Where do I even start with this underwhelming and overpriced property? A 3-star hotel cosplaying as anything more. Over $700 CAD per night for bed sheets with holes, frayed towels, rusted bathroom tiles, cobwebs in light fixtures, and dirty/stained walls. The building is located off one of the busiest and noisiest main roads. I only gave two stars because of the amenities and a concierge named Gibran who seemed to always be happy to go above and beyond in service. Otherwise, would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

The room was fine, though the noise was loud from and the roof top bar music. We were on the 15th floor. There was mold in the grout of our shower stall. Staff around hotel, bell boys etc, excellent. Breakfast was outstanding, especially the Mexican options daily. Special mention to Hugo (restaurant) and Kevin (luggage)

Great location and general facilities. The area was quiet despite being in the middle of everything. The room was small but well laid out and equipped. There was black mold around the sink. The room was over the bar so music which was not overly loud but could be heard all evening. The noise from other rooms was a bit loud both overhead, beside and the hallway.

The rooms are very small and dark. In the evening, it is impossible to see anything! In addition, some of the rooms don’t have a proper bathroom, but a sink inside the room and a toilet divided from the sleeping area only by a glass door (no privacy!). Time to upgrade and install some overhead lighting. The staff was lovely and the cafe excellent.

The room was spacious, clean, and with awesome amenities. 10/10 would recommend. The cabuya rooftop, portico breakfast, derba coffee shop were all top class. My wife had a massage at the Spa and greatly enjoyed it. The staff top to bottom was incredibly friendly, generous, and attentive. Will be returning soon! The neighborhood is incredibly active with good nightlife options as well as easy access to public transportation.

Staff and room safety were the main issues. The room was noisy, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and as a woman staying alone on the first floor, I felt unsafe with constant foot traffic outside my door. Most concerning was the staff’s behavior at the end of my stay. Despite informing reception in advance that my husband and daughter would be joining me, I was treated as if I had done something wrong, forced to change rooms, and pressured to pack immediately while a security guard waited outside my door. The experience was intimidating, unprofessional, and unacceptable—especially given the amount I paid for the stay.

Staff members were great; however, during check in, they informed us they had my wife and I booked into a two double bed room, instead of the king bed room that we booked (months in advance). Essentially they had no solution other than offering free breakfast. Of note, my wife and I were traveling for our 40th birthdays and were away without the kids for the first time in 7 years. Understanding they probably had no ability to offer us our originally booked king bed room, we accepted the daily breakfast for four mornings. Compliments to the wait staff there, especially Hugo, who made our morning routine exceptional.

The room was loud on some nights. There was a wedding one night and guests in rooms beside us were very loud at 2-3am and banging on our door.

Despite the complaints, the hotel is in a very convenient and central location and we had an amazing time in Mexico City.

The stay was amazing and the workers were awesome up until it was time to leave. I asked for a taxi and the front desk said they would call someone. Not knowing the average price of the ride from the hotel to the airport, I said ok to the price. As I expected a taxi, I ended up getting an unmarked vehicle. When we entered to go to the airport as the hotel staff confirmed it was the vehicle, I decided to check the price of an uber, I came to find out I was charged 4 times the average price of an uber. The hotel and staff was awesome up until that time.

Loved this hotel. The entire staff was courteous and friendly from the moment we arrived at the Andaz until we left. My room was cleaned daily and was comfortable quiet. The fitness room was pretty decent for something you'd find in a hotel. The rooftop bar/restaurant was perfect for a lazy evening.

The Andaz is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and close to plenty of neighborhood restaurants and a beautiful park. I highly recommend the Andaz.

Everything was great until we left $1500 in a purse in our room. It was our fault to forget it and tempt the workers, but when we came back, the money was not there. You would think that a five star hotel would not let this type of stuff happen because everyone forgets stuff in their room.

The restaurant breakfast was excellent but was similar to San Diego about $30 per person.
I loved the location but my wife was not very happy, look for the food restaurants by walking in the area, good food places around with very reasonable prices but if you want a Sit down American style Restaurant , you will pay what you will pay in the USA, or at least this is what we paid,
The food outside of the restaurants are very reasonable cost.
Taxis are very expensive but Uber was amazingly low cost then what the Taxi’s were charging.

Great hotel - couldn’t fault our 5 night stay

Really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of cafes and restaurants in the immediate area and felt safe too. Staff and hotel could not be faulted. Room service on two occasions and both was delicious and fast. Only thing is the pool area has nowhere really to sit or lie in the sun if you wish to. There’s only 3 loungers that are in the pool directly in the sun. Apart from that minor issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area.

Arriving at the hotel was confusing with two hotels in the lobby (Andaz and Mondrian) with different check-in options on different floors. I was with my elderly parents, and the elevators were scattered around to give access to different areas around the courtyard. Probably not so confusing if one used the escalator.

The people working at the hotel were fantastic. They could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Allen, who was at the front desk was amazing, greeted us, and made special accommodations for us.

The decor is not for everyone. Very \"trendy,\" but rough around the edges. It came off as a little cheap, especially considering the price of the room.

Hate to be negative, but it was a little disappointing after seeing the glitzy photos and list of amenities.

Our stay was wonderful. The hotel and its amenities were top quality and very family friendly while maintaining an upscale ambience. The only downside for us was our room was located on the 1st floor facing the street so there was a lot of noise especially traffic, throughout the night. Otherwise we had a beautiful stay and the service was exceptional.

