Very nice if you’re looking to sleep. Yes, I know I was on vacation but I still needed to get some work done and the nonexistent WiFi was a problem. I asked the front desk for a solution and the answer was “I don’t know “ and walked away.
That with an outdated TV for the downtime, meant that I to go to Starbucks for WiFi and look at the ceiling on my downtime

Staff was amazing. Friendly amd knowledgeable.

It iseasy to reach from Gare du Nord. You justneed to find Rue Lafayette and walk down. Much better than getting taxi. You can also get 45 Bus.

Very disappointing and little sleep.

Really disappointing stay. It is supposedly none smoking but the room smelt of smoke. The bathroom was dirty- lots of discolouring and dirt on radiator around the bath.
In the evening the water was lukewarm and was cold in the morning so we had to have cold showers. Very noisy from the road and slamming doors in the hotel which woke us up twice. The shared bathroom was cleaner than our room bathroom.

We were allowed to store our luggage which was good and staff were friendly but they didn’t bother to ask us how our stay was and as we were so disappointed we just left.

The hotel is in a good location and is decent if you’re only going to be there for a couple days, but I do think it’s false advertisement to say that there’s air conditioning on the booking yet the air conditioner hasn’t worked for a while and the elevator is also broken. Staying in March I was lucky that the weather outside wasn’t too hot, but checking into the room was still very warm. Also, if you’re going to have more than one luggage it will be very difficult as the rooms are small. It is a very affordable hotel in a convenient location so I do think it’s worth certain sacrifices but just be warned about the air conditioning!

A good hotel in a good location

I stayed here with my partner and parents. Both rooms were suitably comfortable and clean, albeit a bit dated (which is not a problem, more an observation). The breakfast buffet was plentiful. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has many shops and restaurants within a short walk, as well as a Metro station. We would all stay here again.

Overall, a very good property. Great location (very close to a metro station - Line 7 Cadet) that allowed us to access most neighborhoods quite easily. The staff were courteous, helpful and efficient. The breakfast served at the hotel was more than adequate. We had a couple of reservations about the hotel. Our room was quite small and difficult to navigate because of the size. Also, the patrons and workers (and their extended family members) at the Asian restaurant across the street were quite loud when that establishment closed (2:00 a.m.), so were awakened not only by their extremely loud voices but also by their street side, cell phone conversations with others. If the street cleaners come at or around 6:00 a.m. (which they did), then the nuisance of being awakened by those associated with the restaurant became much more troublesome. You might want to ask for a room that does not face the street.

Great stay

We both enjoyed our stay here, the hotel was nice and seemed good value for the money we paid. The man on reception was extremely polite and helpful when I realised we packed the wrong travel adaptor and couldn't charge our phones. The hotel is very close to a metro station to get you around the city quickly.

On arrival at the hotel we were told that there was a problem with the air con so we were offered free breakfast which I thought was a lovely gesture-esp. as it was only about 22°C so not that hot anyway. Yes, the room was small, but it was totally fine-a great location, well staffed, clean & tidy. I would stay again when on a city break.

The hotel was nice, although a little small, but the thing that really stood out about this stay was the staff. The desk manager that checked us in and out was very friendly and even upgraded us to free breakfast all 3 days of our stay because the ac was not working during our stay! The broken ac was not a problem either as there was a fan provided in place. Although the room was small, it was cozy and the bathroom was still quite large considering the size of the rest of the room. Great stay!

The property claim they have AC in all rooms but the AC was not working for days before we arrived (based on the clerk information). Looking at the units in the rooms we got, it looks like the AC units have not been working in a long, long time. They have a new AC unit in the dinning room though. They could have emailed us about this issue so we could have booked another hotel but they decided to keep this info for themselves until we were done with check in. Big dishonesty move on their parts.

Some personal were nice other talked to us like dogs!

Breakfast is a joke.

I do it recommande this hotel. The location and price were attractive but I should have read more reviews about this place.

I have stayed here before. The staff are always very helpful with advice on sightseeing, transport options and helping with bookings. Maintenance work was being carried during my stay, but nothing to disturb any guests. I was disappointed that the lovely little art deco bar is no longer operating, hope it reopens. Hotel is excellent value for money. I was given a room upgrade, and room available earlier than normal as I had arrived early in the morning after very long flight.

Nice huge comfy bed! we were on 5th floor so didn't pick up the traffic noise. A couple supermarkets within a minutes walk to get bottles water / wine etc. Tiny lift but very useful and normally not needed to wait for it.

Champions League Final weekend

I stayed at the hotel with my son for the Champions League Final weekend. Room rate was exorbitant due to the football, however good location, staff were friendly and accomodating. Room clean, bathroom a bit old and needs freshening up. Streetview room, whilst good view, was very noisy in the morning with dumster truck picking up waste in the early hours.

A nice, comfortable hotel, on a quiet side street just a few metres from the Cadet Metro station and the Rue Lafayette. From there, it is a short walk to the nice pedestrian market street, Rue Cadet, and from there, via 2 lovely covered passage ways to the Grands Boulevard, a major shopping street. Very gracious and accommodating staff at the hotel. Bonus: a tea kettle, and tea and coffee in the room.

There was a leak in my bedroom with water coming up between the floorboards when you walked on them. I told concierge and they did nothing about it - during a 3 day trip. The lift didn't work, the key card didn't work also for the 3 day trip. The room was pretty dirty and had damp patches on the walls.

