Ok, but a bit noisy

Nice staff and great restaurant. Hotel a bit “tired” ie carpets worn etc. Biggest problem was I had a room with the busy road on one side and the open atrium in the centre of the hotel on the other. This meant that there was a lot of noise when trying to sleep from both sides of the bedroom with the bar being in the atrium below.

No complimentary tea or coffee in room, no lotion, no conditioner, no sandals. Intercom was not working for the period I stayed there. Strange that breakfast was charged separately for the amount I paid. The gym had only 3 cardio equipment (treadmill and two bicycles). I didn’t even attempt to use the gym. The restaurant made good food for dinner though.

Gets the job done.

The lobby was welcoming. Most staff understood English and were able communicate in English. They were courteous. This is one of the hotels where you see actual room keys hanging behind the service desk. Rooms were bit on the older side and need a remodeling. Free WiFi but was spotty. I could not stream anything but could check emails though.

The location for our business trip was perfect. The staff were helpful and went above and beyond to make out 5 night stay comfortable. Breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff will work with you if you need something not on the buffet.

Few issues. Our room cost over $100 A night but didn't have air conditioning, a water kettle or even a complimentary bottle water. We were told we would have to pay an additional 30 Euros per night for a room with air conditioning. This was NOT mentioned on Expedia description information.

They did bring us a water kettle and pedestal fan upon request as well as an ironing board and iron.

During our time in Germany this trip, we have also stayed at a Movenpick and NH hotel and Holiday Inn. All were similar in price. All had air conditioning.

Ok hotel for bussiness or for the nearby hospital

We stayed there for several months in an
apartment due to the illness of my mother in the INI. The whole hotel is a mediocar. Room cleaning is v superficial. Breakfast is good but menu is v limited for room service and dining. Most of the staff are helpful and friendly.
Recreational facilities are Ok but not superb. It is far from downtown so it is convenient for business travellers and if you want to be close to INI

Good location for where I had to be. Room was apartment; very spacious...although it could use a good lift. Hotel is a bit old-fashioned. However service was really good and breakfast had a good selection. Only downer. There was a gym, where the equipment was out of order. Somewhat defeats the purpose, hence my rating. However, for a quick stop and a good value, this is a good choice.

Not as good as the pictures made it seem

Rooms were old but clean. The lampshade in my parents room was burned and frayed which should have been replaced. The breakfast for €19.90 per person is way to high. Restaurant Ambiente was good but pricey. Only one elevator was working so it took 10 minutes to get the elevator which we had to take because we had a family member with us using a walking cane.

Cheap to stay

It is ok as a cheap accomodation. The room has water pipe broken stains on the carpet because of this. I already read reviews with the same remark from last year and it still has the same stains and broken pipe, etc.

Hope the management does something about the much needed repairs.

The hotel itself is not bad for staying a night or two

Perfect location for us as we were attending the large Domotex exhibition. The hotel is 5mins away by car and there is a handy subway cafe next door!

Just disappointed in many aspects

Terrible mattresses (steel springs), dirty carpets, plastic towel holders, etc.. This hotel looks like no one has invested into repairs and renovation in many years. Certainly not to the German standards and yet rather expensive one. DEfinitely not worth 4 stars.

This is not a typical Wyndham hotel. We did not have AC but booked a room with AC. Took a bit of work to get all straightened out. We booked so we could feel comfortable about the quality going with a Wyndham. Decent hotel but definitely not at US Wyndham standards.

Wouldn't recommend the apartments

Hotel is absolutely dated. For the price they charge, I was not expecting this.
The main reason of this review is to warn other potential guests not to go for any of the suites or \"apartments\", not so much for the suites as such but for the access to get to them. You have to go through the back access where they get the deliveries for the kitchen and other things. It was utterly disgusting and stinking. You had to hold your breath, it was that bad.
You are better off somewhere else. Don't bother. I had to stay here as a last minute booking during the recent IAA fare. This is the only way they can get away with it. Hopefully this review will reduce the chances of other suffering the same fate.

The hotel is ideally located for my business purposes. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean overall. The only criticism I have is that the room had a kettle with two mugs, but there were no coffees, teas, etc to make any hot drinks with - not sure what the point was to have the kettle there for.

Stolen personal item and loud banging noises

Even though it was classified an apartment and was of a very decent size, it was missing amenities such as coffee-maker and basic utensils. Disposable cups weren't refilled even though they were used and disposed of in the first couple of days. My brand new loofah / bath mitt became missing after the 3rd day... someone else obviously needed it more than I do. And loud, but dull banging noises that actually shook my room happened during the early hours of couple of mornings and once late at night. Other than that, staff was quite polite. I didn't lodge any concerns to them, since I was away from the hotel property most of the time.

