I have stayed at different Appartcity locations in the past and enjoyed them. I was suprised at the run-down condition of this one and the lack of basic kitchen stuff. Cutting board and knife? Salt maybe? Lots of furniture in shoddy shape and lots of weird brown splotches on the wall (dead bugs?). The bed was weirdly uncomfortable - super hard foam, hard enough to cut off circulation in my arms, which slowly sunk over the night to end up being both way too soft and still super hard. Otherwise, location was good, staff was nice, and it was ok for a basic stay.

No one on reception to meet us. Reception shut. Not obvious that you had to let reception know if you were arriving late- didn’t think 8pm was late! Didn’t receive an email with how to book in and get onto the property once reception was closed.
Security man was as helpful as he could be with his limited English. Phone numbers on display in reception would not work with my English mobile.
However room itself was comfortable- though very hot and with no kettle sadly.

Cheap and you get what you pay for

Not clean, next to a rail line that keeps you up all night. You need to sleep with the windows open since there is no AC that makes it even easier to hear all the loud trains coming in and out of the station right behind the apartment. I would not recommend this place.

I liked the location, size, and kitchen in the apartment! However, our room was right outside the train station. The train went by in the middle of the night several times and was very loud. The parking garage was also completely dark with no lights which is very dangerous. Regardless, it was better than what I was expecting for a 2 star hotel.

We chose the location as it was close to an event happening in Lyon that we were going to. The parking is good, with a secure underground garage. The check in desk is unmanned after 1700 and keys are kept in a safe which you have to access yourself after contacting the emergency number displayed to get the code for, the keys are not marked with a room number, rather a code again, so you have to call back to get the code on the key translated to a room number......all a bit strange. The room itself was dated, and in quite poor condition with mould damage to some walls and floors. The bathroom although seemed clean had a terrible smell of blocked drains. On the whole, for the price, and for 1 night, its what you expect, clean bed, but very badly dated and in drastic need for renovation.

Noisy, unclean and extremely budget

The hotel location is very bad because it is by the train station so it is very noisy and difficult to sleep. When you walk in the kitchen theres a note saying that the kitchen must be kept clean otherwise a charge will be applied which seems very unfriendly. The staff were nice but they seemed to leave earlier than they were supposed. I was going to go downstairs and ask for a baby cot which they said they'd provide but the staff were all gone.

The hotel is on the other side of the city center.
The metro will is 2 minutes away and brings you to town in 10 minutes.
You cant take a walk to the city center and would recommend to to take the tunnel, it is quick and you would like it.
The river is close by and is a beautiful place to take a stroll.

Great find at the last minute.

Booked at last minute, So I was glad to find this place. Not close to the city center, but there is a Metro station (Gare de Vaise) just a block or two away that is very convenient to get to and from town.

Staff was friendly, room was nice and clean...so that was a plus. I would stay there again in a pinch, but would first seek something closer to the center; this is in the 9th arrondisement.

As advertised

This hotel is exactly as advertised. It is a apart-hotel which means apartments rented as hotel rooms.

+ space, kitchen, close to supermarket, transport, and on street parking.

- bed was hard, somewhere between what you'd expect from mattress in Asia and a western mattress. The train station behind the hotel was VERY loud, even with the double glazed window closed, as I live under a flight path in Sydney it was very similar to that in noise level.

Also either the air con was broken or I just couldn't figure out how to work it (either/or). I was only there for one night though so I didn't bother asking the receptionist to fix or help, I just left the window open (not advisable for those who can't sleep through loud noise).

Large comfort room

We were given a 2-piece room with kitchen and living room. The room is clean and big. The hotel is located far from the city centre but with metro connection (5 min walk to metro station, last station of the metro line). The check-in and check-out took time. They couldn't find our reservation and it took us 15min to get our changes back for the city tax. Overall, we are very satisfied with the stay.

Fantastic location but hot and noisy

We stayed in Aug during the heat wave. No air con or fan in the room so were forced to opened the windows. Unfortunately apartment was facing the train station and very noisy with freight trains etc all night long. Location was fantastic though, right next to a metro with free parking straight outside. I'd stay again but probably not in summer.

Our "room" was larger than anything we have had in England or France so far. The room actually had a separate bedroom & living room/kitchen area with lots of closet space. It was close to the Metro station, though we didn't find many restaurants nearby. Room was clean and bed was comfortable, our primary concerns. Kitchen area was equipped. They only cleaned once per week (we stayed 3 nights) which was fine with us since we kept it clean and don't mind using same towels for a few days, same as we would at home. We would stay here again if we were ever to come back to this area.

