Lots of noise and chaos, the room is incredibly small, the A/C you couldn’t regulate it was a straight freezer in there with no proper bed sheets to cover yourself at all. The breakfast was subpar. I took a triple room. But if you are more than one person they charge you extra per person which makes absolutely no sense since I booked a TRIPLE. Overall I feel completely scammed out of my money. It’s an OK hotel. The breakfast is not great, but at least it is included. The hotel doesn’t provide shampoo or body wash, which is ridiculous in my opinion. I’d rather have basic necessities than a pool and breakfast. The location is very central and busy and there’s a lot of things around, which is nice. But it’s not the safest area.

Overall the property was ok. Location was convenient with supermarket and cheap food available close by. But looked a bit unsafe especially in the night. when we landed in the night the corridor carpet was stinking - though it did improve after cleaning next day. The rooms are decently sized but the lift can only accommodate 2 at a time and my kids could not open their windows with AC fixed behind. The breakfast was average and exactly the same for all 6 days of our stay. There were fruit flies on the not too fresh fruit and one day I found a small cockroach on my plate.

The swimming pool looked clean though small and though we didn't use it. The fitness centre also looked small but functional.

Kudos for their renovating and keeping a historical building in downtown Rio. Nice jobe, rooms are very pleasing at least the ones facing the street which have some interesting view to Santa Tereza Hill. There are some facing the inside of the building meaning no light if in lower floor especially. Breakfast was good with all the staples you'd expect including nice granola and your must have tropical papaya and American style scramble pretty decent one by the way. I like the location very much having been to Rio plenty I find it refreshing being in a neighborhood with mostly locals and of the non pretentious kind. Plenty of botecos, bars, make sure you try the rotisserie chicken platter across the street one block to the left at the Cazota Bar, one of the best ever! To the right make first left for Dom Galeto for the best pork ribs I've had all in the best laid back rio style without the frenzy of the Zona Sul

Tem muita escada, então não possível para pessoas que tem problemas de mobilidade. (Importante saber isso)
Sistema de chaves (cartões magneticos) antiquado, pois toda vez que sai tem que entregar na recepção e na volta pedir um.novo, mas frequentemente tem fila e poucos funcionários para atender.
Quando alguem está fazendo check in e só tem um recepcionista, vc fica um bom tempo esperando, o que aconteceu comigo.

Sobre a acomodação, o filtro do ar condicionado estava muito sujo e, para duas pessoas, o quarto e boxe se torna pequeno.

O preço é muito bom e a localização é boa. Café da manhã vale a pena. Mas a rua é bem movimentada, barulhenta e as janelas não seguram o som externo. A limpeza pela manhã também faz bastante barulho no corredor.

Academia bem simples, a esteira horrível, mas tem bicicleta e elíptico.
O café da manhã poderia ter mais opções, principalmente suco natural da fruta.

Pra quem vem de carro, deu pra estacionar na rua bem próximo, no bairro de Fátima.
Tem mercado em frente, comércios 24h, o Restaurante Casa do Peixe que é ótimo e na rua!

O café da manhã era repetitivo, sem variedades. O suco de laranja no segundo dia de minha estadia estava aguado. O pãozinho de queijo estava frio, apesar de estar em uma espécie de estufa. O único bolo que tinha sabor era o \"formigueiro\", os outros não eram saborosos. O apartamento que fiquei hospedado era muito barulhento. Acordei diversas vezes por conta do barulho. O serviço de manutenção demora muito para atender um chamado. Demorou aproximadamente três horas para vir desentupir o vaso e verificar a televisão. No chuveiro a água dispersa pros lados em vez de centralizar a caída d' àgua em cima de quem está se banhando (ou seja, não oferece um banho agradável).

Foi tudo muito bom! Exceto o serviço de despertar pela manhã. Solicitei 2 vezes com o recepcionista da noite para me despertar de manhã e para minha decepção não funcionou. Reclamei com o jovem magrinho recepcionista da manhã, nas duas vezes do ocorrido - ele numa atitude cinica - fingiu de desentendido. Muito lastimável!

Na janela do quarto ficam 2 exaustores de ar condicionado, o do próprio quarto e o do quarto ao lado. isso impede que a janela fique aberta e quando o ar esta ligado faz um barulho insuportável. os 2 ligados ao mesmo tempo é impraticável. mesmo com as janelas fechadas o barulho é terrível. Nos tivemos que escolher entre dormir com o barulho ou morrer de calor com o nosso ar desligado para diminuir o barulho, ja que o do vizinho ficou fazendo barulho direto.

O Hotel é antigo e parece receber pouca manutenção. Os quartos tinham rachaduras e banheiros infiltrações no forro. E os quartos dividem o mesmo controle de ar condicionado, o que é bem incômodo tbm. O hotel tem elevador, porém, somente a partir do primeiro andar. Os elevadores são horríveis, param sempre, e só pode duas pessoas por vez ou limitado a 140kg. Odiamos essa parte. O café foi ok. O Hotel dispõe de microondas e chaleira, próximo a recepção. E tem a opção de estacionamento no valor de 50 reais por dia. A estadia foi ok, apesar de estarmos com carrinho de bebê e com uma senhora com dificuldade de locomoção. E o checkin foi bem demorado, ainda mais q estávamos cansados da viagem. A localização é muito boa, perto da Lapa e de mercados, bares, farmácia.

A equipe foi muito cordial, o café da manhã era simples porém muito gostoso e limpo. No último dia fizemos no check out ao meio dia mas nosso embarque era só a noite, então a equipe guardou nossas malas e pudemos passear mais um pouco, no fim do dia ficamos nos sofás do saguão até dar nosso horário.
