The listing said there was air conditioning but there was only a fan in the room. Walls and bathroom were pretty dirty. Rooms are small. Shower was broken - nothing there to hold the shower head above you.

The shower clogged up. Water was overflowing the entire bathroom. I asked to change rooms. The hotel is not full, but instead, they sent someone to dig up a nasty clump of hair clogging up the shower and didn’t change the room. So I had to deal with a flooded bathroom all night.

Next day, I accidentally left my key card in the room and got a nice lecture that the hotel is not responsible if someone have access to the room when I leave the card in the room. Who else other than the hotel has access to the room?

The area is also very dodgy. Do yourself a favor and spend an extra €50 and get a better place

The ad said AC, but there was none. It was cool so no big deal. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. It's hard to give it above 3 stars because it's an older place that is quite small, but everything worked fine. Across the street are some clubs (cabaret?) so maybe not the best with kids, but it wasn't loud or unsafe.

Small tired room in a budget hotel but not at budget price. Extremely expensive for what it was. Area not very good. Noisy and dodgy , people hanging about outside. Not near the centre although very near the train station.

The person who greeted us was amazing, friendly and took the time to show us a map of all the spots to visit and food places to try. After that, it went downhill. The room stank of cigarettes and the window wouldn’t close properly to stop the smell. The shower was broken and the room was dirty. I question if the sheets were even changed

The room is extremely small. The plugs are not functioning properly. The TV is not working. The soap in the bathroom was so old that when I opened it, it became small pieces. Not great at all. I do not recommend.

Definitely a 3 star as disclosed, set expectations accordingly.

Attached restaurant had excellent donar Kabob, good value. Very close to Central train station. Bus service from airport to train station was good and inexpensive.

For the right trip, a good value.

Good hotel but at extortionate price

Luxembourg is a lovely city. This hotel is located in the \"roughest\" part of the city apparently, but you would feel safer there than in an average part of most European cities. That being said, prostitution seems to be legal here, and there is a brothel right across the road and down a bit from this hotel. Some travellers might not think that is a bad thing, but I am not sure how the hotel can justify charging over £100 per night considering it is clearly not suitable for all. The girls outside the brothel weren't harassing passers by as they do in some cities, and there didn't appear to be any drug dealing on the street, but what unnerved me was the fact the hotel reception was left un-manned most of the time, even when I arrived back at 10pm at night. I just walked in through the automatic doors and into the lift. Presumably any visitor to the brothel could have did the same. Or even the hookers..

Horrible experience

It was horrible! I requested for a 2 adult room and when I got there, it showed 1 adult. My bro and I arrived to the hotel at 3:30am from Paris (comments written as well that we will be late in the wee hours), tired and exhausted. The person in the front reception told me I \"cancelled\" the request and asked me to pay extra for the room...so we did. And I didn't want to complain because we were at a foreign country not knowing what's out there at 3:30 in the morning. We got to our room and there was a couple sleeping in the room already. My brother had to go down to the receptionist and changed the room. At this point it was already 4:30am... we finally got to our room. Hotel.com I hope you can do something about this situation because it was the worst experience I've ever had!

Get what you pay for nothing fancy basic amenities. Super small lift almost too small for one above avg size person. Rooms small. Good bargain in a pricey town nice for an overnight stay.

Shabby with non-existent breakfast

The overall ambience of the hotel was a bit shabby and tired. The room was cheap but not very cheerful. A carpet that should be in a museum, tired furniture and decor. The mood was further depressed by the common areas being in almost total darkness with timer lights stuttering into action a few seconds too late to avoid you bumping into things. There's a 3 person lift which could only accommodate that many if they were anorexic midgets.
Breakfast was jaw-dropping and not in a good way. A few warmed rolls, cold eggs, sliced veg, tea and coffee for 10 Euros a pop. Not great.
Service was... missing.

Overall recommendation - look elsewhere first and only stay here if you have to.

Lift not big enough for two people. Only big enough for one person a a small bag!
I have made phone calls in bigger places than this lift.
Stayed two nights, no hot water for the whole time. My assets were frozen.There were brass monkeys looking for welders.

Budget hotel with friendly staff.

