Was perfect for my stay quick overnight. The shower was a bit confusing (maybe directions), bed was comfortabe, sheets where nice, towels where OK. The tow ladies in the morning very nice excellent french press coffee and cooked to order breakfast. Check-in was good and fast. Parking is a bit rough.

Nightmare stay
TL;DR: do not stay here. The owner doesn’t care what goes on inside the B&B. My stay was awful.
At 9PM, some gentlemen came into the sitting area and were conversing loudly. Only 9, so not an issue yet. Over the next 3 hours I asked them 3 separate times if they could quiet down so we could sleep. I was met with either indifference or outright hostility.
Around 12AM, the front door is slammed 5+ times over 10 minutes with these men going in and out of the building. Soon after, I’m delighted to piece together that these men are staying in the room directly above mine. For the next 30min there was a lot of \"activity\" on their bed (absolutely everything, especially the beds, creak here). Around 1 it quieted down.
At 2:30, one of them was outside without a key. He rings the doorbell (it was a Ring that called the owner), yells, and pounds on all exterior doors. Finally he comes back to the front door (adjacent to my window) and knocks on our window while screaming. My wife is now woken up and scared. The owner finally lets him in.
One of the worst parts? The owner blamed us for not asking for a “quiet room” and said he has no responsibility for the conduct of his guests. He also called these men “fine Scottish gentlemen” as if that excuses their actions. He refused to issue any kind of remedy nor take any responsibility for what happens on his property. This place was a nightmare for someone wanting to stay at a BED and breakfast to sleep.
Also, no hot water!

Great stay!
Great staff, comfy bed and possibly the best shower I’ve ever used! Very good location! Only very minor critique is the Wi-Fi is spotty in the room and the light bulb in the main light in room is super dim and needs replacing (but that’s a 2 min job!)

We loved our experience here! Very personable, quaint, lots of character, and friendly.
Breakfast was amazing. Quick and the food was delicious. Our only complaint was the bed was uncomfortable and small. Amazing experience in Ireland, thank you.

Felt like staying with family not in a hotel or b&b, the staff was ridiculously kind and hospitable. Incredible breakfast every morning and a close walk to anything and everything in Derry! Book directly with them through their website or give them a ring, DO NOT BOOK WITH EXPEDIA

Quiet spot in Bogside
This is a small hotel that once housed a very active tea room. The daily breakfast is served in the dining area of the former tea room, and the ladies serving breakfast were welcoming and offered to make any kind of eggs or toasts you liked. We enjoyed a full Irish breakfast our first morning and then slimmed down for our remaining days. Our room was on the ground floor and was mostly white walls (different from the pictures on the listing). Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Our bathroom sink was installed backward so the hot water was on the cold side of the faucet, but once we figured that out, we were good. The shower has an instant heater so no issue with plenty of hot water in the shower. Our first night was chilly so we looked to turn on the heater, but seems the steam heaters are only enabled during certain hours of the day. They were running in the morning for shower time. Would have liked a little more control over it, but we guessed it was to try to have some energy efficiency.
This place is located on the Bogside of the city, literally around the corner from the murals addressing as well as the Museum of Free Derry. Its just a few minute walk to the city walls, and of course all the restaurants available in town. The main street with pubs and music was a short walk away. The location is ideal and quiet, other than when other guests were coming in the front door after the pubs.

Sound spot
Great stay at Abbey B&B. Hosts excellent and accomodated me with my booking error. Room/bathroom spotless and beds comfy. Peaceful considering it's proximity to the city centre. Tasty breakfast served with a smile. Would definitely stay again.
Andrew
Very welcoming hosts
Karen
Great place to stay in Derry
This is a great location - walking distance to City Centre. We were there in mid-January when there were no other guests, but Seamus communicated with us in advance so we knew how to reach him when we arrived and he was very friendly and helpful. His wife Cathy made us a custom breakfast the next day and let us keep our luggage there while we toured Derry.
Sierra
Property manager wasn’t even on site when I arrived. Lights off. Doors locked. Place didn’t even look like it was in business.
No note on the door or pre instructions in case this happened. Tried calling and texting the number provided with no response. After 2 hours, the property manager finally responded. Too bad at that time I found a new hotel with excellent customer service.