Nice hotel but disappointing roof terrace/pool

This is nice modern hotel, rooms good albeit small and hotel staff very helpful and friendly - but for a final last day back in Mexico City we wanted to spend a relaxing day by the pool on the roof terrace but the photos on the website are very misleading. The restaurant area has been changed and is no longer open and is enclosed by a new glass windows all the way round and with blasting music constantly it was far from relaxing to be in and the pool is a rather strange addition on the corner with absolutely no outside seating or deck and very small. On a positive note kids and teens might like it plus there is a big beer garden/games area on a lower floor which is probably popular - I think the hotel is probably best suited for conferences/guests or maybe families with kids.

Había animalitos en la cama, que asco. Su opción fue cambiarnos de cuarto y no darnos la cara. También encontramos botellas vacías, ah y una uña que evidentemente no era nuestra porque usamos gelish. Si me dio asquito en general estar ahí, es más mi reserva era de 2 días y me quedé una, prefería decirle a una amiga que si no quería estar ahí (obvio no le conté los animalitos) para no desaprovechar la estadía.

Overall, I found the staff to be quite good and the housekeeping excellent. However, my experience was marred by an encounter with the supervisor when I expressed my disappointment about not being informed that the pool was out of service, despite having communicated with the hotel through Expedia. The supervisor’s response was somewhat passive-aggressive, even though I assured him I wasn’t seeking any compensation. It was an odd interaction. On the positive side, the concierge was extremely helpful, and I generally enjoyed the staff’s friendliness. Nevertheless, if a key feature of the hotel is unavailable, it should be standard practice to notify guests in advance. The supervisor explained that this information was on the website and that since I didn’t book directly, they couldn’t notify me, but I had been in touch through Expedia, so it felt like they were just trying to cover themselves. I would stay again.

This was a beautiful property. We felt very safe. They provided prompt and friendly service. The only downfall was the pol was closed during our stay and we were not notified prior to our arrival. We looked forward to the beautiful pool and bar, but sadly we were not able to experience it. However they did provide us with a pass to the Hyatt Regency, but their pool was very underwhelming. It did not have a bar, it seemed like an apartment complex pool.

Meh, not worth the money.

We booked a two bedroom room. When we arrived (one hour after check-in) we were told that our room wouldn't be ready for a few hours. We could wait for one hour and get a room with one bed. Rooftop bar and pool are closed for renovation (isn't this a fairly new hotel??? Why renovating already??) So they were offering to let people go to a Hyatt hotel somewhere nearby for a swim. Guess this was causing delays in checking out. Seems like a huge mess. Received two free massages for it. Room was alright, nothing special. Kind of on the smaller end. A huge pillar one one side that took up extra space. Bathroom was not closed off from the room. Every call to room service took multiple calls and over one hour. Overall, for a brand that is supposed to be a \"luxury\" hotel, not worth the extra money. Location wasn't bad, fairly central with a quick Uber trip to Roma and 10 minute walk to cafes in Condessa.

The room is very small with very limited spaces and amenities. The rooftop and swimming pool were closed due to maintenance, which is a bummer. It didn’t feel like a luxury hotel at all. More like a boutique hotel without any brand name. Also, didn’t know I can’t earn points because I booked it on Expedia and not through Hyatt’s website directly. This is a terrible experience.

A lot to be desired…

Without any warning on this booking site- we have come to find out at check-in that the rooftop pool and bar area are closed for renovations until July. We paid a premium to stay at this location, only because of this rooftop pool. When we called prior to our booking (we were told on the phone that the rooftop is open, and then when asked for details told that it was closed).

Clear communication needs to improve at this hotel. When showing the hotel staff a 2 for 1 happy hour flyer and asking which bar was running this- the first two staff had no idea what this promotion was, the 3rd staff member confirmed later that it was an in-room dining promotion.


No recognition of my gold status at the check-in, upgrades of any sort, or acknowledgement of continued business despite undergoing their Renos.

Rooms would only be cleaned by the late afternoon.

Shower temperature was impossible to adjust, every handle turn was hot or scalding.

We were on a high floor but would still hear the music from the courtyard. It wouldn’t be a deal breaker but I understand where the other comments of too noisy would come from.

Great location and nice front desk staff, but there are comparable hotels and due to the above mentioned issues I highly doubt I would ever be back.

Dissapointing Pool Closed, Very Very Loud Hotel

We selected this hotel because it had an outdoor pool and we and my daughter would love to end our days at the rooftop pool and restaurants. We were told upon arrival the pool was closed for a month. I had booked the hotel only two weeks before. No pool closure was noted. I checked the hotels.com listing again and it still advertised an outdoor pool. This was a huge disappointment and the reason we chose this pool among other competing hotels. We were offered passes at a non heated cold indoor pool at an aging facilities across town (25 min Uber ride) at the Hyatt—this was a sad consolation.

Originally given a room on the first floor the noise from the street including ambulances and car alarms and gates for deliveries was terrible. We also heard music from the restaurant and bar that had been moved from the roof to the area below us through the walls. After complaining about the noise we were told we would be moved on the next day to the 16th floor. We packed up our bags and on our way out for the day confirmed we were being moved. We were then told we were being moved to the second floor. When we said this was completely unacceptable and would not reduce the noise enough. After asking to speak to a manager, on the spot they refound the room on the 16th floor and we were able to move. They then brought us the wrong bags an hour later. And the room was still very very loud I believe the windows are thin - car alarms etc. We will not stay here again.

The property is modern and well maintained. My room was lovely with some nice touches - a gramophone with records for background music. The staff is simply amazing. Everyone from Marcos to all the others go out of their way to serve. And are so friendly. Unlimited bottles of water made things convenient. I loved my stay here and will return with my family.