This place gave me bed bugs bites like really really bad , I would never never recommend this place to no one .....yes they refunded me my money but I woke up at 12 midnight with all these bites went down stairs to tell the employe and all he did was move me rooms but then down graded my room from a 3 bed to a one bed and I had 2 other quest with me my overall experience here was the worse the employees were understanding but the manger was really rude and careless that my hole body was full of bite from the bed bugs it ruined my trip completely

To start with, our reservation got cancelled the day we arrived and we have been told that either we wait or we leave and they are fully booked. After waiting for 15 minutes, a room was available out of a sudden. The staff was very rude and not helpful at all! The rooms weren’t clean.
They didn’t put shampoo and soap on a daily basis. You have to ask for it! The towels weren’t changed although we have put on the floor to be changed.
The only good thing about the hotel was its location.

The rooms are small, but we didn’t spend much time at the hotel, really just a place to sleep. Our shower was quite small and the water temp would inadvertently be adjusted every time you moved in the shower. The area the hotel is in is great for a central area to walk almost anywhere!

It was actually not bad but I have to admit that the first impression is not the expected one. The hotel itself really needs renovation, mostly when looking at the stairs and it’s floors, looking kind of creepy. The room was not bad at all, very clean and well furnished, if I really have to be picky the only thing missing was a shelf in the shower where to put the shampoo, as the shower was small it’s quite uncomfortable, anyway, let’s be honest, I was not in the room all the time so, if you plan a short stay, it’s worth it, a bunch of restaurants not far, underground station in 1min walk or 30 min till Sacré cœur (Montmartre), where I went for my breakfast. Would maybe only come back for his practical aspect. Would give an average note.

We arrived late at night to hotel PAX Opera and the manager have told us that we were moved to their second hotel Peyris Opera a block away. This was very inconvenient for us in the middle of the night and we did not get any email or call to update us on the change. The manager told us that the second hotel has bigger rooms but I am having a hard time to believe it was true to the room we got when compering it to the Opera Pax's pictures..
When we needed to expand our stay for an extra night as our apartment was not yet ready, we were requested double the price so we ended up moving to another hotel in the area.
Expect for that the reception was nice.

Very convenient for central Paris

Central hotel, but surrounded by roadworks for the duration of our stay which we wasn’t made aware of prior to our stay. Rooms very tired, Black mould on bathroom ceiling due to extractor fan not working and no window to open, wallpaper peeling off of the walls in several places, curtains falling off rail as only hooks in the middle of each curtain leaving both sides hanging down. The lady on the desk was very friendly and helpful.

It would have been very helpful to know that outside of the hotel construction was happing during our stay and the whole street was closed off. Also the staff member who was there the last two days I stayed was unhelpful and rude to both me and my husband when all we were trying to do was clarify some simple logistics. If I knew how horrible it was going to be we would have never stayed there. Also the morning I was checking out, my husband went to get our car, and the car park that they told us to park in had a machine that was broken and not only was my husband having issues with it, 9 other people were as well, and when I told the guy at the front desk hoping he could perhaps let them know, he shugged his sholders, not until what I assume was the manger came out was I able to explaned to him what happend did anything get resolved. There were however two staff members that were great, the gentalman who worked in the evening and the lovely lady who worked the first moring we were there were super helpful.

Cool hotel during record temperatures in Paris

We stayed there for a week. Nothing was too much trouble, from a very late check in to a very late check out. All granted with a smile on the head receptionist’s face. The cleaners were always obliging when we needed extra coffee or clean towels. We were even given a very useful advice on going out in Paris’ record temperatures. We have already decided to come back to Paris. And to come back to stay at Hotel Pax Opera

Location is good. The room was super small and outdated. My biggest issue was the elevator - two steps to get to it and only goes up to the 5th floor. I was on the 6th with 35kg of luggage. The gentleman checking me in helped with the bags but coming back down was a challenge. At the reception, there’s an amazing woman with dark hair who works there (didn’t catch her name) - she is the best thing about this hotel. Kind, thoughtful and went above and beyond during my check out and arranging a transfer to the airport. While the hotel is 2 stars at best, this employee is 5+!

Perfect location with walking distance to many famous tourist spots. Small supermarket literally next door for basic stuff. Hotel has stylish and funky interiors resembling an opera. The only drawbacks were the tiny bathroom making the use of toilet a bit uncomfortable and the noisy street. But hey, it's the city centre :)

First of all, I would like to say they grab the money from the customers in a second when customers want the service but, if people want to do some changes or cancellations, hotels. Com take years to give an answer and the answer probably will be negative.

The hotel was just 'ok'. However, NONE of the photogarphs on your website are a true representation of the hotel/room I was in. I am sure this is NOT hotels.com doing intentionally as you are probably sent the images and post them in good faith. I feel you should check the images with the hotel. Not good value for money. AS I said it was just 'ok' - it was clean and the staff were incredibly polite - it was just a little disappointing to see the room nothing like the one inn the photograph.

This hotel was perfect for a weekend trip to Paris. Everyone was super helpful and nice. Good location and a cute little room. Wonderful time! The only thing I would suggest is the man they have driving the shuttle to make it an importance to get you to the airport at a better time.
