very expensive.Had to pay for breakfast and parking. Garage was very far from room and breakfast area.We had to move suitcases down a ramp and garage door wouldnt open.We stood in the rain.
facilities were spread out. 4 different buildings we had to access in the rain.Staff not friendly or accomadating.

Awful hotel poor staff smelly rooms tired decor

A poor quality hotel that is past its best. Its a budget hotel that charges mid level price and tries to look like a 5star hotel and fails.
The checkin was poor the staff seem like they can only just be bothered to do their job and don't seem to care about you or your stay. No offer of help to carry or move luggage and did not bother to show us to the room even thought there was 4 or 5 staff and no other guests.
We asked if it was better to unload our luggage by reception or by the door to the room block but was told that it would be easier to do in the underground car park.
As you drive down to the car park there is an over powering smell of raw sewage.
However once in the car park we thankfully went to find the room 1st only to find that the way out took us back to recption so was glad we had not unloaded our luggage as instucted by the lady on reception,
We then drove back out of the car park to unload by the room block.
When we entered the room it had a very strong bad smell and had clearly never been aired.
My wife then found the carpet was wet for some unkown reason. So had to go back to reception and get a new room.
This room was much better but still needed the window to be opened as was stuffy and stale.
The same problem in all the corridors a stale bad smell in all of them. A simple fix by opening a window each day when cleaning!
As others have mentioned overpriced parking.
Good location, poor staff and bad cleaning, never stay again. Google reviews say the same.

Great location but very dated

We stayed one night as we were passing through Luxembourg. The hotel is in a great location, only 5 min walk to the centre. Hotel has parking but quite expensive. We had a suite as there were 3 of us. The room was very dated with orange and blue walls, a mismatch of furniture. The room smelt very musty so we had to keep the fans going. It was fine for our needs.

The hotel was very close to the centre of the city and had the benefit of parking on site. It also welcomes dogs !!
We chose a superior room with valley view but were allocated a room with no views other than more walls !! This said the room was spacious, clean and quiet.

We paid extra for a Comfort room for two people - the tea and coffee offering were ridiculous - small paper cups with only one sachet of green tea or black tea available and milk pots that were so small they would not do for one small cup of coffee.

For a Comfort room there was ONE comfortable chair and although the room was large there was very little in it and so it was somewhat unwelcoming.

One pillow each as well is rather disappointing!

Disappointing for the price I'm afraid. We have stayed at this hotel previously and had a much better experience.

Hotel was clean and easy to get to and from. The price for the food and drink from the fridge at night is very expensive, so be aware. I went to the restaurant for a beer one afternoon and there was flies all over the place. Would not eat there under any circumstance and put me off my beverage. The staff was very pleasant and i slept well however.

The property was in a very run down condition and the room was very small, we spoke to the manager and asked to change room he just shrugged and suggested we left if not happy, not a word of sorry. We have stayed in better Formula 1 and for sure Ibis hotels for much less. If we had not prepaid we would not have stayed.

Very nice hotel, though not physically attractive. Staff friendly and helpful. Downsides: no air conditioning, and with the hotel very busy the parking, for which we had to pay 25 euros, was under pressure and the spaces were hard to find.

The hotel property is something out of the 1970s - and the condition shows it. The reception team was very pleasant and friendly. The room was large and clean, but the WiFi was terrible (I couldn’t even load images in my emails and there no hope of watching a video on my iPad); there was no air conditioning in our room (the building is a concrete Brutalist structure so retains heat and can’t cool down). Pillows were meager and very thin so had to ask for more. Breakfast was below average quality. Very average, unexceptional.

We had to book a stay at the last minute and this was one of the least expensive options. I wish I had spent double for a more reasonable hotel.

First, the location is pretty good, and the views out of some of the rooms are nice, for sure.

1. You may see some reviews talking about the pillows being too soft. I thought this was a joke until I got here. Even folding the pillow twice left no support for the head. My wife had the same issue.

2. The sheets on the bed were far too small for the size off the mattress, especially the bottom sheet. I don’t toss-and-turn all that much but halfway through the night the sheets had completely come undone and even scrunched up to expose the yellowed bare mattress. Nasty.

3. If you have a car and want to park where ever you stay, don’t stay here. It offers parking, but doesn’t have a parking lot. It shares a few spots with a nearby church and restaurant, but you have the navigate narrow paths and hope not to hit any car that is sticking out. If you try the underground garages, you either have tiny spots, or have to wander around to find signs with the hotel logo to make sure you get towed (threatened). Crazy that they charge 25€/day.

5. The room itself is odd. The shower is small with no curtain so the floor in the bathroom will get wet. There's no mini fridge, which is pretty useful when you're on vacation and have leftovers. Also, kinda odd to have a half used bottle of combination soap / shampoo in the shower.

The hotel was clean, but the hallways made me feel like I was back in the dormitory in college. The WIFI was horrible unless I went closer to the lobby in the hotel building. I say this as the main lobby for the hotel was in a separate building. The staff was friendly and they had a dining room on the property and the food was good. I had dinner and two breakfasts there (Euro continental). I'm happy I found this place, but as it wasn't in the center of town and the WIFI issues, I don't know if I would return, but the price I paid was great, so I wouldn't rule it out.

