A/c was broken, room was sweltering. Fortunately the windows opened. Receptionist got quite cross when we had to chase him for more pillows for the bed, which was a bit of a shock. The pool was freezing but it was very hot so it was quite refreshing. We didn't have breakfast but a Caesar's salad that we ordered for lunch bore little relation to Caesar's salad as you might know it - limp green lettuce leaves and swamped in dressing. Not a great location unless you need to be at or near the hospital. Some great options for restaurants about a half hour walk away. Not terrible but not good enough.

Ok for a night

Hotel was ok for a sleepover while travelling. Pool was not ggod for kids as it was 1 level everywhere. Not too bad at all for 1 night stay. Parking a bit expensive.

Clean, kind staff - we arrived two hours before check-in and they fixed a room for us, nice breakfast, noiseless aircondition and a great pool. Only downside was the area, which was kind of boring, but if you just need a quick stay, a dip In the pool and a nice bed for the evening, this is perfect!

Very good experience with the Mercure Hotel in Hannover. Nice and friendly staff what we always ready to help with questions. Pool option and good parkering on site.

The hotel was ok, fine for a stopover to Berlin but nothing special. Nice restaurant by the pool but very expensive breakfast, which we skipped and extra parking charges for the night. Small double rooms

The hotel was well laid out and easy to use. The pool was good if a little chilly - bracing I would say. The room was a good size and the bathroom very well equipped. However, the hotel was noisy - being right next to the ibis hotel, with a shared car park. It is also very close to the main road, passing by medical school and a seeming collection point for the local drunks at the weekend, shouting out in the early hours. you have to pay 12 euros per night to park your car, which I thought was too much. the wi-fi was poor.

The air-conditioning does not work. I had read one review about that prior to booking, but disregarded it since no one else mentioned it. The room was boiling making it too uncomfortable to sleep. Only other complaint is it's describe as a non smoking hotel, but you could smell smoke everywhere. Otherwise nice, modern hotel. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Not much in the area, but we were just stopping in for night on a road trip so it didn't matter to us.

Pretty good but not amazing

Check in was easy and smooth, the room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was spotless. However, there was a real lack of power outlets, and particularly NONE anywhere near the bed, very annoying. The breakfast was pleasant but I had a nasty surprise at lunch when I took a mouthful of what I thought was red peppers in a creamy sauce but it was prawns - not labelled at all as seafood :( - there wasn't much available for a vegetarian.

Fantastic customer service

We just stayed a few days as we were meeting up with family. The friendly helpful staff were second to none, one in particular speaking excellent English and was supposed to be finishing his shift as we checked in. He had loads of time for us which made us feel right at home.
Would definitely recommend this hotel. Breakfast was excellent especially the selection of teas.

My new favourite hotel in the area

This hotel has everything I was looking for: parking just outside front door, quiet location, great breakfast selection, attentive staff, free wifi, comfortable and clean rooms. Very nice decor in the bar area, very cosy and climatic. Good wine selection, food was tasty. We had a great stay and definitely going to come back.

Nice Amenities

The restaurant, sauna and buffet breakfast are all nice additions while staying at the hotel. The hotel room was standard and the hallway to my room smelled like cigarettes the entire time I was there, so that was a little unpleasant. Overall I had a nice time and would consider staying there again.

Not worth the money

Nothing more than a place to sleep. Nothing in the area. Room was clean but furnishings and attributes of the room are more like a 2 star motel in the U.S. Restaurant is nice although only experienced for breakfast - which was very expensive. Staff would not allow cancellation and refund of the final night when I attempted to change my departure.
Certainly not worth $200+ per night. Unless you are there for a medical conference, I would not recommend.

Terrible service

I called late to let the Hotell know that we would check in really late, after midnight. My first call they didint even answerd the phone, the woman who answerd the phone finally couldnt here me because they had a big party at the hotell, but she could tell me that the room that I booked she couldnt give me, (a family room) we would have two doublerooms instead.... And that I should know that the party was going to be loud until 4 in the morning... I said that we travel with Children and we need to sleep, she said that she couldt do anyting about it, and she couldnt cancel the booking either. Sadly we had to make the dission not to stay at the hotell even thought we already hade paid for the hotell and without our Money back. Wrong room and a loud party, we should get our moneyback... :(

Rejected at the restaurant because we had kids

The hotel was generally as most other Mercure hotels. BIG MINUS: We got rejected at the restaurant because we were a family with kids (i.e. two quiet girls, 10 and 15 years). The waitress was young but extremely arrogant, and I've never experienced anyone like her even though I travel a lot. On the positive side: We got free breakfast in the morning because of the incident with the waitress, and our kids were even allowed to eat the breakfast in the restaurant.

we were informed when we arrived there would be a wedding and no food or drink could be served on the day and the wedding would go on until 4:00 p.m. - husband had just come out of hospital and we have to move to another hotel. Reception informed me we should have got an email from expedia or hotels.com which we didn't get nor did we get a refund...very disappointed

Beautiful, well maintained hotel close to medical centre. Excellent staff. Away from downtown, so you need to take the tram to get around. I was there for a medical convention at the health complex.

Easy to talk to English-speaking staff. Good location to the schools - my son attends Purdue University in walking distance.
I was there for breakfast every day, enjoying fresh food at reasonable prices. My family joined me for dinner one evening where we enjoyed great service and food. Nice lobby and sitting area outside by the pool. Too bad the weather prevented wading in!

Leider sind keine Buchungen für 1Tag möglich.Auch direkt Buchungen im Hotel nicht möglich. Das Restaurant schließt um 21:30. Die Preise für Getränke sind sehr hoch. Das Hotel liegt nicht zentral deshalb gibt es keine anderen Restaurants in der Nähe. Dies nutzt das Management für die hohen Preise im Hotel Restaurant

Mange problemer vedr. booking, men ok hotel

Et okay Hotel, der dog ligger et godt stykke fra centrum. Hotellet havde mange problemer med vores bookingdetaljer, og vi skulle dagligt dokumentere, at vi faktisk havde betalt for morgenmad hjemmefra. Hertil kom, at personalet ved vores ankomst var i tvivl, om vi havde betalt for opholdet. Problemerne blev dog løst hen ad vejen. Morgenmadsbuffeten var rigtig god, rengøringen så absolut godkendt.

Der Aufenthalt war gut. Das Zimmer war mit allen nötigen Sachen ausgestattet. Die Entfernung zur Stadt ist in Ordnung. Ŵir hatten sie Fahrräder mit und waren in 25 min in der Stadt. Das fahren mit den Räder in Hannover ist sehr angenehm.

Parkplatz ist vor Ort jedoch kostenpflichtig. Das Frühstück fanden wir sehr teuer und haben es

Checkin um 21:15 Uhr war sehr freundlich, schnell und unkompliziert. Hinweis, dass Küche um 22:00 Uhr schließt. Direkt vom Zimmer das Restaurant angerufen wg Room Service, Essen und Trinken (keine Minibar). Siebenmal (7x) angerufen (21:25 Uhr - 21:45 Uhr). Niemand hat das Telefon bedient und meine Bestellung angenommen. Ich gehe davon aus, das Personal wollte nicht mehr arbeiten.Ergebnis: KEIN SERVICE! Beim Checkout wurde ich nicht nach meiner Zufriedenheit gefragt. FAZIT: Dieses Mercure ist nicht zu empfehlen! Ich bin ca. 50-60 Hotelübernachtungen/Jahr. Ein solch mieser, fauler Service ist eine Frechheit. Das habe ich noch nie erlebt!