Issue with Breakfast

I have a reservation for a privilege room which seems to be the better rooms on the top floor. The rooms were nice and no complaint there. However, upon check out I was told that we had to pay for breakfast. I was under the assumption that breakfast was included, as I had confirmed this with Hotels.com before. Not sure who's making the mistake either Mercure or Hotels.com but it was very frustrating at the time.

We booked into this Hotel at 15.20 and had booked out by 16.00hrs. This Hotel is rated as a 4 star and can't understand why, it is very dated inside the communal areas and rooms. Unusual colour schemes which wouldn't look out of place in the 70's. No tea and coffee making facilities. Situated just off Autobahn on the roundabout in an industrial/commercial area, Nice view of electric plant. Nothing of interest in immedieate area, no where to eat. No information in rooms, no bar menu or room service menu so if you wanted to see the room service menu you needed to stand and read it in the lift.

Great Value in This Location

I had a business meeting with a company from the local science park, so the location was perfect. The price was very reasonable considering it was high season, everything worked and it was clean. Unseasonably hot weather made me wish for air conditioning in my bedroom, but the bed was very firm and comfortable, and most importantly the hotel was very quiet.

Breakfast was standard continental fare and the service brisk and efficient.

The staff in all departments were friendly and helpful, sourcing a data priojector at short notice, and the delegate rate for the seminar rooms was reasonable. Here there were wall-mounted air conditioners, which were efficient, if a little noisy for a meeting room.

In summary, good value in the commercial district of this charming city.

All rooms facing south are in need of air conditioning in the summer. Open windows are not an option because of road noise during the night. Staff is (mostly) courteous and professional. The bar is great. The breakfast is almost prohibitively expensive.

Personal war top. Kann man aber auch nicht viel falsch machen in einem 2-Minuten-Gespräch.
Das Zimmer war katastrophal. Ich habe eine Juniorsuite gebucht, die aussah wie ein Schlachtfeld aus dem 1. oder 2. Weltkrieg. Überall Flecken und Löcher im Teppich. Couch war kurz vor Verwesung. Einrichtung minimal (85% des Zimmers war einfach LEER). Der Fernseher war älter als das Hotel und von der Diagonale kleiner als ein 50€-Schein.
Badezimmer im Kurcentrum war besser als in dieser Juniorsuite eines 4 Sterne Hotels.

Das Personal in der Rezeption war unfähig und unfreundlich. Es war nicht in der Lage mir eine Firmenrechnung zu erstellen. Und hatte dabei noch einen unfreundlichen Ton angelegt. Das Frühstück war gut. Die Zimmer sind ungemütlich eingerichtet aber sauber.
Ich glaube nicht das ich ein Zimmer dieser Gruppe nochmals buchen werde.

Bei uns ist die Wahl auf dieses Hotel getroffen, da es in unmittelbarer Nähe der MHH liegt und wir sehr früh einen Termin vor Ort hatten. Es gibt gute Anschlussmöglichkeiten in die Innenstadt und für unsere Zwecke waren wir zufrieden. Das Personal war freundlich und man hatte eigentlich alles was man braucht. Zum Abendessen können wir uns nicht äußern, da wir nicht daran teilgenommen haben. Zum Frühstück können wir uns auch nicht äußern, da wir das Hotel schon sehr früh aus Termintechnischen Gründen verlassen mussten.

Hotelzimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Die Einrichtungen sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnten hier und da einmal erneuert werden. Sehr praktisch ist der Aussenbereich mit der kleinen Terrasse. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Nachts war es im Lobbybereich und auf den Gängen zu den Zimmern sehr laut.

Personal freundlich, das war’s dann aber auch schon.
Zimmer total abgerockt. Putz kommt im Bad von den Wänden, Duschkopf fällt beim Duschen ab, alles alt und unfreundlich. Auf den Fluren stinkt es bis zum Himmel. Keine Klimaanlage, mit Fenster auf schlafen auf Grund des Straßenlärms unmöglich. Definitiv nie wieder.

Bei über 30 grad keine Klimaanlagen, weder in der Lobby noch in den Zimmern. Nicht hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sehr unhöflich. Das schlimmste war eine Verstopfung in der Badewanne, Wasser ist nicht abgeflossen wir konnten nicht duschen. An der Rezeption entschuldigte man sich nicht und sagte nur \"wir geben das weiter\". Das Mindeste bei einer Übernachtung ist Duschen zu können. Zusätzlich wurde man um 7:30 spätestens geweckt, da wir durch die fehlende Klimaanlage mit offenem Fenster schlafen mussten und direkt unter uns der Wintergarten für das Frühstück ist. Somit haben wir alle Lauten Gäste gehört (es war zu dem Zeitpunkt eine jugendliche Fußballmannschaft da). Eine große Katastrophe. Entspannung und Erholung null.

Sehr gutes Bett. Große Zimmer. Badezimmer schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Zimmer nach hinten raus relativ ruhig trotz Lage an einer Hauptstraße!