Good and bad points. Staff were friendly and informative. Room was a decent size and clean. However, the parking is expensive (€25 a night) and breakfast is expensive (€19 a day). This, together with the room rate means that effectively the room was €169 a night. Although (for some unknown reason) Luxembourg is very expensive, for this price the room was very very basic. Shower Gel on wall in shower but no other bathroom extras, no in-room safety deposit box, no mini bar, no tea/coffee making. Although there is a hotel bar/restaurant, the hotel is located 15 minute walk into the city so if the weather is bad, you have to eat there as there are no other restaurants close by. Also, if car park is full when you arrive then its walk to the nearest available car park.

It was our first trip as a couple and we booked this hotel because the location was incredible and they looked good in the photos, we booked a room with a view of the valley and a double bed. When we got to the hotel they gave us the room, but when we got there they were single beds and it didn't have a view of the valley as we had paid for. Very disappointed we went to the reception and the receptionist told us that there were no more double beds and no room with views of the valley, but we could pay 20e more and have a better room, to which we refused. Why they offer a service that they cannot give? I paid for a double room with views of the valley and they did not give me either of the two things, and we had to sleep apart in our firt trip.

The hotel was nice & central, room was clean & staff helpful. The hotel layout is very confusing though, the reception is hard to find and furthest from the road. Breakfast was served in a separate building, a few minutes walk away. Maybe a nice walk in the summer, but not so much in the winter. A covered walkway could have been good when it was raining & even snowing! There was no grab rail in the bathroom to help get into & out of the quite high step to the shower. No step free access to the restaurant.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The service was friendly. It would have been better if the room had air-conditioning. I tend to get hot more easily than most people. I probably could have asked reception for a fan, but I got in late and was too tired to bother. Overall, a pleasant hotel with a nice view if your room is facing the gorge in the back.

Clean and tidy rooms with plenty of space, really comfy beds. Bit hot in the room, air con would’ve been nice. Beautiful views around the hotel and a short walk into the centre for bars and restaurants.
Breakfast wasn’t so good. Bread buns had been out all night (we saw them the night before in the bar area). We chose to have a hot breakfast and it was cold.

Location is great - a 5-10 minute stroll from the town square and the same from the no. 16 (Airport) bus stop at Hamilius. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Able to leave bags behind reception before check-in/after checkout. Rooms are dated but clean, tidy and in great condition. Buffet breakfast offered at extra charge of 20€ pp at on site restaurant which was ok.

Nice clean room. Great view from the hotel. Could have done with more or thicker pillows.
Check-in was a nightmare. I didn't bring the credit card I booked with, I didnt know I needed to. This caused a slow check-in for me and everyone else. Also, why do I have to fill in a form when I check in? I just want to get to my room after a long trip and not be required to participate in the second volume of War and Peace.
Wifi signal in rooms was poor
Other than the sub-par check-in experience, I enjoyed my stay and the hotel is very central and the rooms are very nice.

Knock €100 off a night and it'd be right

I stayed here for business but it's really an extremely expensive price for a very basic and outdated room in what feels like a youth hostel. Skinny desk to work on with no power sockets anywhere near it. (Generally not enough sockets for the 21st century.) Workchair was too uncomfortable for anything more than brief use. Bed was so low and soft that it wasn't comfy and was 2 singles pushed together that didn't stay together. Windows provided no sound insulation so you're aware you're on a flight path till late at night. Decor is '80s and not the nostalgic kind. No kettle. Shower was good but with a shower curtain that sucks itself onto you...again how '80s. The only thing that was positive was a comfy chair to sit (and work) in. TV had a lot of channels missing. And finally room was swelteringly hot. No not finally... there was no Belle Vue (and never has been when I've stayed here before). I'm going to do everything possible to avoid having to stay here again. Certainly not what I'd expect for €183/night. I've just cancelled future stays and moved to a modern hotel for less money.

This was a nice one day stay for me. The bed was extremely comfortable. However, it being a warm period, I slept with the windows open. Right below the windows was the parking lot, so there was constant noise of people coming and going. Just on the outskirts of the center. Unfortunately, the grounds are not very accesible to travelers arriving with luggage by foot. And, the price is ridiculously expensive for what you get. Nevertheless, the staff was friendly and the place was clean.

classic hotel , a walking distance to all major attactions in the City as well as to the central station. The staff/Reception are nice and accommodating... the room was neat but the floor is dirty. One of the windows is not properly attached and just leaning on tge curtain... I saw the guests on the right srde of my room tryrng to let their heads out of the window and peeping in my room as I was seated on the reclined chair resting from a long trip... upon noticing them, I immediately close tke curtain and heard them close their windows, too... the room has no a/c which means you have to use the cool air outside... but because of that creepy experience, and no screen wrndows to protect insects from getting in, I ended up sleeping with all windows closed... good that the beautiful staff at tke reception brought me an electric fan after i' cgecked in that afternoon.

Nothing amazing but fulfilled its purpose

The staff were lovely and the hotel is not too far from the city centre. The room itself was fine, nothing special and the valley view looked over a basketball court mainly. Breakfast was included and had plenty of options. Overall a nice place and I would return again.

New Year in Luxembourg

Although this hotel would win no awards for style,being a homage to the 1970s,it was very well located for both the station and the city.
The room was a bit compact,but was warm and cosy and nice to come home to from the terrible weather during our stay.
Breakfast was a good selection,and generally tasty apart from the scrambled egg.Pastries were very fresh,and coffee was good.
The hotel had a bit of a university campus feel about it.Reception was in a different building,and the bar and restaurant are again separate.
Luxembourg is delightful-like a fairytale in places-but expensive by British standards.
