This was the best resort I've ever stayed at for so many reasons. Forget your worries, disconnect, and enjoy everything palmaia has to offer. If you value quality good rather than quantity, healthy food over heavy, whole foods over processed, this place is for you! The rooms are all ocean view and the whole resort is walkable. I had such memorable classes here and the personal concierge services was a nice touch and way for us to feel connected all through the week.

We had an absolutely amazing 5-day adventure! Despite checking in late due to Canada’s weather, everything went smoothly and felt incredibly welcoming. The service was nothing short of five-star! Rafael, our friendly driver, greeted us at the airport with warmth, shared helpful tips, and was always quick to respond—be sure to ask for him! Throughout our stay, the staff at SuCasa were exceptional, especially Luis, who was simply fantastic. He took wonderful care of our family and knew exactly what we enjoyed. We truly loved our meals at SuCasa, soaking up the warm hospitality that made our holiday unforgettable. Our energetic guides, Oscar and Kassandra, were invaluable, helping us with all the info we needed and swiftly accommodating our requests.

As a family of plant-based eaters, we had an incredible time. We didn’t have to worry about food, and the mocktails were absolutely delicious. My kids enjoyed every bite too!

I arranged spa treatments for my parents, and they loved it so much they booked a second session the very next day! Don’t miss out on the Samunprai Herbal Ritual—my parents raved about it, and it’s a must-try experience.

This is our 2nd time visiting Palmaia and it was just as magical as the first visit 3 years ago. Everything about our stay was amazing. The rituals that we attended were Yoga, Cacao ceremony, Fermentation class (bread making), and watercolor painting. We highly recommend these activities. Shout out to Mauricio! He has a lot of knowledge regarding fermentation and cooking. We also booked a spa service at Atlantis and it was relaxing and rejuvinating. We were surpised by monkeys outside of the spa waiting area, which added a wonderful surpise to the peacefulness of the space. Every meal was delcious and was matched by top notch service. Special shout out to our waiters Luis and Alejandro. Ismael at Eolo was also great! We loved hanging out at the bar in the evening next to the fire and listening to music. The entire crew including our nomad guides (Karen and Andres) were extremely gracious, kind, and accomodating. Thank you for taking great care of us! We loved every minute of our visit.

I guess September is the OFF season for them. So many amenities, services, ceremonies, and pools were unavailable for this supposed 5 star hotel.

1.Entires wings of the resort are not in use yet they put my in the OCEAN FRONT ROOM that overlooked the roof of the bar. They did accommodate me gave me the ocean front room.

Union arrival the receptionist lied about giving me an upgrade. I got exactly what I paid for. Then said; once confronted, the upgrade was to the adults only building. King suite Ocean front, in a family building? Lie. Once I got to my room the view was obstructed by the roof of a restaurant. Since the hotel was completely empty I asked if they could move me to another room with a better view. She then lied again and said that all the rooms in my category were booked out. I went online and saw that there were 7 rooms available on Expedia alone, same room and same days booked! Sent it to them, they then changed my room after another lie saying that the other room wasn’t ready and that I could take a look at it, I might look clean but it’s not. I would have to have my bags brought to reception and stored. That never happened because the room was clean. And the only thing I could think was why didn’t you want to change the room if the whole entire hotel is empty and why cause so much unnecessary chaos if this is a wellness retreat? The mini bar was Not fully stocked. There was only a couple mixed bottled drinks. No beer, wine or spirits. Only Cenote worth seeing is inside of the spa which is an additional charge. Upon leaving the taxi tried to charge $100usd for a ride to Tulum. Been 10 times. I booked my own car and they wouldn’t let him in! Once I said that I was writing a review, she followed me to give a code to let him in. He already left. She then offered a cheaper taxi.

The hotel was super clean, with a beautiful beach and fantastic location. Most of the staff were very friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious.

The only downside was when my husband cut his foot—we asked for alcohol and a bandage but were told they only had small bandages. It would be helpful for an all-inclusive hotel, especially one far from pharmacies, to have a basic first aid kit.

Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!

This was my 2nd time staying at Palmaia. Initially, I attended a wellness retreat then returned for a solo R&R getaway. I love this place. Service, food, spa, coffee shop, claasses, everything is top notch. Totally worth the price. The Nomadic Guides Oscar & Adriana were amazing.

This was my second time at Palmaïa. It’s peaceful, wellness-focused, and full of positive energy.

There was a small room mix-up, but the staff fixed it. Everyone is warm and thoughtful.

I’m picky with food, and LEK was my favorite this time, unique and healthy. The birthday cake wasn’t great, but the coconut water in the room was amazing! I also love the Kuxtal cocktail, it’s vibrant and full of flavor.

We didn’t make it to any activities as we mostly slept and rested, which was exactly what we needed. I did attend a Palmaïa meditation concert in NYC once, and as someone who never meditated before, I felt deeply calm and relaxed after it. Assuming some of the activities should be similar.

The spa was great—I did the Prehispanic Ritual, and my friend had a scalp massage. Both were wonderful.

The resort is surrounded by nature. We saw monkeys, raccoons, iguanas, and beautiful plants. The rooms are dark and the beds super comfy which is great for a light sleeper like me.

Palmaïa is my favorite all-inclusive resort so far.

It's such a gift to be able to visit Palmaia for the second time. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. The food is hit or miss, but it's so nice there, you won't care that much. I still managed to gain 4lbs so I clearly ate pretty well! The servers and bartenders are knowledgeable and attentive.
The spa is beautiful and the therapists there are amazing. There are a variety of daily activities.
The nomadic guides, Kasandra and Esteban, are gems!

The experience from beginning to end was amazing. Highly recommend for anyone looking to rest, reset, and recharge. The staff was very hospitable, the property was beautiful and the plant-based cuisine was great, even for a meat eater like me. The wellness programming was great too, from the traditional Temazcal ceremony, pranayama, yoga and the meditation concert among other things. We will be going back soon!

10’s across the board! PERFECTION!

One of the best, rejuvenating, and amazing solo trips I have ever taken. The property itself is a great combination of luxury and comfort. It feels like you have been transported into this magical jungle beach !

There is plenty of activity’s to do throughout the day, for those who want to be more active and do more classes. Or you can just lounge by the beach or venture through the amazing property and have no plans .

The food was amazing! Every meal was thought out, with also great mocktails or cocktails. Then the staff! This is probably what will make you want to never leave . They are the best! They make you feel so comfortable, and genuinely want to make your stay there great.

I can keep going on about this place, but it’s amazing. Also, while I was there I met people who had been there 3 times plus, which is always a great sign.

You will have the best time, no matter what type of trip your looking for here!!

I had an incredible stay at Palmaia. From the staff, to the room, restaurants and amenities everything was absolutely amazing. I went by myself and it was very resourcing. Lots of activities such as breathing session, yoga, meditation, gym and spa treatments that are out of this world. The food was terrific and the mocktail list is spectacular. I would recommend without hesitation as a solo traveller, friends or couple. I find it might be a little boring for the kids (depending on your kids!)

Voy a ser claro desde el principio: no soy vegetariano, ni practico yoga todos los días, y llegué a Palmaïa con cierta curiosidad, pero también con escepticismo. Y me fui completamente transformado.

Este lugar tiene algo especial. No solo es hermoso (porque lo es, en todos los sentidos), sino que se siente auténtico, intencional y profundamente humano. Todo está pensado para invitarte a bajar el ritmo, respirar, y disfrutar sin excesos.

La comida fue una sorpresa absoluta. Aunque la mayoría de la propuesta es plant-based, el sabor, la creatividad y la calidad son espectaculares. Como alguien que disfruta un buen corte de carne, puedo decir que si extrañé la carne pero me sorprendieron. Tienen también opciones con proteína animal si lo deseas, pero me encontré disfrutando platos veganos que jamás pensaría pedir. (Aunque si podría haber más opciones con proteína animal)

El programa de bienestar no es algo impostado. Hay rituales, clases, experiencias de sanación… pero sin presión. Lo haces si quieres. Yo me animé a probar la ceremonia del cacao y yoga.