Just to have obvernihgt for last part of the route to Belle Plagne. Very cheap and in Lyon. Nice to be a bit in the outer part of Lyon at New Years Eve. No celebrations but found a nice cafe with very kind people in neigbourhood. Special experience. I would not recommend this kind of hotels but the reservation was very kindly handled and very quick form HighWay and back. You need naviagtion otherwise you'll won't find it. Beacause of 31st december the keys were avalible with a code. I doubt when the hotel is full what the experience will be. A lot of loosers in the house... Like we... :-) We popped the Champagne with the family. Happy NewYear.

Very basic space for a reasonable price

We booked the Park & Suites in part because they advertised a kitchenette and we were pleasantly surprised to find that it included two burners. It was also only a block from the subway. However, we found that it lacked a shower curtain for the bathtub so while there was a hanging nozzle you couldn't use it without spraying the bathroom. Furniture was basic -- hard plastic chairs, and bed was only a mattress and very low to the ground. Hot water takes hours to recover. The building was noisy (people upstairs and down), and no hotel staff on Sundays---while arrival was OK (outside vending machine gave us our key), we had no password for the wired internet. Hotel staff not helpful (could not provide change when we needed to buy subway tickets which only accept coins and we had bills).

Nice, quiet neighbourhood and convenient location

Very convenient location: 2 minutes walk from the train/bus station and the supermarket. A variety of eating places across the street. Place de Paris - something like the local shopping area where you can find the post office and the pharmacy- is just a little further beyond the train station.

The apartment was well-equipped and furnished. Made eating in a breeze. Very clean. Laundry facilities available 24-hr in-house also made it really convenient. The lifts were also a welcome relief after I had been to so many hotels without any in other parts of France and in Italy.

Only gripes: The shower suddenly spouted cold water halfway through my shower on the first day. Apparently if you finish the hot water in the tank in your room, you have to wait at least 45 minutes to get hot water again, No one told me when I checked in and there were 3 of them there. (They weren't the most friendly bunch.) I waited for almost 1.5h and still no hot water. And I went in the December when it was cold!

Staff weren't really friendly nor helpful, but everything else about it's location made up for it.

Wifi only available with a LAN cable. That means you need to have a laptop with you or no internet connection available.

Definitely would go back for the price and location.

More an apartment than hotel

The apartment was clean and bright. Situated near a small regional train station, not the main station, you require the very good metro or strong walking legs to get to the main parts of Lyon. For a self - supporting stay the apartment has a small but adequate kitchen and a separate lounge area. Be careful of booking in arrangements as there is only a limited-hours office, and no reception desk. The local supermarket is useful for food and supplies of dish washing materials.

Could've been forced to sleep in the car had it not been for a stroke of luck (i.e. one of the residents was entering, i grabbed her and she knew someone who knew the combination of the key safe in which our keys were stored - although we had not been told about this).

Nous avons pris un parking en sous sol pour sécuriser notre voiture : la porte d'accés au parking était en maintance , grande ouverte. Où est la sécurisation du parking ? J'ai réglé un prestation qui était absente...

Kitchen needs more small pans and cooking pots. The 2 provided could not even sit together on the hot plate. They were too large! Vern annoying. A dish drying towel and dish washing cloth should be provided and was not. I myself purchased to keep the the kitchen sanitary. The first shower, water ran out on to the floor because the drain was not maintained. Towels were needed to prevent a flood! After contacting management the problem was resolved. Thank you.

Jute une nuit en famille, face à la gare (bruyant). Propreté et état général assez moyen, plus de savon dans la douche, interrupteurs aux fonctionnements douteux, écoulements presque bouchés et nauséabond, réfrigérateur inondée, non climatisé et juste un ventilateur pour 2 chambre.
Sinon la literie est propre et correct, l'accueil sympathique, le parking souterrain pratique.

Nous avons séjourné à l'appart City pour des raisons pratiques et de proximité avec nos enfants. La résidence est très correcte pour le niveau de prix. La chambre était prête et propre. L'information préalable satisfaisante. Au regard des critiques précédentes, nous étions un peu inquiets mais le séjour s'est très bien passé. Bien entendu, si vous souhaitez un séjour avec plus de charme, il est préférable de prendre un hôtel trois ou quatre étoiles à Saint Jean.

Die Unterkunft hat ausreichend Platz. Viel Stauraum durch Einbauschränke. Eine Klimaanlage gibt es leider nicht. Sie liegt direkt am Bahnhof und ist daher bei offenem Fenster recht laut, wenn Züge vorbei fahren. In dem Apartment waren eine spuren der Vorgänger zu sehen, sprich es wurde nur sehr oberflächlich gereinigt. Trotz vorheriger Info, dass wir mit 4 Personen anreisen, gab es nur 1/4 Rolle Toilettenpapier, was bei der Anreise am Abend sehr ungünstig war.