Room condition was old and had a smell when I first walked in..i left the window open then it was ok. The lock of the room they have me was broken so they gave me another room. However, the drain of the tub and the handle of the door was also broken in the second room, but they didn't really bother me. The property condition was old but the friendly staff made up for it. And it's only like 5min walk to the train station and 20min walk to the central/downtown.

cheap hotel right next to the train station...

You get what you pay for. Gross part of town, lots of strip clubs and seedy at night. As I was only in town for 24 hrs a cheap place to stay was all I was looking for. However, as I had my young son with me, I would've paid the extra £30 to stay at a nicer place in retrospect. Small room, not terribly modern, but clean and everything worked. The staff was super friendly and breakfast was included. They were even kind enough to hold our bags for the day after we checked out and their restaurant is open all day - good for people that can't wait until 6pm for other restaurants to open. So, a very nice group of people but not a great neighborhood to walk through if you are a lady on your own.

Not a good experience!

This was NOT a good experience.

The room did NOT have tea/coffee, bath & shower or fridge facilities even though this was stated at time of booking and in the bookings summary from Hotels.com.

The hotel is opposite a noisy bar, which continues into the early hours.

The entire street is well known in Luxembourg as being a 'red light' area. One has an uncomfortable feeling while accessing the Hotel at night

Very convenient from many points of view.

I stayed for 4 nights. Very central, very close to train station, great access to buses (including those for airport).
The noise from restaurants in the area bothered me. By closing the windows it could be quiet but I prefer the fresh air.
Used as office, it was a little bit uncomfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful.
I found at restaurant dishes that I like (soup, fish, vegetables).

Stay away, if you can

The neighbourhood outside hotel is the scariest I have ever been in. Nevertheless, receptionist at hotel makes sure no-one but guests come in and room door are only unlocked electronically with a keycard. Hotel in bad condition but clean. Breakfast decent but you have to pay 10 euros extra most of the time.

Inadequate facilities in a nasty area

TV not working and not repaired after it was reported
No hot water, and not repaired after it was reported
No power socket near the desk, and electricity switches off when you leave the room, so you can't recharge your computer
No tea/coffee in the room
Outside area is very nasty and full of drug-dealers etc.
Bed was very comfortable and the hotel breakfast was nice; staff were friendly

Bad (ghetto) neighborhood so didn't feel safe. Room lock did not work and when I arrived, there were stains on the bed. I asked to change rooms but they were full. They changed the beddings at least. Definitely not staying there again.

Near the station, noisy neighborhood

Stayed here during a biz trip. Very close to the central train station and bus terminal (3-4 minutes walking). A bit noisy at night with some kind of seedy looking bars and \"clubs\" in the neighborhood, but it is Luxembourg, so it wasn't a problem.

Breakfast was adequate. Cereal, bread, coffee, tea, juice, hard boiled eggs, deli meat and cheese. Good enough to get you going.

The only minor problem was that the wifi in my room was unstable. Not a huge issue, but made it hard to check e-mail and such.

Also, if you are a light sleeper, you may find that the rooms along the street are a bit noisy until about 2am or so. I didn't have a problem though.

Noisy, hot and uncomfortable

Situated on what must be the noisiest street in Luxembourg, if not in Europe, the hotel benefits from being in close proximity to bars, cafes, restaurants and strip clubs. The night-time noise was deafening, and went on into the small hours. It was warm the week I stayed and it was like a steam room or sauna in the room. Only by opening the windows fully and holding them open with the curtains could I get any air circulation. This, of course, let in every sound from the street. If you're out on the town or like staying up till three or four, you'll like it, but be prepared to be woken by noisy trucks at 6AM. Would rather sleep on the street than go back to this hotel.

Functional, but very basic

The room was very small. With two single beds there was maybe two feet on either side of them. There was one power outlet, inconveniently located on the same wall as the door. It was incredibly hot and stuffy, and I was only able to sleep by propping the door to the \"balcony\" open with my shoe so there was some air. On the plus side, there was a tiny balcony and the windows have shutters to enable darkness, but they are no help against the half dozen bars on the street, populated by loud and boisterous patrons who made noise till well after midnight. It was cheap but I wouldn't recommend it.

