As Hampton Inns go, this one is lackluster. No amenities at all, tiny rooms with no closet, no desk or chair, just a bed and a bedside table. Service ignored my room for days, I had to request fresh towels and paper from reception, then go down and get it. When they did service the room, they give you 3 kleenexes wadded into the empty box.
The restaurant serves a decent English breakfast, but the dinner menu is only a few items.
It's clean and centrally located, and that's enough for some people. Staying for a whole week, I was eager to get out by the end.

Reception was unwelcoming, piles of half filled carrier bags all over the floor. Approx. 30 of them. Reception staff member did not inform us of how parking worked. When I asked where breakfast was served, he said aggressively, “wait you need a key” English language skills were sub-par for reception.
We came down for breakfast and there were only two tables that weren’t covered in dirty plates, however, they were unclean and sticky. There was barely any food available. Everything hot had been sat so long it was dry, the cheese was crusty, so many trays empty. The tea and coffee station was filthy, rubbish everywhere.
The lady looking after the food and breakfast area on 24/10 was unprofessional. She loudly said I’m getting a plate of food before they eat it all, and cleared out the hot items. 6 more guests came down and were left with only beans and scrambled egg. She was constantly stood on her phone. Did not clear or clean any tables in the 45-minutes we were there. She kicked the kitchen door everytime she went through. Then dead on 11am, turned off everything and rushed to clear away leftover food. There were still guests trying to get a refill of water etc. Whilst she rushed to clear away food, the dirty tables were all left.
The room was nice and a good layout. Bed felt cheaper than a premier inn bed but no issues.

Service is absolutely terrible from the staff, dirty and yellow marks on the bedding, requested for vegetable option for breakfast when booking but there wasn’t any on the day apart from tearless mushroom, we were slightly late to check out, the way staff start to knock on door one after another then walked into room without our permission, is absolutely insane. Overpriced rates, awful breakfast.
Well, firstly, we got charged £116 by Hotel.com for a king room (two twin beds pushed together) so technically its a twin room not a king size as stated. The hotel rate for the same room was £86, so felt ripped off by Hotel com. Will never book through Hotel.com again. 30% more for booking in advance!!! Shouldn't this be cheaper?. Breakfast was mushrooms swimming in fat, fatty bacon, cheap sausages, coffee didn't work proper, told staff, they didn't seem interested. Layout of the hot plate meant people were queuing to make toast and stopping others to go through. For the price I'd expect a lot more, especially in a place like Rochdale, over priced rates, awful clientele, quite rough. Should not have the Hilton name on this Hotel. It was Noisy at night, attracted low clientele. Hotel.com and Hilton shoould be ashamed

We usually book rival similar chain hotels, but this was a cheaper option for the date. So pleased we booked. Much better than the rivals, service from arriving to leaving was excellent. room modern and spotless. Bed very comfortable. Excellent shower, with all toiletries, including body lotion. And the booking included a gym and buffet breakfast. Will be our choice in future
