Arrived at 12am.I knew check in was at 2pm.I was waiting at the reception.I then asked the reception if I could leave my bag till 2.Rudely replied No.She said no space in there but she was then happy to keep other guest’s bags till 2.I then waited till 2 at the reception.It took receptionist 30 mins to get my room keys sorted.Only 1 very slow and extremely rude lady at the reception.I took a 15 hours flight prior.I was so tired.Rooms are boiling(A/C exist but don’t work properly),bedsheets were dirty and stinky.They charge you $2 for a bottle of water when you leave(not mentioned anywhere).It’s a scamming hotel,not 5 star maybe 2 stars,horrible horrible staff.

From the outside, the hotel looks lovely, and the breakfast offered a nice variety. Unfortunately, my room was not clean. I encountered black flies in both the bathroom and the room, and the bedding did not appear fresh. The A/C unit also didn’t seem to respond to temperature adjustments, and the elevator was noticeably dirty. While the rate is budget-friendly, I would not recommend this property based on my experience.

We had a 5 day stay here that awful!!! On night one I asked for five hangers and a laugage rack. This took 3 days. There was no cleaning service UNTIL I went to the front desk for the 8th time on the 4th day. Each time I was told I was in excellent hands. Boy on the 8th time I lost my cool at the desk. The toilet and bathroom had not been cleaned, the towels were beginning to smell, the untucked bottom sheet was no longer staying on the bed. We had enjoyed the beach on day one and it could be felt or heard as you walked around. The room was well air conditioned and the food service was absolutely worth the price: always excellent flavor and variety. Be aware that this hotel has a chain of command. First you have to tell the person who signed you in the it's the manager who absolutely USELESS
Next in command is the Assistant to the General Manager Carlos who listened an offered a free meal which it had taken up to the 5th day to get to. This was check out day. He also promised that should we return he would garuntee he would make sure our next stay experience would be an excellent experience. I do not know Assistant to the General Manager Carlos. We shall see, maybe????? Everyone can have a bad 5 days even the Alantico Prime Hotel.

Llegue al hotel y no encontraban mi reserva. Luego de mostrarles la confirmación x mail me dijeron que se había caído por un tema con el medio de pago y nunca me entere. I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and was very disappointed. The room was missing what I consider basic amenities: no mini fridge, no microwave, no hair dryer, and no iron. When I checked in, I noticed the bathroom floor towel was dirty with shoe marks. I requested room service on the 4th day, and all they did was hang the same towels back up instead of replacing them. The surrounding area felt a little unsafe, though we did find a nice bar and bakery just a 5 minute walk away.

This hotel is terrible, it’s located in a very unsafe neighborhood, and the hotel is dark and old, everything is old, the hallways are very dark. And even the mirrors on the stair walls are broken. They even charge R$30 if you want to put your luggage in their storage for a little while after you check out. It’s not worth the money even though the hotel charge low price. Not recommended

I cannot believe this hotel has a 4-star rating—it’s more like a 1-star at best! My experience at Hotel Atlântico Prime was beyond disappointing.

First of all, the cleanliness was non-existent. There were bugs and flies inside the room, especially in the shower—disgusting! The light fixtures were filthy, dust was everywhere, and it was clear that the room had not been properly cleaned in ages. I had to beg for towels and even for someone to clean my room, but they never did.

The service was just as bad, if not worse. The staff were rude and unhelpful. Breakfast was supposed to be until 10 AM, but at 9:55, they aggressively started removing all the dishes, not caring that guests were still eating. One staff member even prohibited a guest from ordering iFood after they had cleared everything out, even though people were still sitting in the breakfast area!

This is unacceptable, especially during Carnaval, when guests are exhausted and need food. People pay to stay here—this is not a free stay!

I have never stayed in a place in such terrible condition. Never again! If you're considering this hotel, RUN the other way. It does not deserve its 4-star rating—more like 1 star, and that’s being generous.

Minha experiência neste hotel foi terrível desde o começo. Eles tentaram me cobrar duas vezes no check-in. Os lençóis estavam sujos e coçavam, a pia do meu banheiro estava entupida e tive que solicitar manutenção três vezes antes que fosse consertada. Duas lâmpadas queimadas no meu quarto. Encontrei um morador de rua do bairro vizinho dormindo na escada da frente. E o pior de tudo, um dos faxineiros jogou fora um pertence meu. Relatei esse incidente à recepção e pedi para falar com o gerente, apenas para ouvir que não havia nada que eles pudessem fazer para consertar meu problema.

