Reference stay in Charbonnieres
The hotel is very convenient for any stop North of Lyon, close from Charbonnieres and Tassin city centers. The hotel restaurant is very good and has enough choices for a week stay. The room is always clean, with a comfortable bed. The service is also great, I had a minor remark about the room which I communicated to the staff and that was resolved immediately.

This was just an overnight business trip. Good standard of accommodation and a very nice meal. Bar opens around 6.00pm but closes early, around 9.00pm on this stay. Nice enough for me on a business stop.

Two day business trip staying at the Mercure, one of the best hotels I've stayed at... and I travel a lot! Rooms were clean, new decor, very spacious with all the amenities you would need. The restaurant was superb, great quality food and drink. Will definitely stay here again.

Was there for 4 nights on business. Chose this hotel as it was closest to my client's office, and to avoid long taxi journeys from central Lyon. (the traffic in Lyon is notorious during rush hour)
The evening meals in the restaurant is absolutely top-notch (and indeed my taxi driver told me it was one of the best places to eat in Lyon) - although I did find one of the older waiters a bit rude. A smile would have resulted in a generous tip, instead I didn't leave anything.
Breakfast is also good, and a good selection of things to choose from.
The rooms are small and the bedroom was a little tired - but the bathroom was modern and seemed recently done (room 221).
Overall - I would stay here again.

I arrived late after a horrendous drive from Lyon Airport in the worst weather ever!
However, I was greeted is a friendly manor and most professionally, I was in my room within 3 minutes. Showered and relaxing in the restaurant within 30. Food was good, price fair. Will I stop there again? Definitely!

The hotel was quite quiet when we stayed, so the car parking was easy. The staff were very helpful getting foam pillows etc. The rooms are on the small side, but the bed is large and comfortable and their was a separate wardrobe area and bath which was great. The breakfast / minbar was very much hotel prices so we skipped this and dinner was not available on the night we stayed, but there is plenty located nearby so was not an issue.

We went to visit relatives living in the area and our room had just been refurbished and was spotlessly clean. The staff were very polite and friendly. The only hiccup was that we had to drag our suitcase up 2 flights of stairs as there is no lift.

Good alternative to hotels in town
The hotel has a great restaurant, but it is better to order only one dish to avoid having your restaurant tab exceed the room cost. Breakfast, although acceptable, is also extremely overpriced for what is provided. If you control the amount you eat and skip breakfast, it's a worthwhile experience. Ask for a room on the back side of the hotel to avoid the traffic noise. Internet worked well and parking was included, with easy access to the motorway a short distance from the hotel.

Le cadre est agréablement calme, mais la climatisation ne fonctionne pas et ils n’ont pas de ventilateur à disposition. Je sais que nous sommes au mois de mai. Mais à Lyon au mois de mai, certaines journées sont lourdes et chaudes. Il me semble que pour un hôtel de ce standing, la climatisation est un élément DE BASE. En Asie, aux USA, au Moyen orient, et plus près de nous, en Espagne, ils ne sont pas si pingres avec le confort de leurs hôtes

Séjour plutôt agréable. Le personnel est accueillant. La chambre plutôt propre et étant à 4 nous avons pu bénéficier de chambres communicantes. Le seul petit bémol c’est qu’on a trouvés que le buffet du petit déj était chère pour pas énormément de choix.

La chambre réservée ne correspondait pas à celle réservée sur hôtel.com, il manquait un canapé lit.
La réception de l’hotel m’a pas souhaité proposer une autre chambre malgré nos demandes.

La camera era pulita. Purtroppo, però, il ristorante non era funzionante quando siamo arrivati. Forse perché stavano facendo dei lavori. Noi siamo arrivati domenica sera e così pensavamo di mangiare in hotel. Alla reception ci hanno offerto la possibilità di prendere da loro dei piatti già pronti o ordibare della pizza da un ristorante esterno. Purtroppo abbiamo dovuto optare per la seconda scelta.
