The room was mostly clean. However, there was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, and on tile grout. Baseboards were coming loose from the wall. There was a dingy smell in the poorly lit hallway.

The hotel room was great. The reception staff was also very helpful & shockingly, she spoke perfect English. The rest of the country either refuses to speak English or cant. Whilst the hotel service was great, the neighbourhood is extremely sketchy. I didnt feel safe and would not venture out alone in broad daylight beyond the front porch of the hotel. The only reason to book this hotel is its close proximity to the Sambadrome.

The street leaving to the hotel looks and smells terrible, the rooms are not soundproofed, there was hair in the shower, the ac units are very loud, the customer service is terrible, the blankets were either torn or missing. Avoid unless you're desperate.

Great Value with Exceptional Hospitality

This hotel is a great value for the price! The accommodations are comfortable, and they offer a decent breakfast to start the day. However, what truly sets this place apart is the outstanding staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful, and goes out of their way to make sure guests have the best experience possible.

I stayed during Carnaval, and the hotel added such a fun and festive touch to the experience. They had adorable decorations, plus glitter and little trinkets for guests to use, which made the celebration even more special.

If you're looking for a budget-friendly stay with exceptional hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere, this hotel is a fantastic choice. I would definitely stay here again!

We booked last minute and this was affordable and in the city from the description. My allergies flared up with the big black mold patch in the washroom. We checked out 3 days early. Customer service was great. Breakfast had not many options. The area is not the best but close to the steps and some markets!

Located in Lapa, many restaurants, shops and super market within walking distance. The property was clean and the room was spacious. I stayed on the 12th I didn’t hear any noise or had any problems with my room. I usually stay in the Copa cabana beach area but the prices were expensive, so I researched the Lapa area and I was nervous after reading reviews about the homeless people and safety in the area. This hotel had a great rate per night so i decided to book the room. Uber is very affordable and safe in Rio De Janiero so getting around is very easy. On the second day I walked to the supermarket and eat at a few of the local restaurants and i felt safe during the day walking alone. Ruan at the front desk and the lady that worked with him they both displayed excellent service and offered assistance to help with anything that I needed during my stay. Arian spoke very good English. I would stay there again and I would recommend this property if you’re staying in the Lapa neighborhood. Thanks for everything!

Overall decent stay. We came from Canada so maybe our expectations were high, but I’ve stayed plenty places over my time. Good and bad, this wasn’t a bad experience overall. The staff was great, English not being first language we still got helped when needed. The safe batteries were a pain, the door swipe card also. Old tech… Two single beds that were kind of out dated, tossed and turned every night. Great water pressure and the breakfast was good. Enjoyed the jacuzzi’s and gym space. It’s in the heart of downtown. Homeless is not far but we came for the party and we were close to Lapa arches so it was great.

The hotel first of all it looks okay but nothing really works in the hotel the doors are in bad shape it doesn't close properly the front door of room the bathroom door so water comes out when you are taking a shower and settles water in the floor and the drain inside the shower its clugged. The staff the cleans the room don't do a good job
They made my bed once and left everything thing else dirty so I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone there are far much better place around the same area and more clean and better for the same amount of price or just a few dollars more.

A nice new hotel that's, unfortunatelly, based in a bad area (the whole city is a bad area, actually). The receptionist suggested some tours and we enjoyed one of them very much, for ~85$ we saw regular touristy Rio and had lunch in a local restaurant). Thank you Fabio. We would return if it were to be located in another city.

Comfortable room with intelligent pleasant design, pretty good Buffett breakfast and very friendly staff. Hotel is right in Lapa in a less busy street but a blk to the action. My only if is the front door wide open at night w security in the back of lobby watching TV. Keyed entry would be an easy solution.

I was very pleased with this hotel. Im a 33 year old single male that travels when he cans. Im a pretty simple man, but really appreciate a clean room, especially a clean bathroom. This was a very clean hotel with excellent staff (with front desk that spoke english), hotel room that was quant but comfortable. Bathroom was very clean with working hot water and excellent water pressure from the showers. The location was ok. Maybe a 10-15 minute ride to copacabana. There wasn't much around the area that I was interested in doing. They had a few gyms in the surrounding areas that everything I was looking for as someone who lifts weights (if thats important to you). I don't normally write reviews, but to be in a different country where sometimes standards suffer, I was very happy with the accommodations. Nothing extravagant, very simple, but very clean with good staff. I didnt need anything more

good value if you do not need a nice area

Good value for 3 star accommodations. Hotel seems pretty new, good wifi, rooms have safe good cable, & adequate breakfast, but area is unpleasant when compared to many other parts of Rio. The area is definitely not unsafe and I want to make that clear. I would be willing to return to the hotel but the neighborhood is run down.