El servicio es cálido y sin pretensiones. El servicio de playa es bueno (depende de quien sea tu anfitrión… Emilio muy buena persona)

Y como olvidar el carrito de tacos … aunque vegetarianos top! Y Reyes hizo la diferencia!

Palmaïa no es un resort, es una experiencia. Incluso si no encajas en el “perfil wellness”, aquí vas a encontrar algo diferente.

Wonderful Palmaya Getaway!

Our recent vacation in Palmaya was truly lovely, largely thanks to this exceptional hotel. The services were consistently excellent, and we were so impressed by the friendly and polite staff who made us feel incredibly welcome. The balanced, plant-based food was a delightful surprise, always fresh and delicious.

We especially enjoyed the beach bar, which offered a wonderfully friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Argenis, the bartender, deserves a special mention for his professionalism. He possesses a remarkable talent for mixing well-balanced cocktails that are both delicious and beautifully presented. He also thoughtfully prepared a special tea for us. We had a great time and highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Palmaya.!

This is our fourth time staying at this hotel. It has become our yearly spot for refreshment, rejuvenation, stillness, and well-being. We have absolutely no complaints. The grounds are beautiful, the architect of life activities are fabulous. The rooms are spectacular and incredibly comfortable and fully stocked. The food is absolutely fabulous, including the environment of the restaurants. The service is impeccable and the beaches are well-maintained. Definitely appreciate the silence and that this truly is a resort, dedicated to well-being and cultivating wellness into our lives each year. We will be returning next year 100%.

Exceptional service from the minute I arrived at the reception, desk until the minute I left. I came here as a solo traveler over my birthday. This resort had been on my radar for a few years and I’m so glad I finally booked it - I have traveled the world and it’s such a unique and beautiful space. I have never been one to choose an all inclusive, but the reviews made me want to try it. And I hate to even use that term for a property of this caliber. The food and drinks are incredible. The property is serene and immaculate, and the beach is swimmable and gorgeous. Thanks to everyone. I’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful place, the focus really is on wellness. Amazing property how you are pretty much staying in a jungle with monkeys! and cenotes, and lots of places to contemplate the world in peace, but then come right out of it onto a wonderful beach. The rooms are a bit small but be sure to get one with an ocean view. It makes them seem bigger. The place is VERY safe! Went through 2 gates to get in and there's security 24/7 pretty much everywhere, including the beach. A word about the food: I'm allergic to gluten which they seemed to address and they also really focus on vegan items as well. But I found myself craving some protein by the second or third day because the printed menus are pretty limited. What I didn't find out until the 5th or 6th day was that you could order items off the menu like steak tacos which I devoured, chicken to make items non-vegan, and chips and guacamole, etc. So be sure to ask right away and they can usually accommodate you. One other drawback IMO, is that they play dance music? whatever you call it, pretty much day and night in every restaurant, bar, etc. It got kind of tiresome and occasionally was just too loud. But if a unique property and lots of focus on overall wellness is your thing, you will love this place! Will definitely be back some day.

I could write a book in all the wonderful things about this resort. I’ll keep it simple. Service is over the top excellent, everywhere. The room was fantastic; a variety of pillows and the mattress was great. We mostly ate at Su Casa and Charley’s taco truck. My husband is a huge carnivore and even he found things he could eat and enjoyed. I felt so good eating clean all week. Our margaritas were all made with quality tequila and fresh juices. The bear bar at night was so relaxing but also entertaining. DJ one night and Sax player the next. We ordered grass fed burgers in the room one night. Beach is gorgeous! I’d give them 10 stars if I could and we will return for sure. Keep your eyes open for the wildlife, iguanas, coatis and spider monkeys!!

