Room was very clean. Great location and nice staff.

However, on the first night, we were shocked at how tiny our room (#302) was. It was a complete misrepresentation of what we had paid for - half the size. No desk, no table, no sofa. TV was hang from the ceiling. One of the two windows only has a thin curtain, making the room very bright even at night from street lights. Expedia wasn’t able to do anything except compensating us with some omekey points.

The following day, we happened to see hotel staff cleaning the two rooms next door, 301 and 303. Each looked like rooms from a different hotel - twice as big with a desk and a sofa, with just one window that has blackout curtains. The hotel manager agreed to change ours to Room 301 which we were super happy with and thankful for.

I think it’s extremely unfair if a guest pays the same rate to stay in rooms ending with #2 which should be offered at a heavily discounted price.

I barely slept because they had construction going on starting at 9 am the last four mornings

I gave this rating because primarily, I believe the owner and the way that this place is being run a couple of weeks after I made the reservation. I got an email from them that some construction was going on in the lobby. On requesting a quiet room they said it was impossible for them to give me a quiet room or to ensure my comfort during the stay They advised me to cancel my reservation with Expedia when I reached out to Expedia, I was informed that Expedia reached out to this hotel, and there was no response.

I was concerned about arriving here and about my stay here, but I found out that there was no construction going on and the room was quiet and the employees were good and polite. However, they consistently had problems with the door key, which would never open the door and each time the receptionist had to run up to open the door. In addition, the TV in the room was not worki I have a feeling that they wanted me to terminate my reservation there so that they can keep the money And not refund it and not provide a service. I had a non-refundable booking the owner of the hotel who was also the chef was very rude to me the morning that I saw him when I asked for a check out statement in case the airport wanted one. I also informed him that I would be giving him a negative rating because he kept sending me emails from the reception that my stay could not be comfortable due to the construction. He was very rude. He had anger issues and he told me never to come back again.

Our trip got off to a rough start as the hotel was under renovation, which meant a lot of construction noise and dust as well as the terrace, where breakfast was to be served (which was a factor in choosing the hotel) being closed. The hotel offered to bring breakfast to the room, but there was no comfortable place to enjoy it. Such things happen, but there was worse to come.

There was no hot water in the sink, which made shaving a bracing experience, and there was no phone in the room - the phone jack was in the wall at the head of the bed. All the furniture was wobbly and uneven, and the lighting was dim and inadequate.

Upon checking out, the woman at the desk requested that we wait while she inspected the room. She came back down with a dirty hand towel marked with lipstick and insisted we pay 200 pesos for the stained cloth. My wife does not wear lipstick (nor do I), and it was obvious we were simply being scammed. As we were on our way to the airport, we had no choice but to pay the fee. I have never had this happen at any property we have rented through Expedia (or anywhere else), and this is outrageous and unacceptable. My advice is to steer clear of this hotel. We talked with another guest, who had stayed at Maria Condesa before, and he said it was clear something was going on with management as the place was nowhere as nice as it once was. Travelers should stay away, andExpedia should review the current four-star rating as the hotel in no way merits such a status.

This was one of the worst experiences in my life. When we arrived after midnight, after 8 hr flight delay, we were informed by a rude receptionist that the hotel is under renovation, noise starts at 7AM, and we need to pay for all three nights, or go elsewhere. I was shocked but because it was so late we had no choice. Only got worse from there. Filthy, electric outlets not working in the room etc. Dust from renos. Stay away.

The room was quite large and well equipped. Large shower with plenty of hot water. Very nice bath towels. Very comfortable king sized bed.

The staff was excellent, especially Pedro the chef at the included breakfast. He personally tailors the breakfast to your desires. And he’s quite a character.

Hotel room had leak in bathroom sink. No TV as advertised and there was construction going on at all times of day. Hotel is next to two noisy bars that stayed open until 2am and played loud music. Horrible stay. Would not recommend at all and request some type of credit as the advertising for this hotel was inauthentic.

Upon arrival on December 8 we discovered the hotel was undergoing a renovation. The tile flooring outside our room and on every floor of the hotel was being replaced. The workers arrived around 8am and worked until 7pm. When we returned on the third evening the floor of our room and all the surfaces was covered in dust from the sawing and sanding and in the hallway. Contacted Expedia to get our reservation cancelled so we could move to another hotel. The Expedia agent only offered a $55 credit. Called back the next morning and Expedia finally agreed to a $250 credit and booked us in another hotel. Even though Expedia did provide some relief they shouldn’t be booking people into this hotel until the renovation is completed.

