Check in was quick and easy. Room was super clean and spacious. Bathroom had a stand alone sink so needed to improvise for my things but was ok. Amazing grounds!! Wonderful attentive staff.

They put a lot of money in making the resort presentable (plants, landscaping, pool, jacuzzi), but the room lacks basic necessities - NO PLACE to hang clothes. Because La Fortuna rains so often, you definitely will need to hang your stuff to dry, and there wasn't even a hanger or a closet. We finally had to ask for 2 lawn chairs.
Water service also stopped with no warning at least 3 times (though each time didn't last too long) during the short stay (3 days) we had there.

The grounds were most beautiful. A true feel of nature with small tributaries and a jungle like feel. The rooms are a bit dated and could use an extra mirror as the only one was in the bathroom. Overall, I loved it. The food was very good and we loved our waiter Fabian. The front desk was always helpful and they also had a laundry service that we were very happy to use.

Grounds are way more beautiful and lush than the pictures show. Pool area has cool and warm and hot pools. AC in the room was nice and cold. Excellent water pressure and hot water in the shower. Front desk helped us contact the rafting and chocolate activities we did. Location is 5 minute walk from the El Salto rope swing. A few minutes driving to get to the center of La Fortuna. Close to everything but just off the main road so very quiet - you don't hear any traffic - just the birdsong. There is also a rushing waterfall and river on the back of the property that made a beautiful soothing background noise. There is no closet/hangers or way to hang up wet things (or towels) unless you bring your own hooks/clothesline, which we did. Brought simple plastic over-the-door hooks which were lifesavers. Put the clothesline outside but nothing really dries unless it is in the direct blazing sun or inside away from the humidity.

I stayed 7 nights at the resort, it was beautifully landscaped,
restaurant staff, was great very attentive at the restaurant and brought drinks to the pool, food was above par and fast.
Cons: our bathroom didn't work for 4 nights out of our stay. having two kids, my Mother in Law, made it very inconvenient to have to walk down to the restaurant to use the bathroom for 4 days was ridiculous, morning and night. Telling hotel staff, seemed to bother them.
Hot tubs were warm for the first 3 days, finally by the last 4 nights they were HOT. BE AWARE THAT YOU GET ONE POOL TOWEL PER PERSON PER DAY, no exceptions.. going in the pool in the morning you have to use the same towel if you go in again at night, no exchanges. and really no where to hang them to dry. seemed little excessive with kids.

Nice garden and pool. The room was not good. It was too small for four people. The wifi did not reach the room, there was no hooks, wardrobe, shelves or any place to hang wet towels and clothes. We had to have all our packing hanging on doors and the rooms only chair. Bad lighting and too firm beds. The AC was good. We asked if we could change to another room twice but the staff never came back to us with an answer.

3) they include free breakfast which very nice and tasty and the service at the restaurant was excellent. One night we chose to eat dinner there as well and the food and service were also very good.
4) the property is about a three minute drive from the centre of town so easy to get anywhere. Since parking is not that easy downtown, we chose to take uber which was about $4

I got the two bedroom and our rental smelled moldy and the wall had black mold. I told them about it but we didn’t have a choice because they said they had no more rooms available. Also, at check-in they put a $100 hold for deposit and said it would be released at check out time. They never released it, I called several times. I got the runaround for three days and kept telling me that I would get a call back and that they did not know why it wasn’t returned. I never got a call back. I had to dispute the transaction with my bank.

This Hotel was lovely! The tropical property was lushly landscaped and well-maintained. The restaurant area was open-air, service was efficient, and the food was good! We took Ubers to town and activities and they were readily available and reasonably priced. El Salto rope swing was nearby, which my boys loved.

The pools were nice, but the main hot tub was never available to us (empty for most of the days and not heated when full). The rooms seem like they are still being finished. It would be nice to have a coffee table and have the refrigerator on top of a cabinet for storing food. It would be nice to have curtains over the kitchen sink, as people outside can see into one of the bedrooms. It would be nice to have cooking implements (like a spatula) and coffee filters to go with the coffee maker. It would be nice to have end tables on both sides of the bed, and have electricity wired to both of them. We made do with our extension cords and the extra chairs. Still, we would stay here again.

This property exceeded my expectations and their photos do not do it justice! We realized we were booking a more budget hotel, but the property and service was incredible. Rooms were very basic but comfortable beds and great AC. There is very minimal storage in the room but we brought a few hooks and it was fine. The pools are gorgeous but the hot tubs could be warmer. Restaurant was so good, I loved the grilled chicken and guaro sours were the best we had in Costa Rica. We noticed a tour place right next store but had already booked our tours through another company. Property is just on the outskirts of town, could be walkable depending on if you are ok walking 10 minutes or so. El Salto is a free swimming hole with a rope swing and maybe a 3 minute walk. My only recommendation is to make the lobby more visible. We arrived at night and had a hard time finding it since there wasn’t a sign. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be back!!!

Our casita was like a duplex casita whereby we could hear our immediate neighbors snoring, coughing, and talking because of thin walls. There was no doorknob on our door, where the key was required to either open or close/lock the door. In the casita there were no face cloths or dish cloths even though there is a kitchenette. On the showerhead there was an electrical wire going to the showerhead with exposed wires, so we did not have a shower. The grounds, pool and restaurant were all well maintained and the staff were very friendly.

We loved how clean and well kept the property was. We noticed they drained and cleaned the pool twice in our 7 day stay which is amazing. The restaurant is convenient and the food is good, however we were hoping to see the swim up bar open, as we were in the pool and hot tubs daily. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I loved the creek type area behind our room, it made a nice background sound and was lovely to fall asleep to! The greenery and plants around the hotel were all very beautiful as well! The grounds and pool were very pretty and well maintained. Loved the little bubbling brook through the garden. The free breakfast had 3 choices that were all yummy. If you plan to cook in your kitchen there is a hot plate, microwave and coffee pot. Very limited kitchen but doable. Only complaint was no curtain over kitchen window so could not walk from bedroom to bathroom without being seen. Had to throw clothing on to go to bathroom or give the suites across the walkway a show. Good value god your money.

If you book a room with multiple beds, you’re going to be put in one of the funky units at the top of the property, away from everything else. The room we stayed in could only be locked with a deabolt using the key and the renovation job wasn’t great. These are not the rooms shown on the website and we heard loud bangs outside our room every night around 10pm. Sounded like gunshots but not sure. Pool was pretty nice, small and shallow grotto-style that our little one could stand up in. Staff was nice.