Very Nice location, but not a great value

This was my second time here, and the same issues exist. For starters, there are A LOT of children and families. Which is fine, I suppose, but not what you would expect at a place that is a plant-based wellness resort. For me, it ruins the vibe. Second, the price value is not there, in my opinion. The restaurants are good, but not exceptional, and it's hard to justify the cost for restaurants I likely would visit if they were in my hometown.

The staff is lovely, and the setting is beautiful. The resort is maintained and clean.

Amazing all-inclusive paradise

We had an amazing stay. Everything was perfect. Beautiful room. Beautiful amenities. Incredible food, including vegan and non-vegan. Great cocktails and mocktails, all included in the price of the stay. We can't wait to come back and will probably bring our kids next time.
Special mention to Reyes at Charlie's Vegan Taco Truck and Danny at the beach bar.

This is my third time visiting the property and it lived up to my previous wonderful experiences. The staff are truly amazing and seem to genuinely want their guests to have a lovely time. I had a very bad back during my stay - I tried to postpone my trip but sadly this was not possible. However, the staff and nomadics did their best to ensure I could join in as much as possible, providing a chair for the sessions and adapting so that I could join in. Charlie and his team also went out of their way to make sure that I felt comfortable eating as I am vegan and gluten free - constantly checking in and confirming what I could eat. Overall I had a wonderful stay at this truly special place. I will be back!

This property is a wonderful place. It is relaxed, quiet and high end. The staff are kind, funny and attentive for the most part. I loved the beach and how things were laid out- I do travel extensively and this place I will return to for sure. I highly recommend this to a couple, single person, a family, kids, ANYONE!

Staff were exceptionally pleasant. Food was delicious. All areas were peaceful and not overcrowded. Pools were pristine. Beach was wide and full of soft sand, and loungers and cabanas were plentiful.

First of all the stay was life changing. Although of course this a for profit resort, after a day or two the kindness of the staff and the focus on physical emotional and spiritual well being is so healing, and you may not even really notice until you are back. The place is beautiful and the instructors for the daily classes are top notch. The food is also pretty good for an all inclusive resort as they clearly use nearly all home made ingredients.
Also if you want quiet, upgrade to the adults only section.

There were a few scheduling issues, so I would just recommend that you not only make your spa reservations ahead of time but also confirm again as soon as you get there. and if it rains reach out to your concierge ahead of time to see if any classes have changed. but also..just relax.

I will definitely be going back either alone or with family - beautiful experience.

I couldn't have chosen a better place for my milestone birthday and first solo trip. Palmaia goes beyond luxury with life-changing workshops, personalized spa treatments at Atlantis, and incredible healthy cuisine that never feels like a compromise. The resort's welcoming and helpful team & the atmosphere makes solo travelers feel right at home, balancing private moments with genuine connections. Already planning my return – this was exactly the meaningful celebration I needed.

So many positives, some negatives. Service not 5*

Writing a lengthy review since we struggled to commit to this property as it appears a little niche. We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed it for the most part. The condition, cleanliness and style of the property are all excellent. UME was very good and some of the best sushi I've had.

Yoga was great, gym facilities limited yet workable but no constant cleaning like other 5* we've stayed.
The food was the single best thing and all credit to the kitchen staff for the constantly high level especially since the non-vegans would request many off-menu items or tweaks etc.
Bar staff deserve a nod for their attentiveness on the few occasions we were there and the NYE was a credit to all involved, most enjoyable and well ran.

On a general view point the service was patchy for this rating and price point... from missing towels, forgotten waters to multiple wrong orders, mainly in the main restaurant. The staff are super nice, friendly & helpful but could do with a few extra staff members and more training as do the middle manager we encountered who had no idea how to escalate and deal with issues when they occur.

There are the tiresome sun-bed games, again a surprise for this level of hotel but we just located ourselves in the less attractive areas to avoid silly hogging that many others do.

This hotel and property was amazing. The food was absolutely declious and healthy. The ocean water was so warm and inviting. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxury experience and also healthy life force energyeating.