The good sized room had been remodeled with a nice spacious bathroom. The cooked to order breakfast provided in the rooftop terrace was tasty and the gentleman who appeared to be the manager was pleasant but he was the only staff we encountered who spoke English. He was apologetic about the remodeling but after three days we weren’t willing to put up with the noise and dust and moved to another hotel.

People were very kind. However, they were doing major construction work, which made my stay less than ideal. There was a lot of noise during the day until 8pm and the construction workers started in the morning. This, sleeping late wasn’t an option. That kind of construction work should be disclosed up front with guests. As a guest, I should have been give the option to stay or not given the loud construction work being done. Breakfast was great.

I loved the location. Double paned windows meant you could not hear the noise from outside. You could hear the hallway noise since the doors are not sealed well.

Comfortable bed, good pillows, great water pressure although the bathroom can be smelly from the pipes.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was freshly made and a good start to the day.

There are Nespresso machines in the room. We did have to ask to have a corkscrew and hairdryer brought to the room.

Shampoo, body wash, and conditioner were all good quality.

I had high hopes considering the listing and photos and to get there after check in to find out my room wasn’t ready. When it was finally ready, it was under construction zone and remodeling which made for a lot of drilling and unsafe, tools, and furniture located in the hallways of the hotel. They had a room for me on the first floor (night 1) , but told me I had to move to the second floor for the remaining days of my trip. I had to tell staff to stop drilling in the evening to try and get rest and to be quiet.


The Chef, who was a really nice gentleman apologized to me numerous times who was also running the front desk due to staff shortage. He mentioned they were in the process of remodeling it and rooms weren’t available as they were doing construction and taking things out and lots of sawing.

There is two restaurants downstairs so you will hear music and people and the crowds so it can be loud at times. I showed The Chef the shower door, which did not close as the maintenance repair guys put the door on backwards so the shower door wouldn’t close while taking a shower making it a puddle of water once stepped out.

No le di las 5 estrellas porque necesitan ajustar la descripción en el website (el desayuno es a la carta. No bufete y no tiene shuttle al aeropuerto) y porque estaban iniciando una remodelación. Pero con todo muy recomendable si se quiere experimentar La Condesa

Overall, the location was great, and the breakfast accommodation that was included with our stay was wonderful.
We also had a sauna in our bedroom, that was really nice as well. The reason why we gave two stars was because the check-in was not that friendly…basically they gave us a piece of paper to read over asked if everything looked OK and then told us our room number. We were on the fourth floor and noticed that at times it was super loud above us and it was because the breakfast area was right above our room. The bed would also shake if people were walking above and below us. It was very odd…
The showers were also VERY cold and the room was really hot. When we checked out we notified the front desk of these issues and it was brushed off.

The best thing about the property is location and price. It is not super luxurious, but it is perfectly adequate. It’s a beautiful walk too many restaurants. You get daily breakfast from the nicest cooks. We really enjoyed our stay! They did run out of water bottles one day and did not make any attempt to go get some. We had to go buy our own. I will continue to stay at this property whenever I visit CDMX!

Room was very nice and bathroom was large. A/C worked great when it was hot, and we were also able to open windows when it was cooler.
A lot of attention to detail in the room (nice fabrics, pottery in the room.etc)
Breakfast was great (choose your own,essentially) on the rooftop. Reception staff could have been more engaged and helpful, but restaurant staff very pleasant and fun.

Husband and I stayed for one week. We loved having pancakes in the morning and walking to the park and museums during the day. There are some great lunch and dinner options just around the blocks of the hotel. The place was well kept, the staff was amazing and lovely even though we don’t speak much Spanish. We would definitely stay there again… please note in Mexico City. You place toilet paper in the trash everywhere you go, but all the comforts of home!

This hotel claims it’s a 4 star hotel. In all honesty it’s a 2 at most. The best thing about this place is the neighborhood it’s located in. The TV remote would not work, I had to keep getting up to turn on and off. Towels were so worn out that some of them had stains and tears. Practically no lighting because it was sooo dim and one of our overhead lights would not turn on.

The product line for shampoo and conditionner advertised on the website was false, and you’re lucky if you find someone at the reception after 6/7 pm . Hit or miss.

The breakfast was awful, I attached an image of the omelette that was burnt, orange juice was poured from a store bought box and the chef is also your server and your maintenance person…

For the price, quality was SUBPAR. I would not recommend.

The staff were lovely and we appreciated how spacious our room was as well as our private sauna. We used it every night! The biggest detractor was the loud music from the bar downstairs. The room was advertised as soundproof but we didn’t find that to be the case. That being said - I think we would stay here again - the neighbourhood cannot be beat!

