The room is a bit spartan: no closet, no mini safe or fridge.
The bathroom is tiny and to sit on it was a challenge.
The shower was fantastic! Nice water pressure.
The zone is a bit peculiar with shady bars and nigh clubs (Barbarella and others) nearby.
It's not very well frequented,expecially at night. Anyway it's super close to the train station and public transport.
The breakfast was good, the personnel is professional and kind.

The room was tiny, very difficult to ‘live out of,’ no room for suitcases, the bathroom is about the size of an understairs cupboard and the temperature of the room may have been hotter than the surface of the sun. Outside the hotel there are a number of strip clubs with groups of people that intimidated and meant we could not keep the window open due to noise.

As expected from Ibis brand, only negative which is very much consistent on Ibis, is the lack of pillows! Super soft, so don't give much neck support and only one additional pillow in a double/twin room.

Property is conveniently located near the train station with a few restaurant choices nearby. The area is slightly below average, with a club across the street. My other issue is that the check-in clerk told me I pre-payed for breakfast, when I hadn’t. The hotel then charged us for breakfast…$38! I didn’t even want breakfast!! Otherwise, staff was friendly and polite.

Avoid Unless You Travel Alone

Do not book a room here unless the room is for a single person. The double rooms have no place to put luggage for two people and are so small you have to climb over the bed to reach the bathroom when someone else is standing in the room. Also subpar heat means you are cold all night in the winter. Oh, and its right next door to a strip club.

Hotel right by station in heart of city which was ok but the area which it was in was smelly stank of weed and was full of pervy african men ogling every woman that came within earshot. Old twn bout 10 mins walk away was beautiful had very scenic views and was lovely xmas markets. And not as expensive as u might think.

Great hotel for a stop-over in Liege, conveniently located for bus and train passenger. Hotel well organised, with very helpful staff - lovely central atrium/ patio in centre of the building. The breakfast was great

In contrast: Bad hotel if you're driving - there is no car park on site - its a multi-storey a short walk away. This part of Liege is a horrible armpit - keep your hand on your wallet. It really doesn't feel safe after dark.

Incredibly sketchy and unsafe area. Druggies and strip clubs around makes it very uncomfortable to walk around the area and stay at the hotel. While they say Luxembourg is a safe country I felt unsafe most of the time near this area but near the city center was fine.
Train station also very sketchy. Do not recommend for solo travellers or family folks.

Great location in beautiful city

Easy walk to train station. In Luxembourg all 2nd class train travel, trams and buses are free. Had excellent room away from street therefore very quiet. Room got very dark and with excellent bed good rest. Breakfast didn’t have hot food, but everything was good tasting and well supplied. I’ll take the better bed over breakfast every time. GREAT STAFF!!

The hotel was very cute and pretty clean. Several times we walked in and there was no one at the front desk. Our ceiling appeared to have mold above the shower. Room was very small but comfortable. We were able to walk everywhere, but public transport is free if wanting to go further out. The street the hotel was on was a little bit dirty and there were a lot of strange men standing around. I would’ve been uncomfortable walking outside the hotel if by myself.

3nights 2days in luxemburg city.

The hotel is very handy for the train station and trams and buses which are all free to travel on anywhere you like in Luxemburg. We caught the bus to Ettlebruck and then caught another to Vianden. We then went round the castle out for the day. The Ibis staff are great and very helpful the hotel was spotlessly clean and the breakfasts had a good choice of foods. The bonus for us was that we could safely keep our Motorcycle in the underground garage which was brilliant as it has a roller shutter door that closes once you enter. We had a great stay here.

Perfect short stay hotel.

The hotel's a 2 min walk to the central train station which has bus & tram stops nearby. All public transport is free, so don't pay for a transfer.
The ibis is good for a short stay, but the rooms are very small, the twin beds can be moved 20cm apart maximum. Our room overlooked the front of the reception which meant noises from the strip club across the road went on until the early hours.
Breakfast is good and the staff friendly.

Too expensive for a budget hotel

The hotel itself is on a quite sketchy street with what appeared to be gangs on street corners. We felt unsafe that we crossed the road to avoid them and did not leave the hotel late at night.
All the rooms appeared to be the same size, which was quite small when you have two suitcases. The TV had only a couple of English channels and the room was a bit cold with the aircon only blowing out cold air. However, the room was clean and the shower was good with soaps and shampoos included.
For the price (£87 per night) i think this was not worth it for the area. Breakfast should at least be included.
They are an eco friendly hotel so they do not provide you with water bottles and tea and coffee is not available in the room and you have to go downstairs to get your free tea or coffee (only from 11am - 10pm).

Fine For One Night

Close to train station. Had what I needed. TV channels not great. Would have liked CNN or an English news channel.

Only major complaint is that the large bed was positioned so close to the wall it was impossible to get my suitcase to the other side without lifting it over, which would have been difficult post-surgery. Staff was friendly and helpful. For one night, fine!

The hotel is simple and don’t have mini fridge or anything but it is pretty close to the main station. Many restaurants and supermarkets around. The old guy that was the receptionist when we arrived was amazing, trying to help us the best way possible, otherwise in the day of our departure we woke up early just to have breakfast and then get our train, but we got stopped once the lady of the reception said that the breakfast was not included in our stay. We booked this hotel just because of this facility so I showed her my reservation/confirmation and either way she kept saying that the mistake was from hotels.com (where I made the reservation) not the hotel mistake. Well, once I work with hospitality I know that consumer must be always right and for sure it wasn’t MY FAULT. So they should solve the problem with hotels.com, not me but yeah, never gonna stay in this hotel again and hope hotels.com also do something/have any attitude about this inconvenient situation.
