua de personas) la limpieza debería ser el doble.

No geral a experiência foi muito boa. Atendimento incrível, acomodação boa, café da manhã bom... A única coisa ruim foram os mosquitos. Acredito que o hotel deveria disponibilizar repelente, ou pelo menos avisar no momento do check-in sobre a quantidade de mosquitos para quem tem alergia. Tive dezenas de picadas e isso atacou uma alergia que fizeram meus pés ficarem inchados e com muita dor.