Good location - easy walk into town. Easy parking. Host had good local recommendations when asked. Shouldn’t really be called a B & B when breakfast is an additional charge though - it is simply a bedroom with en suite in a home.
Linda
Decent B&B with good location and great breakfast
Older building so a bit cold and damp. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Street parking only but we walked everywhere so only parked once.
Daniel
A+++ Stay. Wonderful hosts, excellent location, large clean room, quiet location and amazing breakfast. Parking directly out front on the street. Very clean room and bathroom. The host were the best -\" AMAZING\". Walkable to all the historic sites and walled city. I would return again. 10 +++/ AAA+++ stay . Daniel - USA
Mike
Very convenient location with street parking. Room was small met met all the needs. Host was great and the breakfast was wonderful. Short walk to all the sites!
Fridrun
The staff were very friendly and did their best to be helpful.
Elaine
Friendly helpful staff
Yeillie
The property is close/walkable to sites that Derry is famous for, e.g. the Walled City area, the murals, the Derry Girl mural, Derry Clock Tower, the St. Eugene Catholic Cathedral, the Peace Bridge over the Foyle River. Irish Breakfast offered big portions to finish. Hosts, especially Seamus, were too friendly.
Jason
The room was great lots of character the dinning room was filled with great music memorabilia. The breakfast was fantastic
GERARD
Its Clean tidy and friendly everything was perfect will be staying there again
Rachael
Loved our stay
Craig
Loved the location as it was within walking distance of so many wonderful sights and places.
Renzo
Very familiar hispitality in noiseless area!
Carmen
Way too expensive for the service you get. No one at the reception, the room was clean but the dining room where we had breakfast was not. If I had paid half of what I paid I would have given 5 star.
Paul
Close to bus station and half hour walk across river from train. Close to Free Derry and Peacemakers museums, city walls. Pleased I stayed here.
Lloyd
The location of this property is excellant, being in the heart of the historical Bogside neighbourhood of Derry. Likewise, it's walkable from the bus station, close to key points of interest and there are plenty of very good pubs and eating venues nearby.
Or check-in was a bit slow, but service otherwise was excellant, especially the cheery ladies at breakfast. Overall, the breakfast was very good.
As for facilities, everything you need is available either in your room or in the common areas.
The building itself is typical of Bogside, but has been expanded and looks better maintained than its neighbours.
Overall, we found it to be excellant value for money.

A basic guest house with very friendly staff. The property is in a run down area of the Bog Side. This is a double edged sword: it's not a particularly attractive location but it fantastic for the museum of Free Derry and other 'attractions' close by. It's also only a 5 minute walk into the city centre.
Kevin
Staff was great! I don't eat eggs so they whipped up a special breakfast for me.
rutta
Lovely owners and staff! The property is very central which makes it easier to get around. I’ll definitely be back!
Claudia
I would highly recommend this B&B to my friends and family!!
Sijo
Fantastic
Mariko
My experience was average overall.
The host was not immediately available and moderately welcoming. I feel that the property didn't reflect the cost of the room. I had great difficulty getting the room key to unlock the door from the inside. Breakfast was more than adequate and the ladies preparing and serving the meal were quite friendly and accommodating.

What great hosts Séamus & Helen…warm & friendly! Tips for what to see & do in Derry were really useful. Location is excellent; very close to the city walls and the heart of the city and of course situated in the Bogside with such a tale to tell. Spaghetti House to eat and Peadar O’Donnells for a Guinness were great recommendations. I’ll be back!
Tim
Lovely friendly owners. Made you feel very welcome. Lots of local knowledge.
Kristine
Very good. Great location and spacious rooms.

This was a great stay! The staff was fantastic!!!

Short trip to Derry
The owners were friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was adequate and the location convenient for city sightseeing. I would recommend viewing area of B&B prior to booking.

Good breakfast, good service, only drawback was that no one was in the building if you needed them.