The hotel is really not that bad, it is very popular with budget travelers. It is located in a rough area of downtown, we never had any problems walking around during the day and at night. It is close to all the downtown attractions. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food was pretty good. Wi-Fi is very bad, not a little bit bad, but very bad.

Staff are well-trained and ready to accommodate guests' needs, and the amenities provided are very decent. The hotel's location is convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation options. Like the rest of Rio city centre - it isn’t a neighbourhood to walk around at night due to safety. Internet was excellent but got choppy on a couple of occasions.

The decor is modern-contemporary and the hotel is very clean and well maintained.

Overall, Hotel Atlantico Prime offers a great and convenient experience for travellers - very popular with group travellers as well as GLBTQ community looking for a comfortable stay in the centre.

The images online are not how the hotel rooms look, they only have one sheet no covers and 2 of the smallest pillows ever. No one spoke English but 1 person a little it was very frustrating. We was switched to 3 different rooms the 1st room our lights didn't come, 2nd room was infested with bugs and the bed covers had stains on them and a lot of brown dots they didn't have a iron so I couldn't do the bed bug test. There was mold all over the curtains. The area was not that good homeless people and trash everywhere. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my enemy.

Banheiro do quarto com mofo e lodo. Não tinha toalhas. Na manhã seguinte, tinha bichinhos nas paredes do banheiro. O quarto tinha cheiro de mofo.
Colchão nojento de sujo. Só tinha um lençol fino por cima do colchão e outro para se cobrir. Eu fiquei doente nesse hotel.
Os funcionários são muito gente boa e atenciosos. O buffet foi bom, mas estou aqui pensando se os quartos e banheiros são sujos imagine a cozinha?

Don't Be Fooled By the Photos!

Hotel room had tiny roaches. The AC worked on and off. We had to open the window to get fresh air. The bathroom shower was full of mold and drain flies on the ceiling.

The hotel restaurant serves buffet and it is the exact same meals everyday.

There are three elevators in the hotel. We got stuck in one and pressed the buttons for a very long time before anyone realized that we needed help.

The room service was horrible because I was discriminated. The complimentary continental buffet food was bad. Too much salt and burnt steak. The gym didn't have towels, tvs, or a remote. The ATM machine has a 14 percent markup on transactions. The room didn't have towels, a microwave or refrigerator. And they don't have a pool. The front of the hotel is filthy.

My personal experience was ok for the time that I was there. Above all the hang ups one could have with this hotel I can comfortably say it’s perfect for anyone traveling to Rio for carnaval like I was. This hotel has a lot of room for improvement, but I’d say my stay was okay!

We liked that there was secure parking for our car. The size of the room was sufficient. There were several places to eat around the area.

Most of the staff was friendly. Some were quite rude. The language barrier was periodically an issue. Only some of the staff spoke English and Spanish. When you call reception or room service they never answered. You have to go speak to the reception desk in person.

We stayed at the hotel 7 days and the breakfast was the same every single day. The internet was super spotty.

There was no refrigerator in the room or hair dryer. I asked for a hair dryer and it never arrived. When I asked again hours later, they said they must have all been borrowed. There was only two regular sheets on the bed and the bottom sheet kept coming off. There was no blanket or comforter. The lighting in the room was horrible. It made it very difficult to see.

As fotos simplesmente NÃO REFLETEM a realidade do hotel. O hotel está mal cuidado, o quarto estava com paredes sujas, espelho sujo, toalhas manchadas, móveis totalmente desgastados e velhos, banheiro mofado, teia de aranha no teto, ar condicionado com a aleta de vento quebrada e pingando agua. Inaceitável. O café da manhã não tinha nada além de frutas, pão, ovo e salsicha, sem nenhuma variedade, suco de pacote, o menos pior era o café. O ambiente é uma penumbra que perdeu a elegância com o tempo, foi definhando por maus cuidados. A equipe do hotel não resolve nada, não tem controle de quem está com secador de cabelo e não fizeram questão nenhuma de resolver o problema, pelo contrário, quando viram que continuaríamos questionando passaram uma desculpa de que não se poderia mais usar secador de cabelo a noite. Experiência péssima, não recomendo para ninguém.
