Clean room, big smart TV, nice bathroom. Breakfast was nice.
Overall it’s a nice hotel apart from the bar restaurant area had very loud music with a singer all evening. It was so loud that the staff couldn’t hear us properly to take our order and ended up ordering the wrong food. We couldn’t hear each other speak and in the end had to go and sit out side.

Recently refurbished and looking great. The reception staff on check were very professional and helpful. The room was in excellent condition and very clean.
The bar/restaurant was very busy on Sunday early evening and was a bit confusing as to how to order food. When it came the food was fresh, tasty and well prepared.
The breakfast was a bit odd, eaten in the restaurant and had to wait quite a few minutes before a member of staff arrived to book us in. However, the buffet was in an adjoining small room. The selection was fine but the room would be difficult to navigate if there were more than a few customers in at the same time.
Receptionist on check out was talking to another member of staff and didn’t bother to ask if everything was okay with our stay.
However, it’s a lovely, clean well located hotel and would definitely stay again.

After using Expedia for many years, I have now become aware that booking a hotel room via Expedia (and the like) results in being allocated a second rate room by the hotel, as they have to make up for a (perhaps) cheaper sale & commission costs!
The Da Vinci Hotel is undergoing an upgrade and is generally looking good, but our room is presumably awaiting its' turn! The bathroom wasn't great - there were water/damp stains on the ceiling, the shower tray overflowed & the fittings required and upgrade.
On our first night the hotel was apparently busy and the dining room staff seemed stressed! We are out on the other nights. The bar was good. Breakfasts were good.
The hotel is out of town so you need a car to get into the city.

The hotel was fine as far as having everything we needed, but the atmosphere just seemed a little cold. The bar area was amazing though. Much more warm and cozy than the rest of the hotel. Also, our room was on the first floor near the back of the hotel, and they are renovating right now and started working really early right outside our room.

Where do I start!! My husband and I stayed two nights in Da Vinci's hotel during the Derry jazz festival. Before check in we had lunch in the bar which was very tasty, but trying to get drinks at the bar was almost impossible, lots of times both myself and my husband were ignored while others around us were served. They were obviously serving locals known by the staff. We eventually left and went into town.
Then we opted for breakfast in our room on our last morning. We left out the card with our order before we went to bed .
The next morning we waited for breakfast which didn't arrive, we looked and the card was still on the door handle. I phoned reception 3 times and was told someone was on their way up to sort it out. Never happened so I eventually phoned down and said forget it, there was absolutely no apology from the receptionist. 10 mins later the manager rang and apologised saying they had walked the floor 4 times during the night and didn't see our card , suggested maybe another guest moved it🤔 then how was it still on our door handle?
At checkout I asked for a refund for the two breakfasts and was told they were complimentary so no refund. The whole experience at Da Vinci's showed us the staff couldn't care less about customer care. Do not recommend this hotel.

Während unseres Aufenthaltes im Mai 2025 wurde gerade der Eingangsbereich umgebaut. Wir waren tagsüber unterwegs, so daß man nur morgens beim Frühstück die fleissigen Handwerker hört.
Der Pub ist im Original noch viel besser als auf den Bildern.
Kostenlose (öffentliche) Parkplätze vor der Tür.

We were advised that some refurbishment works were happening in the restaurant on our arrival but where told this wouldnt affect us as we were in the opposite side of the hotel. We soon found out early the next morning that this wasnt the case, woken by constant pneumatic drilling that sounded like it was coming through the wall.... on inspection it was..... as it was the bedroom right next door to us that they where drilling in. We went for breakfast, tired, waited for over 10 minutes for someone to arrive to seat us. Then when we were finally seated, our order was taken and left with the kitchen. No-one came to the kitchen to even start to cook the food for another 15 minutes. I asked for sausage, soda and bacon. I got 2 sausages, the tiniest piece of soda bread Ive ever seen and two very small pieces of what I can only describe as fat (which should have been the bacon - it looked think the actual bacon had been removed! Anyway after staying here once before in the past and coming back to have a relaxing stay, it was awful. There are some nice hotels to stay in Derry, I certainly couldn't recommend this one.

The Da Vinci Hotel is on the outskirts of Derry, which makes it ideal for day trips in the area. It is also a short drive into Derry. The hotel has well appointed, spacious rooms. The breakfast is wonderful with a godd variety of food. The staff are very personable, friendly and professional. Thank you for a great stay in Derry.

The hotel itself was in a nice building.

The check-in staff were literally non-existent. When we found someone it was disorganized.

We stayed for dinner and I’d rate that a 2 out of 5. If you want deep fried and extremely oily food, eat there. Service was a zero out of five. They bring you an empty water glass with nothing to drink. The whole dinner experience was stomach turning.

The room was nice, clean and comfortable. But with a large party down the hall, I wondered if they focus more on events than the sleeping experience of their hotel guests.

The checkout staff were warm and friendly.

The website showed water views and a lovely outside area. This hotel is in an industrial area with views of huge storage silos. It has a noisy bar scene so you cannot open the windows for fresh air because the smoke and noise fills your room AND it has no air conditioning!! We couldn’t wait to leave the next morning.

My room was nice, and the staff was very accommodating when I told them at the end of my day that they needed to replace the bathroom trash bucket! In desperate need of renovation. Just been taken over, so work in progress. Our bedroom sockets fused, so had to request a move. The workmen woke us up at 7am banging loudly underneath our room- which we heard because our window was open because there's no air conditioning and it was very hot. The towels were well worn. No fridge or safe in the room. Hard mattress & no mattress toppers. The bar was nice although dated. The staff were excellent & supportrive. May revisit when the renovation is complete, but we moved hotels after one night this time.

Just spent 3 nights here. Staff excellent as was the restaurant and bar facilities. Room serviced daily and always clean
It is also very popular with locals and advise booking the restaurant
It’s located about 15 min walk along the river walkway from the centre of Derry but if you don’t want walk taxis are plentiful and cheap
If I had any small issue was that we were ground floor and suffered slightly from noise associated with the nearby shops and the bins from the bar
There has been lot of money spent on hotel and it shows
Special shout out to the restaurant staff and manager
Would definately recommend both Derry and this hotel for a stay