The room was very quiet with double windows so we could open them if we wanted or close them and have a very quiet room. The in room heat pump worked well. Only complaint was that the upstairs deck was being renovated while we were there. But having breakfasts delivered to room made up for it-a real breakfast with eggs, tortillas and fruit.
The king size bed was very comfortable.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel as advertised!

The hotel has seen better days. We stayed in room 301. Rust lined the bathroom windowsills, and if you opened the window you were greeted with a very dirty AC unit covered in pigeon droppings. The room was old and dingy, one nightlight did not work. I found spots of blood on one of the pillows. We thought that we were feeling mini earthquakes but checked online and there weren't any reports then realized the building shook every time a truck rolled by. Kinda scary infrastructure.

The terrace was closed for construction so hopefully their renovation will do them some good.

Customer service was the worst. Being a platinum member, I specifically booked a \"VIP\" Access room on Orbitz since I had a red eye flight. I messaged the property a week ahead to request an early check if possible. No response. We arrived and ZERO accommodation was made for an early check in but she did tell me (via Google translate) I could could email or WhatsApp them to see if my room was ready and if so the charge would be $400 pesos. It's supposed to be complimentary as a Platinum VIP, but I didn't even go there since it didn't seem like the room would be ready anyway. There was no attempt to even check us into the system and when I returned at 3:15pm, that's when they asked for a security deposit, etc. Inefficient. Another had her boyfriend/friends hanging out in the lobby every evening we arrived.

I'm befuddled by the good reviews.

I couldn't stay at this property due to trip cancellation. I tried to contact the hotel to see if I can cancel my stay but nobody responds to any messages or emails. They just ignored any communication.

I love the location of this hotel. Close to many many restaurants, bars, shops, etc. I felt safe and it was super quiet. Loved the staff, always attentive and sure to make our stay wonderful.
The hotel needs a bit of tender, love, and care but I would book here again if I ever return to Mexico City.
Bonus point because the hotel is pet friendly and adults only! ❤️

Great long weekend getaway!

We had a great stay at the comdesa. Staff was super nice, and the room was very clean. Our room was cleaned everyday. We had hotel pick up, and they were very knowledgeable and friendly. 5 stars! Its such a safe and cute neighborhood!

Nice budget hotel

Cute hotel that’s trying hard but is a little rough around the edges. Breakfast was included but very annoying for many clientele as the 1 cook would only speak to one table at a time and complete only there order. After 30 minutes we decided to leave. In the room there was noise from the elevator and music on the terrace. You could hear the elevator motor working all day. The window in the bathroom could not close allowing street noise to enter. The lights in the shower and bathroom did not work. The bed was very comfortable and nice and the room was well equipped.

The cleaning room service is excellent

They’re very generous with bottle of water (although this is not eco friendly )

The only issue was the toilet had trouble flushing.

The feee breakfast is small but decent , and friendly

Heater works great

No problems with WiFi

For such a great location in Condesa , the price was super affordable.

hotel was really nice. Perfect location with a buzzing vibe. Lots of great cafes & restaurants and few metres or across the road, definetly top location in charming condesa. It felt very safe, lively & beautiful. Plenty of taxis to hail or get an Uber was super easy.

Our room was perfect, great size for two people for 5 days, bathroom was spacious and it was quiet at night even with all the buzz around. The only thing was the ‘humidity’ in the room, we needed to always open a window or leave the aircon on, gets humid fast, but other than that it was great, either great service, friendly staff and great amenities. Bed was comfortable and staff left it nice and clean for us everyday. Highly recommend

I would stay again . Place was clean, friendly staff, good hot shower, bed was very comfy and pillows. Only negative needs to upgrade bath towels not a biggy I travel with my own but it might be a problem for others. For the price it was beyond my expectations great stay.

Nice area and comfortable stay.

We stayed 6 nights here. The location is great with lots of different restaurants in the area. It felt very safe even at night. Comfortable bed, and large space. Great water pressure for shower, nice breakfast on a rooftop terrace. Very friendly and helpful staff. They spoke English well. Air-conditioning worked well and a fridge was in the room.
The only drawback was the waste can for toilet paper was small and in the sink area, not near the toilet. Not a big dreal, but odd since in Mexico you shouldn't put paper in the toilet.

Cons. The pictures on Expedia are deceiving. I never saw the bar. The terrace is not what I thought it would be based on the images posted.

Pros. People are always nice. The area is quiet. The rooms are comfy. It’s in a walkable area with shops all around. Easy transportation pickup.