O staff é muito solícito e simpático. Todos os funcionários foram muito simpáticos. A localização é ok pra quem precisa ficar no centro. Mas o quarto estava em péssimas condições. Banheiro mofado, paredes e cortinas sujas, e o pior: por algum motivo, o quarto estava \"suado\", muito úmido. O chão estava molhado o tempo todo, como se alguma coisa no controle de temperatura estivesse fora do normal. Detalhe: deixei o ar condicionado desligado pois não estava calor. O banheiro, quando entrei quarto (paguei mais caro pra checkin antes), tinha urina na privada. Lamentável.
As comodidades se resumem a dois sabonetes pequenos.

No quarto em que ficamos (504) a porta do banheiro não fechava, e acabava por molhar todo o banheiro! Quando chegamos e fizemos o chek-in nos direcionaram para um quarto onde ainda a limpeza não havia sido concluída, e no quarto que ficamos, só havia uma toalha e não tinha cobertor, só após solicitar foi nos entregue por volta das 17 horas

Prédio imponente e ótima estrutura, mas a experiência foi abaixo do esperado. O check-in foi desorganizado o que resulta na demora do atendimento e tentaram me entregar um quarto inferior ao reservado. Após a troca, o que parecia resolvido virou pesadelo: encontrei uma barata no banheiro. Luxo na fachada, mas falha grave em serviço e higiene.

Realmente só não dei menos uma estrela primeiro pq não existe e segundo pq uma recepcionista foi extremamente querida.(Diadorin) uma fofa ❤️
Em relação ao quarto, estava sujo em especial o banheiro com box, espelho que foi mal passado um pano( a ducha higiênica tinha lodo, de tão suja) sem contar a descarga que não funcionava ( o número 2 só descia com pelo menos 3 descargas)
Sem contar o mofo na parede e teto do banheiro e quarto . ( a porta do banheiro tbm não fechava, como o compensado estava inchado não tinha como )
Só a cama que realmente era uma queen, mas os lençóis e travesseiros eram finos, mais pareciam uma hóstia . Tinha apenas 1 travesseiro pra cada e no hotel não tinha nenhum disponível ou manta pra usar no quarto, apenas 1 lençol fino pra cada pessoa.

Tiveram 2 quedas de energia, mas pelo menos o ar não queimou e conseguimos usar no quarto.
Já não posso dizer o mesmo das áreas comuns que não tinha ar condicionado e nem ventilador.
No café da manhã pior ainda, um calor do inferno e com goteiras no teto.
Sobre a comida, estava bem mais ou menos ( padrão hotel de no máximo 200 reais a diária)

A maior frustração em relação ao hotel, não é só pelas péssimas condições e despreparo em receber os clientes para o período de carnaval.
E sim pelo valor absurdo que mais mil reais por diária em padrão de hotel que obviamente condiz com as imagens ( inclusive as do café que são divulgadas aq, é bem inferior na variedade e qualidade). Frustrante.

Só colocavam 1 toalha no banheiro todo dia, mesmo tendo 2 pessoas no quarto, ai tem que ficar pedindo - o banheiro também não tinha pano de chão, ficava imundo após usar o chuveiro; não tinha edredom na cama apenas um lençol fino, acordávamos com frio no meio da noite, a recepcionista era simpática, mas no geral, não recomendo.

O quarto e o hotel estavam limpos! O ar condicionado funcionando! O café da manhã é simples, mas tudo bem saboroso, caprichado, bem feito! Os funcionários atenciosos! A ducha do chuveiro um espetáculo! Cama limpinha! Pontos negativos - os travesseiros muito pequenos, na minha opinião, incomodou para dormir! Além disso, as toalhas de banho precisam de reposição, pois estão velhas! No demais super recomendo!

Atraso no check in, cama suja, e fomos colocados em apartamento PCD para cadeirante. Meu filho e marido são PCD, mas são autistas e não cadeirantes, acho que isso ficou claro no check in. Após a espera para o check in subimos e deixamos as malas para descermos para irmos almoçar. Ao retornamos já a noite verifiquei que os lençóis da cama que foram trocados foram somente os de cima, mas os de baixo não. Como eu estava muito cansada tive que espanar os lençóis e dormir assim mesmo, pois eu não ia tolerar esperar a troca de lençóis que deveriam terem sido trocados.

Ficamos lá por dois periodos.

O primeiro, fomos alocados no 8° andar e foi ótimo. No segundo, ficamos no 3°, porém a chave deu problema. Deixamos na recepção para arrumar, e quando retornamos nosso quarto estava aberto.

Nos mudaram de quarto, desta vez para o 2° andar. No novo quarto, passamos algumas horas passeando e ao regressar estava infestado de baratas. Depois de quase 1h esperando, fomos realocados novamente, desta vez para o 9° andar.

A estrutura nos andares superiores me parece melhor.

Além disso, em alguns dias, o café não parece ter suportado a demanda. Talvez pela temporada específica.
