Scandi cool art gallery vibe hotel in brilliant location a few minutes walk from the majority of sights (Ducal Palace, Cathedral, river bridges) and eateries, shopping (or just window shopping))! No bar or evening meal, but who needs it with so much choice nearby. And if coming from airport (or departing) the bus stop is just 5-10 mins away. Regular buses … and FREE!! Takes c 20-30 mins.
Oh, and finally, breakfast. All I can say of the buffet is Mmmmm!!! (And coffee isn’t bad either.)
Negatives: might get a bit of outside noise at night but hey - you’re in the heart of the city!

This hotel is perfectly located. I stayed just to visit the Christmas markets and the location can’t be beat. The hotel should invest in room upgrades, however. The rooms are perfectly fine, but updating the bathrooms and giving regular hairdryers vs the old fashion kind bolted to the wall with the weird hose attachment… this would be appreciated. This is an elegant city so clients expect the room featured to be updated.

I suffered a cold while I was in Luxembourg, but I was grateful to be at Hotel Simoncini while I recovered. The staff person who checked me in was so helpful whenever I needed anything, and I'm so grateful for her. The art in the building was beautiful. The location was perfect for easy access to everything, including two Christmas markets, key sights, many eateries, and lots of shopping. I was able to pick up buses and trams easily as well. It was a delight stay with a fabulous breakfast and great service, and I'd love to stay here again!

Great location backing up to Place Guillaume ll. Walkable with suitcase to/from Buses and Trams, plus direct to Schipol Airport on Bus #6 or #16, and public transportation is FREE. My room was large for 1 person and the window had a side view of the square plus the Cathedral Notre-Dame. I walked everywhere ...! The breakfast was very lovely, couldn't resist a little foie gras! Friends who met me at my hotel loved the lobby and art and will stay here next time they're in Luxembourg.

We really liked this hotel and would stay again. The location is absolutely great for being close to shops, bars, restaurants and transport links. We did find it was a bit noisy being so close to the bars and activities going on outside so would recommend you bring ear plugs.
Also we found that the cleaners made quite a lot of noise quite early and knocked on our door pre 9am to ask to clean. Although not a huge deal we didn’t appreciate this.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Room was nice, bed was really comfy, best sleep I've ever had while away! All was clean etc, nice view and the church bells weren't a problem.

The breakfast was lovely, so much food, the lemon tart 😋 Very good position, easy walk down to the old town, a little harder on the way back up. Close to the bus stop for connections to the main bus station and the airport. Public transport is free in Luxembourg which is a real bonus! The city is beautiful.

Location very convenient to the airport. We were about to get a ride from the shuttle in both directions from the airport. We reserved a spot for the morning shuttle back to the airport, which was good since it was full. But apparently it goes frequently to the airport. Just be sure to call the front desk to arrange. It picks up and drops off in just 1 location at the airport, so you will have to get some directions if you’re not familiar with CDG. Staff was friendly and responsive. Property could use some upgrading. The room was a little old and worn in some ways but clean and overall very nice and the price was very reasonable. Our suite was very spacious with a small kitchen. The bathroom was the largest one we had in France. Very good experience. We’d stay there again.

Really wonderful stay at Hotel Simoncini!! Extra plus is the unique and special artwork and sculptures that are on display in the common areas and rooms, shared from the gallery next door. Exceptional service and amazing breakfast made our stay memorable. It was great to stay in Ville Haute of Luxembourg City, close to many restaurants and shops as well as convenient to the metro. Should I visit Luxembourg again, I would definitely stay here.

We Have stayed in Simoncini many times and have always been happy but I just have to say one thing about our recent stay - the rooms need air con! We laid on the bed awake all night, couldn’t breath from the heat and no air. They had a fan in the room but it barely did anything and was very noisy. Apart from that all was good. Breakfast is impressive

This hotel has some beautiful art work and poems throughout, and a small art gallery on the ground floor. We had 24 hours in Luxembourg and it was the perfect location to see all the sites in town. Very spacious modern room.

Odd room with no doors for the bath area
We got an odd, top floor room with no door on the bathroom. There was a tiny toilet cubicle with a door, but the shower area was open, so when you stepped out of the shower the only possible place to stand was directly in front of a large mirror in full view of everyone else in the room. Funny for a room with twin beds! People were nice and location good.

Small but nice bedroom and bathroom. Quite tight to move around the room around the bed but did it’s job. Shower pressure not very strong. Nice receptionist upon arrival, good choices at breakfast. Lots of sights within a short walk of the hotel. Put the do not disturb sign on the door so we wouldn’t get fresh towels etc to be ‘eco’ and yet for some reason house keeping still left is a bag of fresh towels etc outside our room? Nice gesture but defies the whole point?

The condition of the hotel was rather disappointing. The carpet was very stained and the bathroom in our room had a very strong sewer odor. Presumably coming from the bathroom vent. The bed was comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was quite good.

The hotel is located in the city centre, few steps from main squares and the Monument du souvenir. About 5 minutes walking to the bus station of line 16 going to the airport. The hotel is very clean, room was large. Whole hotel is decorated in contemporary style, full of works of art (it is connected with a gallery). Very good breakfast, lots of choice, fresh orange juice. Friendly staff, speaking also Czech.

Perfect location, really handy for old town and the sightseeing we wanted to do. Excellent, large bedroom, with a big, comfortable bed. It was very quiet despite the central location and a music festival going on in the square behind. There is lots of modern art dotted around if you're in to that sort of thing. Breakfast was superb with a huge choice from fresh fruit and cakes through croissants, cereal and eggs of any sort, in a lovely, brightly lit dining room; the service was prompt and friendly.

Hotel Simoncini located in the center, is very easy to reached. Staffs are very nice and friendly!! The breakfast is good, they also provide a fresh squeezed orange juice!! Supermarket and restaurants are nearby. And I also recommend “the blue burger” at Charles which next to this hotel!!

This hotel is in a perfect location. Right in the very center of things. Very close to the lively squares, city government buildings, cathedral, tourist sights, etc. Staff was very helpful. Room was small, but adequate.

Hotel is in a great location, right in the Old Town. Room is small and bathroom (which is very small) is not a separate room per se but divided from the bed area by a frosted glass door so very little privacy. Hotel is basic and probably too expensive for what is on offer, other than the location.

5 nights. 4 days, Early spring. Delightful weather. Hotel an excellent central base for exploring Luxembourg City on foot. We did not have a car. In any case - like most central city locations - a car would be more trouble than it's worth. Quicker, easier, totally stress free on foot. And good exercise! Plenty of cheap frequent buses available for further jaunts.

Great little hotel, right in the heart of the old city. Walking around the whole city from here was very easy and felt safe after dark as well. Also well connected for public transport, we got a bus to and from the airport very easily from nearby.
Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast each morning was great and really helped fill us up before we started exploring. Also as it was Easter, it was lovely to find little eggs in our room and at breakfast each day! Really nice touch.
