Shenzhen Air International Hotel is a solid choice if you’re looking for a comfortable and convenient stay. The room was clean and reasonably spacious, with modern furnishings that made it easy to relax after a long day. It also felt a bit high tech, which I liked, and the bathtub was a great bonus. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check in and check out smooth and efficient. My only complaint is that it’s a bit far from the nearest metro station, about a 10–15 minute walk.

A brilliant and characterful hotel. Chosen by my other half who knows I'm a plane geek - this hotel is aviation-themed, with pictures and objects celebrating flight everywhere (even the staff are dressed as pilots and cabin crew!) It's fresh and spruce and the robots have no problem delivering takeout to your room (plenty of lifts). Best of all it's right in the action: eat streets are close by, Metro's a few minutes' walk, and you can get anywhere by DiDi in moments. Definitely where I'd book when next in Shenzhen.

Hotel staff are not very nice, they tend to be very silent not very friendly when you check in/check out. The room is quite small compared the picture, for a 5 star hotel and the money paid, nothing is surprising or impressive. We stayed in a 4 star hotel afterwards which is much more comfortable and spacious. This hotel is lack of service and amenities (no coffees offered at the lobby). Overall for the money paid the hotel just meet the expectations. Service needs to improve.

The hotel is walking distance from 2 main transit stations and lines which makes it very helpful to get around the city. Great service from the staff, particularly from Cherry and Emily who helped us with our luggage, and Jesse who arranged our airport drop off (free with the hotel stay). The gym and pool were also very nice. The room is spacious and had a great view of the city.

The room is very spacious and has a good layout. Very modern. Honestly I can spend a whole day in my room feeling homely. The beds are very comfortable. The aerospace theme makes it extra interesting. The only issue I would point out is that the shower door is a bit leaky, and the shower drain is slow. Every time I take a shower, some water leaked out to the floor outside. It is a minor issue.

Very nice hotel as a 5 star rating hotel. Their room lighting controls have many options to choose from: relax mode to working mode. It is very convenient to travel to the airport especially if you need to wake up early to catch a flight. One of the thing on safety is commendable, there is a calling for help button next to the toilet seat. I think not too many hotels even 5 stars will have that one button. Staffs are couteous. Breakfast buffet have many choices, very inter-continental.

Aircon was down for maintenance and only being informed few days before check in. I booked due to the \"include\" airport transfer. However website didn't specify 2 hourly only until I call up to make arrangement. Ended up having to take cab from airport as do not want to wait 2 hours. Breakfast meant for two but they only allow one as I am the only one staying. Also wasn't given welcome drink which supposed to be inclusive in the package. Nice hotel but unable to sleep for both nights due to without Aircon and wasn't happy about the no \"airport transfer\". Hotel could have compensated even if it's small gesture for the Aircon and transfer. With the cost I paid without transfer，I would have pick another hotel with same quality and lower cost.

Lovely staff!! Expedia gives a very good rate when i booked last minute. The service was great, they have loads of automated things but that did not stop the staff from being attentive. The room is clean, not very big but plenty of space, very modern and comfortable.

Review of my stay

The service offered was excellent from the front desk, housekeeping, cafe and bar. The room is big, layout is good and the bed is very comfortable.
However, I am confused and somewhat annoyed when the guy manning the counter at the gym and swimming pool area said I can’t swim in the pool because I don’t have a swimming cap. Say what? How many of us bring along a swimming cap when we travelled.

Nice Hotel, Beware the Smoke

Checking into the hotel was very easy. The rooms smelled like mold and cigarettes, despite the claims of being a non-smoking hotel. They had a nice “ turn down “ service where a cute box of soap was gifted.

There is a “ Happy Hour” deal on the 27th floor that offers food and beverage for 105 RMB. The cooked food was ok, since the trays were not heated. The unlimited drinks and snacks were nice.

There is also a free shuttle to the airport which is 40 minutes from the hotel. It runs on a schedule so make sure you look up the times of your journey.

Surprisingly Great Find

Who would have thought a hotel connected to an airline would be awesome? I scooped this up because of discounted prices and expected something tolerable but to my great surprise discovered a 4 star hotel that was very comfortable, clean, and well-positioned in the city. Much better than the Marco Polo in Coco Park, arguably on par with the JW Marriott down the road. I'd stay here again.

The overwhelming floral aroma pumped into all the public areas was unbearable, resulting in headaches and me fleeing to get back to my room or outside while trying to enjoy a meal or beverage. I'm not sensitive but it was like living in a potpourri factory. Worse!

The Chinese restuarant at level 3 is a ripped off and even short changed us in their service. Charged us for tea that we never consumed. Neither did we ordered. Insisting that is their SOP. Only when we wanted to speak to their manager that the cashier changed a new bill. Very bad attitude when taking orders. No patience in explaining their signature dish to us when asked and even humiliated us by staring with a hostile look while we were discussing about their dish. We were also being discriminated when paying our bill. Told us to go to the cashier to pay our bill as they do not bring our credit card to their cashier. Others' dinners were not treated this way !. We wanted to launch a complaint to the hotel but was told by the reception that the restaurant was only a tenant. Is not part of the hotel. Nothing can be done. What kind of an image is this. Does it means that this hotel is not at all concern about their reputation ?.

Overall it is a very nice hotel, staff was very courteous and helpful. We actually stayed there our first night, checked out for the weekend and then elected to check back in for the duration of our trip because we were that content with our first stay.
The sole issue was on our second visit the first room we were given had a definitive odor of tobacco smoke. To be fair, it was a non-smoking room and I'll bet the previous visitor had just chosen to ignore that. Even so, we were immediately changed to a new room without any problems. Would certainly stay here again. Also in an excellent location along Shennan Rd with easy access to the subway and several restaurants.

I have stayed here on two occasions and find it very nice and fresh with courteous staff and a good gym and great breakfast buffet. I can therefore recommend it. I have some minor remarks though. There are some creaking sounds from the window, maybe due to wind. There is a pool but if you want to swim in it, you will be asked to wear a bathing cap which is totally ridiculous and uncomfortable. Both times staff occasionally knocked on the door to give me things that I didn't ask for, like a water bottle, matches, peppered peanuts.

A quick overnight stay in Shenzen on my way to Hong Kong. Staff was very courteous and I was able to check in quickly, get some food late, and get the rest I needed before heading into Hong Kong that following morning.

Very slow at resolving issues

The hotel is very nice and everything, but when we arrived they did not have our reservation. It was an error either from Hotels.com or the hotel reservation system. Their attitude was very shaky at best. The situation was finally resolved but it took two days and they never really gave a heck about us. Their only concern was to take a deposit on the credit card just in case we were crooks or something. BAD ATTITUDE from management.

Have stayed at the hotel several times. Rooms are OK for a business hotel but nothing special. Breakfast area is way too small for a hotel of this size. Consistently hard to find seats. At times have been sent to another restaurant on the second floor as an overflow area with much less selection.

Very Convenient for My Business Trip

I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing is a problem. When I was worried that my suitcase might be overweight the porter was sorry to inform that they did not have baggage scales only scales for people. He still arranged to have these delivered to my room very quickly, and they turned out to be perfect. I look forward to my next trip there.