Not bad for the price

Located close to the train/bus station giving easy access to the city centre, Kirchberg business area and the airport. Surrounded by bars it can be noisy at night. The hotel feels more like a three star than four, but offers good value for money. My room was basic, but clean. The breakfast was also quite basic. I received friendly service on check in/out. I'd use it as a cheap base for business trips but would prefer something a little more up market on a leisure trip.

Stay was good. Only about a four block walk from the train station. Room was clean and the desk clerk was very helpful. Noise could be a problem if you are in a front room of the hotel as there is a bar just across the street. Rooms are small, but okay.

A Bidet Does Not Make You A Thee Star Hotel

This hotel was a joke.
It looks like it was recently purchased and renamed (formerly Vasco de Gama hotel- the name and kitsch were still everywhere- the sign over the front door was covered up with packing tape).
-Checked in and were treated rudely and dismissively when we did not have a paper with a confirmation number on it. Pulling up the number on the iPhone was also rejected. The computerized reservation system uses the first names of guests- which as you can imagine- led to numerous problems. We had to look through the hotel's hard copies of reservations to find ours to prove that we had a reservation before grudgingly being allowed a room.
Even after all that- our friend who had reserved a single room was charged for our double room.
- the room was covered in cigarette burns- several along the edge of the bathtub, phone, bedside table, blankets
-the bathroom itself was in desperate need of repairs and a good scrubbing. I refused to shower there.
-strip club, XX cinema, and prostitutes were on the same street as the hotel
-very very narrow beds, double room had two pushed together.
-Man at the desk spoke many languages- normally a plus- but he would switch between english, german, and french in one sentence making things even more confusing.
-the hotel claimed to have 'soundproof' rooms- ha!
-no air conditioning.

-The one good thing I can say for this hotel is that their breakfast was very nice. Fresh croissants, rolls, eggs, etc.

夜遅くまで音楽鳴り、騒いでおりうるさい。
洗面の電気は切れたまま直してくれなかった。
またティーの補充もなかった。

Trevlig och hjälpsam personal!
Hotellet ligger dock i ett skumt område, åtminstone i kontrast till resten av stan. Det är inte ett stort hotell och rummen är ganska slitna, ex eluttag som inte sitter fast och slitna möbler/dörrar. I renoveringsbehov.

Great service!

The staff was very friendly nad helpful. The room was on the small side but clean and the beds were comfortable. Very close to the central station and tram. Walking distance to the old town if you don't mind walking a little. Only downside was the loud cafe across the street. We enjoyed our stay and got great recommendations from the staff of what to see and do in the city.

The whole room wasn't really clean. The bed was full with hairs, even in the bathroom were a lot of hairs.
Fortunately they changed the sheets very quick and without any noize.

At least, I paid way to much for this hotel. Even the area wasn't really nice, I could hear the bars the whole night!

For the price and the listing of 3* I would expect Much better. It’s surrounded by strip clubs and sex shops and I heard men outside my window scream-speaking to women all night. Not a good choice for a business trip, or for any reason... Oh, also there are non smoking signs everywhere but my room had a old timey cigarette stench. No thanks! Told my organization Never again!

Kamer is netjes, bedden zijn goed. Receptie is niet zo behulpzaam. Maandag met uitchecken wel vriendelijke man van de receptie, andere 2 dagen niet. Locatie is niet geschikt voor koppels, hotel ook niet. Meer voor vrienden. Nachtclub tegenover en paar cafés. Locatie wel goed, 200 meter van bus en treinstation en ook in buurt van winkelcentrum. De lift is veel te klein, 6uur morgens wakker geworden door vrachtwagen ondanks raam en rolluiken dicht.

Bedbug in room and no reply from manager

I travelled to Luxembourg for business and stayed two nights from 3rd to 5th July 2019. I travel here quite frequently and have also stayed at your hotel once before. However, this time the stay resulted very unfortunate. Yesterday evening 4th of July I found that there was a bedbug in my room.

I was utterly disgusted, as it is evident that the creature I found in my room is a bedbug. I reported this immediately to the reception and was offered to change rooms, but they could not offer me any compensation and told me to contact the manager of the hotel by email. I wrote the email same morning (5th July) and yet by today (11th July), I have not received any answer for my email...