È una struttura piuttosto nuova in quartiere di recente costruzione, fuori dal centro, quindi comoda per chi è di passaggio, come nel nostro caso, ma vicinissima alla stazione del metro. Personale molto gentile, parcheggio sotterraneo, a pagamento, ambiente semplice, ma fornito di tutto, abbiamo sentito un po' l'assenza dell'aria condizionata con il caldo di quest'estate

Arrivee 18h00, notre appart au dernier etage etait comme un four enviton 34'c surrement pas aéré depuis quelques jours caniculaires. Pas de clim et ventilateurs voles( d apres l hotesse d acceuil)....nous avons du dormir fenetre ouverte avec le bruits des trains marchandises et les projecteurs sncf toute la nuit sans parler des odeurs de cigarettes qui remontent par les balcons.nous avons ecourté notre sejour sans pouvoir annuler la deuxieme nuit car les conditions via hotel.com ne le permettent pas...une honte

Résidence très très sale, partie communes très sales, appartement d’apparence propre, mais torchon plein de tâches, éponge déjà utilisée auparavant, serviettes de toilette sentant la lessive mais tachées…
Store de cuisine plein de gras et de poussière dans la partie pliée. (On masque les défauts)
Literie d’appoint inconfortable.
Isolation inexistante, par temps de grosses chaleurs, le sol en carrelage était chaud, l’eau froide n’était pas froide…
Les vitres n’ont pas été faites depuis très très longtemps.
Personnel très sympa mais la saleté aura eu raison de mon choix !

Séjour convenable, appartement au 6ème dominant la gare de Lyon Vaise particulièrement bruyant avec les fenêtres ouvertes par temps chaud (pas de clim). Nous avons pris option petit déjeuner qui est servi avec un choix restreint ; 1 pain (environ 1/2 baguette) et le pain au chocolat est mini (1 bouchée), pas de fruit frais, ni fromage. Accueil du personnel très agréable..

Résidence à proximité des commerces et des transports mais un eu trop de la route et de la voie ferrée! Assez ma insonorisé et isolé les écart de températures sont important. mais surtout le studio est vraiment mal meublé, on ne peu passer autour du lit qui est un pauvre 140 pour 2!
la propreté des sols laisse à désirée et la vaisselle est carrément incomplète. 9a n'est pas la meilleure des résidences et cela reste cher. L'accueil est très agréable et disponible.

Tres compliqué pour aller chercher la clé. Avec les valises.il faut reprendre un taxi de 45 minutes pour un total de 30€. Et pas comme sur les photos. Pas la même devanture et pas le meme appartement. Les bons côtés sont pres du metro, épiceries, boulangeries. Bon matelas
...ne pas se fier aux photos.

Appartement en piteux état : les murs sont sales ,la salle de bain fait fuir, porte d entrée a ete forcée , les drats sont lavés mais ont des taches !! Prises électriques déscellées du mur !!
Je me suis cru dans un squat !!
Bref ! Première et dernière fois que je réserve dans cet etablissement 60€ pour ça !!

En soit, le studio était plutôt correct, la salle de bain était propre et le lit confortable mais la télé ne marchait pas : j'ai fait remonté l'info, la personne en charge s'en est occupée à moitié car elle s'allumait mais impossible de se servir de la télécommande. J'ai pu avoir un ventilateur seulement pour ma dernière nuit sur les 3 où j'étais à l'hôtel. Au niveau des parties communes par contre on se croirait dans un parking : c'était sale, les sols collaient, on pouvait trouver des mégots et du squat dans les escaliers... C'est bien dommage car l'hôtel est plutôt bien situé mais je pense qu'un gros coup de propre et un vigile le soir ne seraient pas de trop.

Bien, Grande chambre avec cuisine et ce qu il faut. Litterie ok. Decoration spartiate. La gare Vaise, train et métro, bien pratique pieds. Le quartier est calme. Un supermarché à côté pour faire des courses. Accueil sympa et serviable. Si vous arrivez après 9h00, possibilité de récupérer les clefs car il n y a plus personne à la réception, mais joignable par téléphone.

Bon hôtel

Appartement propre. Le métro n'est pas loin. Seul bémol, le bruit des trains à l'arrière de l'hôtel. Et pensez à prendre du gel douche. Le prix était raisonnable. Je reviendrai si l'occasion se rencontre.