After this event, I’m doubtful of whether I dare to come back another time to this hotel... Look forward to hearing from you how you are to counter this very unfortunate issue.

Mir ist schleierhaft wie dieses Hotel 3 Sterne haben kann. Die Ausstattung ist sehr einfach. Der Schrank fällt schon auseinander. Der Safe funktioniert nicht, die Zimmertüre lässt sich von innen nicht verriegeln und das alles in einer sehr zweifelhaften Umgebung. 260 € pro Nacht für dieses Hotel ist eine Frechheit!

Das Hotel liegt sehr nahe am Bahnhof und damit relativ nah am Zentrum. Leider ist das Parken ein Problem und das Umfeld im Bahnhofsviertel etwas zwielichtig.
Das Hotel ist sauber und ordentlich, die Zimmer sind klein, aber auch als Doppelzimmer ausreichend.
Leider war das Frühstück sehr sparsam und erst nach längerer Wartezeit konnte ausreichend Material besorgt werden.
Der Preis ist für Luxemburger Verhältnisse günstig.

Je zit goed als scheiden moet

Toen we last time geboekt hadden, hadden we een heel goed gevoel. Mooie foto's kortom een droom city trip dicht bij huis. TOT we er ter plekke aankwamen. Een trage bediening, minstens 20 minuten moeten wachten. Daarna als gaykoppel vraagt de creapy receptionist of er apparte bedden nodig zijn. We zeggen nee en de blik van hem sprak boekdelen. (Niet al te positief.) Verder een slechte boxspring met gaten in het hoeslaken, de mede gasten hoorde je uiteraard ook. Eens wakker geworden denk je de positieve noot, het ontbijtbuffet, ach ja buffet... 3 schellen kaas, 2 vlees, koude eieren,... En dan de overheerlijke Marokkaanse koffie (die totaal te drinken was) was dat ontbijtbuffet totaal niet de prijs waardig.open electriciteit leidingen en de familie douche spreekt boekdelen, stopcontact om gsm op te laden gebruik je in de in de badkamer boven de schuine tablet, daaronder bevind zich een lavabo die niet doorloopt er was geen stop maar die was helemaal niet nodig. Ontbijt start in het weekend om 7 uur..... Om 9h30 helaas afgelopen want de kebab zaak/roomservice moet gegarandeerd worden ..... Conclusie van het ontbijt, in het weekend met je u aan de halal uren houden. Algemene conclusie: wil je scheiden of wens je een onromantische city trip is dit the place to be, ook om een relatie crisis te doormaken. Wil je effectief goedzitten, boek aan de overkant Ibis style

スーパーマーケットがあって便利でした。

駅近くです。パリからの、暗くなってからの雨の中の到着でしたが、思いのほか近くて分かりやすく助かりました。ホテルの通りのほか、突き当たりにもスーパーマーケットがあって、翌日はそこで買ったリンゴをかじりながら旧市街まで歩いて観光しました。

기차역에서 도보로 2,3분 정도로 굉장히 가깝기때문에 기차나 버스 시간이 이른 아침이어도 문제없이 도착할 수 있습니다. 시내까지는 도보 10분정도가 소요되기 때문에 여행을 위해 잠깐 머무시는 거라면 대중교통 이용할 일은 없을 것 같습니다. wifi 신호 잘 잡힙니다. 프론트가 24시간 운영돼서 편리하고, 직원이 굉장히 친절합니다. 객실은 불쾌한 정도는 아니지만 아주 깨끗하다는 느낌을 받지는 못했습니다. 난방 잘 되고 온수 잘 나와서 저는 전반적으로 만족스러웠습니다.

一人旅で2泊しました。昼12時前に到着しましたがwelcomeと言われる、気持ちよく早めにチェックイン出来ましたが、部屋がまだ掃除してなくって、即他の広めの部屋(無料)に変えてもらいました。近くにバー、レストラン、スーパーマーケットがたくさんあります。駅からスーツケースを持って移動
出来る範囲内で、部屋にはミニ冷蔵庫と湯沸かし器、ドライヤーがありました。
